Conservatism may have found an unlikely savior in Kanye West, even if he doesn't take the White House this fall

Rap superstar Kanye West seems determined to run for president. Whether he succeeds or fails, his bravery and outspokenness may turn a new generation to conservative thought.

To say that Kanye West is a polarizing figure is an understatement. Even among conservatives such as myself, it's hard to really get a read on him. Some people seem to think that there shouldn't be any worship of a celebrity, whereas others see him as a blessing in disguise. I think the latter.

I believe conservatism as a political philosophy is in trouble because conservatives are losing the culture war. Generally speaking, conservatives do not do very well when it comes to culture, because many don't have the mindset to have an effect. A lot of artists get immersed in a "screw you, got mine" school of thought when it comes to their art and its success, complete political pandering or self-absorbed nonsense.

Kanye seems to understand something. Aside from a self-awareness that he is one of the greatest rappers to walk the planet, he understands the importance of community. He's also honest about the things that harm the black community and the family structure. Take his recent speech on abortion for example. Was it a nuanced observation, taking the science into account and made with spellbinding reason? No, it was an emotional tale of how life is a precious thing, which is more impactful.

Backlash after NYT columnist says Republican voters would rather burn 'entire neighborhood' than rent room to non-whites

New York Times columnist Wajahat Ali has faced backlash after he said that, if given a choice between having a non-white tenant or burning their house down, GOP voters would rather set fire to the whole area.

Ali, who is the Times' contributing op-ed writer and was formerly a CNN commentator, raised quite a few eyebrows when he tweeted the claim on Sunday.

"I hope people realize that there are many white Republican voters in this country if they're given a choice between renting a room in their house to a person of color or burning down the house, they will elect to burn down the entire neighborhood," he tweeted.

The journalist argued that such sentiment is quite common among caucasian Republicans, adding: "It's not just a small fringe."

Gearing up for imminent ICC probe: 'Israel' drafts list of hundreds of Israeli war criminals

The occupation state is drawing up a secret list of military and intelligence officials who may be subject to arrest abroad over war crimes they committed against Palestinians if the International Criminal Court in the Hague opens an investigation [of] their crimes, according to Israeli media.

The list includes between 200 and 300 Israeli officials, some of whom have not been informed, reported Haaretz. The mere disclosure of the list's existence could be considered a recognition of committing the crimes and consequently would endanger the suspects on it, according to the Israeli newspaper.

However, it likely includes some of the Israeli top leaders, especially those involved in the 2014 aggression on Gaza, resulting in the murder of 2,147 civilian Palestinians, among them would be PM Benjamin Netanyahu; War Minister Benny Gantz, who was then at the helm of the Israeli occupation forces; then-war minister and current opposition MK Moshe Ya'alon, and current IOF chief Aviv Kohavi, who was then head of Military Intelligence.

Former defense ministers Avigdor Liberman and Naftali Bennett, heads of the opposition Yisrael Beytenu and Yamina parties, respectively, may also be on the list, along with former and current heads of the Shin Bet security service and other, lower ranking officers.

Comment: Israeli transparency seems to be wearing 'thinner' these days!

Iran executes man convicted of giving US information on Soleimani

Iran's judiciary says the country has executed a man convicted of providing information to the United States and Israel about a top Iranian commander later killed by a U.S. drone strike in Iraq.

"Mahmud Musavi-Majd's sentence was carried out on Monday morning over the charge of espionage so that the case of his betrayal to his country will be closed forever," the judiciary's Mizan Online website reported on July 20.

Iranian authorities in June said Musavi-Majd passed on information about the whereabouts of Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps' (IRGC) elite Quds Force, who was killed in a U.S. air strike near Baghdad in January.

The judiciary said last month that Musavi-Majd's death sentence had been upheld by the Supreme Court and would be carried out "soon."

The execution came a day after three men linked to anti-government protests last November received stays from the death penalty amid a massive social-media campaign calling for Iran to halt state executions.

With shots in the air, shouts for "El Mencho" and a narco-corrido at the end, hitmen from the New Generation Jalisco Cartel (CJNG) in military camouflage, boasted an arsenal of dozens of long weapons and armored vehicles.

