Debunking 7 myths about the new GOP tax reform

When the history of the current year in American history is written, the passage of the 2017 tax reform bill will likely take a very large role.

After a decade of economic contraction and listless growth, Americans demanded a new set of policies that would "make America great again." And Republicans responded by passing a dramatic overhaul to the tax code that aims to break the hold of what liberal economists call "secular stagnation."

The passage of the bill was greeted by the unedifying spectacle of the Democratic opposition, many in the mainstream media, and many leading economists joining to mislead the public about the Republican tax proposals. It played out almost as a Shakespearean play-within-a-play. But instead of Hamlet's production of a play about the assassination of a king, we saw the blue-checkmarks of economics and budgets performing a miniature version of the resistance-without-regard-for-truth that has been performed by America's orthodox elites ever since Donald Trump's election.

Many of the reports about the tax plan, however, are demonstrably false. Others are not even wrong. Below are the top seven myths that critics of the tax overhaul have put forward-and the evidence that disproves them.

"It's starting to all make sense..."

Trump Xi Other
APEC Summit, November, 2017
A foreign enemy of the United States - the British Empire's intelligence services and their allies in the FBI and on Wall Street - has de facto invaded the U.S. with the stated intention of staging a coup d'état against the elected President and the Constitution, in order to reverse his policies of constructing peaceful cooperation with Russia and China, and marching the world back from the brink of war. The British cannot stand for any deviation from the war trajectory of their Bush and Obama administrations, because the survival of their entire system of global geopolitics and financial looting depends on it. Since President Trump was elected by the American people to reverse the Obama policies and do just that, the British et al. are now trying to impeach and jail him, and the truth be damned.

The approach they are taking, and even the cast of characters involved, is nearly identical to the "Get LaRouche" task force they deployed some 30 years ago to unjustly jail Lyndon LaRouche and numerous of his associates, in their unsuccessful effort to silence his voice.

Those simple facts, known for months to the LaRouche movement and its supporters, and circulated far and wide in our Mueller Dossier (now going into its second printing), have now emerged into full public view over the last 72 hours. As President Trump himself tweeted yesterday: "Now it all starts to make sense." It is that international strategic battle, and not anything to do with "domestic politics" or other hot-button issues, right or left, that is at stake.

Comment: All strategies, collusion and actions are speculation until proven. The Brexit Brits have a financial stake in whether Trump and company remain or leave the White House. It also has concerns whether the status quo remains war and profit as usual, or whether peace and OBOR fill other pockets. They certainly do not want the US pivoting towards a Russia-China partnership.

Note: It's not the 'British' empire anymore - it's the 'US/Anglo-American-Zionist/Western' empire

Supreme Court allows full enforcement of Trump travel ban

The Supreme Court has ruled to allow the full enforcement of President Donald Trump's travel ban affecting six Muslim-majority countries.

The Trump administration's request to enforce the third incarnation of Trump's travel ban was approved Monday. The Supreme Court ruling rolls back lower court rulings that restricted enforcement based on bona fide relationships with US persons or businesses. Such exempt relationships had included grandchildren, grandparents, nieces, nephews and cousins of US persons.

The travel ban on US entry for nationals from Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen will be in full effect, while it also undergoes challenges in the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, based in San Francisco, and the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, according to AP.

The Supreme Court is set to hear arguments for and against the current version of the travel ban, updated in September to include some Venezuelan officials and North Korea, next year. Lower courts have already approved of those two latest additions to the list of countries.

Good deal! Russia-Kurd agreement is good for Syria and Turkey

KurdsmeetLavrov

Social media and Turkish media has been ablaze over the last few days, with rumours swirling that the Russian military and Kurdish YPG militias in Syria have "struck a deal".

In reality, Russia and the Kurds have come to an agreement in respect of certain areas east of the Euphrates whereby Kurdish militias will "provide security" for Russian forces now operating in a region that previously had been dominated by the United States and its proxies.

"Co-chair of the committee Nuri Mahmud, who represents the Kurdish militias, stated that the Kurdish units were ready to ensure the security of the Russian servicemen, deployed along the eastern shore of the Euphrates".

From a military and logistical standpoint, the agreement is meaningless for two reasons. First of all, there is hardly anyone left to fight in Eastern Syria and secondly, because Russia doesn't require the kind of "security" the Kurdish militas could attempt to provide in the first place. The agreement therefore is a political one that is cleverly disguised as a military one. Here's why:

Comment: Having no legitimate reason to be in Syria, the US plays both sides against the middle to validate its presence and control, compared to the Russian stance of honor and neutrality. The Kurds have come to a better-late-than-never realization. See also:

Top funder of controversial gene editing tech is the Pentagon

DNAchain

The US military is the world's top funder of a controversial gene editing technology capable of altering global ecosystems. Emails obtained by an environmental advocacy group show that the Pentagon has been secretly funding 'gene drive' studies.

Over 1,200 emails obtained through a freedom of information request by the ETC Group, a research and advocacy organization that focuses on ecological and agricultural issues, shed new light on gene drive research conducted by the shadowy Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

The US Department of Defense has pumped at least $100 million into a controversial technology known as "gene drives" - $35 million more than previously reported - making the US military the top funder and developer of the gene-modifying tech.

The technology is capable of splicing DNA strands in order to insert, alter, or remove targeted traits, and "drive" them through a population by ensuring all the offspring of the targeted organism inherit the alteration. Proponents of the gene-editing technology say it can be used to wipe out malaria-spreading mosquitoes, for example. Critics point out that the method could have unforeseen environmental consequences.

