Google drops mask, vaccine requirements for employees

Google will no longer mandate COVID-19 vaccines as a condition of employment for US workers and won't require already vaccinated workers to wear masks, get tested or socially distance while working in most offices, as reported earlier Wednesday by CNBC.

Masking and distancing rules for vaccinated workers will be dropped in offices in line with local COVID guidance and requirements, but CNBC reported unvaccinated employees who are approved to enter offices will still need to follow testing and mask-wearing regulations. Unvaccinated workers will otherwise not be able to access Google offices.

Comment: Imagine if you got the vaccine solely to keep your job at Google. You'd be pretty upset right now.

Best of the Web: Did Trudeau back down from Emergencies Act because banks were screaming about massive withdrawals?

trudeau tweet
Based upon reliable sources, Trudeau has been forced to abandon his Emergency Act as a staggering amount of money has fled Canadian banks. Canadians have moved accounts to the United States by the tens of thousands following Trudeau's freezing bank accounts without a court order which has even included credit cards. Canadians began withdrawing all of their money from their bank accounts with most turning to cash, others to gold, and some to BitCoin. The demand for US dollars more than tripled in the past week.

The sheer amount of money withdrawals from Canadian banks was massive. There appears to have been a 500% increase just in the previous 24 hours. This is the problem with politicians. They are simply UNQUALIFIED to make such decisions. They have no idea that freezing accounts will undermine the confidence in the banking system.

Trudeau has created a very serious crisis and just rescinding his Emergency Act is not going to make it all better. Trudeau has driven a stake through the heart of the Canadian economy and that means that international capital will be skeptical about trusting Canada as long a Trudeau is in power.

Comment: The amount of hubris needed on the part of Trudeau and his cronies to not be able to see this coming is staggering. Of course people are going to pull their money out of banks if they are suddenly made aware of the fact that their money is not safe there! And who would feel safe knowing their assets could be seized because the government doesn't like your person politics? This also explains the mysterious banking outages that were happening last week. While some tried to explain it as people who'd had their accounts frozen mistakenly reporting it as outages, it now looks like it was very likely a bank run.

Texas libtard 'teacher': 'Those conservative Christian people, they need to die. They need to get Covid and die'

A Texas middle school teacher was allegedly caught telling two other women that "conservative Christians" needed to "get COVID and die" because of their political opposition to coronavirus mandates, which she says has "impacted" the "rest of [her] life."

Radio host Dana Loesch reported that a "Colleyville Middle School teacher identified by school parents as Lisa Grimes" was captured making the remarks and that the video was "provided by a family of the school who asked to not be identified at this time."

"We have a political system that will not allow us to [inaudible] so we're vaccinating like the flu, which is, you know, get the flu vaccine if you want, but you can't — don't 'tread on me,'" the woman in the video states. "But it's too late. It would have had to have been immediate. If we had done it immediately, it'd already be gone. That's what's frustrating. The rest of my life is impacted because of politics? Because of conservative Christian crap? I'm telling you, those conservative Christian people, they need to die. They need to get COVID and die."

Comment: And there you have the shapers of 'tomorrow's leaders'. Heaven help us.

Taiwan finally dropping zero-Covid policy, will begin relaxing lockdown restrictions in March

Taiwan
© APTaiwan imposed tighter restrictions last year after a surge in cases.
Taiwan announced plans on Thursday to reopen to business travellers and shorten quarantine for all arrivals, slightly loosening restrictions in one of the few places alongside mainland China still pursuing a zero-Covid strategy.

The island was hailed for keeping Covid-19 at bay for the first year of the pandemic, but an outbreak detected last April forced Taipei to implement economically painful restrictions.

That included banning all foreign visitors, with the exception of a few categories such as residency holders and diplomats, since a surge in local infections last May.

Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Centre (CECC) said Thursday restrictions would start to be eased for foreigners coming in for business purposes, including inspection, investment, employment or fulfilling contractual obligations.

