Russia's Foreign Ministry said the sanctions were 'in the context of London's unrelenting military support for the Kyiv neo-Nazi regime'.

UK ministers, journalists, media representatives and the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court are among 54 British nationals to have been banned from entering Russia.

BBC journalist Ros Atkins, known for his popular explainer-style videos, is among those included on the list, along with Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer and reporters from The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph newspapers.

The Guardian said the move demonstrated Moscow's "disregard for a free and fair press".

Karim Khan KC, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), also features on the so-called "stop list".

"In banning Guardian journalists and executives, the Russian government is simply demonstrating its disregard for a free and fair press," said a Guardian spokesman.

Russia, in May, put Mr Khan on its wanted list after the ICC two months earlier issued a war crimes warrant for President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of bearing personal responsibility for the abduction of children from Ukraine.

Comment: Bogus accusation. The children, with permission granted, participated in a music and cultural program sponsored by Russia.

A New York man who recently landed a job at Netflix in California right out of college disappeared after he was last seen getting into an Uber earlier this week.

Yohanes Kidane, 22, was captured on security camera leaving his apartment building in downtown San Jose around 7:15 p.m. on Monday before he stepped into a vehicle that bore an Uber sticker, his family told KTVU.

"Two young colleagues of his saw him and were able to talk to him," Kidane's brother, Yosief, said. "He said he was heading to San Francisco to maybe meet a friend. The last footage I've seen of him was leaving his apartment building and getting into a black Toyota Camry."

Who is Oliver Anthony? Former factory worker lives in a camper and refuses $8M music deal after 'Rich Men North of Richmond' became global smash hit

oliver anthony
Just weeks ago, the musician - real name Christopher Anthony Lunsford - was a relative unknown with just a few hundred social media followers.
Weeks ago, Oliver Anthony had only a few hundred followers on social media and was touring along as an unknown country music singer. Yesterday, he claimed to have turned down eight million dollars.

His viral overnight success was sparked by blue collar ballad 'Rich Men North of Richmond', where he rails against working 'overtime hours for bulls*** pay' and slams woke politicians for only caring about 'minors on an island somewhere.'

But before his fame, the 31-year-old - real name Christopher Anthony Lunsford - was a struggling former factory worker from Farmville, Virginia. He dropped out of school aged 17, and worked a series of menial plant jobs, most recently at a paper mill in McDowell County, North Carolina.

German technology at the front

Ukraine Soldier

Dear Readers:

This story is kind of gross, for which I apologize. And it might just be war propaganda, so take with a pinch of salt. Or smelling salts, if you need them. The reporter is Dmitry Yermolaev, who is basically copy/pasting from a report by the news service Argumenty i Fakty ("Arguments and Facts" - AiF).

Yermolaev: The number of dead and wounded Ukrainian soldiers is catastrophic. At a certain moment there were some actions and protests by widows, and certain scandals involving rumors of "organ transplanters" at the front. Zelensky's office found a solution for all these problems: Simply burn the bodies in crematoria. This is also a good way to conceal the number of casualties. Thus, the army of the Kiev regime is employing mobile crematoria on the front lines. These devices were built in Germany. In Germany, they use these devices to burn the bodies of animals.

The German manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty on their equipment. The ovens are meant to be fired up and work around the clock. AiF reporters learned that the residents of Berislav and Kherson were complaining about a strange odor coming from outside the city limits. Rearguard units of the Ukrainian army had stationed mobile crematoria in two hangars where, it was noticed, army vehicles were coming and going all the time, bringing and unloading sacks.

Ukrainian neo-Nazi apologizes for attacking transgender woman

A Ukrainian neo-Nazi who attacked a transgender woman serving in the country's armed forces has apologized to his victim, promising to be more "tolerant" in the future.

The apology video was shared online by the victim of the assault, identified only as 'Helen'. The attacker and the transgender woman appeared together in the video, with the latter instructing the neo-Nazi on how precisely he should apologize.

The attacker began by proclaiming his "right-wing orientation," apparently referring to his political, rather than sexual, preferences.

UK store offers police free coffees to deter thieves amidst surge in crime

Waitrose and John Lewis are offering free hot drinks to on-duty police officers in a bid to deter shoplifters.

Comment: These stores are generally frequented by shoppers with a higher than average income.

John Lewis Partnership, which owns both brands, has written to the Police Federation to say officers can make the most of the offer - as long as they bring a reusable cup.

Its head of security said that even just having a police car parked outside might deter would-be thieves.

It comes as other shops have reported soaring levels of retail crime.

In Waitrose, police officers and community support officers will be able to get drinks from the in-store coffee machines.