In a video that began to circulate on social networks, at least 20 vehicles appear, including all-terrain vans, Suburbans, Jeeps, and others that simulate those of stock transport companies, all of them armored.

Comment: Whether AMLO has dealt with the cartel presence or not, these criminal organizations did not sprout overnight. They are insulated and formidable with a long history and record to prove it.

UK woman treated with hormone blockers to reassign gender as a teenager sues NHS: 'I should have been told to wait'

keira bell detransition lawsuit NHS
Keira Bell says she is 'trying to focus on changing the system for the better'
Keira Bell believes her transitioning process was rushed and the NHS should have "paid more attention" to her biological sex.

A woman who was treated with hormone blockers to reassign her gender as a teenager is taking the NHS to court, saying she "should have been told to wait".

Keira Bell said the care she received for gender dysphoria, a condition where a person experiences distress due to a mismatch between their biological sex and their gender identity, steered her towards medical treatment.

Ms Bell, who used to identify as a boy, was 15 when she went to the Tavistock Centre in London. She said after "roughly three sessions" she started receiving hormone blockers.

Eight years later, and after undergoing surgery, Ms Bell is de-transitioning to return to a woman.

Former child stars reveal sex abuse, emotional trauma of Hollywood

For Todd Bridges, it all started with "Sanford and Son." Recalling the acerbic comedy about a junk dealer and his offspring, the San Francisco native told The Post: "I wanted to be like Redd Foxx. I wanted to be on television."

He got what he desired at age 13, starring as big brother Willis Jackson on the class-conscious sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes." which ran from 1978 to 1986. But like most former child actors profiled in the new documentary "Showbiz Kids," premiering Tuesday on HBO, he also got more than he bargained for — and not in a good way.

Following commercial work that included the first Parkay margarine commercial, Bridges landed the "Strokes" gig. But he also had to deal with the consequences of money-stealing team members, a sexually aggressive publicist and systemic racism: "I had a gun pulled on my head when I was 12 — an officer told me that my bike was stolen."

From NBC News:

Suspect in shooting death of federal judge's son is found dead, believed to be attorney

July 20, 2020, 7:20 PM CEST
By Jonathan Dienst, Brian Thompson and Joe Valiquette

The man's body was found in the Sullivan County town of Rockland, near Liberty, which is in the New York Catskills.

Authorities believe an attorney found dead in New York Monday was the shooter who killed a New Jersey federal judge's son and wounded her husband, law enforcement sources with knowledge told NBC New York.

The man's body was found the town of Rockland, in the Catskills. A senior law enforcement official said the FBI and police were investigating whether the man died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds and whether a gun found at the scene was the one used to kill Judge Esther Salas' son and wound her husband.

No other details on the man were immediately available.

Salas' son and husband were shot at their home in New Brunswick around 5 p.m. Sunday. The 20-year-old son later died, while the husband was critically wounded. [...]

The FBI, U.S. Marshals, New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General are all investigating, and the FBI had tweeted it was looking for "one subject" in the shooting. It's not clear what led authorities to the location in Liberty where the suspect was found dead.
Obviously, just because the media is saying that this was the suspect doesn't mean that he was the perp who riddled the judge's home.

And remember, they knocked off 18 witnesses during the Dutroux trial (in tiny Belgium), so they are likely many more bodies to pile up in the Epstein/Maxwell case(s)...

Canada: Father who believes COVID-19 is a 'scamdemic' loses custody of child

Watching people fighting against having to wear masks or otherwise abide by legitimate public health guidelines and you have to wonder about their poor children.

Who's protecting them from this insanity?

Well, at least Ontario's family court is taking a dim view of separated parents who aren't acting in the best interests of their kids. In the latest case, a Toronto mother has won interim sole custody of her child — and $16,500 in legal costs — after a judge issued a scathing ruling against the father for dismissing COVID-19 as a "scamdemic."

Comment: Apparently totalitarian state control is no joke either. If you don't follow the inane, unscientific and farcical rules, you'll have your kids taken away from you. Freedom-loving Canada at its best - always looking for a reason to take your kids away.
