The Washington Post tried to memory-hole Kamala Harris' bad joke about inmates begging for food and water

UPDATE: As of 1:15 p.m. on January 22, The Washington Post has updated its website and URLs to restore the original version of the Kamala Harris profile detailed in Reason's post, below.
"We should have kept both versions of the story on the Post's site (the original and updated one), rather than redirecting to the updated version," Kris Coratti, the Post's vice president for communications, told Reason in a statement on Friday. "We have now done that, and you will see the link to the original at the top of the updated version."
Reason has updated the headline of this story to reflect those changes. The rest of the story remains unaltered.

When The Washington Post published a 2019 campaign trail feature about then-presidential hopeful Kamala Harris' close relationship with her sister, it opened with a memorable anecdote in which Harris bizarrely compared the rigors of the campaign trail to...life behind bars.

And then proceeded to laugh — at the idea of an inmate begging for a sip of water.

Comment: This article clearly demonstrates how sick and twisted individuals rise to top positions of power - no matter how much damage and misery they cause . Sometimes a few words or small actions can show us their real essence, but only if we pay attention to all these little signs that are often invisible and hidden.

The mainstream media functions to watch their backs and control the damage by modifying their words, censoring, and spreading fake news - so that perceptions of pathological leaders may be twisted, and their true natures obscured.

People need knowledge of psychopathology and other personality disorders, so that they may protect their families, communities and society from a "disease' that is destroying human lives for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.

One of Biden's first acts is to ensure White House website asks for correct pronouns

One of the Biden's administration's first acts after the inauguration earlier today was to change the White House website to ensure it asked people for their correct pronouns.

Comment: In the next 4 years we are going to see how the creepy creatures from the "swamp" lead the show in the US, and how most countries in the world follow them. But normal human beings can't accept their twisted and bizarre pseudo reality as the new normal - no matter how aggressively it is pushed and made policy. And perhaps, because of this, we'll see another movement - a movement of traditional values - that seeks to address it.

Another Mega Group spy scandal? Samanage, sabotage, and the SolarWinds hack portends possible attack on Microsoft world-wide in service of Great Reset

Samanage, Sabotage, and the SolarWinds Hack
The devastating hack on SolarWinds was quickly pinned on Russia by US intelligence. A more likely culprit, Samanage, a company whose software was integrated into SolarWinds' software just as the "back door" was inserted, is deeply tied to Israeli intelligence and intelligence-linked families such as the Maxwells.

In mid-December of 2020, a massive hack compromised the networks of numerous US federal agencies, major corporations, the top five accounting firms in the country, and the military, among others. Despite most US media attention now focusing on election-related chaos, the fallout from the hack continues to make headlines day after day.

The hack, which affected Texas-based software provider SolarWinds, was blamed on Russia on January 5 by the US government's Cyber Unified Coordination Group. Their statement asserted that the attackers were "likely Russian in origin," but they failed to provide evidence to back up that claim.

Since then, numerous developments in the official investigation have been reported, but no actual evidence pointing to Russia has yet to be released. Rather, mainstream media outlets began reporting the intelligence community's "likely" conclusion as fact right away, with the New York Times subsequently reporting that US investigators were examining a product used by SolarWinds that was sold by a Czech Republic-based company, as the possible entry point for the "Russian hackers." Interest in that company, however, comes from the fact that the attackers most likely had access to the systems of a contractor or subsidiary of SolarWinds. This, combined with the evidence-free report from US intelligence on "likely" Russian involvement, is said to be the reason investigators are focusing on the Czech company, though any of SolarWinds' contractors/subsidiaries could have been the entry point.

Comment: The author has (again) mapped out a set of agendas, bad actors and agencies that paint quite the picture of some rather nasty plans afoot. See also:

Slasher Biden kills off estimated 52,100 jobs in first day as President

Biden
© Unknown'It's this much.'
On his first day in office Joe Biden killed off an estimated 52,100 American jobs.
That must be a record, right?

After his bizarre inaugural behind fences and 20,000 military troops, Biden hobbled to the Oval Officer were he signed several executive orders including the end of construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline and the end of construction of the Trump border wall.

