At least 18 people were injured after shots were fired inside Club Q (pictured last night) in Colorado Springs just before midnight, a police spokesperson has confirmed
At least five people were killed and another 18 were injured in a shooting late Saturday at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs.

The suspected shooter, 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich, is in custody, the chief of the Colorado Spring Police Department, Adrian Vasquez, said at a news conference Sunday morning. Aldrich immediately began shooting when he entered the club about 11.55pm Saturday, and at least two patrons quickly confronted him and subdued him, Vazquez said. "We owe them a great debt of thanks," he said.

The motive for the attack was not immediately clear. Whether or not it was a hate crime is part of the investigation into the attack, Vasquez said.

Joe Biden issued a statement on Sunday in which the president said "we must drive out the inequities that contribute to violence against" the LGBTQ community.

Another protester, Charlotte, said inequalities are increasing in France at an unprecedented rate.
Yellow vest protesters have clashed with riot police in Paris, as the French anti-government movement marked its fourth anniversary, protesting host of issues, including high cost of living.

Demonstrators gathered in Place de la Bourse on Saturday and marched towards Place Anne-Marie Carriere, as "yellow vest" protests against the government of President Emmanuel Macron took place across the country.

Over the past three months, French major trade unions have staged several mass demonstrations in Paris and hundreds of other locations across France to call for higher salaries amid soaring cost of living.

Massive anti-imperialist rallies in Greece commemorate Athens Polytechnic uprising of 1973 that ousted US-backed military junta

A students' strike that started in Athens Polytechnic on November 14, 1973, escalated to an open revolt against the US-backed Greek military junta and ended in bloodshed in the early morning of November 17 following a series of events that started with a tank crashing through the gates of the Polytechnic building

People across Greece marked the 49th anniversary of the Athens Polytechnic uprising of 1973 by organizing massive anti-imperialist demonstrations on Thursday, November 17. Tens of thousands of people, including members of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), All Workers Militant Front (PAME), Students' Struggle Front (MAS), and Hellenic Committee for International Detente and Peace (EEDYE), among others, marched in Athens and other cities. The marchers paid tribute to the fallen victims of the police repression of those who rose up against the US-backed right-wing military junta ruling Greece at the time. In Athens, demonstrators marched to the American embassy, chanting anti-imperialist slogans and raising banners against US imperialism and NATO expansionism.

Comment: That law which prohibits police from entering the university campus is rather symbolic, especially considering the events of 1973, and it's perhaps no surprise that the current government - which hosted Ukraine's Zelensky and his Nazi sidekick recently - is looking to overturn that law:

The end of the retail industry as we know it today

stores shut
Will this be the last "somewhat normal" holiday season for U.S. retailers? Normally, the holiday season is the most profitable time of the year for our retailers, but it has become clear that holiday spending is going to be way down in 2022. Meanwhile, there are a couple of long-term trends that won't be going away any time soon that are squeezing the life out of the industry from both sides. If those long-term trends cannot be reversed, we will soon see a lot more decaying buildings with boarded up windows where thriving retail establishments once existed. The health of the retail industry is critical to the health of the overall U.S. economy, and right now the outlook for the future of the industry is not good.

Earlier today, I came across a brand new survey that discovered that more than a third of all Americans "plan to spend less on holiday shopping in 2022"...
As inflation forces consumers to spend more on gas and groceries, about 1 in 3 Americans (34%) plan to spend less on holiday shopping in 2022 than they did last year, according to a new Clever Real Estate poll of 1,000 Americans.

Retailers have taken notice, hosting holiday sales earlier than normal and ratcheting up discounts to move merchandise. Stores want to draw attention to deals now before Americans decide to cut back further on nonessential spending — especially when 58% of the country already reports feeling worried about finances.

Canadian doctor says College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario suggests unvaccinated patients are mentally ill and should be put on psych meds

Dr. William Makis
Dr. William Makis
Doctors in Ontario are reportedly being advised to consider using psychiatric medicines on patients who refuse the vaccine.

During an interview at 'Let Freedom Reign Tour,' Physician and Cancer Researcher Dr. William Makis claimed that the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario sent out a note to doctors implying that their unvaccinated patients may be suffering from a mental illness and should be prescribed psychiatric medicine.

