Michigan parents sue school district for allegedly hiding autistic daughter's gender transition

© Fox NewsDan and Jennifer Mead filed suit after they claim to have found out their middle school daughter had been socially transitioned without their knowledge or consent, altering her name and pronouns at school.
A mother and father sued a Michigan school district on Monday, alleging that school personnel encouraged their autistic daughter's gender transition without their consent.

Represented by religious liberty nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom, Dan and Jennifer Mead filed a lawsuit against the Rockford Public School District after district employees allegedly began treating their child as a boy without their knowledge and, when confronted, tried to conceal the child's transition from them.

Shortly after the couple began working with administrators at East Rockford Middle School to address their daughter's academic struggles, she received an official autism diagnosis, the Meads told National Review. They didn't learn of their daughter's social transition until they received a performance update from a school psychologist that included a teacher assessment which used a male name and pronouns to refer to their daughter.

Comment: More from Fox News:
In May 2022, the Meads' daughter sent a message to the school counselor asking her to email her teachers and tell them to start calling her by a masculine name. Starting then, through the end of the school year a few weeks later, the counselor corresponded multiple times with Jennifer about her daughter, but allegedly failed to mention that their daughter had requested teachers use a masculine name and pronouns. When the Meads' daughter started eighth grade, they claim district employees began referring to her by the masculine name without the Meads' knowledge or consent.

"This social transition went on for several months before the Meads realized what was happening," ADF Senior Counsel and director of ADF's Center for Parental Rights Kate Anderson said. "They found out when the counselor went through to change documents, she missed one and so one went home with the male name and male pronouns."

Even though the counselor had given regular updates to Jennifer about her daughter, the district deliberately chose not to tell them about this request, they allege. They thought this information was a mistake until they realized the truth and immediately asked district employees to refrain from using the masculine name and male pronouns, which they said employees refused to comply with. When the Meads confronted the school about their actions, Anderson said district officials "just threw up their hands and said it was their policy to do so," which she said is "something we're seeing around the country."

"I think a court's going to step in and stop that because schools shouldn't be making these decisions for parents," she said. "You really see with the Meads' daughter how that [policy] affected her and they can speak to that."

Once Dan and Jennifer believed their daughter had been actively "encouraged" to hide what was going on with her from her parents, they immediately pulled her out of the district.

"This was hurting our daughter, without this critical information, we were not able to help her like we should have been able to," Jennifer said. "We know our daughter best, we love our daughter more than anyone and that was very important for us to know that, so that we could help her thrive and they were hiding this from us. This is critical information, this is life-changing information that they were keeping from us intentionally."

Journalists caught on hot mic joking about Trump being assassinated: 'Like JFK'

Two media members were heard cracking jokes over a hot mic Tuesday about former President Donald Trump being cut down by an assassin's bullet as they waited for him to appear at the federal courthouse in Washington.

The unidentified male journalists had their news cameras stationed outside the E. Barrett Prettyman US Courthouse when they started to grouse about the difficulties of getting a view of the 77-year-old 2024 Republican front-runner.

"You know what the worst part is? Even if he has his window open and he's hanging out of it, he will be on the other side of the street," one person could be heard saying on the live feed from the Associated Press.

Comment: This hardly seems offensive. It doesn't even sound like the joking was particularly anti-Trump, or calling for his assassination. It could be argued it was unprofessional, but people need to chill-out and recognize jokes are just jokes.

Texas explosion leaves at least 21 injured near Fort Worth city hall

fort worth explosion
'There was a plume of smoke seen higher than the high rises.'

An explosion in Fort Worth, Texas, Monday left nearly two dozen people injured and large pieces of a building littering the road in the heart of the city's downtown area.

At least 21 people were injured in the blast at the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel, according to a spokesperson for MedStar, which provides emergency medical services and operates ambulances in the area.

Comment: That's a pretty powerful explosion, whatever the cause.

So, why didn't the media 'spook' people by 'guessing' terrorism, if only for a few hours?

Because, when they do that, someone in the govt tells them to because they know it's terrorism because they know a guy who knows a guy who did it...

A disabled vet combed obituaries for the words 'suddenly' and 'unexpectedly' — here's what he found

Steve Connolly
Steve Connolly, a disabled Iraq War combat veteran and recovering alcoholic in Massachusetts, was horrified by the number of deaths among his friends at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings starting in 2021 after the COVID-19 vaccine rollouts. Experts said he made an astonishing data discovery that corroborates Ed Dowd and Pierre Kory's work on vaccine-induced excess deaths in all 50 states.

Steve Connolly, an Iraq War combat veteran, was horrified by all the death and dying around him — not in the Iraq killing fields, but in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings starting in 2021, after the COVID-19 vaccines rolled out.

