Israel's agreement of an unconditional ceasefire is actually an admission of defeat

After rejecting previous offers, Israel finally agreed to a ceasefire with Hamas, figuring it had killed enough Palestinian civilians. Yet, does the belated move betray an admission of defeat?

First they came for the children, the adults, the schools, and the hospitals

After slaughtering 248 people, including 66 children, and wounding 1,900, the Zionist regime finally agreed to a ceasefire on May 21. Until then, it had displaced 72,000 civilians and damaged 16,800 housing units (of which 1,800 had become unfit for living and 1,000 were completely destroyed), 51 schools and educational facilities, six hospitals, and 11 primary health centers, including Gaza's only Covid-19 testing laboratory.

Such cruelty was shocking but expected. Like its imperial mentor the US, the Israeli regime often initiates such violence to distract public attention from domestic problems. And few needed the distraction more than its embattled leader Benjamin Netanyahu, currently on trial for corruption. Zionist leaders see slaughtering Palestinians as a low-cost technique to try to bolster their popularity. Israeli voters remain divided over which figurehead to choose to bomb Palestinians; four elections in two years have failed to produce a decisive result.

Ahead of next month's eagerly awaited Putin/Biden summit, Kremlin warns 'reset' in US-Russian relations unlikely to be on cards

Russian President Vladimir Putin doesn't expect that a meeting with his American counterpart Joe Biden next month will trigger a drastic change in the fractured state of relations between the two countries, his spokesman has said.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov cautioned that it would be better "not to indulge in any excessive expectations about the potential outcomes of this meeting." He added, however, that the in-person meeting in Switzerland on June 16 would still be a "very important event in the context of a specific and applied plan," even if it can't be expected that "it will be possible to reach an understanding on issues of deep disagreement."

The official went on to say that "we aren't thinking in terms of a reset here," referencing the term widely used to describe a thaw in relations between the US and Russia after then-President Dmitry Medvedev met with Biden's predecessor, Barack Obama, in 2009. Shortly afterwards, the two nations announced a reduction in strategic arms and a shared position on the contentious issues of the Iranian and North Korean nuclear programs.

Russell Brand viral video slams MSM & Silicon Valley for hiding "troubling" Hunter Biden news

In a rare and refreshing interview which on YouTube has garnered 100,000 views in less than 24 hours, British comedian and actor Russell Brand and former Intercept journalist Glenn Greenwald teamed up to explain last year's scandalous coordination by the mainstream media and social media companies to ensure the Hunter Biden laptop story and accompanying revelations over the Hunter-Ukrainian Burisma energy company scandal never reached broader public view.

"I'm not a pro-Republican person," Brand introduced while talking to Greenwald on his YouTube channel. "I don't see myself that way. I don't see myself as conservative, or that I'm in a Trump, or Giuliani, or the kind of media establishments that were reporting on these revelations [about Biden's family]. They are not my cultural, social, or political allies. That's certainly not how I see myself." And then he blasted away: "However, it seems to me — what reason is Hunter Biden sat on the board of an energy company in... Ukraine?" he questioned. "What reason is James Biden sat on the board, or receiving payments from an energy company, in China?"

Sanctions against Russia just aren't working, says French President Macron, calling for dialogue & review of EU's stance on Moscow

France's President Emmanuel Macron has called on the EU to re-evaluate its foreign policy approach to Russia, arguing that the bloc's current strategy isn't helping to restore constructive relations between Moscow and the West.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Macron said that "with Russia, the policy of progressive sanctions on frozen situations is no longer an effective policy."

"I think that we are at a moment of truth in our relationship with Russia, which should lead us to rethink the terms of the tension that we decide to put in place," the leader added.

Asked by reporters as to how the EU can put forward its political objectives in cases like that of the jailing of Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny, Macron pushed back, asking. "What would you like us to do? Do we start an armed conflict? Do we completely cut off relations? Do we go further with sanctions - but where to?"

The Great Reset's comprehensive plan for food

great reset food
The oft-overlooked 'Food Security' pillar of the Davos mafia's 'Great Reset' agenda.

Imagine with me: a plate of food that fulfills all your nutritional needs, that is provided to you for free, that has a whole host of fancy labels declaring it, for example, carbon neutral and 'fair trade.' It is produced by a handful of global companies, who through thousands of experiments have produced this optimal super-food. There is genetically modified cauliflower that is rammed with extra vitamins, meat-free soya alternatives that provides protein and a 'secret-sauce' that makes everything taste amazing. It doesn't sound too bad does it?

