A 25-year-old Grand Rapids man arrested in the aftermath of the U.S. Capitol riot is "not a Trumpster," his step-father said.

Andrew Hanselman spoke about his stepson Thursday, Jan. 7, the day after rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol.

He was one of six Michigan residents arrested and among 70 arrested overall by Washington D.C. Metropolitan and U.S. Capitol police inside or near the federal building, according to a report released by the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.

Comment: It's likely that many more people at the protests at the Capitol were not Trump supporters. It was a varied crowd, to say the least. It will be interesting to see if any further investigation finds anything more about the people actually doing the rioting - lets see some numbers!

ITV's 'Good Morning Britain' came under fire from viewers after it controversially asked whether Brits should receive a financial reward for turning their coronavirus rule-breaking neighbours in to the police.

"Should people be rewarded for snitching on their neighbours who break lockdown rules?" asked presenter Kate Garraway during Friday's show. Acknowledging that the UK is in "such a serious situation," Garraway added, "But should we incentivise people by giving them money?"

Viewers argued it was a "revolting proposition" and compared it to Nazi Germany and the East German Stasi's practices, with one Brit arguing that those who do snitch to the government "should be shunned by the communities in which they live."

Comment: Question rephrased: "Should the UK employ Stasi tactics in order to catch and punish people for not taking the fake pandemic seriously enough in order to further erode any last vestiges of a sense of community not already wiped out by social distancing and mask wearing?"

Two women have described how they were surrounded by police, read their rights and fined £200 each after driving five miles to take a walk.

The women were also told the hot drinks they had brought along were not allowed as they were "classed as a picnic".

Guidance for the current lockdown says people can travel for exercise as long as it is in their "local area".

The police force involved, Derbyshire Police, said driving for exercise was "not in the spirit" of lockdown.

One of the would-be walkers, Jessica Allen, assumed "someone had been murdered" when she arrived at Foremark Reservoir on Wednesday afternoon.

Comment: Thank goodness for the police. Without them, crime would be running rampant across the land and no one would be safe. We are all safer now knowing that these two criminals are not stalking the wilderness drinking lattés. Onwards into the glorious future! All hail the New Normal Order!

Like most Americans, I was absolutely horrified by the violence that I witnessed at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. I didn't understand how protesters could have possibly gotten inside the U.S. Capitol, and I didn't understand why police were slow to respond to what was happening. In the hours following the attack on the Capitol, lots of reports were going back and forth on social media. Some of the information was good, and some of the information was not. I have updated this article to reflect the latest information that we have received. The following are some questions about the chaos at the Capitol that desperately need to be answered...

Two known Antifa members posed as pro-Trump to infiltrate Capitol riot: sources

At least two known Antifa members were spotted among the throngs of pro-Trump protesters at the Capitol on Wednesday, a law enforcement source told The Post.

The Antifa members disguised themselves with pro-Trump clothing to join in the DC rioting, said the sources, who spotted the infiltrators while monitoring video coverage from the Capitol.

The infiltrators were recognized due to their participation in New York City demonstrations, and were believed to have joined in the rioting so that Trump would get blamed, the source said.

A Washington Times report initially claimed two other protesters were actually Philadelphia-based Antifa members — citing a retired military officer with access to facial recognition software — but the outlet deleted the article after the software company told Buzzfeed News that the story was "outright false."

West Virginia state lawmaker Derrick Evans has been charged with entering a restricted area of the U.S. Capitol after he livestreamed himself with rioters, the Justice Department announced Friday.

Ken Kohl, a top deputy federal prosecutor in Washington, announced the charge against Derrick Evans on a call in which he presented dozens of new charges against members of a mob that stormed the Capitol on Wednesday.

It wasn't immediately announced if Evans is in custody. Several other state lawmakers across the country traveled to Washington, D.C., for demonstrations this week but it's unknown if any other elected official joined the mob of Donald Trump supporters attacking the U.S. Capitol.

A growing number of Republicans and Democrats said they want to expel Evans from the legislature if he does not resign. His attorney, John Bryan, said late Thursday that the delegate didn't commit a crime and doesn't plan to resign.

