WADA suspends Moscow anti-doping lab over data manipulation that Russians say were accessed from abroad

The World Anti-Doping Agency has officially suspended the Russian national laboratory, rejecting the claims by Russian experts that data tampering originated with former staffers who fled to the US as 'whistleblowers.'

The National Anti-Doping Laboratory of Moscow was suspended on Wednesday with immediate effect, by the decision of WADA Executive Committee chair Witold Bańka - a Polish athlete turned politician - and following the recommendations of the Laboratory Expert Group.

WADA suspended the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) in December and banned the country's athletes from competing in the Olympics and international events for the next four years, citing "discovery... of manipulation of some of the data extracted from the Moscow Laboratory in January 2019," which therefore violated RUSADA's 2018 reinstatement.

Manhunt underway in Seattle after shooting kills 1, injures at least 6 others

Authorities in Seattle are searching for suspects after one person was gunned down and at least six others were wounded outside a McDonald's on Wednesday evening

More than a dozen police cruisers and ambulances responded to the scene in downtown Seattle at around 5 p.m. local time amid reports of shots fired and multiple victims down. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while six others were transported to the nearby Harborview Medical Center with injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The victims suffered injuries to the legs, abdomen and buttocks. Among the wounded was a 55-year-old woman in critical condition who had to undergo surgery and a 9-year-old boy in serious condition, according to a spokesperson for Harborview Medical Center, who said a total of seven victims from the incident were admitted. One patient was treated and released.

It's unclear why there was a discrepancy between police and the hospital in the number of injured, but police said someone may have transported themselves.

Historian slams Greta Thunberg: "I don't see her in Beijing or Delhi"

Why are the biggest polluters being ignored?
niall Ferguson
Historian Niall Ferguson has slammed Greta Thunberg's climate change hypocrisy at Davos, asking why "I don't see her in Beijing or Delhi."

Teenage environmentalist Thunberg gave another hysterical speech at the global confab yesterday in which she claimed, "Our house is still on fire. Your inaction is fueling the flames by the hour. We are still telling you to panic, and to act as if you loved your children above all else."

"We don't want these things done in 2050, 2030, or even 2021," Thunberg said. "We want this done now."

Ferguson, Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, questioned why Thunberg isn't directing her message to the biggest polluters on the planet.

Comment: Indeed. 'Global warming' - much like other Western issues; 'Russian-meddling', for another example - primarily concerns internal Western politics. Specifically, maintaining the current 'order of things' through the current global 'transition'. Neither the US stewards of empire nor the Davos set want to see Western countries 'straying' and strategically realigning with Russia/China/others. So the herd is corralled with myths about how they can 'save the planet' by remaining invested in supporting the status quo. The real value of these myths will become apparent as the climate becomes even more extreme and people look to their govts to 'fix' it (which they won't because they can't stop what's coming).

Idaho joins movement to prevent transgender athletes from competing against girls

A lawmaker in Idaho is joining legislators in crafting legislation to protect female athletes from having to compete against biological males in school sports.

Republican State Representative Barbara Ehardt told a local news outlet that she will introduce the bill that requires individuals to compete in women's sports based on their biological sex not their gender identity.

"Boys and men will not be able to take the place of girls and women in sports because it's not fair. We cannot physically compete against boys and men. The inherent biological, scientific advantages that boys and men have over girls and women, even if they were to take hormones, even if they were to spend a couple of years on estrogen, that's not going to replace the inherent biological advantages that boys and men have," Ehardt told EastIdahoNews.com.

Biological male MMA fighter who broke a woman's skull, twice, named "bravest athlete in history"

fallon fox trans MMA fighter
MMA fighter Fallon Fox, who twice broke an opponent's skull to win a match, has been called the bravest athlete in history. Fox, a male to female transgender athlete, destroyed Erika Newsome in a Coral Gables, FL, MMA fight during which she "secured a grip on Newsome's head... With her hands gripping the back of Newsome's skull, she delivered a massive knee, bringing her leg up while pulling her opponent's head down. The blow landed on Newsome's chin and dropped her, unconscious, face-first on the mat." That was Newsome's last pro fight.

Comment: Remember back when a man beating a woman senseless and breaking her skull was considered a crime? Now it's considered so brave that awards should be given. This is what progress looks like, bigot.

Douglas Murray: Terrifying our children with doom mongering propaganda on climate change is nothing less than abuse

eco anxiety depressed kid
Have your children got eco-anxiety? How would you know if they had?

According to a variety of psychologists and psychiatrists, talk of a 'climate crisis' has led to an upsurge in young people reporting feelings of anxiety, helplessness and guilt.

