UN, World Economic Forum behind global 'war on farmers': Experts

They say 'Agenda 2030' development goals at root of sustainability policies that could lead to food shortages

The escalating regulatory attack on agricultural producers from Holland and the United States to Sri Lanka and beyond is closely tied to the United Nations' "Agenda 2030" Sustainable Development Goals and the U.N.'s partners at the World Economic Forum (WEF), numerous experts told The Epoch Times.

Indeed, several of the U.N.'s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are directly implicated in policies that are squeezing farmers, ranchers, and food supplies around the world.

High-level Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members within the U.N. system helped create the SDGs and are currently helping lead the organization's implementation of the global plan, The Epoch Times has previously documented.

Comment: Keep in mind the strong anti-China slant to this article.

If left unchecked, multiple experts said, the U.N.-backed sustainability policies on agriculture and food production would lead to economic devastation, shortages of critical goods, widespread famine, and a dramatic loss of individual freedoms.

Comment: And all of the above is to say nothing of the scores of food production and distribution hubs around the world that have mysteriously exploded and/or been destroyed in recent months - or the avian flu scare which has justified the culling of chicken and egg production plants by the US Federal government.

Project Veritas reveals FBI lists Gadsden Flag, 2A, Revolutionary War imagery as 'extremist' symbols

fbi floor symbol
On Tuesday, Project Veritas released leaked documents from the FBI outlining symbols they say are commonly used by "Anti-Government or Anti-Authority Violent Extremists," noting specifically "Militia Violent Extremists" (MVE).

The leaked document, obtained through a FBI whistleblower, lists numerous symbols, historic references, common phrases, and military networks that Militia Violent Extremists may use or associate with.

"The following symbols are used by Anti-Government or Anti-Authority Violent Extremists, specifically Militia Violent Extremists. MVE symbols are often found on propaganda, online platforms, memes, merchandise, group logos, flags, tattoos, uniforms, etc. Widespread use of symbols and quotes from American history, especially the Revolutionary War, exists within MVE networks, Historic and contemporary military themes are common for MVE symbols," the FBI internal document reads.

Comment: The classification of "extremist" seems to be casting a wider and wider net. Anyone standing against tyranny will have to be cast as an extremist by the tyrannical forces eventually. You're next.

Both Zelensky and Poroshenko acknowledged they came to power illegally

poroshenko zelensky
A coup is an illegal way to come to power, and both of Ukraine's Presidents after the February 2014 overthrow of the democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovych acknowledged that the overthrow of him violated the law, and that the government which became installed after Yanukovych's overthrow has no legitimacy whatsoever — that the "Maidan of dignity" and "democratic revolution" was actually a hoax.

On 22 June 2015, I headlined "Ukraine's President Poroshenko Admits Overthrow Of Yanukovych Was A Coup" and I provided full online documentation both of his allegation and of its being entirely true. I even documented that on 26 February 2014 (the final day of the actual coup) he had informed the EU that this was the case, and that they were surprised to hear it but ignored it. The U.S. allegations that Yanukovych had been overthrown by a spontaneous and mass-supported revolution against him — and which were clearly a lie even as early as 4 February 2014 but a lie that was pumped ceaselessly in the 'news'-media regardless of that evidence — those U.S. allegations were thoroughly documented, in a 12 March 2014 video-compilation that was posted to youtube, to be false, a hoax, and yet nonetheless, this fact continued to be ignored in U.S.-&-allied 'news'-media, as-if truth had nothing whatsoever to do with news-reporting and analysis — as-if evidence doesn't matter, regardless of how extensive and reliable and conclusive it is. As-if The West is floating on lies, and its public won't ever much care about that fact. (That's the assumption; and, if by "the public" is meant the nation's press, then that assumption is unquestionably true, because the press don't care about it, at all — they instead support it; they support this status-quo, of lies-based 'history'.)

Taiwan: Washington plays with dragon's fire

aircraft carrier
Tensions continued to build between the United States and China with the recent trip of US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan against Beijing's warnings.

The unfolding row is depicted with immense ambiguity by the Western media in what is otherwise a clear-cut case of America violating China's sovereignty.

US publication Newsweek in its article, "China Military Says It Won't 'Sit Back' If Nancy Pelosi Visits Taiwan," would first claim:
The Chinese military has threatened an unspecified response if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — second in line to the presidency — goes ahead with reported plans to visit Taiwan.

Following a week of diplomatic barb-trading, during which Beijing said it was "fully prepared for any eventuality" and Washington continued to downplay the potential fallout of the as-yet-unconfirmed trip, China's defense ministry weighed in on the topic for the first time.
The Western media surely would not cover such events if it were China or Russia infringing on the sovereignty of another state as seen clearly throughout Western coverage of Russian military operations in Ukraine.

US responsible for Ukrainian 'war crimes' says Russian MoD, follows revelations Washington directs missiles & has veto over decisions

Washington bears "political, criminal, and moral responsibility" for "war crimes" committed by the Ukrainian military, Russia's Defense Ministry said on Tuesday. The statement came in response to an interview by a top Ukrainian spy, who revealed that Kiev consults with Washington before using US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and that Washington actually has veto power over decision-making.

"All this irrefutably proves that Washington, contrary to the statements of the White House and the Pentagon, is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine. It is the Biden administration that is directly responsible for all the Kiev-approved missile attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure in the settlements across Donbass and other regions that caused mass civilian casualties," Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov has said.

