Black pastor who formerly protested cops organizes massive nationwide pro-police event: 'My thinking evolved'

Rev. Markel Hutchins
We've allowed a vocal minority to monopolize the conversation: Rev. Markel Hutchins

Civil rights leader Rev. Markel Hutchins discusses how to restore public safety and trust in policing on Sunday Night In America.
A reverend who previously led protests against the police organized a massive pro-law enforcement, multi-city rallies over the weekend and spoke to Fox News Digital about why the demonization of police nationwide must end in order to secure better outcomes for everyone, regardless of race.

"Law enforcement officers have been, rightly or wrongly, demonized and demoralized and really disconnected from their communities over the last three or four years in a way that has had a detrimental effect on crime and violence, on law enforcement as a profession and by extension, on communities," Reverend Markel Hutchins, the organizer of National Faith & Blue Weekend, told Fox News Digital this week.

Over the weekend, Hutchins flew to several cities across the country engaging with law enforcement officials in coordination with thousands of events nationwide for Faith & Blue Weekend, highlighting the need for more police officers, stronger communication between police and communities, and an end to the stigmatization of law enforcement.

The societal effects of inflation - How you know things are really going bad

looting
Historically speaking, inflation/stagflation has always been a disastrous affair. One is hard pressed to find any legitimate examples of a country that experienced an aggressive inflationary event that came out better for it. A rare scenario would be one in which a nation inflates to fund a war that they then win, but usually negative consequences still happen later down the road.

The problem is that the effects of inflation can be subtle and far reaching, quietly creeping up on a population until suddenly there's a tidal wave of societal crises. In the US (and much of the western world) we are already witnessing elements of inflationary disaster; there's a good reason why around 60% of Americans now have a pessimistic view of the future, with a majority of people saying life is worse for them today than it was in the past.

These kinds of dark sentiments usually coincide with inflationary or deflationary pressures. Inflation in particular can be devastating because it represents an ever expanding hidden tax on the life of each citizen. Not only that, but the cure is often worse than the disease, with central banks instituting interest rate hikes that continue longer than most people expect. Eventually they lead to an engineered deflationary kick in the gut for the economy. For a time, prices will remain high on an array of necessities while wages stagnate, consumer demand shrinks and businesses go bankrupt as borrowing becomes impossible.

California: Governor Newsom lowers consent age to 12 for 'gender counseling' without parents 'OK'

Newsom
Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a bill into law that permits children as young as 12 to reside in government-funded "residential shelter services" to undergo mental health treatment or counseling for their gender identity without parental consent or even being informed by doctors.

The bill, known as Assembly Bill 665, allows 12-year-olds to consent to such treatment if they are considered "mature enough to participate intelligently in the outpatient services or residential shelter services" and if they are the "alleged victim" of incest or child abuse who poses a risk to themselves or others - no proof of genuine harm is required.

The bill, signed by Newson over the weekend, further states that medical professionals must consult with the minor to determine "whether involvement of the minor's parent or guardian would be inappropriate."

Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats have been handed resounding defeats in Hesse and Bavaria...

The ruling Social Democrats (SPD) lost elections in the German states of Hesse and Bavaria on Sunday, as Chancellor Olaf Scholz remains dogged by low approval ratings. His coalition partners - the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and The Greens - also endured poor results.

In Hesse, all three parties in Scholz's national coalition have taken a hit, with the Greens and SPD at around 15%, and the FDP in danger of falling below the 5% threshold to stay in parliament.

The region - the country's financial hub - has seen a swing towards former chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union (CDU), which is projected to win 34.6% of the votes, according to a forecast by state broadcaster ARD.

The CDU's sister party, the Christian Social Union (CSU), which has governed Bavaria since the 1950s, is projected to receive 36.6% of the votes (37.2% in 2018), while the Social Democrats are expected to get only 8.1% (9.7% in 2018). Bavaria, Germany's second-largest state in terms of population, has a large economy and is home to many industrial companies.

Populist "heroes" exhibit contempt for the Palestinian people

Last year when Dr. Jordan Peterson, the celebrated self-help/pro-Western psychologist, toured occupied Palestine with Zionist-Talmudist Ben Shapiro, interested observers considered it an ill-omen. Mr. Shapiro is one of many anti-Palestinian bigots and war-Zionists roaming the airwaves on Far-Right podcasting.

On domestic policies Mr. Shapiro is sometimes a champion of commonsensical traditional values. Yet one must ask, how sincere is he about those values when he has contempt for millions of Palestinian people viciously oppressed by his beloved Israeli regime?

Biden's regime is wicked, but Netanyahu's regime is virtuous, according to Ben and his sidekick, Jordan Peterson. Those are two thoughts amounting to a bipolar mentation.