The symptoms of this newly coined syndrome are real enough, according to the Royal College of Psychiatrists - and why wouldn't they be in a world pumped full of one-sided propaganda?

We saw this over Christmas when Channel 4 screened a special edition of Gogglebox called Gogglesprogs, which featured viewers as young as six.

Comment: It's similar to any child growing up in the 70s' and 80s' with the constant threat of nuclear annihilation looming over their heads, although certainly the propaganda seems to have been ramped up significantly in this new iteration. There's clearly an advantage to raising generations with the constant fear that ultimate destruction is right around the corner. The more a population lives in fear, the more easy they are to control.

#MeToo setback: French court finds assault accuser guilty of defamation

French author Ariane Fornia has been found guilty of defamation, after a former government minister challenged her claim of sexual assault. The verdict is another blow for the #MeToo movement in France.

A Paris court ordered Fornia, the daughter of former minister Eric Besson, to pay a symbolic one euro in damages and 3,000 euros in legal fees to Pierre Joxe, a former socialist minister who Fornia defamed with an allegation of sexual assault.

In 2017, Fornia accused Joxe - now 85 - of sexually assaulting her during an opera performance in Paris seven years earlier. She did not make an official complaint, but wrote about the encounter in a blog post, describing how "He slides his hand inside my thigh, goes up to my crotch...I utter a cry of muffled indignation. Ten minutes later, he starts again."

A U.S. drone strike earlier this month in the western Afghan province of Herat that apparently targeted a militant group also killed at least 10 civilians, including three women and three children, an Afghan rights official and a council member said on January 22.

The Afghan official said the strike took place in the district of Shindand on January 8. Five other civilians, including two children, were wounded, said the official, who is on Afghanistan's Human Rights Commission. He was speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to reporters.

The Afghan military and U.S.-led forces did not immediately comment. But provincial council member Wakil Ahmad Karokhi said the strike also killed 16 militants from a Taliban splinter group, including its commander, known as Mullah Nangyalia.

A Florida man who co-workers said holds anti-government beliefs is accused of fatally stabbing his pro-President Trump boss during an argument at a construction site, an arrest affidavit said.

Mason Trever Toney, 28, was arrested Monday on a first-degree murder charge in the killing of William Steven Knight, according to an Orange County Sheriff's Office arrest affidavit.

The affidavit said deputies were called to the work site along Florida's Turnpike near Orlando around 10:30 a.m. and found the 28-year-old Knight lying dead next to an excavator with an American flag thrown on the side of his body.

Multiple co-workers told deputies that Toney and Knight were friends outside of work and were traveling from one work site to another when they got into an argument, the affidavit said. The co-workers said Knight was pro-Trump, while Toney is anti-government and "very out spoken about his beliefs that the government is bad and out to get him," the affidavit said.

The co-workers said they had started working at the site when they heard Knight yelling for help, ran over and saw Toney stabbing Knight repeatedly with a trowel, the affidavit said.

Ukrainian monitors record 137 episodes of violence, confrontation by ultraright groups

Ukrain nazis Azov
There were 137 recorded incidents of confrontation and violence committed by ultraright groups in Ukraine over a one-year period from October 14, 2018, a monitoring report by a Ukrainian public advocacy organization stated.

Conducted by the Kyiv-based Institute Respublica and financed by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in Germany, the report on January 20 stated that most acts of violence and confrontation during the one-year period were committed by two groups: C14 and National Corps.

Forty such cases were attributed to C14, of which 25 were "of a violent nature," including 10 violent incidents toward people.

Thirty episodes were attributed to National Corps, the political wing of the far-right Azov movement, of which 21 were of a violent nature, including 15 toward people.

According to Oksana Dutchak, Institute Respublica's resident sociologist, the group documented 48 cases of a "confrontational nature" and 89 incidents of violence toward people or property.

The most incidents of violence and confrontation -- 23 -- were recorded in November 2018.

There were 14 incidents of violence committed against feminist or lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender activists; 13 against political party members; 12 against representatives of state or law enforcement institutions; four against journalists; four against business representatives; three against artists; and two against ethnic minorities or migrants.

"Ultraright violence continues to be systematic, regular and, with very rare exceptions, committed with impunity," Maksym Butkevych, a human rights activist and coordinator of the Without Borders project, told RFE/RL. "Impunity encourages a continuance of violent practices; it 'beckons' those who resort to violence...to do it again."

Comment: By supporting the Maidan coup, the West collectively supported these same extremists. It doesn't really matter which country it is - the U.S. will support psychopaths and terrorists as long as they want what the U.S. wants.
