SOTT Focus: Objective:Health - Vaccination Nation - Ramping Up The Hysteria

vaccine spiral
Earlier this year, on Jan. 16, 2019 the World Health Organization issued a report ranking "vaccine hesitancy" as one of the top "Ten Threats to Global Health in 2019". This alongside air pollution and climate change; noncommunicable diseases; global influenza pandemic; antimicrobial resistance; and infectious diseases such as ebola, dengue fever and HIV. Far from being an accurate assessment of health threats, this statement was put out to cause hysteria, both from the pro and anti-vaxxers, no doubt.

So with vaccines once again dominating the news cycle, we decided it would be good to dive into the subject and counter the ridiculous propaganda the media is putting out about the ominous anti-vaxxer threat and establish an objective perspective on vaccines.

Nuclear medicine fallout: Cremated man's ash spread radioactivity in local area - study

In 2017 a 69-year-old man living with pancreatic cancer was treated with nuclear medicine to shrink his tumor, but sadly died three days later and was cremated. New research suggests his remains may have spread radioactivity.

The man was treated by radioactive injection, and the dose of lutetium Lu 177 dotatate was still in his body when he was cremated, as staff at the hospital where he was treated were unaware of how badly his condition had deteriorated before it was too late.

While the administration of these drugs is tightly controlled and monitored, what happens after the treatment - especially when patients eventually die - is an entirely different story, as showcased in this particular case study by the Mayo Clinic. More than half of deceased Americans are cremated at present.

"Radiopharmaceuticals present a unique and often overlooked postmortem safety challenge," Mayo Clinic researchers explain. "Cremating an exposed patient volatilises the radiopharmaceutical, which can then be inhaled by workers (or released into the adjacent community) and result in greater exposure than from a living patient."

As more lawsuits claiming a link between Roundup and cancer move forward, a new report claims the main ingredient found in the weed killer is showing up in organic beer and wine.

U.S. PIRG tested samples of popular beer and wine brands and found the chemical, called glyphosate, in 19 out of 20 brands. Glyphosate is the main ingredient in Roundup, produced by agrochemical giant Monsanto. Sutter Home Merlot had the highest level of the weed killer of all 20 brands, at 51 parts per billion (ppb). Beringer Estates Moscato and Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon had slightly smaller quantities of the chemical.

Tsingtao beer contained 49 parts per billion of the chemical. Corona, Miller Lite and Budweiser had between 25 and 30 ppb of the substance; Guinness and Heineken contained about 20 ppb. Beverages from Stella Artois and Sam Adams had trace amounts of the weed killer.

These levels are far below those that could potentially cause harm in humans, but suggest a troubling prevalence of the weed killer in nature, Kara Cook-Schultz, U.S. PIRG's toxics program director, told CBS News.

Daycare staffer's rare, potentially deadly infection prompts request that parents keep non-vaccinated children at home

Acute epiglottitis
© Public domainAcute epiglottitis; Lateral view in X-ray imaging. The lateral soft-tissue radiograph reveals the "thumb sign" that indicates a swollen epiglottis.
A Nebraska daycare facility is asking parents of non-immunized children to keep their kids at home after one of its employees was hospitalized with a rare, and potentially life-threatening, airborne bacteria.

Bright Beginnings daycare sent a letter home to parents on Wednesday urging parents to take precautions after the staff member contracted epiglottitis, Omaha's WOWT-TV reported.

According to the Mayo Clinic, epiglottitis is a rare and potentially life-threatening infection that causes the epiglottis to swell and block the flow of air to the windpipe. It is most commonly caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and can be spread by a cough or sneeze.

Comment: The person who contracted the disease was vaccinated against the disease, but all unvaccinated children should stay home because they're at greater risk. Makes sense.

Judge in Roundup maker's first federal trial had banned discussion of the company's alleged manipulation of science.

Monsanto is facing its first federal trial over allegations that its Roundup weedkiller causes cancer, but a US judge has blocked attorneys from discussing the corporation's alleged manipulation of science.

In an extraordinary move in a packed San Francisco courtroom on Monday, US judge Vince Chhabria threatened to sanction and "shut down" a cancer patient's attorney for violating his ban on talking about Monsanto's influence on government regulators and cancer research.

