A group is suing Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum and Tulsa Health Department Executive Director Bruce Dart, saying the city's mask mandate is harmful to healthy people.

Optometrist Robert Zoellner, Clay Clark, Dr. James Meehan, MD, and other Tulsa-based business owners are asking the city to immediately repeal the mask mandate which was passed by city council last month.

The group alleges wearing masks is causing healthy people to become sick while trying to prevent the spread of a disease that is not a deadly threat to children and much of the public.

"On the OSHA website it states that employers shouldn't make employees work in an environment where they have less than a 19.5 percent oxygen level," said Clayton Clark, one of the plaintiffs. "And the mandated masks cause employees to dip below a 19.5 percent oxygen level within 10 seconds of wearing a mask, so I don't want to make my healthy employees sick."

Israel tightens second lockdown amid soaring 'casedemic'

israel Covid lockdown
Prayers during the ongoing Jewish High Holidays, as well as political demonstrations, would be limited to open spaces and no more than 20 people, and participants would have to remain within the restricted distance from home.
Israel on Thursday moved to further tighten its second countrywide lockdown as coronavirus cases continued to soar, ordering all nonessential businesses to close and requiring people to stay within 1,000 meters (yards) of their homes.

Prayers during the ongoing Jewish High Holidays, as well as political demonstrations, would be limited to open spaces and no more than 20 people, and participants would have to remain within the restricted distance from home.

The measures are set to go into force on Friday afternoon, as the country shuts down for the weekly Sabbath ahead of the solemn holy day of Yom Kippur on Sunday and Monday. Even during normal times, Israel completely shuts down for Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, with businesses and airports closed, roads empty, and even radio and television stations going silent.

In a televised address Thursday night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged the pain caused by the closure, but said the holiday season, when many businesses slow down in any case, was the best time to take action.

UK Law Commission may designate misogyny as a hate crime

misogyny hate crime UK, domestic abuse
Misogyny could become a criminal offence in England and Wales to protect women, according to a report from the Law Commission.

The independent body, which is responsible for reviewing laws, will look at whether those abusing women because of their gender should have tougher sentences.

Currently, the groups and characteristics protected by law include race, religion, sexual orientation, disability and transgender identity.

The Law Commission is calling for evidence from victims of hate crimes, police officers, prosecutors and civil liberties groups which will be assessed to help establish how misogyny hate crimes could work in practice.

Comment: The snowflake tyrants will have a field day with this one - we can expect such a law to initiate another wave of male bashing.

For ten days now, the number of Covid-19 cases in Russia has been on the rise. While many have expressed concern at the trend, fearing the kind of 'second wave' affecting other parts of Europe, officials appear to be calm.

For instance, Tatiana Ruzhentsova, head of the clinical department of at the national sanitary watchdog's Research Institute of Epidemiology, says she's unconcerned.

"We see no dramatic surge, but the incidence rate is showing upwards tendencies. I would like to stress once again that it was an expected situation because all those who have symptoms of respiratory infections are tested," she outlined, earlier in this week. "And it's only natural that we see this growth. Probably, it may mean a second wave, if we want to call it this way, but we don't expect any dramatic surges or a serious worsening of the situation."

Comment: Meanwhile Western governments are seizing the opportunity to further hystericize the population and pass insidious laws that not only remove freedoms but empower the ponerized authorities:

"Through these acts, these individuals have shown minimal regard to their communities and for the safety of others and themselves."

Hundreds of people were arrested in 29 states and are accused of federal crimes ranging from attempted murder, assault on a law enforcement officer, damaging federal property and arson, the Department of Justice said.

CNN 'pundit' spins heads by unleashing RACIST slur against Kentucky AG over Breonna Taylor verdict, DELETES tweets after backlash

Author and liberal journalist Sophia A. Nelson has set off a firestorm of accusations after calling black Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron multiple slurs, which she says she's allowed to say because she's mixed race.

