Understanding Technocracy

understanding technocracy
A global Technate is imminent. Technocracy is upon us and we need to resist it.

Over the last couple of years the question of technocratic governance has become a talking point in Western society. The debate concerns the degree to which qualified experts should influence or possibly even control policy.

Largely due to disillusionment with the political class, many people are broadly supportive of this idea. It is therefore crucial that we understand that technocratic governance is just one aspect of technocracy.

A Technate — technocracy applied to the whole of society — is not limited to technocratic governance. It goes much further and is a new and distinct sociopolitical construct.

A Technate vs Technocratic Governance

During the pseudopandemic, prominent members within the UK government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) were not just providing advice, they were seemingly leading policy. People like Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance were "seen," by millions of TV viewers, to be driving government decisions. The accompanying mantra from UK politicians was that they were "led by the science."

Comment: We're opposed to the idea too - and think that the author's analysis would greatly benefit from the work Political Ponerology by Andrew M. Lobaczewski - who put forward the conception of a pathocracy; a society run and largely benefitting an elite class that is made up of pathological individuals who seek to instill their psychopathic values and policies on the rest of the population.

Biden kills Senate resolution to end Yemen genocide

biden mbs fist bump
Bernie Sanders has withdrawn his bill to end US support for the Saudi war on Yemen following reports that the Biden administration was working to tank the resolution, with White House aids reportedly saying they'd recommend the president veto it.

Antiwar's Dave DeCamp reports:
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Tuesday night withdrew his request to vote on the Yemen War Powers Resolution that would end US support for the Saudi-led war and blockade on Yemen, citing White House opposition to the bill.

Sanders said on the Senate floor that he was informed ahead of the scheduled vote of the administration's opposition to the legislation, meaning President Biden would veto the resolution. The Intercept reported earlier in the day that The White House was pressuring senators to vote against the bill, and Democrats came out in opposition to Sanders' resolution earlier on Tuesday, including Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA).

Sanders' justification for not holding the vote was that the administration claimed it would work with Congress on ending the war in Yemen. He said the White House wanted to "work with us on crafting language that would be mutually acceptable" and insisted if that didn't happen, he would resume his efforts to end the war through a resolution.

But even if the White House really wants to engage with Congress on the issue, or if Sanders chooses to reintroduce the resolution, the plan will take time, which Yemenis don't have. There has been a cessation in violence in Yemen, with no Saudi airstrikes since March, but there has been a recent uptick in fighting on the ground.

On Tuesday, former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake appeared in virtual court alongside representatives for Governor-elect Katie Hobbs and other election officials.

The emergency hearing was ordered on Monday by Judge Peter A. Thompson of the Arizona Superior Court in Maricopa County, and marks the latest development in the lawsuit filed by Lake contesting the results of the 2022 General Election, according to the Arizona Sun Times.

The hearing was scheduled for 11 am PST, however, due to technical delays proceedings did not kick off until nearly noon. Earlier Tuesday morning, AZ Sen. Wendy Rogers tweeted out the meeting details, allowing anybody to enter.

Flashback Busted: Disinformation operative who attacked Elon Musk's push for "free speech" caught red-handed in secret influence operation

Elon Musk Illustration
It is not yet clear whether Elon Musk's increasingly precarious play for Twitter will result in the restoration of free speech in the "global public square." Successful or not, Elon's brave move has clarified beyond any doubt the Regime's fundamental hostility to free speech and dissent. Judging from the critical reactions from journalists, NGOs and Democrat politicians, you'd think the man were attempting to invade Poland rather than remove censorship on a social media platform.

Of all the regime scribblers and scribes flooding the internet with glorified blog posts on the awfulness of Elon Musk's Twitter bid, a piece by Renée DiResta published in the Atlantic stands out from the rest — not because of its force of argument, but because of the largely forgotten scandal behind its author.

Like the now disgraced and jobless Nina Jankowicz, DiResta is a career-girl of the Disinformation Industry — a constellation of NATO and US State Department-funded NGOs and civil society groups that censor inconvenient truths, facts and narratives under the guise of protecting the public from so-called "disinformation." And like Nina Jankowicz, it turns out that DiResta's name is closely associated with one of the most explosive and aggressively covered-up influence operations of the century.

Pope warns he has seen 'omens of even greater destruction and desolation' for mankind

The Pope has offered a harrowing vision of the future, saying he has seen signs of an even darker time ahead for humanity.

At a Mass at the Vatican, the Pope, 85, said on Sunday that he has a dire vision for the world with 'omens of even greater destruction and desolation'.

The Mass was commemorating the feast of Our Lady Guadalupe, which fell on Monday. It commemorates the appearance of the Virgin Mary to a young man, Saint Juan Diego, in 1531 in Mexico City. The day is a national holiday in Mexico.

