Bashar al-Assad agrees with Donald Trump on refugees

assad
The Syrian President sees the truth and logic behind Donald Trump's immigration policy.

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo News, President Bashar al-Assad has declared his agreement with Donald Trump's views that an open-door refugee policy can necessarily lead to terrorists coming into a country like the United States.

Assad calmly addressed the interviewer and assured him that "definitely" some of the self-styled refugees are in fact terrorists. The Syrian President went on to say the following,
"Those terrorists in Syria, holding the machine gun or killing people, they (present themselves as) peaceful refugees in Europe or in the West".
When asked to provide a number of terrorists among the refugee population, President Assad said that it is impossible to know because no one declares themselves a terrorist or allows such things to be obviously advertised. However he noted that it only takes a small number of people to commit an atrocity, noting that the 9-11 attacks in the US were pulled off by merely 20 men.

Assad refused to endorse Trump's policies, saying that it is a matter for American voters. However Assad said that as the President of Syria it is his duty not to allow terrorists to emigrate under any circumstances.

This interview is a clear example of how President Assad is vastly more in touch with reality than many of Donald Trump's American and European critics.

The fact that Assad remains committed to stopping terrorists escaping Syria in order by emigrating to other countries, demonstrates his commitment to the fundamental principles of respect for the safety of other states, even those which don't respect the safety and peace of Syria.

This is the same man that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, David Cameron, Francois Holland and Angela Merkel want out, only to be replaced either by lawless anarchy, or by a terrorist inclined Jihadi despotism. After hearing Assad's most recent words, many people ought to hold their heads in utter shame.

Fake news: Report reveals biased BBC has "high dependency" on the Conservatives for statistics

bbc conservaties stats
A study by Cardiff University's School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies has revealed that the BBC has a "high dependency" on the Conservative Party for statistics. The study was used by the BBC Trust to conduct a report called 'Making Sense of Statistics', and confirmed that the Tories are responsible for three-quarters of the statistics that the BBC receives from political sources.

The BBC Trust report brings the impartiality of the BBC into question, and states that the corporation should not be so content with reporting statistics "straight from a press release". It also concluded that the BBC has failed to "go beyond the headlines".

A convoy of Russian special forces arrived in the western countryside of Palmyra on Saturday evening after traveling from the coastal city of Jableh, a military source in east Homs told Al-Masdar News.

These soldiers from the Russian special forces will be tasked with advising the newly formed 5th Legion of the Syrian Arab Army as they attempt to liberate the Hayyan Gas Fields some 40km west of Palmyra.

According to the same military source, two large convoys of Syrian Arab Army soldiers also traveled to the western countryside of Palmyra from the Latakia Governorate this weekend; these units numbered well over 1,000 personnel.

In the coming days, the Syrian Arab Army, alongside Hezbollah, will launch another massive offensive in western Palmyra in order to retake the imperative gas fields that are currently under the Islamic State's control.

Sputnik Editor-in-Chief Gives Some Sarcastic Advice to 'Dear CIA'

RT and Sputnik Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said Sunday that the Western establishment considers Russia "abnormal" by default and gave CIA some caustic advice on how to prevent Russia from being perceived as "normal" in the West.
"For the majority of the Western establishment, the idea that Russia is normal is as wild as the suggestion that the Earth is square... Everyone stopped caring about facts long ago. There is a conclusion that Russia is abnormal with all that follows. Facts have to be adjusted to fit the conclusion," Simonyan wrote in her blog.
According to the RT editor-in-chief, part of the establishment's dislike for US President Donald Trump stems from his seeming willingness to review the relationship with Russia.

Turkish army reports advance on ISIS town of Al-Bab, setting the scene for a potentially dangerous face-off with Syrian troops advancing on the town from the south.

Days after confirmation was received that the ISIS fighters in Al-Bab have been surrounded by the Syrian army from the south and the Turkish army and its Jihadi allies (the so-called "Free Syrian army") from the north, news reports confirm that pressure on the ISIS fighters in the town is growing.

The Al-Masdar news agency, which is usually highly reliable and which appears to get much of its information from sources within the Syrian army and from Hezbollah, reports that the Turkish military has captured from ISIS the Al-Shehabi Farms located at the northern flank of Al-Bab.

Russia bolsters missile defense system, can detect launches 6,000 kilometers away

That's a lot of radar.
Russia has plugged the holes in its anti-missile radar defense system. At this point, don't even bother trying to lob a missile at Moscow

When the Soviet Union collapsed, Russia's missile attack warning system became an incomplete patchwork of radars, creating serious vulnerabilities.

Not anymore. Moscow has finally completed a unified anti-missile radar defense system which covers its entire territory with advanced Voronezh radars capable of detecting enemy missile launches up to 6,000 kilometers away.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow "draws attention" to each of attempt to recruit Russian diplomats.

Attempts to recruit Russian diplomats have not ceased, and sometimes these attempts are rather off-handed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Sunday in his interview with the NTV Channel.

"Sometimes, some of our partners lose their head and decide for some reasons to punish us, as it was in the case with the 35 diplomats that were expelled by [then-] US President Barack Obama. Apparently, he tried to take it out on us for the unimaginable defeat of the democratic candidate. Attempts to approach our diplomats in order to recruit them, to make them switch to cooperative relations continue," Lavrov said, adding that sometimes such attempts happen "with undue forwardness", in the presence of the diplomats' families.

Is Obama scheming to sabotage Trump's presidency?

trump and obama
When former President Barack Obama said he was "heartened" by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In what's shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn't just staying behind in Washington. He's working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular "America First" agenda.

He's doing it through a network of leftist nonprofits led by Organizing for Action. Normally you'd expect an organization set up to support a politician and his agenda to close up shop after that candidate leaves office, but not Obama's OFA. Rather, it's gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices across the country.

US cooks up new Syrian atrocities amid Syrian talks

Saydnaya prison
Amnesty International is inextricably compromised in its stated duty to hold nations accountable for human rights violations through its direct connections with Western political interests and their use of the organization as a tool of geopolitical influence and coercion.

The report itself states clearly (emphasis added): As such, reports like its most recent titled, "Syria: Human Slaughterhouse: Mass Hangings and Extermination at Saydnaya Prison, Syria," begs belief. The report begs belief not just because of the systematic campaign of disinformation and war propaganda Amnesty International has been engaged in against Syria specifically, or the many fallacious reports it has published targeting Washington, London, and Brussels' political enemies elsewhere, but particularly because of the report's own admitted methodology.
The research for this report took place between December 2015 and December 2016. Amnesty International interviewed 31 men who were detained at Saydnaya (also spelt Sednaya) between 2011 and 2015.