Comment: When evil plays god: Monsanto involvement. Gates Foundation. DARPA. Pentagon. Any alarm bells ringing?

Syrian air defense intercepts 3 Israeli missiles targeting military research facility near Damascus

Israeli missile strike
© Daily SabahIsraeli missiles reach target.
Israel has reportedly launched air strikes at a Syrian military research facility in the Damascus countryside, local media report, claiming that the country's air defense systems engaged and destroyed three out of at least six incoming missiles.

At 11:30pm Monday, Syrian "air defenses confronted an Israeli missile attack on one of our sites in the Damascus suburbs and three of the targets were downed," SANA reported, citing a military source which blamed Tel Aviv for launching repeated attacks against Syrian government's military installations in order to "lift the morale of the collapsed terrorists."

While details of the alleged strike remain scarce, a government source told Sputnik that "Syria's air defense destroyed three of the six missiles that Israel launched at the Research Center in the suburbs of Damascus."

Comment: Without ISIS and a more aggressive US, Israel has had to stir up trouble itself. Its 'champions' are not pushing its demonization of Iran agenda strong or fast enough. It sees the window for destroying Iran evaporating as Russia masterfully facilitates closure to the Syrian conflict. It also sees the US' new plan for a cooperative Israel/Palestine solution on the near horizon...another conclusion it cannot allow.

Israel: Why it attacks Syria

Israeliwarplane
© Sputnik International
Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on Damascus on Saturday. Details of the attack are still unclear, as the first reports were in the Israeli media, and within a matter of hours were removed.

The Israeli reports claim the strikes targeted the "Iranian base" South of Damascus. This military facility has never been confirmed by anybody as actually belonging to Iran, but Israeli outlets played that narrative up as part of the so-called "Iranian threat."

This isn't entirely unusual within Israel, as the military censors often compel the media not to report stories. It is unusual, however, for them to let the story out and then recall it after the fact. This is while media outlets outside of Israel reporting on the incident make no mention of an "Iranian base," saying that what was targeted was a Syrian Army ammunition depot.

Comment: Israel has to fan the fire to keep the embers of its Iran war dream progressing. Until recently, it has been successful crying 'wolf' and manipulating its protectors. The last thing it wants is the Syrian war to peacefully resolve and the world to see Iran is not the enemy. Calculation: it must become actively involved and victimized to stop the process and reignite persuasion.

Libtard Pelosi tells California Republicans, "You don't belong here"

Nancy Pelosi

Isn't it funny how top Democrats love to talk about "tolerance" and "compassion" when they are, in fact, the least tolerant and least compassionate people out there? Take this tweet from Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for instance:

It's always wonderful to see liberals talk about the people as if they were some kind of collective with shared interests. That's nonsense, of course. Some people benefit from this policy, others from that one. The belief that "the people" are somehow one - and united - has caused major suffering worldwide. Just think about North Korea. The Soviet Union. Mao's China. 'Modern' Venezuela. And Cuba. In every single one of those countries, leaders talk about "the people" constantly, while expanding their own personal power. One of their favorite tools? Sending opponents off to the gulag/prison/concentration camps.

Comment: No surprise indeed. As they say, "the light's on but no one's home."

Death of Saleh forbodes a fresh hell for Yemen

Saleh
© Patrick Kovarik/AFPYemeni ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh
Yemen's ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who was killed early this morning in a reported rocket attack, will be remembered by history as one of four dictators brought down by the Arab spring five years ago. The other three were Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia and Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.

For a while, Saleh looked like the smartest of them all. He avoided being killed like Gaddafi, imprisoned like Mubarak or exiled like Ben Ali.

In the wake of the Arab Spring Ali Abdullah Saleh remained in Yemen. Very much so. Though he gave up the title of president, he never abandoned power. Ali Abdullah Saleh simply changed sides, and not for the first time in a remarkable career which stretches back more than four decades.

Before the Arab Spring Saleh had survived by telling the United States that he was its closest ally in the 'war on terror' while simultaneously doing side deals with Al-Qaeda. Upon being dumped by the Americans in 2012, he stunned the world by entering into an alliance with the Houthi rebels who seized control of the Yemeni capital of Sana'a in September 2014.

Comment: Humanitarian crisis to escalate...hard to imagine Yemen under worse conditions than it already is. See also:

Hungarian FM Szijjarto: We refuse to accept terrorism as something we have to live with

Peter Szijjarto
© unknownHungarian FM Peter Szijjarto
Member states cannot be stripped of their rights to discuss the issues around integration, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday at his annual hearing before parliament's European affairs committee.

The "historic challenges" the bloc faces, such as terrorism, immigration, energy security, Brexit and the Ukraine situation, "have stayed with us" during the past year, Szijjarto noted. With 28 sovereign states comprising the EU, serious debate on these issues is natural, the minister said. It is antidemocratic and unacceptable to call those insisting on the right to discussion un-European, he said.

Concerning terrorism in particular, Szijjarto suggested that it was now "an everyday phenomenon" and said that: "Hungary refuses to accept it as something we have to live with".

"We expect Europe's institutions to act against it at last," he said. He also argued that terrorism was a direct consequence of "1.5 million illegal migrants coming to Europe without any control in the past two years; this movement does offer an opportunity for terrorist organisations to send their fighters without any problem".

Comment: The EU migrant issue has not, so far, been solved by policy, homogenization nor ad hoc control. Airing issues and ramifications to which Hungary is unwilling to be subjected, it has been repeatedly condemned and ostracized by the EU. See also:
