Two are in a critical condition after the incident in the centre of the seaport city of Szczecin, while a 33-year-old man who fled the scene has been apprehended, the website Poland-24 reported.
"We have an incident here with currently 17 people injured, including three minors and two in critical condition. The person who caused the accident has been detained," provincial governor Adam Rudawski was quoted as saying by Agence France-Presse.

The press in Poland reported that there were only 10,000 people, which is an obvious falsification of reality.
Currently, farmers are blocking roads across Poland.There was even a threat that if Prime Minister Tusk did not come to talk to farmers, they would start plowing the A1 hiway.
They are angry because when they came to Warsaw some time ago, Mr. Tusk... WAS NOT THERE.
Another thing is that at this protest there were also people dressed as farmers and they were doing crazy work.
THE PROTESTING LEADERS WERE NOT SELECTED for talks with the government.
The government simply announced the LIST of those with whom they would talk, and these were usually government representatives who had already been bought.
This ultimately led to furious farmers.
Prime Minister Tusk completed the whole thing when he announced that he had MONEY FOR FARMERS.
This solved them for good, because the farmers said they were not protesting to get the money. They protest because they do not like the rules imposed by the EU. Every farmer has his own field, and he can do with it WHATEVER HE SEEMS BEST.
