Quebec Walmarts install vaccine passport scanner booths to screen customers

Photos from the entrance of a Walmart in Quebec, Canada show plexiglass vaccine passport scanner booths set up to screen customers entering the store.

According to Walmart, "The dividers are for associates when they scan vaccine passports."

Welcome to the new normal.

Comment: Quebec has gone full-Australia! They're not even attempting to justify these measures from a public health perspective. These are purely punitive measures to coerce vaccine compliance, and they clearly feel such measures are justified. Human rights be damned.

Court strikes down Pennsylvania's 'unconstitutional' universal vote-by-mail law

vote by mail ballots
A Pennsylvania court has ruled that a state law allowing for universal vote-by-mail was unconstitutional.

A January 28th opinion by Judge Mary Leavitt explains why the court struck down Act 77, which allowed all Pennsylvanians to vote via mail-in-ballots during elections.

"As we witnessed in 2020, Act 77 in its current form is susceptible to unconstitutional changes that weaken its election security safeguards. The state Supreme Court unilaterally extended the deadline for mailed ballots to be received and mandated that mail-in ballots lacking a verified signature be accepted. Additionally, the State Department encouraged certain counties to notify party and candidate representatives of mail-in voters whose ballots contained disqualifying defects; thereby enabling voters to cure said defects," explains State Senator Doug Mastriano.

Sean Penn says 'cowardly' men are surrendering their masculinity

Actor Sean Penn has commented on the perilous state of masculinity in the west, remarking that men shouldn't have to become 'feminized' in order to show respect for women.

The movie star made the comments during a sit down interview with The Independent.

Penn was quizzed on a previous statement in which he asserted, "I don't think that being a brute or having insensitivity or disrespect for women has anything to do with masculinity, or ever did. But I don't think that [in order] to be fair to women, we should become them."

Comment: Sean Penn is an establishment shill who's pro-mandatory vaccination. But at least he's right about the state of masculinity.

Steven Crowder thoroughly exposes Wikipedia's left-wing bias

wikipedia

Steven Crowder's latest video takes a deep dive into the alleged left-wing bias of Wikipedia, the world's most popular crowdsourced encyclopedia. While Wikipedia has an article on virtually everything under the sun, Crowder — like many other conservatives — has long suspected that it shields readers from the true set of facts, hiding ones that run contrary to progressive narratives on key social issues.

Rather than speculate, Crowder devised a simple hypothesis and test, aiming to see which edits Wikipedia allows on certain issues and which ones they reject. Crowder took the time to edit articles with factual statements and unbiased sources. He then waited for Wikipedia's response, even tallying up whether "truth" or Wikipedia won out the day. His latest episode of "Louder with Crowder" claims to "prove" that Wikipedia is biased. The results seem to show that the truth does not always win out on Wikipedia.

Crowder lumped Wikipedia in with "Big Tech," alleging, "As it turns out — and this should come as no surprise to anyone who knows even a little bit about how Big Tech operates — Wikipedia is full of bias."

Comment: That Wikipedia is a left-wing propaganda factory is hardly news, but it's nice to have Crowder thoroughly examine just how egregious and shameless the operation is.

Parent rights activists slam ACLU for opposing curriculum transparency laws amid CRT battles

critical race theory protest

Parent rights activists condemned the American Civil Liberties Union for opposing curriculum transparency laws, saying that the ACLU is siding with "nameless, faceless education bureaucrats" against parents when it comes to their kids' education.

Lawmakers in at least 12 states have introduced legislation to require schools to post lists of all their teaching materials online, including books, articles and videos. The governors of Arizona, Florida and Iowa have supported these efforts amid parents' concerns about critical race theory (CRT) — a framework that involves deconstructing aspects of society to discover systemic racism beneath the surface - infiltrating schools.

The free expression nonprofit PEN America called these laws "educational gag orders," and the ACLU tweeted its opposition to them.

Emerson Sykes, staff attorney in the ACLU Speech, Privacy and Technology Project, reiterated the ACLU's opposition to these laws.

"Government bodies should always strive for transparency, and the ACLU supports any good-faith effort to make public education as transparent as possible to parents and communities," Sykes told Fox News Digital. "But some of these so-called 'curriculum transparency bills' are thinly veiled attempts at chilling teachers and students from learning and talking about race and gender in schools. Their sponsors have said as much.

Comment: The ACLU is now a parody of its former self.See also:

UK parents jailed after baby died with 60+ broken bones in 'despicable' abuse case, child cruelty cases surged during lockdowns

Benjamin O'Shea and Naomi Johnson were found guilty of child cruelty after Amina-Faye's death
A couple have been jailed after leaving their eight-week-old baby with more than 60 broken bones before she died.

Benjamin O'Shea, 26, and Naomi Johnson, 24, claimed paramedics caused the fractures suffered by their daughter Amina-Faye - but they were found guilty of causing or allowing her to suffer physical harm.

O'Shea has been sentenced to eight years and eight months in jail, while Johnson was handed a prison term of seven years and two months.

In total, the little girl had 41 fractures to her ribs and 24 fractures to her limbs - with doctors concluding the injuries were "highly indicative that Amina-Faye had suffered continued physical abuse", police said.

