Pentagon reviews 'clandestine' ops after social media removed fake account linked to US, report

cyberattaque
The Pentagon is reportedly planning to review how it carries out "clandestine information warfare" after Twitter and Facebook removed fake accounts they suspected of being run by the U.S. military.

Defense Policy Undersecretary Colin Kahl told military commanders in charge of online psychological operations to give a full account of their actions by October, The Washington Post reported Monday.

Kahl said he wants to know what operations have been conducted, who is being targeted, what tools the military is using, why the military has picked these tactics and how effective they have been, several officials told the outlet.

Comment: "So, you've been targeting the American public? But it's been effective? Carry on, then!"

The command comes after the White House and several federal agencies expressed concerns about alleged Defense Department attempts to manipulate overseas audiences, according to officials familiar with the situation.

Internet researchers Graphika and the Stanford Internet Observatory did not blame the military after finding last month that Twitter and Facebook removed over 150 fake accounts and media sites that originated in the United States over the past several years.

Researchers found social media companies took down content in Arabic, Farsi and Urdu, as well as information connected to anti-Russia and anti-Iran narratives. They also found that fake online personas did not gain as much of a following as overt accounts. The Post reported that sources say these accounts are connected to the military.

Pentagon launches probe into woke female diversity officer for disparaging tweets about white people

The Pentagon announced it has launched a probe into one of its 'diversity' officers over the weekend, after her series of scathing posts disparaging white people on her social media resurfaced.

The tweets by Kelisa Wing, an Army veteran and the current chief 'diversity, equity and inclusion' officer at the Department of Defense's Education Activity office, were first reported last week, and have since come under federal scrutiny.

Fox News resurfaced the old posts, which use well-worn slang terms to mock white people include 'Karen' and 'CAUdacity' - a play on the word Caucasian - and were reportedly set to private after the outlet reached out for comment.

The account, along with the longtime DOD staffer's LinkedIn profile, has since been deleted, now that the federal official's tweets, posted over the course of several years, have become a subject of national concern.

Perhaps most troubling, though, is the fact that Wing, who was promoted to head of the Education office during the pandemic, oversees the education of Pentagon staffers' children - including those of active duty service members.

Comment: Maybe the Pentagon will start to really look at the rot hollowing it out. But with clowns like Milley in charge, it's not likely.

Ukraine's military recruits need training. Only one of Europe's giants is pulling its weight

ukraine flag raising

The UK is training thousands of Ukrainian soldiers, while France helps just a handful.

They come to the U.K. in their thousands — Ukrainians from every walk of life, in urgent need of military training to protect their homeland.

From lawyers to bricklayers, they are flown in from across Ukraine. The aim is to turn the new recruits into soldiers in just five weeks, providing basic military skills — infantry tactics; weapons handling; patroling; first aid; evacuation — before they return to fight on the frontline.

Comment: France isn't stupid. No matter how much training Ukraine receives, Russia is coming out on top in this one. France's reluctance to 'poke the Bear' is likely the best strategy given the overall state of things. If they're smart, they'll ignore the shaming in the press.

Zelensky aide says civilian officials are 'legitimate targets'

The government in Kiev was behind deadly shelling in Kherson and it also organized the murder of two civilian officials in Berdyansk on Friday, Mikhail Podoliak, an aide to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, has confirmed.

However, Podoliak insisted these were not acts of terrorism but legitimate strikes against purely military targets.

"Everything that happened in Berdyansk, in Melitopol, in Kherson — those are all absolutely legitimate military targets. Those are certainly not terrorist or, strictly speaking, criminal acts," Podoliak said.

King Charles III will carry on championing green issues

© Chris Jackson/ReutersThe new King is known to be passionate about environmental issues.
Monarch was accused of 'meddling' as Prince of Wales, but will now channel his passion in a different way.

The King will continue to champion the environment while on the throne, palace sources have indicated.

However, he will "highlight" rather than campaign in the manner he has done for decades.

It comes after the King had a telephone conversation with Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, during which the French president "signalled his full willingness" to continue their work together - "starting with the protection of the climate and the planet".

Dallas Texas launches city-wide 'racial equity plan'

Critical race theory Rufo
Manhattan Institute senior fellow and journalist Christopher Rufo revealed that the City of Dallas has implemented a "racial equity plan."

Rufo wrote, "The City of Dallas has adopted a new 'racial equity plan' that uses the language of critical race theory and argues for replacing the goal of "equality" with the goal of "equity," or equality of outcomes."