Missouri parents' lawsuit claims school engages in 'intentional racial discrimination' against white students

Parents have filed a lawsuit against Villa Duchesne High School in Missouri, claiming the elite Catholic girls prep school has engaged in "overt and intentional racial discrimination against its Caucasian students," including their daughter.

According to the petition filed in the Circuit Court of the County of Saint Louis, the parents accuse the school of "encouraging and facilitating race-based aggression" against their daughter and attempting to force her to adopt Critical Race Theory.

Colin Wright, managing editor at Quillette, noted the case, Doe et al v. Villa Duchesne, in a tweet thread Wednesday, as did the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

What happened Wednesday at the U.S. Capitol was horrifying -- but so was Kenosha, Minneapolis, Chaz, and Portland. Joe Biden only denounces violence when it serves him politically.

President-elect Joe Biden demanded Wednesday that "just simple decency" be brought back to America after a pro-Trump, "stop the steal" peaceful protest at the U.S. Capitol devolved into a riot. A group of demonstrators stormed the Capitol while lawmakers were trapped inside. One female protester, a retired Air Force veteran, is confirmed dead.

"At this hour our democracy is under unprecedented assault unlike anything we've seen in modern times," Biden said, adding that what unfolded was "an assault on the rule of law like few times we have ever seen it."

To be clear, Americans have seen a protracted assault on the rule of law recently. We witnessed the downfall of law and order in America all summer. For months, American cities were under siege, at the mercy of Antifa and Black Lives Matter thugs. At least 30 people were killed during the BLM riots while the corporate media stood in front of burning cities, characterizing them as "peaceful protests." Yet never did Biden use the forceful language he did yesterday, calling it an "assault on the rule of law." One of those cities was Kenosha, Wisconsin, where I spent days reporting on the riots this summer.

The grieving wife of a leading Florida doctor has told DailyMail.com how her 'perfect' husband died from a mystery blood disorder - just days after getting the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.

Heidi Neckelmann says obstetrician Gregory Michael, 56 - her 'best friend' and partner of 28 years - was active, healthy and had no pre-existing conditions before getting the jab on December 18. However he died from a stroke Sunday morning after suddenly developing a rare autoimmune illness that causes the body to destroy its own platelets, the tiny fragments that help blood to clot.

Distraught Heidi, 58, thinks the groundbreaking Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine may have somehow been the trigger.
"In my mind his death was 100 percent linked to the vaccine. There is no other explanation. He was in very good health. He didn't smoke, he drank alcohol once in a while but only socially. He worked out, we had kayaks, he was a deep sea fisherman.

"They tested him for everything you can imagine afterwards, even cancer, and there was absolutely nothing else wrong with him."
Pfizer told DailyMail.com Wednesday that it was aware of Dr. Michael's 'highly unusual' death and was investigating further. However a spokesman cautioned: 'We don't believe at this time that there is any direct connection to the vaccine.'

There was a small group that was on the front line during the storming of the US Capitol on Wednesday after traitor Mike Pence stabbed Trump and America in the back.

They asked not to use their names or identifying information because they are unsure whether federal authorities will pursue them, or if they will be harassed by left-wing doxxers.

They verified their stories with video and pictures of the event. I will quote their comments as "Adam," "Bill," "Charles," and "Doug."

Most importantly they all related that the crowd was completely non-violent and the police instigated the violence against the protesters before they even got on the Capitol grounds.

Comment: Would the behavior of the Capitol Police might have been different if other law enforcement personnel had been present? Is this why Mayor Bowser refused all offers of help from the National Guard and other groups? It's clear that different tactics were used - either in sequence, or at different locations around the complex. Whether that was by design or simply ad hoc, the above descriptions are in line with police tactics against Yellow Vest protesters in France and 'populist movement suppression' elsewhere.

One thing is clear, Biden and the Democrats grandstanding about how lightly Trump supporters at the Capitol were treated compared with BLM protesters and Antifa rioters is a sick joke.