Comment: Whilst crime, poverty, and its associated ills, has been on the rise for years now, the surge began once lockdowns were lifted, and criminality has been rising ever since; and, notably, it has becoming more like that seen in some US regions:

Best of the Web: Organ trafficking, paedophile networks - The hell of children abducted by Ukraine's 'White Angels'

ukraine pedophile
'Ukraine abducts children to sell them to pedophile rings'
When I began investigating the kidnapping of children in Artiomovsk by Ukraine, I had no idea of the extent to which I would uncover trafficking on an international scale and the sordid methods used to supply children to paedophile networks and organ traffickers.

Flashback. In April 2023, I interviewed a refugee from Artiomovsk, Yulia, who told me that as well as having mined and blown up their building, Ukrainian units called "Phoenix" and "White Angels" were kidnapping children in the town. This information immediately caught my attention, and I decided to investigate further to find out why Kiev was taking children away from their parents in this way.

On the very day I was conducting this interview, Russian colleagues were interviewing a little girl from Artiomovsk, whom the "White Angels" had tried to kidnap from her grandparents, claiming that her mother was dead, and that they were to take her to Germany. It was clear to me that these children kidnapped by Ukraine in Donbass were then sent abroad for all sorts of sordid trafficking, from organ trafficking to paedophile rings. Because the inhabitants of Donbass have never been able to assert their rights in the face of the war crimes committed against them by Ukraine since 2014 within the international justice bodies, Kiev enjoys total immunity at the ICC and the ECHR with regard to the crimes it may commit against the children of the region.

Comment: Ukraine is also the global capital of surrogacy, which was rather damning in itself, however, in light of the above report, one does wonder how many of these births are for reasons other than surrogacy: The following video is extremely disturbing testimony regarding the organ harvesting in Ukraine:

If 100,000 transvestites had been made homeless by a Hawaii fire...

...They would have received a billion federal dollars faster than you could slip on a pair of pink heels.

Biden would be there, on the ground, handing out stacks of cash, down on his knees, kissing asses, promising to take the trannies shopping in Oahu.

FEMA agents in droves would be taking and processing applications for aid on the spot in Maui, and handing out more cash.

But no.

On FEMA's website, we have this preposterous "fact-check":
Rumor: FEMA is only giving Hawaii wildfire survivors $700 per household

Fact:

This is not true. There is a range of federal disaster assistance available. Critical Needs Assistance provides a onetime payment of $700 to address immediate needs such as food, water and clothing. This is just one of several types of federal assistance you may be eligible to receive. As applications are reviewed, you can check your application status online or call 800-621-3362 to find out what types of disaster assistance you are eligible to receive.
Sure. Let's make these homeless people who have lost family members wait. Make them check their application status online. Make them call an 800 number to see what they qualify for.

SURELY, $700 will tide them over. Of course it will. Uh-huh.

I say put these FEMA motherfuckers out of their homes without resources in some blown-out spot, like the south side of Chicago, at night, and let THEM file an application for aid, and let THEM call an 800 number to see what type of assistance THEY qualify for.

Give them first-hand experience.

Panama Canal extends transit restrictions, raising concerns over consumer goods prices

panama canal
© REUTERS/Aris Martinez/File PhotoImporters warn of problems with supplies of perishable goods as Britain relies on the canal for fresh produce from Latin AmericaAnalysts warn countries such as Peru will struggle to maintain supplies if ships carrying refrigerated containers of fruit, vegetables and other goods such as coffee and meat are subjected to excessive delays on the Panama Canal
The measures, attributed to a delayed rainy season, may exacerbate pressures on consumer goods pricing, raising concerns among maritime experts and companies due to added shipping costs and delays.

The Panama Canal Authority on Wednesday notified shippers it is extending through Sept. 2 restrictions for vessels to transit through the waterway and keeping the number of vessels authorized to pass per day to a maximum of 32.

The Canal restrictions, implemented in recent months as the rainy season in Panama has come late this year, could add more pressure on consumer goods prices, according to maritime firms and experts, as delays and extra fees add to shipping costs.

The Panama Canal is important for moving consumer goods from Asia to the United States, especially ahead of peak selling seasons like Christmas. It also allows faster transportation of U.S. commodities to Asia and South America's Pacific Coast.

Officials are shrugging their shoulders at the fires on Hawaii's central island of Maui — implying it was an oopsie.

Two damning pieces of information tell otherwise.

1. Drivers trying to escape Lahaina during the fires were trapped on the coastal road. A resident walked to find the obstruction. There was none, except for a policeman halting traffic at Canoe restaurant, a longstanding Lahaini landmark, formerly called Chart House. It is at the north end of Front Street, No 1450, the junction with the Honoapiilani Highway.

The officer told him, "I am under orders to keep them here."[1]

By about 4 p.m a video shows cars stuck bumper-to-bumper. Shortly after confronting the policeman, the resident said people began screaming as cars exploded.