Canceling the Keystone Pipeline costs over 11,000 construction jobs and 42,100 jobs throughout the US during the construction process according to the US State Department.

Canceling the Trump border wall will cost 10,000 jobs.

That's a total of 52,100 jobs lost in his first 8 hours in office.
Nice work, Joe!

Breaking norms and precedent, Biden attempts to purge career intelligence official

Hours after President Joe Biden delivered his inaugural address promising to bring unity and healing to the country, his administration began a politically charged attack on a highly respected, newly appointed career intelligence official over fears he would be insufficiently loyal to Democratic partisans. The attempted purge has thus far followed the playbook publicly laid out by top Democrats and their left-wing media enablers.

In a stunning violation of precedent, Biden's National Security Agency (NSA) placed General Counsel Michael J. Ellis on administrative leave pending a Defense Inspector General investigation of his recent appointment, as well as an unspecified claim of mishandling of classified information. Ellis has maintained a top security clearance, without any blemish, for more than a decade. He is a trained classification official both as a military officer and civilian.

While Ellis has prominent defenders from his many years of service in the intelligence community, his detractors include high profile participants in the Russia collusion hoax, proponents of former National Security Advisor John Bolton's attempt to publish classified information in a book, and some of the individuals who orchestrated the Ukraine impeachment effort.

Biden administration deletes '1776 Commission' from WH website immediately after inauguration

1776 Commission
© Katherine Nagasawa/WBEZ
The 1776 Commission was removed from the White House website about an hour after President Joe Biden was sworn into office on Wednesday afternoon.

Biden had already prepared to reverse key policies of the Trump administration through executive orders on his first day in the White House. One of those policies to be reversed was the 1776 Commission, according to a report by CNN.

The 1776 Commission had released its final report on Monday, fulfilling Trump's request to reaffirm the importance of America's founding principles in the daily life and education of its citizens.

Now, a search for "1776 report" and "1776 commission" on the White House website comes up blank, giving an error note, which states, "It seems we can't find what you're looking for." An archive of the White House website from Monday shows the importance former President Trump placed in restoring the "understanding of the greatness of the American founding."

"The 1776 Report calls for a return to the unifying ideals stated in the Declaration of Independence," said Chairman Larry P. Arnn, Vice Chair Carol Swain, and Executive Director Matthew Spalding in a joint statement on Wednesday:
"It quotes the greatest Americans, black and white, men and women, in devotion to these ideals. The Commission may be abolished, but these principles and our history cannot be. We will all continue to work together to teach and to defend them."

Comment: As one person said: 'Is the baying from the woke left so furious that dissolving a commission named after our nation's founding, and deleting a report calling for teaching objective history, makes the top of the list?' To that the writers had this to say in defense of the project:
For the record, we commissioners intend to continue meeting and fulfilling the charges of our two-year remit. The Heritage Foundation will also continue to host the report, which you can henceforth find here.
"Few people in our nation's history have been more challenged or found a time more challenging or difficult than the time we're in now. We have never, ever, ever, ever failed in America when we've acted together."
One of the worst examples of the media "coverage" was a CNN report whose headline actually screamed this libel: "Trump administration issues racist school curriculum report on MLK day." In a breach of journalistic ethics (if those two words can still be written together), the body of the story did not bother to explain where in the report was there a hint of racism.

Ditto for USA Today, which had a straight up news report — not an opinion piece — with the breathless accusation that the report was a
"document that excuses America's history of slavery, derides the legacy of the civil rights movement and equates progressivism with totalitarianism."
Ibram X. Kendi, the Boston University activist/professor who insists that racism on behalf of people he deems marginalized is not just welcome, but necessary and not actually racism, said this in a tweet: "This report makes it seems as if slave-holding Founding Fathers were abolitionists." It is not hard to understand why Kendi is so allergic to the Founders. He proposes a federal department of "anti-racism" that bars political appointees, and thus therefore believes in separating government from the consent of the governed, one of the key touchstones of the Founding.