"You've completely disregarded the limitations that were set upon you," the visibly angry judge said to attorney Aimee Wagstaff, threatening to prevent her from continuing. "If you cross the line one more time ... your opening statement will be over ... If I see a single inappropriate thing on those slides, I'm shutting you down."

States move to mandate deadly HPV Gardasil vaccine for children

Gardasil fraud merck
Pharmaceutical giant Merck's political influence is now reaching beyond the CDC and federal government, and moving into state legislatures as several states have introduced bills to mandate Merck's Gardasil HPV vaccine for children.

The HPV vaccine, which only applies to sexually active people, is not currently part of the CDC vaccine schedule, therefore separate legislation is needed to compel children to receive it.

What is withheld from the public is the fact that Merck is fighting fraud cases in U.S. courts and multiple other lawsuits around the world concerning the Gardasil vaccine, as the vaccine continues to kill and injure, primarily teenage girls. See: Nation's Leading Lawyers take on Gardasil Vaccine Fraud in U.S. Court

Comment: As the numbers of people injured from the Gardasil vaccine continue to rise, nothing is being done to keep the corrupt vaccine-pushers in check. A cold analysis of the facts would lead any sensible person to refuse the Gardasil vaccine.

Bayer Monsanto faces a second trial over Roundup causing cancer

Roundup 2.0

Bayer AG on Monday faced a second U.S. jury over allegations that its popular glyphosate-based weed killer Roundup causes cancer, six months after the company's share price was rocked by a $289 million verdict in California state court.

The lawsuit by California resident Edwin Hardeman against the company began on Monday morning in federal rather than state court. The trial is also a test case for a larger litigation. More than 760 of the 9,300 Roundup cases nationwide are consolidated in the federal court in San Francisco that is hearing Hardeman's case.

Bayer denies all allegations that Roundup or glyphosate cause cancer, specifically non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, saying decades of independent studies have shown the world's most widely used weed killer to be safe for human use and noting that regulators around the world have approved the product.

During the first phase in the trial, the nine-person jury is asked to weigh scientific evidence to determine whether Roundup caused Hardeman's lymphoma.

Aimee Wagstaff, a lawyer for Hardeman, told a packed courtroom during her opening statement on Monday that chemicals in Roundup made the weed killer more toxic than glyphosate alone, causing the man's cancer.

Comment: As glyphosate is everywhere Bayer will find itself in court for years to come. The following will do nothing to help Bayer's case. Should we expect lawsuits not just from individuals but other businesses as well?
Many beers and wines sold in the U.S. contain the weed killer glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, according to a new report by U.S. PIRG Education Fund. In Glyphosate pesticide in beer and wine, U.S. PIRG tested 20 beers, wines and hard cider, including several organic brands, for glyphosate/Roundup and found that all but one contained the harmful chemical.

This revelation comes on the same day a San Francisco court begins hearing arguments in the first federal civil case over whether Monsanto's Roundup weed killer causes cancer.

"When you're having a beer or a glass of wine, the last thing you want to think about is that it includes a potentially dangerous pesticide," said U.S. PIRG Education Fund's Kara Cook-Schultz, who authored the study. "No matter the efforts of brewers and vintners, we found that it is incredibly difficult to avoid the troubling reality that consumers will likely drink glyphosate at every happy hour and backyard barbeque around the country."

U.S. PIRG tested five wines, 14 beers and one hard cider for the study. The wine brands were Barefoot, Beringer, Frey (organic), Inkarri Estates (organic), and Sutter Home. The beers examined were from Budweiser, Coors, Corona, Guiness, Heineken, Miller, Peak (organic), Sam Adams, Samuel Smith (organic), Sierra Nevada, Stella Artois, Tsingtao and New Belgium. Ace Perry Hard Cider was also tested. The study results confirm past results of several other groups, including Moms Across America.

Of particular note, the study found that, despite weed killer products like Roundup being prohibited in the making of organic beers and wines, glyphosate was discovered in three of the four organic alcoholic beverages tested.

The Brewers Association, which represents more than 4,900 small and independent craft brewers, said in a statement: "Brewers do not want glyphosate used on barley or any raw brewing material, and the barley grower organizations have also come out strongly against glyphosate."