"Uncle Tom. Step & fetch, Negro. The end," Nelson tweeted in reaction to Cameron's announcement that a former cop involved in the shooting of Breonna Taylor would not be facing murder charges, but rather three counts of "wanton endangerment." It's a decision that has set off violent protests in Louisville, Kentucky and several other major cities.

Nelson, a frequent guest on CNN and writer for the Daily Beast, doubled down on the tweet on Thursday by reposting it to her followers.

Woman arrested, tased for not wearing mask at middle school football game

woman tased for not wearing a mask
A woman at a grade-school football game in Ohio on Wednesday was reportedly tased and arrested by a police officer for not wearing a face mask in the stands.

The woman was sitting in the bleachers with her mother when she got into an altercation with the cop about mask-wearing at a middle school in the town of Logan, the Marietta Times reported.

Video of the incident, which was posted to YouTube, shows the woman resisting as the officer struggles to handcuff her for nearly two minutes before he deploys his Taser.

Comment: So she deserved to be tased and arrested? As disgusting as this is, we should get used to the idea that we're going to be seeing a lot more of this. And it's not just the US - here's one from Spain, where an officer is seen kneeling on the neck of a 14-year-old boy for wearing his mask the wrong way:

Meanwhile in England, a London Overground passenger was forcibly removed from the train after arguing with transport police officers over a face mask. Apparently not wearing a mask is now such an egregious crime that it will be met with police violence. You've been warned.

Hail Satan? Liberal mom tells how Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death drove her to SATANISM - only to be DISAVOWED by the Church of Satan

It may sound like satire, but everyone from HuffPost to Twitter seems to be taking very seriously a liberal mom's essay about how she turned to Satanism in response to the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Jamie Smith - who describes herself as a 40-something "attorney and mother who cares about civil rights" - wrote for HuffPost Personal that last week's death of the 87-year-old liberal judge drove her to join the Satanic Temple, not out of grief but out of fear.

Moderna, Pfizer & AstraZeneca seek urgent approval for their shots, just what Sputnik V was attacked for - don't expect a backlash

Competitors in the Covid-19 vaccine race are publishing clinical protocols in hopes of securing lucrative emergency approval, which Russia's Sputnik V was previously attacked for seeking. This time, however, the media are quiet.

The frontrunners in the US and western Europe's quest to develop a coronavirus vaccine - Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Moderna - have published their trial protocols in response to growing public unease over the rapid rollout of the promised coronavirus magic bullet. They reveal an overwhelming emphasis on being first to secure emergency approval from the relevant regulators, suggesting the companies' goal is maximum profits rather than ensuring the physical health of the hundreds of millions of people who will be expected to line up for vaccination.

Russia's Sputnik V vaccine was excoriated in western media for seeking just such an emergency approval months ago. Ironically, the same publications that have denounced so-called "anti-vaxxers" as "the enemy" and called for locking them up as a public health threat flirted with similar rhetoric to cast doubt on the safety of the Russian shot.

YouTube is about to age-restrict way more videos

youtube video
© Illustration by Alex Castro / The Verge
YouTube is rolling out more artificial intelligence-powered technology to catch more videos that may require age restrictions, meaning more viewers will be asked to sign into their accounts to verify their age before watching.

Similar to how YouTube used machine learning techniques to try to better catch violent extremism and more of the platform's most severe content in 2018, and then in 2019 to find videos that included hateful conduct, the same approach will be used in this case to automatically flag videos YouTube deems not age-appropriate. As a result, YouTube is expecting to see far more videos pop up with age-gated restrictions.

The company is preparing for there to be some mistakes in labeling, as is the case with any rollout of AI moderation tech. And as part of the changes, people watching YouTube videos embedded on third-party sites will be redirected to YouTube to sign in and verify their age.

Comment: This seems like just another means of soft censorship for YouTube. Videos dealing with content deemed 'mature' will likely include anything political, and there are some concerns that age restricted videos won't be able to be embedded on outside websites. Similarly, if not subscribed to a particular channel, you will not be able to see videos on that channel that are age restricted. There is little doubt that the timing of this move has everything to do with the upcoming election. Many YouTube creators, who depend on the platform for revenue, are very nervous about the future.
