The January 6 Committee has officially withdrawn its subpoena for former President Donald Trump to testify before Congress.

In a letter sent to Trump attorney David Warrington, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), Chairman of the January 6 Committee, said that the subpoena he issued to Trump back in October would no longer be pursued.
"As you may know, the Select Committee has concluded its hearings, released its final report and will very soon reach its end. In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena.

"Therefore, through this letter, I hereby formally withdraw the subpoena issued to former President Trump, and notify you that he is no longer obligated to comply or produce records in response to said subpoena. We appreciate your engagement with the Select Committee on this matter."
The former president responded to the news on his Truth Social account:

@realDonaldTrump - 17h

Was just advised that the Unselect Committee of political Thugs has withdrawn the Subpoena of me concerning the January 6th Protest of the CROOKED 2020 Presidential Election. They probably did so because they knew I did nothing wrong, or they were about to lose in Court. Perhaps the FBI's involvement in RIGGING the Election played into their decision. In any event, the Subpoena is DEAD!

Russia willing to resume gas supplies to Europe via Yamal Pipeline

Russia has said it's willing to resume natural gas supplies to Europe through the Yamal-Europe Pipeline. The Yamal-Europe Pipeline usually flows westward but has been mostly reversed after Poland turned away from buying from Russia in favor of drawing on stored gas in Germany.

TASS has cited Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak as saying:
"The European market remains relevant, as the gas shortage persists, and we have every opportunity to resume supplies. For example, the Yamal-Europe Pipeline, which was stopped for political reasons, remains unused."
Previously, state-owned gas producer Gazprom revealed that it expected to pump 43 million cubic meters of gas per day to Europe via Ukraine through Sudzha. Unfortunately, the pipeline blew up during planned maintenance work near the village of Kalinino, about 150 km (90 miles) west of the Volga city of Kazan.

To put the size of the pipeline in context, its run rate is a tiny portion of the 155 billion cubic meters of natural gas that Europe imported from Russia in 2021. Europe has managed to stockpile huge volumes of natural gas for the winter season, so much so that prices have tumbled sharply in recent months.

In response to the Twitter files, establishment media rushes to defend the FBI

The Hunter Biden laptop story shows the extent to which the corporate media has become the propaganda arm of the state.

Last week, the FBI responded to the revelations exhumed from the Twitter Files in the most predictable way imaginable: by calling the journalists who reported on them "conspiracy theorists." A decade ago, an attack like this on the free press by the federal government's top law enforcement agency might have united journalists in indignant outrage. No longer. If the Twitter Files showed the extent to which the intelligence agencies are in bed with the social media platforms, the story's reception by the mainstream press has only shown how eager the establishment media is to jump into the sheets with them. It's not just that the corporate media has abandoned the kind of adversarial journalism exemplified by the reporting on the Twitter Files; it has taken on the role of defending the state against those who continue to practice it.

Comment: A lie is as good as the media that confirms it.

For sale on eBay: A military database of fingerprints and iris scans

Seek II
© Andreas Meichsner/NYTA Secure Electronic Enrollment Kit, or SEEK II
The shoebox-shaped device, designed to capture fingerprints and perform iris scans, was listed on eBay for $149.95. A German security researcher, Matthias Marx, successfully offered $68, and when it arrived at his home in Hamburg in August, the rugged, hand-held machine contained more than what was promised in the listing.

The device's memory card held the names, nationalities, photographs, fingerprints and iris scans of 2,632 people.

Most people in the database, which was reviewed by The New York Times, were from Afghanistan and Iraq. Many were known terrorists and wanted individuals, but others appeared to be people who had worked with the U.S. government or simply been stopped at checkpoints. Metadata on the device, called a Secure Electronic Enrollment Kit, or SEEK II, revealed that it had last been used in the summer of 2012 near Kandahar, Afghanistan.

The device — a relic of the vast biometric collection system the Pentagon built in the years after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks — is a physical reminder that although the United States has moved on from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the tools built to fight them and the information they held live on in ways unintended by their creators.

Comment: Stands to reason we are all compromised beyond our control in one form or another.

