Twitter suspends account providing Ghislaine Maxwell trial updates

Twitter claimed the account violated rules against 'platform manipulation' and 'spam'.

A Twitter account that closely monitored the trial of former Jeffrey Epstein partner Ghislaine Maxwell was suspended on Wednesday after the tech company claimed the profile was violating rules against "platform manipulation and spam."

The Maxwell Trial Tracker @TrackerTrial account, which has only been active for two weeks, had roughly 525,000 followers at the time of its suspension.

Twitter did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital for comment.

Comment: Despite the fact that the Maxwell tracking account, as well as the Pelosi tracking account, were only providing publicly available information, Twitter saw fit to ban them. There is a clear vested interest in what information gets amplified, even if it's already out there. Here's some of what you're being blocked from seeing on Twitter:

Lockdowns made rich richer, poor poorer - study

The share of wealth owned by the world's super-rich soared during the coronavirus pandemic, while 100 million people sank into extreme poverty, a major study has found.

According to the World Inequality Report, released on Tuesday, the top 1% took 38% of all additional wealth accumulated since the mid-1990s, whereas the bottom 50% captured just 2% of it.

It also said that the world's 2,755 billionaires collectively own 3.5% of global household wealth this year, up from slightly above 2% at the start of the pandemic in early 2020.

"The Covid crisis has exacerbated inequalities between the very wealthy and the rest of the population," lead author Lucas Chancel said, adding that rich economies used massive fiscal support to mitigate the sharp rises in poverty seen elsewhere.

Americans ditching their jobs in record numbers

Americans are quitting their jobs in near-record numbers, according to the latest data released by the US Department of Labor, with over four million leaving their places of employment in October.

Approximately 4.2 million people quit their jobs in the month of October, the third highest number on record to do so. The number is down from September's record-setting 4.4 million workers voluntarily walking away from their jobs either with a new job lined up or with confidence they will find replacement employment soon.

Comment: Some claim the enforced time off of lockdowns gave those with unsatisfying employment time to realize that fact, and make plans to find a better position. Others claim the stimulus checks only encouraged laziness. But what seems to be flying under the radar is the number of people taking their fate into their own hands and starting their own businesses.

Interesting how creative many people can be, when given the chance to step off the treadmill.

SEC watchdog kept on job despite 'serious misconduct'

Inspector General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Carl Hoecker was permitted to keep his job even after a 2019 investigation recommended that he be fired for "serious misconduct."

Government documents obtained by Reuters through a public records request showed that instead of firing Hoecker, the SEC decided to place him on an unpaid temporary suspension in May 2020. Hoecker has since returned to work.

The investigation into Hoecker was conducted by the Integrity Committee, which is a federal panel tasked with probing allegations of wrongdoing against inspector generals.

Publisher HarperCollins is pulling a planned book by former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo.

The book, which was originally titled Deep Denial, had been slated for release in fall of 2022 through the William Morrow imprint Custom House.

"Custom House does not intend to publish the Chris Cuomo book," a William Morrow spokesperson said.

According to a description from the publisher, Cuomo's book was set to be "a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America — about our strength and our character — and a roadmap of the work needed to make our ideals match reality."

UK alcohol deaths hit new high, follows record high set during first lockdown

alcohol uk england
© PAThere has been an 18.6% increase in deaths caused by alcohol in the UK.
Deaths caused by alcohol in the UK have hit the highest number ever recorded following a steep year-on-year increase during the pandemic.

There were 8,974 deaths from alcohol-specific causes in the UK in 2020, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Tuesday.

This is an 18.6% increase on 2019, when there were 7,565 deaths caused by alcohol, the highest yearly rise since the data started being published in 2001.

Researchers indicated that changes in the consumption of alcohol during the coronavirus pandemic may have contributed to the increase in deaths, although they cautioned there are "many complex factors" and that "it may be some time before we fully understand all of these".

Comment: There's nothing 'complex' or difficult to understand about how the government's contrived coronavirus crisis, and the accompanying relentless fearmongering and tyrannical lockdowns, ongoing for 20-months and counting, would have caused those already suffering from a problem with alcohol to drink more.

Comment: As the UK government tightens the screws even further, mental health issues of all kinds are soaring, including suicide rates, and it's not just the UK, the same deterioration in society has been documented in nearly every country that enforced lockdowns. A spike in female suicides was even recorded in Japan, one of the few countries that, technically, didn't enforce a lockdown: Also check otu SOTT radio's: NewsReal: NAZI Redux - Covid Camps in Australia, Mandatory Vaccinations in EU

How to open the eyes of anyone who still thinks Covid vaccines are working as promised

Let's say you wind up talking about the vaccine. (I know, what are the odds?)

And let's say the folks you're talking to are not crazy vaccine fanatics who think the only problem with Australia's interment camps is that they don't go far enough. They're reasonable people. Maybe they've even been vaccinated and are not sure about boosters, or what to do about their kids.

They've heard nearly all Covid deaths in Britain are in vaccinated people. But they've also heard about the Centers for Disease Control report that the unvaccinated are at much higher risk. They've heard about the new variant too, of course.

So many numbers. So much science! And despite the last 20 months, they still believe the public health authorities wouldn't exaggerate the threat of Covid or manipulate data to scare them.

They are legitimately confused. And you have about five minutes before halftime is over to help them understand the truth.

What do you do?

City of Los Angeles down 113 firefighters and counting: Placed off-duty without pay for missing vaccine deadline

A total of 113 Los Angeles city firefighters have been removed from duty without pay for failing to meet the city's COVID-19 vaccination mandate for municipal employees, the department announced Monday.

The policy requires municipal employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19 by Dec. 18, and those who are not vaccinated in the meantime must submit to testing paid by the employee.

In November, the department sent 222 notices to department personnel who had not yet submitted their vaccination status or requested an exemption.

Comment: Earlier ABC7 reported the denial of the firefighters lawsuit against the mandate:
A judge denied a request by the Los Angeles city firefighters' union for a preliminary injunction preventing enforcement of a mandate requiring its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 pending resolution of a labor issue, saying the balancing of harms favored protecting the public's health.

"The court finds (United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Local 112) has not made the significant showing of irreparable harm necessary to enjoin a public entity in the performance of its duties," Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mary Strobel wrote in finalizing her ruling Friday.

The union has a pending unfair practices charge before the Los Angeles City Employee Relations Board and wants a preliminary injunction issued until that matter is resolved. The union's ERB complaint alleges the city has bargained in bad faith concerning the mandate

"The city violated its clear legal obligations under California's public employment relations laws by failing and refusing to bargain in good faith with UFLAC over the effects of its decision to implement a COVID-19 vaccine mandate," the union's court papers stated.

Attorney Dana Martinez, on behalf of the union, told the judge Friday that the union is not challenging the constitutionality of the ordinance, but rather the city's alleged decision to not abide by proper bargaining procedures. She said the city's claim that an emergency existed is undermined on several fronts, including the extension of the vaccination deadline that put unvaccinated firefighters back into the community.

More than 4,000 migrants illegally crossed the southern border of the U.S. in Yuma, Arizona, from Friday through Monday as agents scramble to process those who enter. Yuma Sector Chief Patrol Agent Chris Clem, on Wednesday, tweeted:

Comment: The numbers of illegals crossing the border every day are staggering, but even more alarming when we consider they are arriving from up to 106 countries of origin. We won't hear that factoid from Biden!