On what the Founders believed, and more importantly what their contemporaries thought, Abraham Lincoln told Stephen Douglas on their famous Third Debate in 1858:
"In the way our fathers originally left the slavery question, the institution was in the course of ultimate extinction, and the public mind rested on the belief that it was in the course of ultimate extinction. When this government was originally established, nobody expected the institution of slavery would last until this day."
That is the work we recommended in the 1776 report, for historians to look at primary sources, analyze what they meant in the context of the time, debate that meaning in good faith, without an agenda, and be ready to correct the record when proven wrong. We in the commission prefer to heed Biden's words, when he called in his inaugural address to "reject the culture in which facts are manipulated and even manufactured."

This is why serious intellectuals on the 1776 Commission, such as Charles Kesler, Spalding, Swain, and Arnn, felt so strongly about our work, and why we will continue to carry it out.
As per above, we will see if Biden's words ring true or hollow. A calculated guess suggests the latter.

A British take adds focus to the outlandish rejection of the Report:
The 1776 Report - produced by President Trump's Advisory 1776 Commission — is a thing of such beauty, dignity, and scholarship that it makes me wish I were American, not British. I find it utterly inconceivable that any administration in the UK would be capable of producing a document of such gravitas or wisdom. Take this bit from near the end:
To be an American means something noble and good. It means treasuring freedom and embracing the vitality of self-government. We are shaped by the beauty, bounty and wildness of our continent. We are united by the glory of our history. And we are distinguished by the American virtues of openness, honesty, optimism, determination, generosity, confidence, kindness, hard work, courage and hope. Our principles did not create these virtues, but they laid the groundwork for them to grow and spread and forge America into the most just and glorious country in all of history.
There's a confidence, there, a pride and a clarity of purpose that you simply would not find in anything produced by Boris Johnson's flaccid regime, nor by any of its recent predecessors (except perhaps Margaret Thatcher's) nor by any of the parties currently likely to form the next government.

We all still know exactly what kind of country we'd like to live in. Our problem is that we don't live in it any more. And the fault lies entirely within the system of customs and unwritten rules is dependent on the probity of the people within it. The rot was the exception; now it's the rule.

Though it's true that the events of the last few weeks have shown America's institutions to have been similarly corrupted, the difference is that the U.S. has an inbuilt reset button which it can press any time. The U.S. can go back to the first principles established by the Founding Fathers. Indeed, 'freedom' appears in the very first sentence of the introduction, and crops up again and again, unapologetically, as one of the fundamental rights enshrined in the phrase 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.'

Suppose now a commission were to be established along the lines of President Trump's Advisory 1776 Commission. You'd get a bunch of race-baiting hack pseudo-academics such as you find bloviating in all the newspapers and making unwatchable revisionist documentaries for the BBC. There'd be no talk of liberty or tradition either. It would all be about nebulous qualities like 'tolerance' and 'sustainability' and 'resilience' and 'community'.

Britain is lost, I fear. America still has a future. That written constitution has made all the difference.
See the final report here.

National Guard forced to evacuate Capitol grounds after alleged mask complaint by Democrat congressman

National guard troops washington
National Guard deployed in Washington, DC for Biden's inauguration.
National Guard troops were forced to evacuate the Capitol building grounds on Thursday and hang out in parking garages, allegedly after a Democrat congressman complained about one National Guard member not wearing a mask at a cafe in the building.

According to a source, Rep. Will Keating (D-MA) reported to the Capitol building authorities earlier in the day that a National Guardsman was seen in a Dunkin Donuts without a mask on.

After Keating commented out loud that masks were required to be worn at all times in a federal building, the National Guard member responded, "I appreciate my freedom," according to the source.

Comment: The story continued to spin badly for the Democrats. Fox News reports:
Sen. Tammy Duckworth, an Iraq War veteran, tweeted: "Just made a number of calls and have been informed Capitol Police have apologized to the Guardsmen and they will be allowed back into the complex tonight. I'll keep checking to make sure they are."

The DC National Guard released the following statement on Thursday night:

"The National Guard continues to assist and support the U.S. Capitol Police. As Congress is in session and increased foot traffic and business is being conducted, Capitol Police asked the troops to move their rest area. They were temporarily relocated to the Thurgood Marshall Judicial Center garage with heat and restroom facilities. We remain an agile and flexible force to provide for the safety and security of the Capitol and its surrounding areas.

