Another 'worst deal ever'? US withdrawal from crucial Open Skies treaty is done deal, Russian FM believes

Moscow thinks Washington is on the brink of pulling out from a crucial arms-control treaty it once helped develop. Reports about the move have circulated for weeks, with top US lawmakers warning of its dire ramifications.

The decision to depart from the Treaty on Open Skies "has already been taken in Washington," Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the media, citing experts "watching how the situation is developing."

"We believe that these assessments have a significant element of truth," the chief diplomat offered.
We draw nearly the same conclusions based on our contacts with the Americans and with NATO members, as well as other parties to the Open Skies Treaty.

This month is the 52nd anniversary of UK's Abortion Act, sponsored by David Steel in 1967. Steel has now been accused of child abuse cover-up.

Next Monday, April 27th is the 52nd anniversary of the coming into effect of the UK's Abortion Act (1967), the key legislation which opened up abortion on a mass scale in England, Wales, and Scotland.

The government has been celebrating early, first by imposing abortion on Northern Ireland, to which the Act never applied, and then by loosening the rules on 'do it yourself', home abortions, in the context of the Coronavirus epidemic.

A lot of things have happened since 1967 in the UK, as in other jurisdictions, which have clarified the issues at stake. The Member of Parliament who sponsored the passage of this law — it was not a government bill — later admitted that he had grossly underestimated the number of abortions that would be performed under the Act.

Comment: This shows quite clearly the failures of 'the law' when it comes to human conscience. There are many, many issues that continually degrade human beings into accepting twisted aspects of reality. The failure of nuance and the allowance of incremental injustice to compensate for the harsh realities people would rather deny are apparent among these issues.

Just when you thought its handling of the pandemic couldn't get any worse, Brussels plunges to new depths by giving countries with far fewer cases much more than those who've seen thousands die. Do they WANT Italy to break away?

When European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen issued a grovelling "heartfelt apology" to Italy on behalf of Europe last week for its lack of help at the onset of the country's Covid-19 pandemic, the gesture was accepted at face value.

But this week, as the EU announced a Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative of €37 billion that it would apparently dole out to countries hit hardest by the pandemic, there was another bodyblow for the Italians when, frankly, the nation is already on the ropes.

With a population of 60 million, more than 178,972 Covid-19 cases and 23,660 deaths so far, and an economy in crisis, Italy has been handed €2.3 billion from the fund to help it battle its economic ills.

Comment: In reading Carter's otherwise excellent article, keep in mind that the "Russian disinformation" was actually concocted by the intelligence services of the UK and US , which the Australians helped to disseminate.


Newly declassified footnotes from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz's December FBI report reveals that senior Obama officials, including members of the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane team knew the dossier compiled by a former British spy during the 2016 election was Russian disinformation to target President Donald Trump.

Further, the partially declassified footnotes reveal that those senior intelligence officials were aware of the disinformation when they included the dossier in the Obama administration's Intelligence Communities Assessment (ICA).

As important, the footnotes reveal that there had been a request to validate information collected by British spy Christopher Steele as far back as 2015, and that there was concern among members of the FBI and intelligence community about his reliability. Those concerns were brushed aside by members of the Crossfire Hurricane team in their pursuit against the Trump campaign officials, according to sources who spoke to this reporter and the footnotes.

But Bill Gates and his surrogates, GAVI & WHO, made DTP a priority for their African vaccine program. Scandinavian governments, a vaccine manufacturer (SSI) and other international funders commissioned this study by the world's leading experts on African vaccines.

The two most prominent names Drs Soren Morgensen & Peter Aaby are both vocal vaccine supporters. They were shocked when they examined years of data from a so-called "natural experiment" in Guinea Bissau where 50% of children die before age 5. In that nation half the children were vaccinated with the DTP vaccine at 3 months & the other half at 6 mos.

Comment: Western nations discontinued use of the use of DTP vaccines because of the damage it caused. How can Gates and WHO supporters continue to rely on this man and organization as humanitarian when their own scientific establishment has shown them as destroyers of life?

