Pro-Trump US Capitol protester on why he sought asylum in Belarus

A supporter of former American president Donald Trump, wanted by US prosecutors on claims he was among a crowd of rioters who stormed the US Capitol building earlier this year, has told RT how he came to claim asylum in Belarus.

In an interview set to be published on Saturday, Evan Neumann recounted how he feared he would be extradited from neighboring Ukraine as part of a deal with the White House, ahead of a meeting between President Joe Biden and his counterpart in Kiev, Volodymyr Zelensky. For that reason, the Californian says, he decided to try to reach Belarus on foot.

Comment: Neuman didn't want to get swept up in the aftermath of the 'Reichstag fire' operation that was executed on Jan 6. Subsequent events have proven him right. .

Post Rittenhouse acquittal, support builds for defamation fund: 'Sue the CRAP out of corporate media'

Prominent conservatives are calling for Kyle Rittenhouse, cleared of murder charges on Friday, to sue corporate media outlets and others for defamation.

A jury cleared Rittenhouse of charges of intentional homicide, reckless homicide, attempted intentional homicide, and two counts of reckless endangerment after a roughly two week trial and four days of jury deliberation. In the aftermath of the verdict, some supporters of the teen are pledging to donate to a fund so he could take legal action against outlets and prominent figures that called him a white supremacist and other labels without evidence.

"What happened to him in this mob justice is grotesque. Absolutely grotesque," conservative radio host and Blaze Media CEO Glenn Beck said in a video posted to Twitter. Beck said that the media portrayal of Rittenhouse since the teen killed two men and wounded a third in self defense last year has had an irreversible negative impact on his future.

Comment: President Houseplant weighs in:
"Well look, I stand by what the jury has concluded. The jury system works, and we have to abide by it," Biden told reporters.
What else could he say without openly throwing the Constitution under the bus? They're not ready to do that just yet.
"While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken," Biden stated in a press release. "I ran on a promise to bring Americans together, because I believe that what unites us is far greater than what divides us."

"I know that we're not going to heal our country's wounds overnight, but I remain steadfast in my commitment to do everything in my power to ensure that every American is treated equally, with fairness and dignity, under the law," he added.

"I urge everyone to express their views peacefully, consistent with the rule of law. Violence and destruction of property have no place in our democracy. The White House and Federal authorities have been in contact with Governor Evers's office to prepare for any outcome in this case, and I have spoken with the Governor this afternoon and offered support and any assistance needed to ensure public safety."

Biden's comments come more than a year after he suggested that Rittenhouse was a "white supremacist" in an interview with CNN as well as in a campaign advertisement, a statement he has not corrected or apologized for.

Football's premiere grifter Colin Kaepernick demanded air time too:
Just after the verdict, Kaepernick went on a tear, tweeting, "We just witnessed a system built on white supremacy validate the terroristic acts of a white supremacist."

Kaepernick added, "This only further validates the need to abolish our current system. White supremacy cannot be reformed."

No evidence was presented during the trial to show that Rittenhouse was a member of any so-called "white supremacist" groups.
Comment: Kyle's phone as unlocked and searched. It only showed posts about 'back the blue', the different fire and EMT courses he was taking and other activities for a normal seventeen year-old. Hardly the material of a hard-core supremacist. It should also be noted that the State also had a subpoena to search Gaige Grosskreutz's phone, but did not execute it. Wonder why, and what they would have found?
Kaepernick was far from the only leftists to go on the attack. His biopic partner, Hollywood director Ava DuVernay, also tweeted about the Rittenhouse verdict, posting that the "not guilty" verdict now justifies gunning people down.

DuVernay tweeted: "John Huber and Karen Bloom, parents of murderer #KyleRittenhouse's victim Anthony Huber: the verdict 'sends the unacceptable message that armed civilians can show up in any town, incite violence, and then use the danger they have created to justify shooting people in the street.'"

DuVernay did not bother to tell her fans that Anthony Huber, one of the men shot by Rittenhouse during the riot, physically attacked the 17-year-old Rittenhouse by hitting him with a skateboard and briefly tried to wrestle away the teen's rifle before Rittenhouse was able to break free and shoot his attacker.

Self-defense experts determined that Rittenhouse's actions were "reasonable," considering that each time he fired, it was in response to a direct threat of physical harm.

Protesters block road in Netherlands over Covid controls

Vaccine mandate protest
Demonstrators take part in a protest against a partial coronavirus lockdown and against the Dutch government policy on Coolsingel street on November 19, 2021, in the port city of Rotterdam.
Truckers and other motorists have been trapped in a four-mile-long traffic jam on the outskirts of the Dutch city of Rotterdam amid a protest against the government's Covid measures.

According to local media, as many as 200 activists blocked the gates of a major port in the city's harbor on Thursday. For several hours, they prevented any vehicles from driving in and out of the cargo hub, which, in turn, led to massive traffic congestion on the highway leading to the port. Police engaged in negotiations with the protesters, who eventually relented and left the site later in the evening.

