Pelosi keeps dodging reporter's pointed COVID relief bill questions, and he finally calls her out

As we reported earlier this month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said the quiet part out loud during her December 4th press conference about her newfound willingness to cut a deal on a smaller COVID relief package with Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

She snapped at reporters who asked about it at the time, stating that the impending availability of the vaccines as well as the media declaring Joe Biden the winner were "a total game-changer."

"It's what we had on our bills. It's for a shorter period of time but that's OK now because we have a new president," Pelosi remarked. "A president that recognizes that we need to depend on science to stop the virus."

Two people caught up in 'Russiagate' investigations, three former members of Congress, and four Blackwater mercenaries convicted of killing Iraqi civilians have received pardons or commutations from US President Donald Trump.

Trump announced he would pardon 15 people and commute the sentences of five more on Tuesday evening, ahead of the Christmas holidays - the traditional time for presidential clemency in the US.

Among the full pardons are Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos and Dutch lawyer Alex Van Der Zwaan, both jailed for allegedly lying to the FBI by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's prosecutors in the probe of Trump's alleged ties to Russia, which found no evidence.

Comment: This is nice and all, but if Trump really wanted to ensure his legacy and stick it to the Deep State, he would pardon Assange and Snowden.

Trump said he spoke with Sen.-elect Tuberville, who has weighed a challenge to electoral votes

President Donald Trump has spoken to Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), after Tuberville said he was mulling whether to join representatives next month in filing a challenge to electoral votes.

"I spoke to a great gentlemen Tommy Tuberville last night, and he was so excited. He said, 'You made me the most popular politician in the United States.' He said, 'I can't believe it.' He's great. Great senator," Trump said on WABC radio.

Tuberville, who unseated Sen. Doug Jones (D-Ala.), suggested earlier this month that he would challenge electoral votes when a joint session of Congress meets on Jan. 6, 2021, to count them.

A challenge must have the backing of at least one member of the House and one senator to trigger a debate and votes by each chamber.

Tuberville told an Alabama outlet on Thursday after the video emerged that he's "doing my due diligence" through the Christmas holiday.

Brexit talks to drag on well into 2021 as yet another 'final offer' is in the making

Earlier in the day, The Times reported that as the sides were discussing fisheries, the UK's starting offer on the fish value quotas was 40 percent whereas EU negotiator Michel Barnier demanded 75 percent.

The European Union is ready to continue talks with Britain after the year ends, Reuters reported, citing two diplomatic sources.

"The EU will not close its door to the UK and remains ready to negotiate beyond the 1st of January," one of the sources said, according to the agency.

There are thousands of Covid strains, so this new scare is NOT a big deal, but politicians just love their new authoritarianism

The UK's virus mutation is nothing but recycled alarmism, with no substance to justify the cancellation of Christmas and plunging us all into yet more misery. It's unscientific, unjustifiable and unforgivable.

Let me set the scene. The world (we are told) is in the grip of a deadly plague. Health services (we are told) are on the brink of collapse. And just when you think things cannot get any worse, the horrific news comes down from on high that our invisible enemy has mutated into an even scarier form. Although it is too early to know anything of substance about it, it is entirely possible that it is more contagious, or more dangerous, or - who knows - maybe both.

Was that the situation at the weekend as the UK was plunged into what's rapidly become its worst crisis since World War II (and certainly the worst self-induced one), just ahead of Christmas?

SOTT Focus: Estimating the True Magnitude of the Pandemic and Lockdown Deaths

sweden no lockdown covid coronavirus
Sweden took a 'free will' approach to covid safety
The tiny country of Sweden, with a population less than half of New Delhi, is turning out to be the most important benchmark in 2020 to help us understand the true magnitude of the coronavirus pandemic and the magnitude of deaths caused by lockdowns.

Although many policy makers across the world refuse to admit it, lockdowns kill. Professors Martin Kulldorff, Sunetra Gupta and Jay Bhattacharya summarized this in the Newsweek on 30 October 2020, that "Lockdown strategies have led to many avoidable deaths among those at high risk from COVID-19 infections, while creating enormous collateral non-COVID health damage on everyone else".