The amount of glyphosate discovered in the samples ranged as high as 51 parts per billion (ppb) in Sutter Home wine and more than 25 ppb in non-organic beers from Budweiser, Coors, Corona, Miller and Tsingtao. The organic drinks were found to have totals as high as 5.2 ppb. While these numbers are below the EPA's risk tolerances for beverages, at least one previous scientific study found that as little as one part per trillion of glyphosate can stimulate the growth of breast cancer cells and disrupt the endocrine system.

"Craft brewers pride ourselves on producing the highest quality products for our patrons, and that necessitates the use of the highest quality, safest ingredients," said Elan Walsky, who is co-owner of Coalition Brewing in Portland, Oregon. "Maintaining this high standard of excellence is not only important for our beer and our health, but also for the local community from the farmers who grow our hops and barley, all the way down to the people enjoying our beer."

With the findings indicating glyphosate contamination is common in over-the-counter beers and wine, the report recommends that, unless it can be proved otherwise, the pesticide should be banned in the U.S. due to its many potential health risks and ubiquitous presence in food, water and alcohol.

"With a federal court looking at the connection between Roundup and cancer today, we believe this is the perfect time to shine a spotlight on glyphosate," Cook-Schultz said. "This chemical could prove a true risk to so many Americans' health, and they should know that it is everywhere -- including in many of their favorite drinks."

Autism diagnoses in Northern Ireland children up by more than 100% in 5 years

autism
© SPLImage caption Almost three times as many boys as girls have been given an autism diagnosis in five years.
The number of children being diagnosed with autism in Northern Ireland has more than doubled in five years.

Some health trusts have seen a three-fold increase and there are also 2,500 under-18s still waiting to be assessed.

Healthcare professionals and autism charities have pointed to increased awareness as a reason for the jump.

Kerry Boyd, the head of Autism NI, said her organisation is "inundated" with requests for support.

Comment: Changes in diagnostic criteria is seemingly a fail-safe way for officials to ignore rising disease rates. As long as their writing off these increases as simply 'playing with the numbers', rather than an actual meteoric rise that needs to be addressed, they will be wholly unprepared for the tidal wave of autistic spectrum disorders on the horizon.

Arizona lawmakers pass vaccine parental rights bills in face of criticism

Rep. Nancy Barto
© Gage Skidmore“Vaccines have a place, but it’s every parent’s individual right to decide the vaccine’s place in the child’s life,” Rep. Nancy Barto, the bills’ sponsor, says.
The Arizona The House Health and Human Services Committee approved three contentious vaccine-related House Bills. Each of the bills loosens government authority over parental immunization matters. Critics believe the measures may lower vaccination density in the state. Republicans and Democrats split the vote, with Republicans mostly siding with approval.

The first measure of importance, House Bill 2470, allows parents to opt their children out of vaccines without having to sign a state health department form. Committee chairwoman Rep. Nancy Barto, R-Phoenix, who supports and sponsors all three bills, says this measure is about protecting parents from government coercion.

Comment: This is a huge win for freedom in the US. In the face of growing calls for mandatory vaccination, to put forward a law that not only allows parents to make their own health decisions for their children, but forces doctors to offer a test to see if they even need the vaccine, and give parents information about vaccine ingredients, is massive. It's nice to see Arizona believes their citizens are capable of making their own informed decisions.

Canada: Calgary councillor calls for study, as dropping water fluoridation sees increase in children's tooth decay

One city councillor is hoping for open minds from her colleagues as she brings forth a notice of motion requesting approval for a study on water fluoridation.

Coun. Diane Colley-Urquhart will bring forth at Monday's council meeting the same notice of motion she did in 2016, requesting a study be conducted by the University of Calgary's O'Brien Institute for Public Health examining fluoridation in water.

"I voted in 2011 to take fluoride out . . . It had been in (water) for a while and there was really no evidence at that time to say, 'well, is it going to cause harm by taking it out?' " she said.

Comment: If we look as fluoride as a medication that helps prevent tooth decay (which it essentially is, although its effectiveness is debatable), then the question really is: Is the treatment worth the side effects? Considering that dietary factors trump all others when it comes to tooth decay, the answer seems clear - if people fix their diets, they won't need to be publicly medicated. And while some make the choice to eat for their health, and the health of their teeth, they don't have the choice to avoid the mass medication of the whole city. If cities want to medicate the population for tooth protection, let them do it on an individual basis. Mass-medication without consent is simply totalitarianism.
