A 25-year-old man in Madrid has been accused of raping his daughter who was barely a few months old.

The father, known only by his first name, Santiago, is also being charged with distributing child pornography of other babies, Spain's National Police say.

The child's mother was also arrested on charges related to child pornography, although she claims she had no prior knowledge of her partner abusing their baby.

Entering the home of the alleged paedophile, police were shocked at what they found. The baby was found to be very dirty and had scratches over her body, presumably from the cat that was living in the apartment with them.

Garbage was strewn across the floor of the apartment. Police even found a pacifier filled with ash and also joints and other drugs scattered around the home.

Murdered leftist activist Ryan Carson has history of celebrating death, violence towards conservatives

ryan carson tweets 1
The Antifa activist who was stabbed to death in Brooklyn on Monday, 32-year-old Ryan Carson, has a history of celebrating death and violence.

Carson, who was a prominent far-left activist and poet in New York City, was remembered by friends and Democrat lawmakers for his acts of "kindness," but unearthed posts on social media reveal that Carson celebrated the death of conservatives, advocated for violence against police, violently threatened elected officials, and dedicated his life to abolishing law enforcement.

Carson threatened an elected official in a post on X under the username @ArtSchoolJock and wrote: "Hi! Political organizer here! It's not bullying to hold elected officials accountable. That being said, I would love to shove this little f-cking nerd in the locker where he belongs."

While responding to an article written by the New York Post that announced the death of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, who died after a battle with cancer, Carson quoted the post on X and wrote "lmao hell yeah."

US public support declines for arming Ukraine, Reuters/Ipsos poll shows

Support is falling among Americans of both major political parties for supplying Ukraine with weapons, a warning sign for Kyiv, which relies heavily on U.S. arms to fight against a Russian invasion, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The two-day poll, which closed on Wednesday, showed only 41% of respondents agreed with a statement that Washington "should provide weapons to Ukraine," compared to 35% who disagreed and the rest unsure.

Support for U.S. weapon shipments is down from May, when a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed 46% of Americans backed sending arms, while 29% were opposed and the rest unsure.

The poll was taken as U.S. congressional leaders debate Democratic President Joe Biden's request for $24 billion in additional funding for Ukraine, of which about $17 billion would be defense aid.

Comment: The MIC is a direct beneficiary, not American workers. Surely $24B could be allocated elsewhere or not allocated at all.

Left-wing extremism is on the rise across Germany

A spate of attacks on AfD politicians may have political consequences

At the time of writing, Tino Chrupalla, the co-leader of the German Alternative für Deutschland party (AfD) is under observation at a hospital, after what appears to have been a potential attack with a needle-like object. The German authorities are still investigating the incident, but it is as of yet unclear what precisely happened.

Even if there was no political motivation behind the attack, it serves as a reminder of the increase in Left-wing political violence occurring across Germany. Overall, Left- and Right-wing extremism in Germany show a similar number of incidents, but in recent years the Left has begun to move from "general" violence (for example at demonstrations) to more specific targeting of individuals.

New York City asks court to suspend 'right to shelter' agreement as immigrant crisis persists

New York City Mayor Eric Adams made another attempt at halting the city's landmark right-to-shelter policy that has been in place for over four decades. He asked a judge to suspend the mandate given the influx of immigrants.

In a letter to Erika Edwards, a New York Supreme Court justice, Adams asked the judge to consider temporarily suspending the city's legal obligation to uphold its offer of a "right to shelter" to anyone within its borders who requests. The right to shelter comes from a 1981 consent decree that established the mandate, making New York the only major city in the country to do so.

"We seek only the immediate relief that present circumstances demand. New York City has done more than any other city in the last 18 months to meet this national humanitarian crisis," the letter sent Tuesday reads. It explained that the officials do not seek to overturn the mandate — only to modify or temporarily suspend it.

Over 100,000 asylum-seekers have come through New York City's shelter system, and the city is projected to spend over $4 billion dollars this year to provide shelter and services to immigrants. New York leaders have pleaded for federal and local help as the immigrant crisis is expected to create a $12 billion budget deficit.