"We will open to foreign businesspeople starting March 7 in line with some relaxations in the overall pandemic prevention measures," said Chen Tsung-yen, deputy head of the CECC.

US-Saudi war on Yemen has killed 377,000 people, 70% of those were children under 5 years old

yemen airstrike saudi
© UN OCHA / Philippe KropfThe aftermath of a US-backed Saudi airstrike in Sa'ada Yemen in August 2015. An estimated 377,000 Yemenis have died in the US-Saudi war on their country, and roughly 70% of deaths were children under age 5, according to a comprehensive United Nations report.
The death toll of the US-UK-Saudi-Emirati war on Yemen is estimated to be at least 377,000 individuals, as of the end of 2021.

More than two-thirds of these Yemenis killed were likely children.

These statistics come from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which reported in November that the number of deaths by direct and indirect causes in Yemen was projected to surpass 377,000 by the end of 2021.

Comment: The Washington Post reports that UN figures show that up to 13 million Yemenis face the risk of starvation due to various war crimes the West is facilitating, from the bombing of facilities to embargoes:
The head of the U.N. food agency has warned that 13 million Yemenis are headed for starvation due to a protracted civil conflict and a lack of funding for humanitarian aid.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, David Beasley said that Yemen was "in a very bad situation" with more than 40 percent of the population already relying on food supplies from the World Food Program.

"We're feeding 13 million people out of a nation of 30 million people, and we are running out of money," Beasley said, speaking from the capital, Sanaa.

Since the pandemic hit, more people have been facing the threat of starvation globally, which put tremendous pressures on the WFP, Beasley said. Now, 285 million people around the world face the threat of starvation, which makes it more difficult to attend to Yemen's needs, he added.

David Beasley, the head of the U.N. food agency, warned that 13 million Yemenis are headed for starvation due to a protracted civil conflict and a lack of funding for humanitarian aid. In an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2022, Beasley said that Yemen had more than 40 percent of the population already relying on food supplies from the World Food Program.
"We've got twice the number of people struggling around the world now," Beasley said. "So, what am I gonna do for the children in Yemen? Steal it from the children in Ethiopia, or Afghanistan, or Nigeria or in Syria? That's not right," he added.

Note that Ethiopia, Afghanistan and Syria (possibly even Nigeria) are suffering in large part because of Western hybrid war attacks; in Afghanistan the US just stole $7 billion of national funds and are blocking aid deliveries; in Syria the US was recently accused of sending them contaminated food supplies that threaten the crops that they weren't able to firebomb; and in Ethiopia the West has been actively destabilising the country in the hopes of fomenting a coup.

And yet the mainstream media want us to believe that it's Russia that's the bad guy?

Beasley said his agency was forced to cut rations in half for eight million Yemenis due to the shortage of funds.

"We may be cutting those down to zero. What do you think will happen? people will die. It will be catastrophic," he said.

According to the UN food agency, around 811 million people do not have enough food across the globe, and and estimated 45 million people in 43 countries are at risk of famine.

Beasley said the WFP needs an extra 9 billion dollars to meet the rising demand for food aid around the world.

"The $430 trillion worth of wealth in the world today, there should not be a single child dying anywhere on earth," he contended.

Yemen has been fighting a civil war since 2014, when Iran-backed Houthi rebels took control of the capital of Sanaa and much of the northern part of the country, forcing the government of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi to flee to the south, then to Saudi Arabia.

A Saudi-led coalition entered the war in March 2015, backed by the United States, to try to restore Hadi and his internationally recognized government to power. Despite a relentless air campaign and ground fighting, the war has deteriorated largely into a stalemate and caused a humanitarian crisis. The U.S. has since suspended its direct involvement in the conflict.

"In Yemen, these children and these families have paid the price long enough for the war they're in. It is time for the war to end," said Beasley. "Right now what I see is children and families begging for food."
The war on Yemen has been ongoing for at least two decades; between 2002 and 2015 the US launched 98 officially recognised drone attacks on teh country, and it's likely that's just the tip of the ice berg of US attacks on the country.