That lockdowns kill more people than COVID was also acknowledged in a 15 July 2020 report by the UK Department of Health and Social Care, Office for National Statistics, Government Actuary's Department and Home Office which noted that "when morbidity is taken into account, the estimates for the health impacts from a lockdown and lockdown induced recession are greater in terms of QALYs than the direct COVID-19 deaths".

Russia's sporting ban is being dictated by geopolitics, not justice

russia flag 2012 olympics

Even though it's been reduced to two years from four, the decision to uphold Russia's ban from major sporting events, imposed by WADA, is wrong; it is more about promoting geopolitical agendas than sporting fairness.

There's a great expression in English: 'It's just not cricket'. It originated from the days when there was a code of decency in British public life. When anyone cheated, or acted like a bounder in sports, business, or in public life in general, the cry would go out, 'It's just not cricket!'. The sport of cricket was seen as a metaphor for fair play. If you did get an inside edge and it carried through to the wicket-keeper, you walked. Even if the umpire didn't raise his finger. If the ball touched the ground before you caught it, you acknowledged the fact.

Politics, too, was run according to this code. It persisted into the 1980s. When Britain lost the Falklands in 1982, the foreign secretary, Lord Peter Carrington, did the honourable thing and resigned.

The SolarWinds 'Russian hack' story proves the media writes US foreign policy, not the White House

solarwinds sign election fraud software
© ReutersA SolarWinds sign is seen outside its headquarters in Austin, Texas, U.S.
As incoming nominees of a future Biden administration have stopped short in naming a culprit in the SolarWinds hack, the media - playing judge, jury and executioner - has levelled blame on the usual suspect.

Did anyone actually believe that Russia would escape a major US election season without a ceremonial tarring and feathering by the media? It's almost as though frantic journalists, unable to sell the 'Trump Beats Biden with Kremlin Collusion' narrative, have dreamt up this latest work of pulp fiction to keep the ball of 'Russian villainy' bouncing into the next US administration. Heaven forbid if the media just sat by and let protracted peace break out between Washington and Moscow.

So when SolarWinds - a software platform that counts among its clients the Pentagon, State Department, Justice Department, and the National Security Agency - suffered an alleged hack, the Washington Post jumped on the evil Russia connection faster than Ian Fleming.

Unhinged TDS: Nancy Pelosi ready to pull Trump out of the White House 'by his hair'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi voiced her frustration with President Donald Trump during meetings with her leadership team over the weekend.

"I'm counting down the hours 'til he's gone. I plan to pull him out of there by his hair, his little hands, and his feet," Pelosi said, according to a Politico story published Tuesday.

Pelosi made her remarks as Democrats and Republicans negotiated a massive 5,593 $2.3 trillion coronavirus relief and government funding bill over the weekend.

Comment: So much for the 'dignity of the office' that Nan's been needling Trump over, for years. Someone needs to lock Pelosi's liquor cabinet and pocket the key.

Catherine Austin Fitts: Financial reset, vaccine as software and the war against populism

Catherine Austin Fitts
Investment advisor and former Assistant Secretary of Housing Catherine Austin Fitts says the so-called "reset" is here, and this means the old system has to be destroyed. The number one goal of reset architects is destroying Jesus and all of his Christian believers. Fitts explains,
"You hold up the dollar and what does it say? 'In God We Trust.' So, a liquid currency with the breadth of the dollar depends on faith and faith in a divine intelligence. You know, that there is something bigger. What do our founding documents say? They say our freedom comes to us from divine authority. Right? So, to destroy that system, you have to destroy those things. When you look at the Covid 19 lockdowns, the number one target has been the churches. They have been trying to bankrupt and destroy the churches. . . . It is clear that there is a war on the churches. . . .
You could say this is a war on God and a battle between good and evil. Fitts says,
"The question is: are we going to be hyper-materialistic governed by a demonic spirit? Or, are we going to be sovereign individuals governed by a divine intelligence? Those are the two visions."