If somebody told you that there was a plan to revolutionise the global food system from the top down, would you believe them? Well perhaps after reading this article you will see that we are rapidly approaching that point today.

Food security is something that we in the West, for the most part, take for granted. There is affordable food in plentiful stock in shops in every town. The difficulty often is choosing from the plethora of worldly foods, which to eat for dinner - though it wasn't ever thus. We humans have gone through periods of intense famine and great struggle for sustenance. Our bodies still have coping mechanisms for starvation and we are still driven by base urges for those sweet and fatty foods which would see us through Winters yore. It doesn't seem like we will be returning to that hungerous state any time soon, surely not in this world of plenty.

A federal judge granted Stephen Bannon's motion to dismiss the case against him on Tuesday following then-President Donald Trump's pardon.

"For the reasons stated above, Bannon's motion is GRANTED and the Indictment is DISMISSED as to him, pursuant to paragraph one of the Pardon," Judge Analisa Torres declared in a filing.

But Torres also pointed out that a pardon implies guilt.

"If there be no guilt, there is no ground for forgiveness," she wrote. "It is an appeal to executive clemency. It is asked as a matter of favor to the guilty. It is granted not of right but of grace. A party is acquitted on the ground of innocence; he is pardoned through favor."

Gov't now set to vote on amendment that, if passed, would expel the Israeli ambassador to Ireland and impose sanctions against Israel.

The Irish government has supported a parliamentary motion condemning the "de facto annexation" of Palestinian land by Israeli authorities, in what it said was the first use of the phrase by a European Union country in relation to Israel.

Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said on Tuesday that the motion, brought forward by opposition party Sinn Fein, "is a clear signal of the depth of feeling across Ireland".

Comment: Ireland's own troubled history of conquest, occupation, and divide-and-rule government makes it easy for it to recognize another peoples' suffering. They have long been supporters of Palestine's struggle for freedom. From 2014:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed during a recent interview that she was "doing therapy" because of the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, adding that former President Donald Trump had her in a "very reactive mode."

Ocasio-Cortez made the remarks during an interview late last week with Latino USA, saying that the events of January 6 were "extraordinarily traumatizing."

Business Insider highlighted one specific claim that AOC made:
...Ocasio-Cortez said that the insurrection was deeply traumatizing for many members of Congress, who effectively "served in war."

Fed to Treasury dealers and Congress: 'We can't count on you, we're taking charge'

federal reserve crest
The Fed sees itself as trapped by the incompetence and greed of the other players and by its own policy extremes that were little more than expedient "saves" of a system that is unraveling due to its fragility and brittleness. . .

There are two standard-issue narratives about the Federal Reserve's agenda: the Fed's official narrative is that the Fed's mandate is to keep inflation under control while promoting full employment. The unofficial mandate that's obvious to all is to prop up assets, especially the stock market, which has become the Fed's preferred signifier of prosperity and the rightness/goodness of Fed policies.

The other narrative results from "following the money": the Fed is owned by private-sector banks, and so behind the curtain of happy-talk (full employment, blah-blah-blah), the Fed's only real agenda is to further enrich banks and too big to fail/jail financiers -- something it has managed to do with remarkable success.

That the Fed inflated the 1999-2000 dot-com bubble and the 2005-2008 housing bubble is undeniable, as is the Fed's 2008-09 bailout of the global financial system and too big to fail/jail mortgage originators and a vast array of other profiteering, embezzler-scoundrels.

Future pandemic will be 'more deadly' than Covid-19, WHO chief warns

Tedros

A virus even more transmissible and fatal than Covid-19 will lead the world into the next pandemic, the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) has said, noting the "evolutionary certainty" of such an occurrence.

"Make no mistake, this will not be the last time the world faces the threat of pandemic," Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told the UN agency's annual assembly of health ministers from its 194 member states on Monday. "It's an evolutionary certainty that there will be another virus with the potential to be more transmittable and more deadly than this one."

On a more positive note, Ghebreyesus said the global number of Covid-19 cases and deaths reported has been decreasing for three consecutive weeks.

Comment: It's obvious to anyone paying attention that governments in league with organizations like the WHO are creating a scenario that is just ripe for an actual plague.

There's an experimental mass vaccination program that seems to not only be causing new variants, but is implicated in countless severe side effects, that likely include a compromised immune system, as well as deaths; there's lockdowns reducing natural immune defenses through stress, isolation, lack of exercise and fresh air, they're also preventing the natural circulation of more harmless viruses - in turn forcing them to mutate to become even more virulent; then there's enforced mask wearing that harms health and creates a breeding ground for potentially worse bacteria and viruses. Taken together, none of the above bode well for a healthy future:
