Flashback FBI cover-up: Comey's original Clinton memo released - references to "gross negligence" and felony violations were removed

comey clinton memo
Ex-FBI Director James Comey's original statement closing out the probe into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server was edited by subordinates to remove five separate references to terms like "grossly negligent" and to delete mention of evidence supporting felony and misdemeanor violations, according to copies of the full document.

Comey also originally concluded that it was "reasonably likely" that Clinton's nonsecure private server was accessed or hacked by hostile actors though there was no evidence to prove it. But that passage was also changed to the much weaker "possible," the memos show.

The full draft, with edits, leaves little doubt that Comey originally wrote on May 2, 2016 that there was evidence that Clinton and top aides may have violated both felony and misdemeanor statutes, though he did not believe he could prove intent before a jury.

"Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statute proscribing gross negligence in the handling of classified information and of the statute proscribing misdemeanor mishandling, my judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case," Comey originally penned.

That passage, however, was edited to remove the references to "gross negligence" and "misdemeanor mishandling," leaving a much more generic reference to "potential violations of the statutes."

Lindsey Graham's 'gay lifestyle' used as blackmail by Israel says investigative journalist

Israelis have compromising material on US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham's homosexual lifestyle which they are using to exploit him, an investigative journalist in Washington says.

Wayne Madsen, an author and columnist specializing in intelligence and international affairs, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Tuesday while commenting on Senator Graham's statement about the recent US-led airstrikes on Syria.

The April 14 bombing by the United States, France and the UK was a "major step backwards" for President Donald Trump, Graham said on Monday, arguing that the strike failed to weaken Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his government.

"We're becoming the chemical weapons police, we don't have a strategy about why Syria matters," Graham said of the attack, which saw British, French and American warships and fighter jets fire 105 missiles at Syrian government targets over an alleged chemical attack in Douma, Eastern Ghouta.

Comment: No doubt congress and parliaments all over the Western world are rife with suitable victims for blackmail by Israel's Mossad. One wonders just how much of the chaos we see on the world stage is down to their dark antics: Also check out SOTT radio's:

The Russian Navy has expanded its strategic capabilities by commissioning a nuclear submarine, three new warships, two helicopters and a number of home-made Kalibr cruise missiles.

"The Navy took delivery of the repaired Project 667BDRM strategic underwater missile cruiser Tula, three warships and support vessels of the auxiliary fleet, two helicopters and 46 Kalibr tactical cruise missiles," Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said Wednesday.

First commissioned in late 1980s, Tula is a Delta IV class submarine capable of carrying 16 massive Sineva intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs). With a range of over 11,000 kilometers (around 7,000 miles), the missile can deliver four nuclear warheads to its targets after being launched from Tula.

The Russian Navy has also accepted logistics support ship Elbrus built in Murmansk in northwest Russia and was looking forward to the delivery of another batch of seaborne Kalibr cruise missile, Borisov said.

Donald Trump has vowed to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un "in the coming weeks," but has warned that he'll walk away from the talks if they're not "fruitful."

Although the US president has stated that a meeting between the two leaders to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula will be a "tremendous thing for North Korea and a tremendous thing for the world," he stressed on Wednesday that the plan to sit across from Kim could still end before it begins.

"If I think that it's a meeting that is not going to be fruitful, we're not going to go," Trump said during a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, while standing alongside Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

'Nobody's tougher on Russia!' Trump refuses new sanctions after 'precision strikes' in Syria

Trump

Nobody has ever been tougher on Moscow than Donald Trump, the US President has proclaimed, promising even more sanctions if necessary and highlighting an alleged recent "severe" clash between the US and "Russian troops" in Syria.

Trump's urge to reassure the US media of his "toughness" forced him back to the podium at the end of the joint conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Florida on Wednesday.

"There has been nobody tougher on Russia than President Donald Trump," the US leader said. "With the media, no matter what I did, it is never tough enough, because that is their narrative. But Russia will tell you there has been nobody tougher than Donald Trump ... We will do sanctions as soon as they very much deserve it..." Trump added.

Russia's envoy to OPCW exposes 'eight London lies' in Skripal case

The UK's narrative in the Skripal case is a "story woven with lies," with London continuously trying to "deceive" the international community, Russia's OPCW envoy said, highlighting eight examples of such misinformation.

"We've tried to show that everything our British colleagues produce is a story woven with lies," Russia's permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Aleksandr Shulgin told reporters on Wednesday, following the organization's meeting on the Skripal case.