German publicly regulated health insurers, the Betriebskrankenkassen, report substantially higher vaccine adverse effects than the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, our vaccine regulatory body.

Andreas Schöfbeck, board member of BKK ProVita, one of these insurers, told Welt in the linked article that "The figures we have found are substantial and demand urgent verification."

Basically, BKK ProVita noticed anomalous diagnoses indicating adverse vaccine side effects, particularly surrounding these codes: T88.0: Infection or sepsis after vaccination; T88.1: Other complications or skin rash following vaccination; Y59.9: Complications due to vaccines or biologically active substances; and U12.9: Undesirable side effects from Covid-19 vaccines.

Meanwhile, the official PEI reports figures almost one magnitude lower.

Why Justin Trudeau's Emergencies Act should keep us up at night

trudeau invokes emergency act
Last week, however, the question was finally answered. The sturdy and tough Canadian Maple tree fell in plain sight. Its fall barely made a sound. Democracy ended overnight - with little to no fuss, and some encouragement from neighbours and friends. To deal with an old fashioned, "grease under your fingernails" workingman's protest, Trudeau, Canada's Prime Minister, invoked the Emergencies Act on the 14th of February.

Barely a week later, his party, with the support of the New Democratic Party, a Far Left organisation, ganged up to pass the measure by 185 votes to 151.

The Conservatives and Bloc Québécois voted against the use of the sweeping enforcement measures, accusing the prime minister of overreach in forcing the issue, but Trudeau turned the country to Marshall Law.

An overstatement, surely?

The Canadian government granted itself powers it did not have two weeks ago. These include the power to impose restrictions on public assembly and travel, to mobilise federal support for local and provincial police, impose fines on violations of the act, whatever that might mean in practice.

Amazon's woke Lord Of The Rings is the death rattle of social justice content

Bezos LOTR
Modern social justice in all of its forms is communism. The political left doesn't want to admit it openly, but there is no way around it and there is no debate. Some would call it "cultural Marxism," but the bottom line is that there is no such thing as a legitimate social justice movement in the west because by law all people regardless of their ethnic circumstances are equally protected. You could say that SJWs are rebels without a cause, but I would point out that "social justice" is not their real cause. They aren't really interested in equality, they are interested in control.

There is a classic playbook for communist sabotage of a target society, and one of the first tactics is always the destruction of that society's history and symbols. When Mao Zedong announced the birth of the "Cultural Revolution" in China in 1966, his goal was to disrupt growing discontent among the Chinese people with the broken promises of the communist regime. Only 8 years earlier in 1958 Mao had initiated the "Great Leap Forward," which was a purge of his political opponents as well as a massive population reduction program that used food as a weapon. After the deaths of over 65 million Chinese citizens, Mao sought to redirect public anger by scapegoating a supposed conspiracy of "capitalists and imperialists."

The Cultural Revolution was essentially a nationwide witch hunt spearheaded by rabid and ignorant children; people easy for the government to manipulate and exploit. They scoured their own towns and cities as spies and enforcers for the CCP, looking for any signs that their neighbors were part of the conspiracy to disrupt the communist collective. They held tribunals and struggle sessions where anyone who said the wrong thing or who angered the wrong person was publicly humiliated or even murdered as "insurrectionists" by a mob of communist zealots.

UK ignored 'sex for aid' scandal victims - watchdog

The UK government has failed to listen to victims of "sex for aid" scandals despite its efforts to address abuse in the humanitarian sector, an independent watchdog has said.

The report, released on Thursday by the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI), claims that the "top-down" approach taken by government officials falls short of what is required, because recipients of aid are not listened to and might remain reluctant to report abusive behavior.

ICAI said the UK "has played an important role in galvanising international action on protecting people from sexual exploitation and abuse in humanitarian crises," but its commissioner Sir Hugh Bayley criticized officials for the system used.
