Antifa rioters smash up Tacoma in rampage over cop driving through crowd

Antifa rioters descended on Tacoma, Washington, starting fires and trashing buildings in outrage over viral video of a police officer driving his squad car through a crowd of illegal street racers.

Videos showed numerous fires and businesses smashed up late Sunday as at least 200 people took to the streets close to where the officer had sped through a crowd the previous night, running over at least one person.

At least two police cars were damaged during the rampage as some city buildings had to be evacuated, according to the News Tribune.

A cheering mob — dressed in all black and at one point seen toting an Antifacist Action flag — was also caught on video trying to pull away the gates protecting the Pierce County Jail, chanting, "Free them all."

According to a police report, Portland Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler pepper-sprayed a person who accosted him while he was leaving a restaurant on Sunday night. This is the second time this month that Wheeler has been accosted while dining out.

Wheeler was leaving the McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House in Portland with around 8 pm Sunday night with former Mayor, and new administration hire, Sam Adams "when a person confronted him and accused him of sitting in a restaurant without wearing a mask," according to the report.

In Multnomah County, outdoor dining is allowed and Wheeler and Adams had been eating in an outdoor tent at the restaurant and that he tried to explain to the man that people in Oregon were allowed to removed their masks for dining.

Comment: Now we have a fanatical mayor setting the president that it is okay to physically assault someone if they are too close to you and not wearing a mask. Governments have already taken your ability to move, your freedom to associate with those you wish, and your ability to work. Now physical assault is becoming more accepted if you're not following the authoritarian dictates.

Legal team makes series of arguments to dismiss case, including that 2008 Epstein plea deal should shield client from prosecution

Lawyers for Ghislaine Maxwell complained on Monday that the pool of grand jurors who indicted her was not diverse enough, according to new court documents.

"The fact that Ms Maxwell herself is neither Black nor Hispanic does not deprive of her of standing to raise this challenge," the attorneys wrote in court papers, arguing that the US constitution "entitles every defendant to object to a [pool] that is not designed to represent a fair cross section of the community, whether or not the systematically excluded groups are groups to which he himself belongs".

Maxwell's purported concerns about diversity stem from the geographical circumstances surrounding her indictment.

Puerto Rico Gov. Pedro Pierluisi declared a state of emergency Sunday over a tide of violence against women, a measure local activists have demanded for years to address a scourge that continues to go largely unpunished.

The emergency declaration calls for a series of wide-ranging policies to combat femicides and other forms of violence. The executive order was hailed by advocates as an important step in addressing a long-existing issue that jumped back into the spotlight after a recent murder. Pierluisi said in a press release:
"Gender violence is a social evil, based on ignorance and attitudes that cannot have space or tolerance in the Puerto Rico that we aspire to. It is my duty and my commitment as governor to establish a STOP to gender violence and for these purposes I have declared a state of emergency."
As part of the order, a mobile app will be created to help victims request assistance and report aggressors to emergency services. Authorities will create a program to check in with women who have filed restraining orders. And the government will launch media campaigns to educate the public about gender violence.

A compliance officer will be charged with ensuring the order is followed, while a committee including local rights groups will simultaneously recommend public policy, monitor implementation, and publish progress reports.

The pair seen in the viral clip which caused so much outrage on social media have met again as the riot police officer came to the hospital to apologize to the woman whom he kicked in the stomach during protests in St. Petersburg.

A short video, made during a rally demanding the release of opposition figure Alexey Navalny on Saturday, showed a woman standing in the way of three officers in riot gear as they were escorting a detained man. "Why did you grab him?" she asked them, but instead of an answer received a harsh kick in the stomach from one of them and collapsed on the ground.


Comment: In another incident, a victim of the Moscow protest has also been offered help:
An adviser to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has offered to help a young Chechen man who was filmed fighting with OMON riot police at protests in Moscow on Saturday.

Adam Delimkhanov, an MP in Russia's State Duma, promised to look after the man if he presents himself to the authorities. A majority-Muslim republic in the south of Russia, Chechnya is well-known for its highly skilled fighters and wrestlers.
On Saturday evening, a video from Pushkinskaya Square in central Moscow was shared around the internet, depicting a young, unarmed Chechen fighting against armor-clad OMON officers. He eventually fell over and was protected from arrest by other protesters. According to Telegram channel Baza, police have already contacted the man's parents, who claimed he was in a "deranged state" when he fought law enforcement, having previously been hit over the head. "Ramzan-Hadji [Kadyrov], our padishah [leader], said he would help you with the law as soon as you show up."

Oklahoma reports one death from common influenza

Oklahoma health officials on Thursday reported the first flu-related death since the flu season began in September 2020.

According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the person who died was over the age of 65 and the case was reported in southwest Oklahoma.

Health officials said the first death was reported on Thursday.

Since the flu season began, there have been 140 flu-related hospitalizations.

Police used stun grenades to clear ultra-Orthodox rioters from the streets of Bnei Brak early Monday after a group attacked two buses, setting one on fire and completely destroying it.

The mob pulled a driver from his bus and beat him, lightly injuring him before setting the vehicle on fire.

The driver, Eyal Tzipori, told Channel 12 on Monday evening that he had feared for his life. He said he called the police, but waited half-an-hour in vain for them to arrive. He then got off the bus, was attacked, took refuge back in the vehicle, and was ultimately extricated by two paramedics.

The bus was then set alight by the mob. "I won't drive that route anymore," he said.

Comment: As most countries around the world continue aggressively enforcing lockdowns and tyrannical anti-Covid measures, people continue taking to the streets to voice their opposition.

The psychopathic elites are pushing hard to install totalitarian rule all over the world, perhaps too hard. The economy is declining and people's lives are becoming harder and more miserable because of these inhuman and illogical measures.

It may just be a matter of time before the final straw breaks the camel's back and the full rage of people is unleashed upon ruling elites.

A Texas teenager has turned his father in to the FBI for taking part in the Capitol Hill riot, and pocketed tens of thousands of dollars from liberal admirers in the process.

When Jackson Reffitt's father returned to the family home in Wylie, Texas, after the pro-Trump riot on Capitol Hill earlier this month, Jackson claimed that he warned his son to keep his mouth shut. "If you turn me in, you're a traitor," he reportedly said. "And you know what happens to traitors. Traitors get shot."

At least 21 dead, 33 injured in southern Brazil bus accident

At least 21 people were killed and 33 injured, with seven in critical condition, after a bus crashed on Monday in the southern Brazilian state of Parana, the Military Police Air Operations Battalion (BPMOA) said, according to Xinhua.

According to the BPMOA, which initially reported 10 dead and six injured, the accident occurred on a stretch of road in the municipality of Guaratuba on the coast of Parana, when the bus went off the road and overturned for reasons still unknown.

Local fire department captain Icaro Grenert explained to the press that it is not known if the accident was due to a mechanical failure.

The vehicle was carrying 54 passengers and two drivers at the time of the accident.

It had left the northern municipality of Ananindeua and was bound for the seaside resort of Camboriu on the coast of Santa Catarina state.

Twitter has announced that it will be employing "a new community-driven approach to help address misleading information" called Birdwatch which news media are comparing to the model of content moderation used by Wikipedia.

"Twitter unveiled a feature Monday meant to bolster its efforts to combat misinformation and disinformation by tapping users in a fashion similar to Wikipedia to flag potentially misleading tweets," reports NBC. "The new system allows users to discuss and provide context to tweets they believe are misleading or false. The project, titled Birdwatch, is a standalone section of Twitter that will at first only be available to a small set of users, largely on a first-come, first-served basis."