Comment: Regardless of the pope's fallibility and erring, it's notable that both he, and Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox church, since at least 2017, have similarly commented that we appear to have entered some kind of End Time scenario:

Best of the Web: Twitter Files Part 5 reveals staffers who didn't believe Trump violated 'incitement' policy

The fifth installment of Elon Musk's "Twitter Files" Monday revealed that staffers believed that tweets written by former President Donald Trump around the events of Jan. 6, 2021, had not actually violated its policies despite the company saying so at the time.

"For years, Twitter had resisted calls both internal and external to ban Trump on the grounds that blocking a world leader from the platform or removing their controversial tweets would hide important information that people should be able to see and debate," Bari Weiss of The Free Press wrote toward the beginning of her thread on Monday. "But after January 6, as @mtaibbi and @shellenbergermd have documented, pressure grew, both inside and outside of Twitter, to ban Trump."

Weiss cited "dissenters" within Twitter that did not want to ban Trump, including one who wrote, "Maybe because I am from China. I deeply understand how censorship can destroy the public conversation."

"But voices like that one appear to have been a distinct minority within the company. Across Slack channels, many Twitter employees were upset that Trump hadn't been banned earlier," Weiss wrote. "After January 6, Twitter employees organized to demand their employer ban Trump. 'There is a lot of employee advocacy happening,' said one Twitter employee."

Startling fact of the week: Twitter's senior ranks of content moderators included over a dozen former FBI and CIA agents and analysts who let child porn run loose all over the app while surgically removing any utterance contradicting the government's claim that mRNA "vaccines" are "safe and effective" — not to mention the effort this elite crew expended against anyone objecting to the Woke-Left's race and gender hustles. Wouldn't you like to know how much they were paid? Probably more than government work.

Musk messenger Bari Weiss shows where Twitter may be heading

Weiss

Last week, the journalist Bari Weiss dissected the latest batch of the 'Twitter Files,' and while this crackdown on censorship should be applauded, is there anything the public should know about Weiss before getting too excited?

While Twitter BE (Before Elon) had become shockingly proficient at hiding information - and incriminating laptops - from select audiences, it failed to employ that same level of obsessive censorship against its incoming owner, who currently owns the keys to the kingdom. And now, with 'Twitter Files 2' competing with Avatar 2 for popcorn sales, former CEO Jack Dorsey must be kicking himself for not having installed a 'kill switch' on the entire operation.

Last week, all eyes were on Bari Weiss' Twitter account as the independent journalist served up the latest batch of Twitter files to demanding audiences. In contrast to Matt Taibbi's initial release, which showed how Twitter took marching orders from the Biden campaign to block the New York Post's bombshell report on how Hunter Biden and 'the big guy' ran an international pay-to-play operation from Kiev to Beijing, Weiss' 27-point thread showed how the social media monster was secretly 'blacklisting' many conservative posts and users.

Kremlin dismisses Zelensky's demands

The "three steps" that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky urged the country's foreign supporters to take to help Kiev will result in continued hostilities in his country, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said. "Those are three steps towards continued military action," Peskov said on Tuesday.

Zelensky outlined the measures to members of the G7 club of nations in a virtual address on Monday. The steps included sending Ukraine more advanced arms, such as tanks and longer-range missiles, providing an extra 2 billion cubic meters of gas to get through the winter, and using diplomacy to help Kiev achieve its goals in the conflict with Russia.

The latter part refers to a ten-step 'peace formula' that Zelensky explained in a virtual address to the summit of G20 leaders in Indonesia last month. It requires that Russia meet a number of Ukrainian demands, including relinquishing all lands that Kiev considers to be under its own sovereignty.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the time that Zelensky's speech to the G20 was full of "militant, Russophobic and aggressive rhetoric" and simply confirmed that Kiev has no intention of resuming peace talks.

Situation in Kosovo resembles Ukraine, Pristina with 'connivance of the West is playing with fire' - Moscow

Vucic
FILE PHOTO: An emergency meeting of the National Security Council of Serbia under the leadership of President Vucic on the situation in Kosovo has begun.
The ongoing standoff in Kosovo bears an uncanny resemblance to the Donbass crisis, Russia's envoy to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko told Rossiya 24 TV channel on Monday.

"The whole situation, everything, including Pristina's attitude towards the Kosovo Serbs, resembles, although on a smaller scale, what has happened and is still happening in Ukraine," the diplomat said. The West is also treating the ethnic Albanian government in Kosovo the same way it has Kiev, he argued.

Comparing the Donbass crisis to tensions in Kosovo, the ambassador added that "Pristina's desire ... to take control over all of Kosovo, including the regions inhabited by Serbs, at all cost" is what "lies at the heart" of this standoff. Any further escalation would lead to more drastic consequences, Botsan-Kharchenko warned.