Comment: Meanwhile, many conservative politicians are seeking to ban Critical Race Theory, which in essence is merely a re-branded form of Marxism serving to breed more racism and division within society: Make sure to also check out the MindMatters episode discussing this topic:

Why US Gains Nothing From Presence in Syria Except Denying Territories to Assad

The US conducted an air strike and vowed to carry out another in Deir ez-Zor, Syria against allegedly pro-Iran groups after an attack on the Green Village base near the Iraqi border on August 15. What's behind the escalation?
"What's going on here is the latest in a series of tit-for-tat actions which underline the absurdity of the presence of US forces in Syria," says Peter Ford, former UK ambassador to Syria (2003 - 2006). "The US gains nothing from this presence, except in that it denies territory to the Syrian government. Allowing Assad to walk in would look like a success for Syria's ally Russia, which would be particularly awkward for Biden at this juncture because of Ukraine. The US forces must therefore submit to being a target for hostile militias, not even able to retaliate forcefully because that would invite escalation."
The US military continues to maintain its illegal presence in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, Al-Hasakah and Raqqa. There, the US contingent is collaborating with the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia. On August 15, several rockets landed near the military base in northeastern Syria housing US troops without causing any injuries, according to a statement from Maj. Gen. John Brennan, the commander of the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). Washington insists that the attacks were conducted by groups backed by Iran. However, Tehran resolutely denies having any ties with the militants. On August 24, a US base in Syria near the Iraqi border was hit again by rocket fire, according to Iraqi security sources.

RFK Jr. interviews John Titus about justice department corruption by global banksters

RFK Jr. and John Titus
© BestEvidence
RFK Jr. had me on his podcast recently to discuss a documentary, "All the Plenary's Men," that I made about how a network of global banksters got the U.S. Justice Department to refrain from prosecuting London bank HSBC for money laundering crimes in the closing days of Obama's first term of office.

It's a bit odd, I thought, his request for an interview, in that I released the video onto YouTube over five years ago.

So why now, Bobby? I'm wondering. I know that Catherine Austin Fitts, whom I assist every week in co-hosting and co-producing her own "Money & Markets" podcast for Solari Inc., had lobbied RFK Jr. to have me on specifically discuss that video, but I figured he'd take a pass. That he actually extended an invite to discuss the doc came as surprise. But then again, it's clear that more and more people are waking up to who's actually in charge of the increasingly brazen mafiacracy we live under.

So why not talk about "All the Plenary's Men," I thought? It's a nifty piece of detective work, that video, and without a doubt it's made the rounds over the last five years. Max Keiser saw it and invited and had me on the Keiser Report to talk about it, and people still ask me about it and as well about the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), which plays a central role in the shameful HSBC/DOJ saga. Hell, to this day the video still plays regularly at odd hours on Cape Town, South Africa's public access TV station — as recently as this week. I kid you not. Check out the orange highlighting...

In part the video's staying power, however meager (it has a grand total of 115,000 views), is rooted, I'd like to imagine, in what it proves. Which is that the DOJ's exoneration of HSBC — a foreign bank — represented the enforcement by the DOJ of "global rules" (a term explained at length in the doc) at the expense and in derogation of U.S. law, which the DOJ violated at every turn. The video explained how the outcome of the case reflected a coup d'etat in the U.S., and predicted — correctly — that the DOJ's active participation in criminality would become a permanent feature of the U.S. political and legal landscape regardless of which party held the White House.

And here we are five years later, Obama's vice president is now in the Oval Office, and the DOJ is spiraling ever more out of control, unconcerned to the point of pride about its open lawlessness. You wanna know how the DOJ got so out of control? Obama's first term is a great place to start.

Below I summarize "All the Plenary's Men" before talking about what stood out about the interview and about RFK Jr.

Russia and China aren't trying to rule the world - Kremlin

putin xi sco 2022
Neither Moscow nor Beijing are seeking to rule the world - unlike some other countries, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

"In implementing their bilateral relations, Russia and China do not lay claim to ruling the whole world," he told Russia's Rossiya 1 channel on Sunday. However, "we know that some other countries have this tendency," he added.

Moscow and Beijing also have "absolute similarity" in their views regarding "all sorts of provocative actions" by the US, according to President Vladimir Putin's spokesperson. He added that both countries consider Washington's "destabilizing behavior" to be "unacceptable."

NATO's approach to Russia's borders planned years ago

Bauer

The alliance revealed plans to increase the number of prepared forces on the eastern flank to more than 300,000 soldiers in the near future.

The head of NATO's Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, stated on Saturday that NATO began planning its expansion near Russia's borders several years ago.

Earlier on Saturday, the NATO Military Committee met in Estonia, where Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Christopher Cavoli outlined to NATO member countries his strategic considerations for NATO's efforts on the eastern flank, among other things.

Bauer said at a press conference:
"We're talking about the biggest overhaul of our military structures since 1949. The planning for that started several years ago, but now we're implementing it."
NATO leaders agreed on a plan for a significant build-up of the alliance's forces at the end of June, on the eastern flank by 2023, amid Russia's military operation in Ukraine.

Comment: This suggests the Ukrainian conflict was planned as a means to dwindle Russia's war capabilities. Russia's considerable strength and loyalty with alliances was unfactored.