Connolly, a 61-year-old disabled vet and retired social worker who cared for the most severe and violent mentally ill patients in Massachusetts, said the formerly routine AA meetings became scenes of more suffering and carnage than he'd ever witnessed in war or among "the worst of the worst" in mental hospitals.
"In all of my time, I've never seen this many people that I know dropping dead in this span of time," Connolly said.
Verne was in his 70s, relatively healthy and stable, Connolly said:
"coughing on a Sunday, dead on Monday." Big Rob was in his 30s, a little obese, and "died from myocarditis."
Allie was in her 30s, a heavy girl, but healthy.
"She got the jab, then had serious gallbladder issues and had it removed. She was found dead when she didn't show up for work."
A physician in AA, known as Dr. Michael, debated Connolly about the jab.
"I tried to explain it to him. He didn't believe me. Two weeks later, he got the booster. He died from a heart attack a few days later. Then they killed my friend, and I started to investigate."

We may be reaching the 'hard times create strong men' phase

In many ways, our society feels like it is heading toward the end of the world without any hope of preventing civilization from the head-on collision with doom it's currently facing.

The issues ruining our country are eerily similar to several apocalyptic novels high school students were once required to read before graduation. These stories were set in worlds that resemble our own to serve as a warning for what would come from a freedom-rich society lulled into complacency by a malevolent ruling class.

We've fallen so out of step with former generations that instead of seeing these important books on senior syllabi, our students are forced to digest works promoting the latest progressive ideologies that teach them to hate their legacy and fear their parents instead of the government.

Our greatest issue is that men don't want to be strong anymore. But why would they? The powers that control our important institutions stripped any incentive for them to stop the slow, brutal descent into chaos.

TikTok has long been accused of ruining attention spansnow but the app is under fire for destroying marriages, too.

A distraught wife has taken to Reddit to reveal that the social media app completely changed her husband's character, causing the end of the 12-year union.

The anonymous woman, aged 37, said she and her hubby were seemingly happy together before he became hooked on TikTok's "tradwife" videos.

A "tradwife" — short for a "traditional wife" — refers to a woman who has proudly eschewed a career in favor of domestic duties, such as cooking, cleaning, and child-rearing. A tradwife typically believes a working woman hurts the nuclear family, and aims to cater to her husband's every whim.

On TikTok, the "tradwife" hashtag has clocked up a whopping 296.5M views and has made unexpected stars out of several woman who show off their happy home lives.

In her Reddit post, the divorcing woman explained that her husband happened upon the videos earlier this year.

"We were not a traditional couple," she explained. "We both work, we both do chores and child care. He didn't complain about it.

Gunmen forced crew members of the TC broadcaster onto the ground
A live broadcast by Ecuadorean television station TC was interrupted by a group of armed people who forced staff to lie and sit on the floor, as shots and yelling were heard. The country's president has declared 22 gangs as terrorist organisations and said that the country is in a state of "internal armed conflict".

The people, wearing balaclavas and largely dressed in black, were seen wielding large guns and accosting huddled staffers on the live feed, which eventually cut out on Tuesday. It is unclear if any station personnel were injured.

Some of the invaders gestured at the camera and someone could be heard yelling "no police".

Reporters without shame: Top 'media rights' organization ignores rampant killings of Gaza journalists

Mohamed Abu Hatab

At the end of 2023, Reporters Without Borders (Reporters sans Frontieres, RSF), the international organization ostensibly advocating for freedom of information, released its annual report. The paper massively downplays the widespread and deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists in the Israel-Gaza war.

The report's announcement, titled, "Round-up: 45 journalists killed in the line of duty worldwide - a drop despite the tragedy in Gaza," excludes most of the Palestinian journalists killed by Israel in 2023, particularly in the past few months. It claims 16 fewer journalists were killed worldwide in 2023 than in 2022. This doesn't reflect reality.

The report claims that (as of December 1, 2023), only 13 Palestinian journalists were killed while actively reporting, noting separately that 56 journalists were killed in Gaza, "if we include journalists killed in circumstances unproven to be related to their duties."

Other sources put the overall number of Palestinian journalists killed in the enclave much higher. The UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on December 1 that 73 journalists and media workers had been killed, citing to the Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate (PJS).

Huang Moumou allegedly passed state secrets to MI6 while running an unnamed foreign consultancy...

China has announced it has detained a foreign national who was allegedly gathering sensitive data on behalf of the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). The UK has yet to comment on the allegation.

Beijing's Ministry of National Security, which oversees both intelligence and counterintelligence, said on Monday that the UK spy agency "used personnel from a third country to conduct espionage against China."

The ministry identified the alleged culprit as Huang Moumou, who is said to have headed an overseas consulting agency, but did not provide any further personal details. MI6 recruited Huang in 2015 and established an "intelligence cooperation relationship" with him, the ministry claimed.

Since then, the alleged spy has traveled to China several times at the direction of British intelligence to collect state secrets and identify personnel for MI6 to "incite rebellion," the ministry's statement read. It added that London also provided Huang with intelligence training in the UK and other places, and with special spy equipment.

The measure will be discussed as part of a new mobilization law...

Kiev is prepared to consider the possibility of slapping banking restrictions on Ukrainians who evade military service, said the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andrey Pyshny.

The Ukrainian parliament is currently working on preparing amendments to the mobilization law. President Vladimir Zelensky has told lawmakers that the military has requested up to 500,000 more troops to make up for losses on the battlefield.

A government request submitted last month would lower the age of conscription from 27 to 25 and eliminate exemptions for disabilities, among other things. Proposals have been floated to draft women as well.