Australian Senator Takes Hard Stand Against COVID Jabs

Gerard Rennick
Unknown
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • In an early-December 2022 Parliamentary speech, Gerard Rennick, senator for Queensland, Australia, reviewed some of the lies told by members of Parliament and the Department of Health about the COVID jabs
  • By September 2022 Australia had logged more than 10 million COVID-19 cases, even though 20 million of Australia's total population of 26 million had received their COVID jabs
  • In 2021, Australia had 8,706 extra deaths above norm, even though New South Wales remained in lockdown for three months, so, in theory, the death toll should have been lower, not higher
  • Australia has logged 140,000 COVID jab injuries — more than all the injuries reported from vaccines since 1971 — yet the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) refuses to look at or acknowledge the safety signal. Chief health officers also admit not reading key science documents that detail COVID jab hazards
  • Waning effectiveness is the justification for repeated boosters, but artificially inflated antibodies caused by repeated boosters signal to your body that you're chronically infected, and the resulting immune response may end up accelerating the development of autoimmune conditions such as Parkinson's, Kawasaki disease and multiple sclerosis

The Canadian Independent video1 above features an early-December 2022 Parliamentary speech by Gerard Rennick, senator for Queensland, Australia, and a member of the Liberal National Party.

As noted by Rennick, Australia had logged more than 10 million COVID-19 cases by September 2022, at which point the Australian Health Department stopped counting — a decision made out of embarrassment, Rennick suggests, seeing how more than half the country caught COVID despite the fact that 20 million out of Australia's total population of 26 million2 got their COVID jabs.

Rennick goes on to highlight the rising excess death rate. In 2021, Australia had 8,706 extra deaths above norm, even though New South Wales remained in lockdown for three whole months. "In theory, the deaths should have been lower, like they were in 2020," Rennick says.

Netanyahu appoints Iran hawk to lead Israel's National Security Council

Tzachi Hanegbi
Benjamin Netanyahu and Tzachi Hanegbi
Incoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week appointed a major Iran hawk to lead Israel's National Security Council under the new government.

Tzachi Hanegbi is a veteran Likud lawmaker and a longtime ally of Netanyahu who has repeatedly threatened in recent years that Israel would attack Iran if the US returns to the Iran nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA.

In his most recent threat, Hanegbi said that Netanyahu would order an attack on Iran if the US doesn't secure a new nuclear deal or doesn't take military action itself. He told Israel's Channel 12 in November that in that situation, Netanyahu "will act, in my assessment, to destroy the nuclear facilities in Iran."

Comment: Israel will have its war with Iran, and in its relentless pursuit and provocations to achieve domination of the Persian nation to its east - will end up, in all likelihood, bringing about its own destruction. See also:

Marjorie Taylor Greene says it's time to 'bomb cartels'

MTG marjorie taylor greene
On Wednesday, Marjorie Taylor Greene called out the United States' spending to protect the Ukrainian border from Russian invaders while a border crisis continues at home, calling for cartels to be "bombed."

The Georgia Congresswoman, who recently said that she wanted an audit of every single taxpayer dollar that has been sent to the Eastern European country, highlighted that "deadly fentanyl is being trafficked across the border" and the deadly effect it has had on Americans. Not Mexico or its great people, the cartels."

In a statement, Greene said that "President Trump was right. We should bomb the cartels because they are an international criminal organization murdering our people by lacing deadly fentanyl from China in drugs they illegally sell across our border to US citizens.

Republican Kari Lake avoided being found liable for hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees incurred by Arizona Governor-elect Katie Hobbs and Maricopa County after a judge rejected pleas to sanction the losing gubernatorial candidate.

Arizona Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson ruled Tuesday that Lake must pay $33,000 for the expert witnesses hired by Hobbs in defense of her Nov. 8 election victory.

However, Hobbs had asked the court Monday to award her $550,210 in attorney fees, with more than $450,000 going to top Democratic lawyer Marc Elias' law firm.

A Dem-linked dark money network is quietly funding the 'misinformation' research industry

Several funds managed by Arabella Advisors, a Democrat-linked consultant firm, are quietly bankrolling research by universities and non-profits into how online "misinformation" and "disinformation" spreads, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of the networks' grants.

Arabella Advisors, run by former Bill Clinton official Eric Kessler, manages certain administrative, legal and philanthropic functions of several non-profits including the Sixteen Thirty Fund, Hopewell Fund, North Fund and New Venture Fund, which donate to a variety of left-leaning groups, causes and Democratic candidates, according to tax filings and statements on the funds' and Arabella's websites. Several funds within the network are also sponsoring research into the effects of, and how best to mitigate, misinformation and disinformation, according to a DCNF review of public grants.

Many of the Arabella-funded research projects cite conservatives predominantly as purveyors of misinformation, with several projects recommending solutions to mitigate the spread of misinformation, including censorship.