Dr. Peterson posted this semi-coherent tweet on X.) Jordan B. Peterson's tweet to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Oct 7:

"Give 'em hell @netanyahu

Enough is enough"

Give who hell, Dr. Peterson?

Israel's "right to defend itself" is to condemn all Palestinians

Is there anything at all that can be said? I can only feel — appropriate words won't come. I gather news updates from a range of sources and have been distressingly learning for years now about the increasing attacks by Israelis on Palestinians, including the killing of women and children, with the clear winks from far right government members (even calling for a Palestinian town to be "wiped out") and with the protection and sometimes outright facilitation of Israeli security forces (both the IDF and the police) — all this and not one word of protest from those national leaders who are now roused to speak up and cry out for a total vindication of Israel's "right to defend itself" against the atrocities of Hamas — with that condemnation morphing all to often into an implicit condemnation of all Palestinians. The world cries out "War Crime" when a Russian missile destroys a power plant in Ukraine. But when Israel blocks all food and power from entering the overcrowded home of 2 to 3 million people....

When illustrious leaders of the opposition cannot define what a woman is, you've got to ask yourself, what the hell is going on?

Why is all this overrated, X-rated smut being peddled from every direction?

Have we really flooded school libraries with homoerotic books aimed at 6 year-olds?

Whose idea was it to enshrine drag queen-story hour as a rite of passage?

And since when was it acceptable for creeps with schoolgirl fetishes to have unsupervised, intimate conversations with our kids?

In any other time, it would be named indecent exposure or worse grooming. But not today. Self-indulgent narcissism is the gold standard of self-expression. The conversations people ought to be having with their therapist have become prime time debating points. It's another day another carnivalesque parade of blokes in frocks swanning around social media, the creepier and more degenerate the content the more of an inalienable right it is to rub your nose in it. For as long as their entitlements are upheld, all others are scattered to the wind. It's no longer women and children first but every licentious adult male with a fetish in need of validation.

All this death is the fault of the Western Press

palestine israel flags
If they'd just told the truth instead of running "Palestinian child walks into bullet" headlines this whole time and telling everyone that boycotting Israel is genocide, political pressure could've long ago been brought about to force a peaceful and just resolution to this mess.

Israel is reportedly preparing a ground invasion of Gaza very soon in response to Saturday's Hamas attack. We can expect things to get much, much bloodier from there.

Meanwhile the US has deployed an aircraft carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean in support of the coming Israeli military operations, on top of the additional military aid Biden has already pledged to Netanyahu. At the same time, The Wall Street Journal claims that the Hamas operation was coordinated with both Iran and Hezbollah.

This war has the potential to expand in some very ugly directions in the coming weeks.

Woke and war-crazed: Why Western liberals support Ukraine's atrocities

Ukraine defense force spokesperson Sarah Ashton-Cirillo

Voltaire famously stated, "whoever can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities." It is helpful to see the following full quote in which this line appears, to understand the meaning of this oft-cited maxim:
"Formerly there were those who said: You believe things that are incomprehensible, inconsistent, impossible because we have commanded you to believe them; go then and do what is unjust because we command it. Such people show admirable reasoning. Truly, whoever can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. If the God‐given understanding of your mind does not resist a demand to believe what is impossible, then you will not resist a demand to do wrong to that God-given sense of justice in your heart. As soon as one faculty of your soul has been dominated, other faculties will follow as well. And from this derives all those crimes of religion which have overrun the world."
In other words, being compelled to believe untruths, and indeed obvious untruths which you know in your heart are untrue, and then living your life as if these untruths are true, can have a morally corrosive effect and prime you to conform with terrible crimes.

George Orwell illustrates this phenomenon well in his novel '1984', in which he explains that the dictatorial and brutal government at the center of this story rules the population and gains its buy-in to the awful system in which it lives by forcing the people to believe in and even repeat absurd, nonsensical slogans such as "war is peace" and "freedom is slavery."

Church of England school sacks foreign languages teacher, 43, who refused to teach 'extreme' LGBT lessons

Glawdys Leger
Glawdys Leger was dismissed from a Church of England school after she refused to teach LGBT content that was incompatible with her views
A teacher has been sacked from a Church of England school after she refused to teach 'extreme' LGBT lessons.

Glawdys Leger, 43, a modern foreign languages teacher at Bishop Justus CofE School in Bromley, south London, was dismissed in May 2022 after she said she wouldn't teach LGBT material on the religious education syllabus to year seven pupils.

Ms Leger, who had taught at the school since 2017, said she was 'treated like a dangerous criminal' after she shared her belief with students that LGBT practices were sinful and that humans are born either male or female.

She was later reported to the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) following reports she had upset one pupil with her views.

The teacher of 12 years could now face being banned from the profession indefinitely after a 'fitness to practise' hearing in Coventry due to start on Monday.

It is thought to be the first time a TRA case against a teacher at a CofE school has progressed to a full hearing.