Security detail does require a rest period and a rest area as the troops perform their shift work with breaks to get out of inclement weather.
Outraged state governors are pulling their units back:
Govs. Ron DeSantis, Chris Sununu and Greg Abbott announced that they are bringing their National Guard troops back from Washington, D.C., after reports they were posted up in a parking garage near the Capitol to rest during their shifts, a move that caused outrage at the treatment of the servicemembers.

On Fox & Friends, reacting to the controversy, DeSantis also decried background checks of National Guard troops for radicalism ahead of the inauguration and called the massive effort to protect the Capitol a "half-cocked mission at this point."

DeSantis' move follows a similar decision from Abbott, also a Republican.

"I have instructed General Norris to order the return of the Texas National Guard to our state," Abbott tweeted late Thursday. Abbott had also previously lodged a similar objection to DeSantis over the background checks into National Guard servicemembers.

Sununu, the GOP governor from New Hampshire, also announced he is recalling his state's National Guard, saying the soldiers "should be graciously praised, not subject to substandard conditions." But the outrage at the soldiers being sent to rest in a garage was hardly partisan.
And the Guards themselves 'feel betrayed':
The troops are particularly concerned about being packed in tight quarters with limited bathroom access during a pandemic. At least 100 Guardsmen have tested positive for Covid-19, according to two Guardsmen. Some are quarantining in hotels.

A spokesperson previously declined to provide a specific number for troops who have tested positive for the virus.

After images went viral last week of troops sleeping on the floor in the halls of Congress, Guardsmen protecting the Capitol were initially provided cots, POLITICO first reported.

Thousands of troops have already left Washington after around 25,000 were called to D.C. to help defend it from potential threats ahead of President Joe Biden's inauguration on Wednesday.
Social media was there to document the entire fiasco, with former President Trump taking the lead to offer rooms at his Washington hotel:

BankUnited has unilaterally terminated its relationship with former President Trump
A Florida bank announced Thursday that it has closed down former President Trump's account, joining a growing list of entities that have cut ties with the former president following the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

In his financial disclosures, Trump had stated he had two money-market accounts with Banks United, The Washington Post reports. The accounts held somewhere between $5.1 million and $25.2 million.

"We no longer have any depository relationship with him," said Banks United, without giving reasons for its decision to shutter the accounts.

Comment: The Gateway Pundit adds :
Professional Bank also announced that they will no longer be doing business with the former president or his organizations in a statement last week.

Additionally, Signature Bank in New York and Deutsche Bank have also said that they have cut ties with Trump and his businesses.

"Deutsche Bank is currently seeking to resolve more than $300 million in loans, reportedly looking to offload the loans onto another lender due to the negative press their dealings with Trump has caused. Deutsche Bank's relationship with the Trump Organization is under a civil investigation by New York attorney general Letitia James."

Joe Biden ditches mask at Lincoln Memorial — hours after mandating them

Joe Biden

President Biden was spotted going maskless at the Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday night — hours after signing an executive order mandating the use of masks on federal land to battle the coronavirus pandemic.

The newly inaugurated president went bare-faced not only during a televised address to the American people, but also outside the context of the speech, as he stood at the foot of the memorial, C-SPAN footage shows.

Comment: Here's Biden with his family at the memorial:

They aren't wearing masks because the rules don't apply to them, and masks don't provide protection from any virus. One reason they wore masks during the fraudulent elections was symbolically to show they are part of the "system", and to stick it to Trump. Now that Biden is in office, they can lower the cycles on PCR tests (which they should have done from the beginning) so that cases will now magically disappear, reopen restaurants in DC, remove the daily Covid death count ticker from CNN's newscreen. But at the same time, institute a federal mask mandate that seemingly doesn't apply to the Bidens. In case you haven't figured it out, Covid guidelines are psychopathic, plain and simple.

Masks have been forced upon people to identify the obedient sheeple from the non-obedient, to increase the infection rate not just of the Covid virus but also many other pathogens, to inflate the number of false-positive cases in order to continue with their aggressive agenda.