Pelosi touches down in Taiwan - Biden admin distances itself from the rogue octogenarian

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a Democratic congressional delegation landed in Taiwan on Tuesday, following through with a visit that brought condemnation and threats from China and could sever already strained relations between Washington and Beijing.

Upon the arrival of Pelosi (D-Calif.) in Taipei around 10:45 p.m. local time, she became the highest-ranking US elected official to travel to the island nation since then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich in 1997.

Pelosi was seen exiting the plane — known as SPAR19 — wearing a pink suit and black face mask. Shortly after, she and the delegation appeared to pose for a photo with officials on the tarmac.

Just minutes before the speaker landed in the island nation, the Taipei 101 skyscraper displayed a welcome message for all to see.

"Speaker Pelosi...Welcome to TW [Taiwan]...TW [heart emoji] US," the message read.

Later in the evening, Pelosi's motorcade was spotted arriving at the nearby Grand Hyatt hotel, where she is expected to stay the night. Her arrival reportedly prompted cheers from a watching crowd of hundreds.

Comment: Cheers from some. Jeers from others:

Reports had circulated for weeks that Pelosi would go to Taiwan as part of an Asian tour during the August House recess.

Comment: The State Department's Blinken also tried to put some distance between them and Pelosi:
"The speaker will make her own decisions about whether or not to visit Taiwan. Congress is an independent, coequal branch of government. The decision is entirely the speaker's," Blinken told reporters at the UN headquarters in New York following a Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) review conference on Monday.

The top US diplomat went on to accuse Beijing of exaggerating the significance of the rumored trip, claiming that if "China tries to create some kind of crisis or otherwise escalate tensions, that would be entirely on Beijing."

Blinken said Washington expects Beijijng to "act responsibly and not to engage in any escalation going forward," if Pelosi eventually decided to visit Taiwan, as has been reported by multiple media outlets, citing sources in the US and Taipei.

Hungary PM Orban says 'EU is not our boss'

Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that his country is an 'independent, sovereign' nation

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban lashed out at the European Union on Monday evening in a Facebook post, reminding his followers that Brussels doesn't dictate European affairs.

"The European Union is not in Brussels. The European Union is in Vienna, Budapest and Warsaw, Berlin and Madrid," the prime minister said.

Comment: Hungary is going off the rez. How long before the other 'junior' members follow suit? The idiocy of agreeing to the U.S. sanctions on Russia are starting to really hit home in the countries with smaller economies. If the EU fractures it will be due to their own stupidity.

Why the West got it wrong on Russia

Putin etc
© Financial Times
"Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it." This ageless truism is very much in play today as the West struggles to comprehend the scope and scale of its failure first in deterring Russia from invading Ukraine, and then in compelling it to alter course post-invasion. Almost without exception, geopolitical analysts failed to forecast events accurately and policymakers failed to craft policies capable of influencing these events. Figuring out why this failure occurred is essential if there is to be any hope of finding an effective off-ramp from the current crisis. And a new approach is also needed to avoid yet another repeat.

As Russia enters the sixth month of its war in Ukraine, the world is struggling to come to grips with the reality of what is transpiring on the ground in that beleaguered nation. There continues to be a belief among Ukraine's Western supporters that, if Kyiv is provided with enough modern heavy weaponry, it will somehow be able to pull a rabbit of the hat, transforming what appears to be a Russian military advantage into a Ukrainian victory.

Likewise, the Western "collective" — the EU, US, G7 and Nato — continues to press for even more stringent economic sanctions against Russia, with the apparent belief that such action will, at some point, have sufficient impact on the Russian economy to compel a change in policy by Moscow.

Finally, by doubling down on policies enacted in response to the Russian invasion, Western political leaders continue to act as if the economic consequences will not translate into political consequences at home.

Lying about the economy will only make the crash worse

YellenBiden

I really don't know how to describe the disturbing trend over the last few months of the Biden administration, along with Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, simply lying to the American people about the economy.

Months worth of political spin has culminated in embarrassing recent attempts to redefine the word "recession": a futile effort to pull the wool over an American public that is growing increasingly suspect both Biden and Yellen's competence to be overseeing the the country, and the economy, respectively.
green chart
By now, the administration's pathetic falsehood of a narrative about our economy has been called out, ridiculed, dismantled and generally beaten to death by anyone with a shred of common sense.

However, there is something far more important that people aren't talking about: the administration lying about the health of the economy could wind up exacerbating any financial crisis that we have in the near future.

Comment: The grand equalizer scheme has been set in motion. There will be no mia culpas.

Jeremy Corbyn urges west to stop arming Ukraine

Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn has urged western countries to stop arming Ukraine, and claimed he was criticised over antisemitism because of his stance on Palestine, in a TV interview likely to underscore Keir Starmer's determination not to readmit him to the Labour party. Corbyn said:
"Pouring arms in isn't going to bring about a solution, it's only going to prolong and exaggerate this war. We might be in for years and years of a war in Ukraine."
Corbyn gave the interview on Al Mayadeen, a Beirut-based TV channel that has carried pro-Russia reporting since Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
"What I find disappointing is that hardly any of the world's leaders use the word peace; they always use the language of more war, and more bellicose war. This war is disastrous for the people of Ukraine, for the people of Russia, and for the safety and security of the whole world, and therefore there has to be much more effort put into peace."
He called for the UN to be "much more centre stage", and suggested involving other international bodies such as the African Union or the League of Arab States if the UN were unable to help negotiate a ceasefire.
