"We are going to help with the House. I think we have a really good chance. I'm working with everybody including Kevin McCarthy in taking back the House. I think we have a really good chance in doing it. Likewise, the Senate's going to be a little bit tougher."
Former US President Donald Trump believes that maintaining a good relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin is in America's national interests. He warned that the alternative will see Moscow becoming closer to China.
Speaking to Fox News on Monday, Trump claimed that "nobody was tougher on Russia" than him, while also stating that he and Putin had a "very strong" personal relationship."Frankly, getting along with Vladimir Putin is a good thing, and I got along with him very well.In the Fox interview, he also pointed the finger at the current president, Joe Biden, noting that many of today's foreign policy issues were not a topic during his tenure as leader. In particular, Trump said that Russia "never encircled Ukraine," and the US didn't need to send warships to the Taiwan Strait.
"We should be doing business with Russia. We should be getting along with Russia instead of forcing Russia to go into the hands of China. The worst thing you could do is put China and Russia together, and they're together, and they get forced together."
"Establishing the State of Washington, Douglass Commonwealth as the 51st state will make our Union stronger and more just. Washington, D.C. has a robust economy, a rich culture, and a diverse population of Americans from all walks of life who are entitled to full and equal participation in our democracy."The statement further called for Congress "to provide for a swift and orderly transition to statehood for the people of Washington, D.C."

Waters, 82, flew from Dulles International Airport to Minnesota-St. Paul International Airport on Saturday and demanded a guilty verdict for the former officer "or else."Voices in Washington added to the chorus of condemnation:
The document published by the outlet lists the "requesting organization" as the US Capitol Police and the "name of the primary protectee" as Waters, who was flying on Delta.
"Police escort In & Out" is listed as a special request on the document, which describes the "risk factor" as "moderate."
A law enforcement source with the Capitol Police told The Post on Tuesday that the request posted by the outlet was for an escort to the gate at Dulles, not for protection in Minnesota.
The official said the request is commonplace among members of Congress departing from DC — and added that he was unaware of what protection Waters got in Minneapolis, if any.
Efforts to reach Waters' office were unsuccessful early Tuesday.
Waters stood alongside demonstrators in Brooklyn Center on Sunday morning — breaking a curfew set by police — to encourage them to make their voices heard following the fatal police shooting of Daunte Wright and ahead of the closing arguments in Chauvin's trial.
"We've got to stay in the streets, and we've got to demand justice," she urged the crowd, who earlier had been chanting, "No good cops in a racist system!," "F-k your curfew!" and "No justice, no peace!"
"We're looking for a guilty verdict" in the Chauvin case, Waters said. "And if we don't, we cannot go away, we've got to get more confrontational."
House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to hold Waters accountable for her remarks and vowed that he would "bring action" if he had to.
The judge in Chauvin's murder trial also slammed Waters, saying her statements could lead to the whole case "being overturned."
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is leading the efforts on a measure to formally condemn Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) calling on protesters to "get more confrontational" if former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is acquitted of murder charges in the killing of George Floyd.Unfortunately, Waters was able to skate on the condemnation due to the Democrats' absolute majority in the House. She then crowed about it on TV:
The California Republican could force a floor vote on the measure as soon as Tuesday.
Comment: The fruits of US involvement in all of these affairs seems to be chaos creation, perhaps because that's partly the objective? And also just a reflection of the ponerized state of the US administration?
Is it any wonder Russia and China have openly stated that the US has 'lost its mind, morals and credibility'?
