After all the fanfare of a Black woman (half Black) Vice President, the truth is revealed. Undecided Black Women just aren't into Kamala Harris.

It's true.

Before the debate, MSNBC correspondent Chris Jansing talked to three Black women in Atlanta who deemed themselves undecided. From the video, I'll distinguish them as Sister in the hat, Sister in the red dress, and Sister in the polka dot mask.

Jansing confirmed whether they were truly undecided about who to vote for. Sister in the polka dot mask said she would have voted weeks ago, but she just couldn't.

'Unreal': Politifact ruling on Trump claim about campaign spying sends heads CRASHING to desks

President Trump has said in the past that the Obama administration and some in the intelligence community at the time spied on his campaign, and Trump said something similar at Thursday night's debate. Politifact has again issued a ruling on that claim:

Cute and not unexpected, but who's buying that?

Comment: Outlets like Politifact don't care that they'll be called out for their lies, because enough people will be convinced without looking into it further. The lies are so egregious at this point it becomes a full time job to discern the truth. Welcome to the Post-Truth era.

On Thursday night when Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden angrily accused President Trump of a "criminal" family separation policy that had "lost track" of more than 500 migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border, he was repeating an inaccurate and misleading news report that had circulated earlier this week.

"What happened? Their kids were ripped from their arms and separated and now they cannot find over 500 sets of those parents and those kids are alone," Biden said. "Nowhere to go, nowhere to go. It's criminal."

The former vice president was likely relying on a brief report from NPR about the latest development in a lawsuit between the ACLU and the Justice Department regarding the status of children who have still not been reunited with their parents after being brought across the border illegally.

Comment: The blue checkmarks on Twitter, hundreds of them, showing their ignorance of border issues, not knowing what the term 'coyote' means (and not having the wherewithal to just look it up before directing their outrage at Trump) is actually quite hilarious! Here's a sampling:

Coronavirus was not in the top 10 leading causes of deaths in England and Wales last month
There were 2,703 excess deaths across England and Wales in September, official figures show - but coronavirus was not in the 10 leading causes of fatality.

The numbers released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), are relative to the five-year average, counting from 2015 to 2019.

The leading cause of death in September for both nations was dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

'Trust the experts' is the battle cry of America's elitists. After President Trump's shock election in 2016 showed that Americans are sick of hearing from politicians, the politicized classes adopted experts as their proxy for power. Climate change 'experts' justify AOC's radical Green New Deal with prophecies of planetary extinction. Foreign policy 'experts' claim America will destabilize the Middle East if, as Trump wants, we withdraw troops from Syria and Afghanistan. Medical 'experts' are wheeled out to justify increasing control over the lives of everyday Americans through draconian lockdowns, mask mandates and stringent travel restrictions.

Dr Scott Atlas, one of the newer members of the White House's COVID-19 task force, is not an 'expert', according to the ever-changing standards of the establishment. He has only 25 years of high-level experience, including serving as the Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center and crafting healthcare policy for over a decade. However, as his Wikipedia page condescendingly reminds us multiple times, Atlas is 'a radiologist, not a specialist in public health or infectious diseases', and thus his advice must be ignored. CDC director Robert Redfield was busted on a private phone call alleging that 'everything he says is false'. Dr Anthony Fauci said on television he is 'concerned' about Atlas, the 'outlier' of the task force, spreading misinformation. Fox News's Chris Wallace, who is also not an epidemiologist, mocked Atlas for predicting Trump would make a 'full recovery' after contracting COVID-19.

Twitter has joined the group of banshees trying to silence Atlas. The social media company blocked a post from him this week that said 'Masks work? NO', saying that it violated their policy on misinformation. Atlas says his tweet was intended to question public mask mandates, noting that they're only useful when people are unable to social-distance.

There is a solution to Big Tech censorship - but no politician will touch it

The issue of censorship by major tech companies is a precarious one, and I'm becoming increasingly suspicious of the nature of the debate. There are some complexities, but it can all be boiled down to this:

Big tech social media conglomerates argue that their websites are like any other private business and that they are protected from overt government interference by the US constitution. In other words, they have a right to platform or de-platform anyone they choose. Of course, this is the exact OPPOSITE of what most leftist groups have argued in the past when it comes to private businesses refusing to cooperate with people they disagree with on basic principle, such as LGBT activists, but let's set that hypocrisy aside for now.

Social media companies have decided that the people they want to de-platform most are conservatives, along anyone else who disagrees with hard left ideologies such as social justice or the handling of the pandemic situation. Statements or content that run contrary to leftist philosophies are simply labeled "hate speech" or "conspiracy theory" and are erased.

UK scientists confirm efficacy of AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine, day after one volunteer reported dead in Brazil

Researchers in the UK claim the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine behaves as expected in the human body, in new research released a day after Brazilian authorities announced the death of one of its trial volunteers.