Comment: The USGOV doesn't care about New York City, or any other for that matter. Our money is squandered on bad-bet Ukraine.

The Russell Brand rape scandal moves to the next stage, but it's probably already too late for him

Police investigations into the comedian have begun, but his career is dead regardless of whether he's found guilty or not

The #MeToo movement's persecution of celebrity and actor Russell Brand has intensified in predictable fashion over the past week.

The London Metropolitan police and Thames Valley police have now commenced separate formal investigations into various complaints lodged against Brand. This comes as no surprise, given that the police enthusiastically invited complainants to come forward - and once a #MeToo target has been identified a raft of additional complaints is certain to emerge.

London shopkeepers - who are currently trying to cope with an epidemic of gang-organised shoplifting caused by the police's refusal to investigate such crimes if less that £200 pounds is involved - must be astounded at the very different approach that the police have taken to the historical complaints, many of them trivial, made against Brand.

Comment: Russell has stepped on too many high-powered toes over the years. Retaliation almost inevitable, and people were warning him about it. Kudos to Brand for forging on anyway. A lot of people think this interview was the last straw:

Mortgage rates climb to 7.31%, highest since 2000

for sale sign
Mortgage rates climbed to the highest level in nearly 23 years, ramping up the pressure on potential homebuyers.

The average for a 30-year, fixed loan rose for a third week, reaching 7.31%, up from 7.19% last week, Freddie Mac said in a statement Thursday. A year ago, the 30-year fixed-rate was 6.7%. The latest time rates were higher was December 2000.

Mortgage rates have topped 7% for the past seven weeks, hurting affordability for buyers and cooling purchases. The survey rate - for borrowers who put 20% down and have excellent credit - translates to a buyer with a $600,000 mortgage would be paying $4,118 a month at this week's average rate, 58% more than in early 2022, before the Federal Reserve started hiking its benchmark rate to cool an overheated economy.

World Aquatics suspends trans category due to lack of interest

The world governing body for swimming banned trans athletes from competing as women last year.

World Aquatics, the governing body for swimming, has suspended a planned open competition category for transgender athletes at the 2023 Swimming World Cup in Berlin this week after no entries were received, the group revealed in a press release on Tuesday.

"Following the close of registration for the Open Category competitions at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup - Berlin 2023 meet scheduled for 6-8 October, World Aquatics can confirm that no entries have been received for the Open Category events," the sports body formerly known as FINA stated.

Comment: This basically makes explicit why trans women athletes are wanting to compete: they want to dominate the women's category with their unfair advantage. Even the playing field by offering a mixed category and they suddenly lose interest. Why compete fairly when you can cheat?

Medics in the Gaza Strip have reported treating an influx of protesters who appear to have been deliberately targeted in the ankle by Israeli forces in recent unrest at the volatile boundary of the blockaded Palestinian enclave.

At least one person has been killed and dozens more wounded since demonstrations by groups of young men, some of them throwing stones and molotov cocktails, began in mid-September.

The protests were ostensibly organised in response to an uptick in visits by Jewish groups to Jerusalem's sensitive al-Aqsa compound, ongoing Israel Defence Forces (IDF) raids targeting armed Palestinian cells in the occupied West Bank, and the economic misery caused by the Israeli-Egyptian siege of Gaza, now in its 16th year.

Comment: What, kneecaps weren't challenging enough for the IDF ghouls?

Authorities say the illness has afflicted over 95 students, leaving most of them unable to walk

Kenyan authorities announced the temporary closure of a high school in the west of the country on Wednesday after dozens of students were hospitalized due to an unknown illness, according to local media.

Reports and footage shared on social media suggest the majority of the affected students at St. Theresa's Eregi Girls High School in Western Kakamega County were partially paralyzed by the disease and were unable to walk.

Comment: The word has gotten out all over, and people are pointing to the most likely possibilities much faster than they would have two years ago.