Sweden rejects Covid vaccines for children under 12 finding 'little medical benefit'

Sweden's government has declined to recommend vaccinating children under 12 years old for COVID-19 after determining there would be little medical benefit for doing so.

The Public Health Agency of Sweden said in a press release Thursday that the medical benefit for an individual child aged 5-11 who has received a general vaccination against COVID-19 "is currently small," and that while the situation is being "constantly" assessed, it has decided against recommending a general vaccination of children under 12 years for the spring term of 2022.

"With the knowledge we have today, with a low risk for serious disease for kids, we don't see any clear benefit with vaccinating them," Health Agency official Britta Bjorkholm said during a news conference, Reuters reported.

Karin Tegmark Wisell, director general of the agency, said an updated guidance would be provided prior to the fall term, the press release said.

Comment: Meanwhile 'The Science' in other countries recommends subjecting children to this experimental, provably risky, and totally unnecessary injection. These same countries pushing the jabs on children also enforced 21+ months of harsh restrictions and rolling lockdowns and suffered greater excess mortality than Sweden that did not lockdown:

Police arrest woman's rights activist on suspicion of 'hate crimes' after she put up 'offensive' posters advocating for single-sex prisons

Jennifer Swayne
Jennifer Swayne, 53, was arrested on Sunday afternoon and detained until the early hours of the morning, while police officers executed a search warrant on her property and confiscated women's rights stickers and a book containing a collection of critical essays about the theory and practice of transgendering children
A women's rights campaigner who put up stickers and posters in Newport, Wales, has been arrested by police for 'criminal damage' and 'abusive writing' after people allegedly complained that her posters carried an 'anti-transgender message'.

Jennifer Swayne, 53, was arrested on Sunday afternoon and detained until the early hours of the morning, while police officers executed a search warrant on her property and confiscated women's rights stickers and a book containing a collection of critical essays about the theory and practice of transgendering children.

Some of the stickers and posters put up by Swayne carried feminist messages decrying violence against women, but others which bore phrases such as 'no men in women's prisons' and 'humans never change sex' were reported as being offensive.

Gwent police released a statement earlier this week alleging they had received complaints about the 'offensive messages' over a period of several months and that the posters contained 'abusive writing likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress'.

UK gov't threatens crackdown on unemployed who haven't a found job in the next four weeks

Jobcentre unemployed

Unemployed workers will be forced to take up a job in any sector or face swift financial sanctions under a crackdown designed to fill hundreds of thousands of vacancies in sectors from social care to construction, ministers have announced.

Claimants will be given just four weeks - down from three months - to find a job within their preferred sector. After that point, if they fail to make "reasonable efforts" to secure a job or turn down any offer, they will have part of their universal credit payment withdrawn under a tightening of existing Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) policy.

Comment: What is considered "reasonable" varies depending on the advisor one is paired with; bear in mind, over the past decade and more of 'austerity' measures, Job Centres have been dogged by scandals of advisors who, incentivized by target schemes, were particularly cruel to those they were meant to be helping.

These included a man who died of a heart attack hours after being found 'fit for work'; a paraplegic fire-fighter who was hounded over whether he was 'still unfit for work'; and an anorexic mother of four who, due to being in intensive care, was sanctioned for not attending her Job Centre appointment, she was found dead shortly after in her house that was freezing cold because she was unable to pay for heating.

The move, which is part of an initiative to get 500,000 people into work by June and fill 1.2m job vacancies nationally, comes as Boris Johnson seeks to reassert control over the political agenda amid the "partygate" crisis.

Comment: For the government, it's clearly a numbers game.

Comment: What is it with governments and deadlines for draconian measures these days? First it was the NHS vaccine mandates due for enforcement in April; there was an anti-protest bill that was just smacked down in the House of Lords; and now there's another deadline for the unemployed coming up; one gets the impression that the government are trying to ram a whole load of draconian legislation through all, and one wonders just what is it making them feel such a sense of urgency?

Also note that it isn't just the UK government that are lining up these deadlines, across Europe - as well as the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia - all sorts of dystopian legislation is being drawn up. Meanwhile, over in Russia, the government just killed an attempt by some officials to pass digital IDs into law.

Is it perhaps related to the manufactured mayhem the West is whipping up in Ukraine? Is it also just because our political class have become so addled and brazen that they don't care that their mask has well and truly fallen? Best of the Web: Bridge in Pittsburgh collapses hours before Biden's scheduled speech several miles away on 're-building American infrastructure'

Comment: If this isn't symbolic of the US' imminent collapse, we don't know what is!

President Joe Biden made an unscheduled visit to the site of a bridge collapse in Pittsburgh on Friday afternoon, during a trip in which Biden planned to promote his legislative agenda — including the landmark infrastructure law he signed last year.

Pittsburgh Public Safety confirmed the collapse on Twitter before 7 a.m. ET, urging people to avoid the area around Forbes and Braddock avenues near Frick Park.

Three people have been hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries, while authorities have been deployed to "ensure there are no victims under the collapsed bridge," the city tweeted in an update later Friday morning. Ten people have been checked or treated for minor injuries, including first responders, the city said in a press release.

The site of the collapse is just a few miles from Carnegie Mellon University at Mill 19, where Biden was set to deliver remarks around 2 p.m.
