The same media bloodbath that has gutted MSNBC and CNN since the 2024 election is now coming to ABC News.

The network is laying off staff and even completely cut ties to 538, the data and polling outfit created by Nate Silver, who left the network in 2023.

These recent moves came from parent company Disney, which is dealing with its own issues.

The Hill reported:
ABC News eliminating 538 amid layoffs

ABC News Group is eliminating its political arm, 538, which specializes in polling, surveys and data, amid wider layoffs at the Walt Disney parent company, according to information obtained by The Hill.

The layoffs are expected to impact 200 employees which represents under 6 percent of the staff at the company and Disney Entertainment Networks unit. Fifteen employees at 538 will be let go.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the reductions.

The move is a part of broader consolidation efforts that include changes to ABC's on air programming, sources told The Hill.

The network's 20/20 and Nightline shows are set to be merged into one broadcast segment while the Good Morning America production team will be shaved down into management overseen by one person, Simone Swink.

Can Democrats learn to admit when they're wrong? It might depend on the variety of Democrat. Woke activists have proven time after time that they will double down on every incorrect position because they don't care at all about being right; they only care about winning and destroying anyone who stands in their way. But this is psychopathic behavior that should be common only among the fringes of ideological debate.

Are all Democrats woke and crazy, or do a lot of them go along with the extremist mob because they're too afraid to speak against their own side? Or, perhaps a lot of people that lean to the left of the political spectrum have a habit of blindly following the lemmings in front of them, even if it means going off a cliff in the end.

Whether it was psychopathy, cowardice or trend chasing, millions of US voters thought it was a good idea to jump on the woke bandwagon and support authoritarianism, collectivism and moral relativism for at least a solid four years. No moderation was allowed. No nuance was discussed. No centrist ideals entertained. During the Biden Administration and the Kamala Harris campaign ESG, CRT, DEI, LGBT and Net Zero were the message and the madness. It was everywhere and there was no escape.

Australia's most prolific blood and plasma donor, James Harrison, has died at age 88. Known as the "Man with the Golden Arm," Harrison is credited with saving the lives of 2.4 million babies over the course of more than half a century.

Harrison died "peacefully in his sleep" at a nursing home on Feb. 17, Lifeblood — the Australian Red Cross branch responsible for blood donations — announced on Saturday.

Harrison donated blood and plasma a whopping 1,173 times, according to Lifeblood, every two weeks between 1954 and 2018. All but 10 were from his right arm, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

He "never missed a single appointment," the agency said, and "expected nothing in return." Blood donors are not compensated financially under Australian law.

MANNHEIM, Germany, March 3 (Reuters) - A car drove into a crowd in the western German city of Mannheim on Monday, killing at least two people and injuring 11 others, overshadowing carnival celebrations in the region where police had been on alert for attacks. Police detained the driver, who appeared to have ploughed intentionally into the crowd given the speed at which he was driving, prosecutors said in an act Interior Minister Nancy Faeser labeled "horror in broad daylight".

Is this this case of mayhem in "mann heim", (literally translated as "man home"; which in a broader sense is not merely a city in Germany, or just Germany, but the Earth) a sign of the times?

After years of rapid expansion, which have taken the proportions of young people in college to unprecedented heights, higher education is in crisis throughout the English-speaking world. On this side of the Atlantic, a significant number of universities are staring bankruptcy in the face. In real terms, funding is down by nearly a third since tuition fees were raised to £9,000 back in 2012. Four Russell Group universities — Cardiff, Durham, Newcastle and Sheffield — are laying off lecturers to try to balance their books.

On the other side of the pond, America's much wealthier colleges are on a collision course with the newly elected administration of Donald Trump — a collision they have brought upon themselves by years of overt left-wing political activism. Federal funding looks set to be slashed, the generous tax treatment of endowments to be challenged. And everywhere in the Anglophone world, students and recent graduates are weighed down by debt they incurred for degrees that employers view with scepticism — not to mention a double pandemic of mental ill-health and what Richard Dawkins called the woke "mind virus".

Now he's suing for discrimination

Stanley Zhong was a near-perfect college applicant. Out of the more than 2 million kids who take the SAT annually, he's one of roughly 2,000 to score a 1590 or higher.

His high school GPA was a 4.42 on a 4.0 scale. He even had an offer in hand to work a PhD-level job at Google before graduating high school.

Stanley, who intended to study computer science, also managed his own startup, e-document signature platform Rabbit-Sign, while still a high schooler.

By anyone's expectations, the Palo Alto, Calif., teen should have been Harvard- or MIT-bound. Yet Stanley, now 19, was met with disappointment after disappointment in 2023 when college admissions letters started trickling in.

Colony Ridge, notorious for systematically attracting illegal aliens, sells to buyers with foreign identification documents in order to cater to illegal aliens, undercover video captured by Project Veritas and reviewed by The Daily Wire confirms.

The Texas development, which sprawls across 34,000 acres and is the subject of a series of Daily Wire investigations, markets to illegal aliens and was recently targeted by the Department of Homeland Security and the Texas Department of Public Safety in a raid that resulted in the arrest of 118 illegal aliens.

One undercover journalist with Project Veritas spoke to Colony Ridge saleswoman Sandy Moreno, who confirmed that the development north of Houston is oriented to allow illegal aliens to buy land.

A prominent LGBT activist who was recently arrested on charges that included the rape of a 4-year-old girl has been discovered to have organized a pedophile network in France. An investigation conducted by the Office of Minors (L'OFMIN), a newly-created branch of the French National Police, has uncovered a pedophile network that extends from the Loire-Atlantique region to Belgium.

Reporting on the revelations, Le Parisien neglected to name LGBT activist Pierre-Alain Cottineau as the leader of the criminal organization, choosing instead to refer to him as a "32 year-old family assistant in Loire-Atlantique."

Cottineau was well-known in Loire-Atlantique for his political activism, which included advocacy for the LGBT community, youth, and minority populations. In 2021, he stood for departmental elections under the banner of La France Insoumise (LFI), a left-wing political party that has a hard-line "zero-tolerance" policy on "sexist, racist, anti-Semitic or LGBTIphobic remarks or behavior" amongst its members.

As with last year's infections, the majority of the cases are among the homeless.

Dysentery is an uncomfortable and messy infection characterized by severe diarrhea that often contains blood and sometimes mucus. It was once known as the "bloody flux" and has been documented since ancient times, including by Hippocrates. The disease can be fatal. Perhaps most famously, it claimed the life of King Henry V of England, who died suddenly from dysentery in 1422 while campaigning in France.

The condition typically results from bacterial or parasitic infections, with the most common causes being the bacteria Shigella (leading to shigellosis) and the amoeba Entamoeba histolytica (leading to amoebiasis).
