Last night CMZ released a number of posts on Telegram. In this first post, CMZ provides a memo from the President of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (MCBOS), Jack Sellers. In it, Sellers labels the Senate and anyone who wants to perform a legitimate audit of the County's results backing "lies and half-truths".

Russia has revealed it will not block access to Twitter, after the US-based social network complied with the vast majority (91%) of requests from the country's media regulator Roskomnadzor to remove illegally shared content.

The state body also explained that it would partially lift the measures it had introduced that had throttled the website's speed. In March, Roskomnadzor announced it would slow down the popular microblogging service, after it refused to remove content deemed illegal, supposedly including child pornography and information about drugs. Later, Twitter was given a May 15 deadline to remove all such posts - totaling more than 6,000 - or risk being banned in Russia.


Comment: It took a demand from Russia to get child pornography removed from Twitter.

In his recent televised interview, Lebanese FM Charbel Wehbe seemingly criticised the Gulf nations, including Saudi Arabia, for being partially responsible for the rise of Daesh in Iraq and Syria.

The UAE's Foreign Ministry has summoned the Lebanese ambassador to present its official objection to comments made by Lebanon's FM Charbel Wehbe. Dubai says his remarks are "inconsistent with diplomatic norms".
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs [...] has strongly decried the derogatory and racist statements made by caretaker Lebanese Foreign Minister, Charbel Wehbe, against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] states", UAE state news agency (WAM) reported.

Comment: Al Arabiya reports:
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation "of the disgraceful insults that [his] statements contained towards the Kingdom, its people and the brotherly Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries," SPA reported.

The Kingdom's foreign ministry reaffirmed that these statements are inconsistent with diplomatic norms and are inconsistent with the historical relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

"Given the repercussions that these disgraceful statements may have on the relations between the two brotherly countries, the Ministry summoned the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the Kingdom to express the Kingdom's rejection and denunciation of the abuses issued by the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, and he was handed an official memorandum of protest in this regard," the statement on SPA concluded.

Lebanon's president said on Tuesday the foreign minister's critical comments about Gulf states did not reflect official policy, seeking to avoid a further strain on ties with countries that have been Lebanon's allies and donors.

Not content with months of worsening relations and the potential for military escalation, the European Parliament has now put forward a draft report insisting the EU needs to be more confrontational in its approach to Moscow.

A draft report published online by the assembly's Committee on Foreign Affairs caused consternation in Russian media on Monday, after statements came to light that argued the bloc "should establish with the US a transatlantic alliance to defend democracy globally" and "deter Russia" from supposed aggression in Eastern Europe.

As part of its "vision" for future ties with Moscow, the paper concludes that the EU should put forward a number of incentives designed to persuade Russians that a turn to the West would be beneficial, including visa liberalization and "free trade investment."

Last month, the CEO from Pfizer, Albert Bourla said that yearly Covid-19 vaccinations may need to become normalized just like the flu shot. A New York Times article headlined with 'Booster shots and re-vaccinations could be needed. Drug companies are planning for it' said that a single shot of the Covid-19 vaccine won't be enough.
"Scientists have long said that giving people a single course of a Covid-19 vaccine might not be sufficient in the long term, and that booster shots and even annual vaccinations might prove necessary."
That was just a hypothetical scenario, however:
"that proposition has begun to sound less hypothetical. Vaccine makers are getting a jump-start on possible new rounds of shots, although they sound more certain of the need for boosters than independent scientists have."
The idea of getting a Covid-19 vaccine shot every year will be difficult task as more people are starting to refuse them because of the lack of trust. Bourla said that "a third dose of the company's Covid-19 vaccine was 'likely' to be needed within a year of the initial two-dose inoculation — followed by annual vaccinations."

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Monday that President Biden is "committed to codifying" Roe v. Wade, the 1973 ruling that legalized abortion, after the Supreme Court agreed to hear a case that will allow the justices to reconsider the precedent set by the landmark Roe and Planned Parenthood v. Casey decisions.

During a press briefing, Psaki declined to comment on the Supreme Court's decision to hear the case, which involves a Mississippi law passed in 2018 that bans abortions after 15 weeks with limited exceptions. She claimed, however, that
"over the last four years critical rights like the right to healthcare and the right to choose have been under withering and extreme attack, including through draconian state laws.

"The president and the vice president are devoted to ensuring that every American has access to health care including reproductive health care regardless of their income, race, health insurance status or immigration status. As such, the president committed to codifying Roe ... unrelated ... to the outcome of this case."

Russia had absolutely no involvement in the 2020 SolarWinds hack, and all claims to the contrary read like a "bad crime novel," according to Sergey Naryshkin, the head of the country's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).

In an interview with British state-broadcaster the BBC, published on Tuesday, the spy chief also revealed that his agency had resumed correspondence with London's MI6, and noted that he hoped to meet face-to-face with his British counterpart.

When asked about the SolarWinds attack, Naryshkin denied his agency had been behind the hackings it was accused of, as well as poisonings and interference in elections. He branded the accusations as so "absurd" and "pathetic" they were not worth talking about.

"Regarding these accusations that have been leveled against us publicly, that's right - Russia is not involved," he asserted.

Naryshkin said the accusations about the SolarWinds hack were "flattering," but he could not take the credit for other people's work.

John McEntee, one of Donald Trump's most-favored aides, handed retired Army Col. Douglas Macgregor a piece of paper with a few notes scribbled on it. He explained: "This is what the president wants you to do."

  2. Get us out of Iraq and Syria.
  3. Complete the withdrawal from Germany.
  4. Get us out of Africa.
It was Nov. 9, 2020 — days after Trump lost his re-election bid, 10 weeks before the end of his presidency and just moments after Macgregor was offered a post as senior adviser to acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller.

As head of the powerful Presidential Personnel Office, McEntee had Trump's ear. Even so, Macgregor was astonished. He told McEntee he doubted they could do all of these things before Jan. 20.

Francisco José Contreras, deputy to Spain's far-right Vox Party, was locked out of his Twitter account for 12 hours last week after saying "a man cannot get pregnant" because they have "no uterus or eggs."

Contreras' comments were in response to an article he shared on the social media platform about a transgender male who announced they were a father after giving birth to a baby girl.

Contreras said in a Facebook post on May 11 that he had received a message from Twitter which informed him that he had violated its policies on "hate speech" for the remarks.

"The hateful tweet (which I was forced to delete) was one that said: ′′A man cannot get pregnant. A man has no womb or eggs"," Contreras wrote in response to the move. "You can see this is already fascist biology. Next time I'll try 2 + 2 = 4."

According to Twitter, Contreras violated its policy against material that threatens, harasses, or fosters violence against other people on the basis of their race, ethnic origin, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religion, age, disability or disease.

"Keep in mind that repeated defaults may lead to permanent suspension of your account," Twitter warned. "Go to Twitter now to fix the problem with your account."

A spokesperson for Twitter declined to comment.