"So this has come out recently out of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The college sent out a letter or a memo to all the doctors in Ontario suggesting to them now, so far, they're not mandating it, they're just suggesting it, that any of their unvaccinated patients, that they should consider that they have a mental problem and that they should be put on psychiatric medication. So far, it's just a suggestion," Dr. Makis told Lynn Tyler Thompson.

Comment: This always seemed like the logical next step. Anyone who pushes back against mass vaccination campaigns must be crazy, and crazy people need to be medicated. It may only be a 'suggestion' for now, but it's only a matter of time before the next vaccine push comes into full swing. What then?

Ban on choral singing based on flawed evidence, study suggests

Misguided risk analysis lay behind pandemic ruling, paper says.

A NEW scientific study suggests that the ban on choral singing which operated throughout the pandemic was based on flawed evidence and a misguided risk analysis.

The ban arose out of reports in the United States in March 2020 that 52 of 61 singers who attended a rehearsal of the Skagit Valley Chorale, in Mount Vernon, Washington, had subsequently contracted Covid. The source was judged to have been a chorister at the practice who later tested positive for the virus, and was considered the super-spreader.

Twitter Hysteria: German public TV channel compares Elon Musk to Nazi Goebbels

After Germany's "first" public television network, ARD, compared Elon Musk reducing Twitter censorship to "letting rats out of their holes", Germany's "second" public television network, ZDF, has now compared Musk to Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels! The board overseeing a southeastern Arizona county whose Republican leaders had hoped to recount all Election Day ballots is refusing to certify the results of last week's vote

The board overseeing a southeastern Arizona county whose Republican leaders had hoped to recount all Election Day ballots on Friday delayed certifying the results of last week's vote after hearing from a trio of conspiracy theorists who alleged that counting machines were not certified.

The three men, or some combination of them, have filed at least four cases raising similar claims before the Arizona Supreme Court since 2021 seeking to have the state's 2020 election results thrown out. The court has dismissed all of them for lack of evidence, waiting too long after the election was certified or asking for relief that could not be granted, in increasingly harsh language.

Comment: Au contraire, Associated Press. There's been plenty of evidence of fraud and manipulation of the Arizona vote And yet Katie Hobbs was declared governor:

Huge explosion at gas pipeline near St. Petersburg, Russia

russia explosion
The fireball was visible for miles in every direction after hitting about 14 miles east of St Petersburg, the nation's second largest city
An enormous explosion has hit one of Russia's major gas pipelines, sending flames and smoke billowing into the sky above and prompting fears it was a retribution attack for Vladimir Putin's continued invasion of Ukraine.

The fireball was visible for miles in every direction after hitting about 14 miles east of St Petersburg, the nation's second largest city and Putin's hometown.

Comment: As well as perhaps also just being the easiest target, there may be something to the attack being near Putin's hometown because Ukraine's terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge occurred on Putin's birthday.

One source said: 'Everything is automatic there, and such explosions by themselves, without external influence, are impossible.'

The blast is believed to have hit the main gas pipeline belonging to Gazprom Transgaz SPB, and could have potentially impacted up to one million people.

Maricopa County election judge speaks out on midterm voting irregularities

Maricopa County Election judge Michele Swinick fraud midterms arizona
Maricopa County Election judge Michele Swinick
No matter what the results of the midterm elections are in Arizona, Maricopa County is yet again at the center of controversy, and for a good reason.

Election judge Michele Swinick has come forward to report what she experienced in Maricopa County on Election Day. She worked Election Day as a judge at the Islamic Voting Center in Scottsdale, AZ. She reports that the center is heavily Republican, with "no party" designated voters as the second most populous demographic, followed by very few democrat voters, evidenced by the fact that she checked in very few of them on Election Day. She reports she spent the entire day checking in voters.

Swinick says that the tabulators all worked "perfectly" during the test the night before the election. The problem with scanning began immediately with the first ballots. Voters scanned their ballots between 4 and 12 times with very minimal success. Poll workers estimated about 1 in 10 ballots were being read for the first three hours of voting.
