Ukraine to censor Russian books & music in latest oppressive move against its Russian-speaking citizens

Ukraine's parliament on Sunday voted through two laws which will place severe restrictions on Russian books and music as Kyiv seeks to break many remaining cultural ties between the two countries following Moscow's invasion.

One law will forbid the printing of books by Russian citizens, unless they renounce their Russian passport and take Ukrainian citizenship. The ban will only apply to those who held Russian citizenship after the 1991 collapse of Soviet rule.

It will also ban the commercial import of books printed in Russia, Belarus, and occupied Ukrainian territory, while also requiring special permission for the import of books in Russian from any other country.

Comment: If only the Ukrainian parliament was as concerned about its neo-Nazi problem, it might not be in the mess it's in right now. Moreover, these new laws restricting the rights of its Russian speaking inhabitants are actually an addition to the numerous anti-Russian, and anti-democratic, policies Ukraine has been pursuing for many years now. It's also likely that these new laws will be rather shortlived, because Russia's deNazification of the country continues apace and soon enough much larger regions will be liberated from the rule of the corrupt government:

Disney's 'Lightyear' FLOPS in opening weekend after controversy over lesbian kiss and decision to ax conservative star Tim Allen as voice of Buzz

buzz lightyear toy story disney
'Lightyear' opened in 4,255 locations domestically and in 43 markets overseas - but 14 Muslim-majority nations banned the movie from playing in their cinemas because Disney included a lesbian kiss.
Disney's animated movie 'Lightyear' flopped in its first weekend in theaters, with the new Toy Story spin-off film earning $51.7 million in North America.

Not only did the movie open lower than expected, but it also failed to conquer 'Jurassic World: Dominion', which held on to the first-place spot with $58.7 million in its second weekend.

Expectations were high for 'Lightyear', an origin story about the movie that inspired the space ranger action figure in the 'Toy Story' movies, with some analysts pegging the movie for a $70 million North American debut. But it didn't come close to that figure.

Comment: It can generally be stated that people don't want to be preached at when sitting down to watch a movie, whether they 'support the cause' or not. Disney obviously has to learn this lesson the hard way. Get woke, go broke.

Comment: Clearly they don't need the blood that badly if they're willing to turn people away because they won't comply with ideological nonsense.

A top military general, Lieutenant General Anil Puri, told NDTV news channel that the aim of the plan was to make the military more modern and effective.