On the 3rd January 2020, a US drone assassinated Brigadier General Qassem Soleimani, Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps - Quds Brigade at Baghdad airport. Soleimani had come to Iraq at the request of Prime Minister Adil Abdel Mahdi following ongoing mediation between Iran and Saudi Arabia- plus a request from President Donald Trump for Iraq to convince Iran to de-escalate the high tension dominating the Middle East. Soleimani had been also appointed by the Iraqi government as a military advisor for the war on ISIS. Destiny waited for the Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandes to be present welcoming Soleimani and be assassinated as well by the US. Over 100 days have now gone by. What were the US's objectives- and what did they really achieve? Sardar (Commander) Soleimani was also leading the "Axis of the Resistance" that expands from Gaza, Beirut, Damascus, Baghdad, Tehran, to Sanaa.

Following the assassination of Soleimani, the leader of the revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei replaced him with his deputy, General Ismail Qaani. Soleimani had nominated Qaani as his substitute in case of martyrdom, a martyrdom Soleimani had aspired to for many years.

The first visit of the Iranian general Qaani was to Syria, where he met President Bashar al-Assad (on several occasions). He also visited the front line in Aleppo and Idlib (the city hosting "the largest Al Qaeda safe haven since 9/11"), and met with field commanders to have a sense of the terrain where his officers and allies are deployed, ready to re-take the M4 linking Aleppo to Latakia if Turkey failed to remove jihadists along the road.

In the June 2017 UK general election, Labour under Jeremy Corbyn came within a whisker of power. If just 2,227 votes had gone the other way, seven Tory knife-edge constituencies would have been won by Labour, putting Corbyn in a strong position to lead a coalition government.

Labour achieved 40 per cent in the election, increasing its share of the vote by more than any other of the party's election leaders since 1945. As we noted at the time, it was one of the most astonishing results in UK political history.

A leaked internal Labour report now reveals that senior Labour figures were actively trying to stop Labour winning the general election in order to oust Corbyn as party leader. The 860-page document, 'The work of the Labour Party's Governance and Legal Unit in relation to antisemitism, 2014 - 2019', first leaked to Sky News, was the product of an extensive internal investigation into the way Labour handled antisemitism complaints.

The report includes copious damning examples of email and WhatsApp exchanges among Labour officials expressing contempt for Jeremy Corbyn and anyone who supported him, including other Labour staff, Labour MPs and even the public.

The foundation of former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, the "Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation" (BMGF), is controlled by its three trustees: Bill and Melinda Gates and hedge fund manager Warren Buffett. The foundation holds assets worth about $50 billion - about half of which originates from Buffett - and finances a large number of charitable projects.

Second only to the USA, the BMGF is one of the largest donors to the World Health Organization (WHO) and paid it more than $200 million in 2018 - more than Germany, France and Sweden combined in the same period. But this is not the only way in which the WHO is financed by Gates. GAVI, formerly known as the "Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation", provided the WHO with an additional $150 million in 2018. One of GAVI's main donors is again the BMGF, with $1.5 billion in 2016, for example.

It can therefore be said that the BMGF and thus the Gates family and Warren Buffett are the main source of income for the WHO through direct and indirect channels, which raises questions about its independence from these sources of finance. In addition, the BMGF also provided funding for the establishment of the "Coalition for Epidemic Prevention Innovation" (CEPI), which is concerned with the research and development of vaccines, amounting to around $100 million in 2017. In addition, the Foundation regularly supports non-governmental organisations such as PATH, which are involved in the development of vaccination technologies, with millions of dollars in funding. The list of BMGF's beneficiaries also includes the largest global pharmaceutical companies, such as Pfizer, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi Aventis. The comprehensive influence of the BMGF in the vaccination sector is therefore obvious.

Chile announced plans Monday to issue the world's first "immunity passports" for recovered coronavirus patients that would make residents exempt from quarantines and other restrictions, according to a report on Monday.

The cards, which will be rolled out later this week, will allow those who have recovered from the virus to return to work.

"It's precisely they who can help the community enormously, because they don't present a risk," Health Minister Jaime Mañalich said last week, according to the Washington Post.

More than 4,600 people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the country will be eligible, according to Paula Daza, an undersecretary of public health in Chile.

Residents can also apply for the cards, which will be issued to people with a "very high probability" of being noncontagious. Others who apply may be tested for antibodies to determine if they are eligible.