In their work, the group of independent UK scientists say the vaccine accurately follows its creators' intentions once injected into the human body.

The study was conducted by several virologists unaffiliated with AstraZeneca and led by Dr. David Matthews, of the University of Bristol, and has so far been published only as a preprint, meaning it hasn't yet passed the peer-review process. It states that the vaccine accurately copies and performs the genetic instructions programmed into it by its designers.

Churches win over Colorado governor's pandemic orders

A federal judge ruled late last week in favor of two Colorado churches that challenged Gov. Jared Polis's (D) pandemic orders requiring indoor occupancy limitations and masks during worship.

U.S. District Court Judge Daniel Domenico, a Trump appointee, granted Denver Bible Church and its pastor, Robert Enyart, as well as Community Baptist Church and its pastor, Joey Rhoads, a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction.

The judge said Polis's Public Health Order 20-35 violated the churches' First Amendment right to the free exercise of religion.

Domenico wrote in his ruling:
[T]he Constitution does not allow the State to tell a congregation how large it can be when comparable secular gatherings are not so limited, or to tell a congregation that its reason for wishing to remove facial coverings is less important than a restaurant's or spa's.

Fire erupts after explosion at Iranian petrochemicals plant

An explosion caused a blaze at a petrochemicals plant in southwestern Iran on Friday, according to state media. The country has been plagued by accidents at industrial facilities in recent months.

The fire broke out at the aromatics unit of a petrochemical plant in the port city of Bandar Mahshahr, state broadcaster IRIB reported.

Firefighters from the plant as well as regional fire teams were called to the site and managed to contain the blaze. There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the incident, it added.

South Korean officials refused on Thursday to suspend a seasonal influenza inoculation effort, despite growing calls for a halt, including an appeal from a key group of doctors, after the deaths of at least 25 of those vaccinated. Health authorities said they found no direct links between the deaths and the vaccines.

At least 22 of the dead, including a 17-year-old boy, were part of a campaign to inoculate 19 million teenagers and senior citizens for free, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said.


Comment: Since when did teenagers need a vaccine for the flu?


"The number of deaths has increased, but our team sees low possibility that the deaths resulted from the shots," the agency's director, Jeong Eun-kyeong, told parliament.

The number jumped from 12 deaths reported earlier on Thursday.

None of the people who died received the recalled doses.


Leading one to believe that perhaps it wasn't due to a refrigeration problem.


During a press conference on Thursday, Choi Dae-zip, president of the Korean Medical Association, requested that the flu shot campaign be put on hold until safety concerns about the vaccine could be properly addressed.

"The number of deaths has increased, but our team sees low possibility that the deaths resulted from the shots," Jeong Eun-kyeong, director of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, said while addressing parliament. Health Minister Park Neung-hoo acknowledged that people were "concerned" about the vaccine but said that the program would continue.


And yet the director provides no alternative explanation.


A preliminary investigation into six of the deaths found no direct link to the jab they received.

Vaccine safety has become a hot button issue as governments and pharmaceutical companies rush to develop an effective coronavirus jab. Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency said on Wednesday that a volunteer who was participating in the Oxford University trials of the AstraZeneca vaccine had died of complications from Covid-19. However, the individual may have been part of a control group taking a placebo.

South Korean government to investigate spate of deaths linked to seasonal flu shots after toll rises to 30

"The authorities should thoroughly investigate the causal relationship between vaccinations and the deaths and make public the development transparently," Chung said on Friday at a meeting of the government's disaster and safety counter-measure group.

Chung's statement came after the death toll among people who recently received the vaccine more than doubled between Thursday morning and Thursday afternoon, then continued rising through the night. There were 25 deaths recorded as of 4pm Thursday, up from 12 earlier in the day, and the toll reached 30 at midnight.

Jeong Eun-kyeong, director of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), reportedly told South Korean lawmakers on Thursday that there was no direct link between the deaths and the vaccine. Of the first 25 deaths recorded, 22 involved people aged 60 or older, but a 17-year-old boy last week died two days after getting his flu shot.


It's those who are older and have comorbidities who are vulnerable to the otherwise 'harmless' coronavirus.


Chung called on the KDCA to investigate quickly provide the public with an explanation for the deaths "so that people can receive vaccination without anxiety."
It remains to be seen what has caused this apparent uptick in deaths but perhaps their attempt to avoid a 'twindemic' backfired. There could be a number of explanations, such as that perhaps rolling out greater vaccination campaigns are simply going to kill higher numbers of people; perhaps they overwhelmed the immune systems of the vulnerable; maybe there's a contraindication with this years chosen flu strain, and so on. It's also worth bearing in mind that the evidence suggests that any flu vaccine is likely to do more harm than good.