The group behind the protest action is reportedly Dockers United, who are staunchly opposed to government Covid policies. The organization's biggest concern is that authorities could soon make it mandatory for employees to have a vaccination or recovery certificate to enter the workplace, which, as the group argues, would be tantamount to excluding people from society on an "unconstitutional basis." They are also generally unhappy with the curbs introduced by the Dutch government, with 'Don't normalize what's not normal' being a translation of one of their slogans.

Gas rationed, travel restricted in parts of B.C. after storm washes out highways

gas station fuel shortage

The British Columbia government is rationing gasoline and restricting travel in southern parts of the province after an unprecedented storm severed highways and cut supply lines.

Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth said Friday a limit of 30 litres of fuel per visit to a gas station is an important step to maintaining the supply as the province works to bring in more gas by truck and barge from Alberta, Washington state, Oregon and California.

He said the order would apply for 10 to 11 days, and he trusts that people won't be greedy and will keep critical services in mind as they focus on residents whose communities have been devastated by flooding.

Seven people injured during clashes in Dutch city over reintroduction of partial lockdown and plans for more restrictions.

Police have opened fire on protesters and seven people were injured after rioting erupted during a demonstration against Covid-19 restrictions in central Rotterdam, in what the city's mayor described as an "orgy of violence".

Ahmed Aboutaleb told reporters in the early hours of Saturday morning that "on a number of occasions the police felt it necessary to draw their weapons to defend themselves" as rioters rampaged through the shopping district, starting fires and throwing stones and fireworks at officers.

Democrats, pundits declare Rittenhouse verdict 'miscarriage of justice'

kyle rittenhouse

After the jury in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial returned a verdict of "not guilty," Democratic politicians and pundits reacted in outrage, alleging that the U.S. justice system is hopelessly compromised by racial bias.

Nikole Hannah Jones, the mastermind behind the New York Times' "1619" project, which was designed to inculcate in students a revisionist American history teaching that slavery is intrinsic to the country's national fabric, said that the dismissal of Rittenhouse's charges proves that systemic racism is alive and well in the U.S.

"In this country, you can even kill white people and get away with it if those white people are fighting for Black lives. This is the legacy of 1619," she tweeted.

Comment: It's very clear that those making the comments above are either ill-informed on the details of the case (being generous) or are ideologically possessed (more likely), and have simply continued to parrot the mainstream narrative about 'white supremacy'. Rittenhouse was very clearly acting in self-defense and there is zero evidence of any racial motivation in his actions.

Manhattan school to sort kids by race during social justice discussions

A Manhattan junior high school plans to racially separate students while discussing identity and social justice topics next week, The Post has learned.

The Lower Manhattan Community School will conduct the controversial exercises as part of its mission to "undo the legacy of racism and oppression in this country that impacts our school community," according to an email sent to parents.

Comment: Undo the legacy of racism... by being racist. That should work.

Kids in grades seven and eight will opt into one of five categories, Principal Shanna Douglas wrote in the message.

Portland Rittenhouse protest declared riot; windows smashed, objects thrown at police

portland rittenhouse riot
Police in Portland, Oregon, declared a riot in the downtown area Friday night after a protest following the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict became violent and destructive near the Multnomah County Justice Center, authorities said.

Rioters were throwing objects at officers, smashing windows and damaging doors of city facilities, including the justice center's front gate, FOX 12 of Oregon reported.

"Due to violent, destructive behavior by a significant part of the crowd, the gathering in downtown Portland is a RIOT. All participants are instructed to proceed away to the WEST," the Portland Police Bureau wrote on Twitter.

Comment: This was entirely predictable. Given that the mainstream press refused to accurately report on the circumstances of the trial, continuing to push the narrative of a racist teen deliberately killing 'innocent' protesters (protesters who were actually rioters; and who were actually convicted criminals, one being a serial child rapist), how could we expect anything less than riots when actual justice was carried out?

Kremlin bans audience at state Christmas performance to prevent 'spread of Covid-19, especially among minors'

russia christmas tree
© RIA / Vitaly BelousovFILE PHOTO.
Moscow's traditional winter holiday festivities, held under the boughs of a giant Christmas tree, have been axed for a second straight year as Russia grapples with high rates of coronavirus transmission, the Kremlin has confirmed.

Announcing the cancellation on Thursday, Elena Krylova said that "unfortunately, due to the difficult epidemiological situation and in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, especially among minors, it was decided that the traditional children's New Year's performance at the State Kremlin Palace will not go ahead."

The New Year's spectacle will be aired at the end of December on TV without an audience and will also be available online, Krylova promised. The two-week long non-working period is Russia's main national holiday, having replaced Christmas as a non-religious celebration in the Soviet era.

Comment: Since it's well known that the coronavirus poses next to no threat to children (as well as the vast majority of adults) this is a rather odd decision. Although it's notable that, whilst Russia seems to have gone along with the establishment's pandemic narrative, it has yet to enforce vaccine mandates, it does not use the highly experimental, and risky, mRNA 'technology', and current estimates show that just 36.3% of the population have received one jab: Putin: Mandatory vaccination shouldn't be forced on anyone, people should just be encouraged to get jab instead