"And, unlike the British, who aren't used to taking responsibility for their words and unfounded accusations, we showed specific facts why we believe our British partners, to put it mildly, are 'deceiving' everyone." The official provided eight examples of UK-pushed misinformation, surrounding the March 4 events, when the former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned in the town of Salisbury

Documents show 'concerning level of coordination' between FBI, DOJ in Clinton email probe, says Rep. Meadows

Rep. Mark Meadows
Back-stabber Mark Meadows
The head of the conservative House Freedom Caucus has asked the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to take a closer look at emails and texts between demoted FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that previously had been given to Congress.

In a letter to Oversight Committee chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., claimed recently uncovered documents "suggest a concerning level of coordination between the Department of Justice and the FBI throughout crucial moments of the investigation into [Hillary] Clinton's private email server."

Meadows' claim contradicts repeated statements by former FBI Director James Comey, who has said the bureau and the DOJ did not coordinate on his July 2016 statement recommending Clinton not be charged for keeping classified information on her personal email server.

Americans waste 150,000 tons of food per day

US food waste

Americans waste nearly 150,000 tons of food per day, amounting to about one pound (422 grams) per person, and fruits and vegetables are mostly what gets tossed, said a study Wednesday.

The amount of land used annually to grow food that ends up in the garbage in the United States is 30 million acres, or seven percent of total US cropland. Some 4.2 trillion gallons of irrigation water gets wasted, too, said the report in the journal PLOS ONE.

Fruits and vegetables made up 39 percent of total food waste, followed by dairy (17 percent), meat (14 percent) and grains (12 percent).

Items least likely to be thrown out included salty snacks, table oils, egg dishes, candy and soft drinks.

Comment: There could be many causes for this extreme waste - which isn't limited to the US, and is seen in many Western countries - whether it be the way food is produced and packaged, to the lifestyle enforced upon the population, to portion sizes at home and in restaurants, and a general ignorance to the value of food itself; either way, it's clear parts of the US have reached peak decadence, a sign that it is also now in terminal decline: Also check out SOTT radio's: Behind the Headlines: Babylon, Ancient Rome and the American Empire

Moscow & Vienna have 'mature, trust-based partnership' with Austrian FM set to visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin (2nd R) and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (2nd L)

A phone conversation between Russia's Vladimir Putin and Austria's Sebastian Kurz this week highlighted Vienna's neutral, constructive approach towards Russia. The call came on the eve of FM Karin Kneissl's first visit to Moscow.

During their conversation, the Austrian Chancellor and Russian President agreed that the US-led missile strikes on Syria had "aggravated" the situation in that country, and discussed ongoing humanitarian and deconfliction efforts. Writing on Twitter after the call, Kurz said that Russia was a "superpower" and "important player" in finding a peaceful resolution on the conflict. He added that Vienna would always be open to dialogue and negotiations.

His comments come on the day before Austria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karin Kneissl, is expected in Moscow for a two-day working visit at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Kurz himself visited Moscow in February - his first trip to a non-EU country after he assumed office.

OPCW mission delayed again after UN team came under "small arms fire" in Douma

The UN vehicles carrying the OPCW inspectors is seen in The OPCW fact-finding mission to Douma has been delayed from entering the town after a UN security team came under "small arms fire." Contrary to a US claim, the watchdog made no mention of delays caused by Russia or Syria.

A group from the UN Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) tasked with surveying Douma visited two locations in the Eastern Ghouta town on April 17 before deciding to withdraw, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said in a statement on Wednesday.

At the first site, the reconnaissance team was met by a "large crowd," and "the advice provided by the UNDSS was that the team should withdraw," a statement released by the OPCW said. At the second site, the team "came under small arms fire and an explosive was detonated." One Syrian security officer was injured in a resulting firefight, according to a statement by the Russian military. It is not clear who was behind the ambush. After the incident, the security team decided to return to Damascus.

Comment: It was the FUKUS coalition who sabotaged the OPCW investigation in Syria with their illegal bombing campaign, Russia and Syria, however, did their best to facilitate it. So while the US-backed jihadi's are being shipped out of Syria on buses, it is likely there are sleeper cells and agents from a variety of countries who could be responsible; one thing is for sure, neither Syria nor Russia have reason to interfere with an OPCW investigation: Also check out SOTT radio's: Behind the Headlines: Humpty Trumpty?
