In recent years, not a month has gone by without yet another unsettling exposé of Facebook's content-moderation policies and corporate machinations. One report from February explained how Facebook moderators can end up believing the conspiracies they're hired to weed out. In another case, Facebook's top executives hired lobbyists to present some of its critics as extremists. Facebook's platform and subsidiaries have even been linked to the incitement of genocide in Myanmar and deadly lynch mobs in India.

Not so long ago, in the days when using proto-social media meant dialing up to a CompuServe or AOL chat room, we never could have imagined (those of us old enough to remember that time, at least) that the name of a company like Facebook would appear in the headlines of breaking stories about geopolitics. But in 2019, it's an everyday occurrence.

Facebook runs the world's biggest social media platform. It also runs Instagram, the world's second biggest social media platform, and several large messaging platforms, including WhatsApp. It has become perhaps the most important de-facto news-delivery platform in the world. While journalists and academics often focus on Twitter (because that's where they conduct their arguments), it is Facebook that has a chokehold on how ordinary people communicate, manage their friendships, and learn about what is happening in the world. And all the while, Facebook is scraping data about your relationships and contacts, feeding you targeted ads, and profiling you to determine which content will keep you more engaged and emotionally dependent on its feed.

One of the few places where Facebook does not have dominant market penetration is mainland China, which places strict controls on foreign tech companies. Its market is instead dominated by WeChat, a compound app that acts as a combination of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, and also allows the Chinese authorities to censor content that is critical of the government, or otherwise incompatible with Beijing's desire for societal "harmony."

Supreme Court of British Columbia dismisses Dr Michael Mann's defamation lawsuit versus Canadian skeptic climatologist, Dr Tim Ball. Full legal costs are awarded to Dr Ball, the defendant in the case.

The Canadian court issued it's final ruling in favor of the Dismissal motion that was filed in May 2019 by Dr Tim Ball's libel lawyers.

The plaintiff Mann's "hockey stick" graph, first published in 1998, was featured prominently in the U.N. 2001 climate report. The graph showed an "unprecedented" spike in global average temperature in the 20th Century after about 500 years of stability.

Skeptics have long claimed Mann's graph was fraudulent.

A California mom has been arrested for allegedly killing her 4-month-old and 14-year-old, authorities said.

Linda Nguyen, 47, was arrested for the deaths of her two daughters, who were found this week in their garage in Ontario, about 40 miles east of Los Angeles, the Ontario police said on Thursday.

"She willingly provided a statement that confirmed she acted alone in the deaths of her two children," Sgt. Bill Russell told ABC News on Friday.

The gruesome discovery was made on Tuesday by the children's father when he arrived home, prompting him to call police, Russell said at a news conference on Wednesday. Nguyen, who was found unresponsive at the home on Tuesday, allegedly left suicide notes -- one in the house and one in the car -- saying she intended to kill the children and herself, Russell said.

The Iowa adjunct professor who openly admitted to a local news outlet that "I am Antifa" has resigned amid pressure.

Kirkwood Community College President Lori Sundberg released a statement Friday saying that the college accepted Jeff Klinzman's resignation, according to a press release obtained by Campus Reform. However, Sundberg went on to reference the college's "decision to remove Mr. Klinzman from the classroom," suggesting that Klinzman's resignation was not voluntary.

"We have spoken with Mr. Klinzman this afternoon about this matter and have accepted his resignation."

"With the safety of our students, faculty, and staff as our top concern, we made the decision this morning to identify an instructor who will take over the one course that Mr. Klinzman was to have taught this semester," Sundberg stated. "We have spoken with Mr. Klinzman this afternoon about this matter and have accepted his resignation."

An Iowa community college professor is under scrutiny after being exposed for supporting the far-left extremist group, Antifa.
The adjunct professor has told a local news outlet, "I am Antifa."

A KCRG-TV investigation revealed that Kirkwood Community College Adjunct Professor Jeff Klinzman, who the college's website lists under the English Department, claimed that he is part of Antifa, expressing support for them on his personal social media accounts. When contacted by the news outlets, Klinzman said, "I affirm that I am Antifa," but declined to be interviewed.

According to the report, he has not apologized for his participation in the group.

Klinzman's Facebook page is still active, and lists that he supports multiple accounts of the far-left organization, such as "Antifa Nebraska," "Heartland Antifascists," "Antifascist USA," "Iowa Antifa," as well as other leftist groups such as "Iowa City Democratic Socialists of America," and "U.S. Democratic Socialists." Klinzman has also "liked" Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders' official page.

Campus Reform reached out to both the Sanders presidential campaign as well as his Senate office but did not hear back.

According to the report, Klinzman commented on a screenshot of a tweet from President Donald Trump on the "Iowa Antifa" page by saying "Radical Left Wack Jobs who go around hitting...people over the heads with baseball bats. Yeah, I know who I'd clock with a bat...."

In 2012, Klinzman posted on Facebook that "This is what the country will come to if we don't stop Evangelical Christians," and then quoted an excerpt from what KCRG-TV termed a "poem," saying "Kill them all, and bury them deep into the ground, Before millions more are tortured to death."

He went on to say: "It's not pretty, and I'm not proud, but seeing what Evangelical Christians are doing to this country and its people fills me with rage and a desire to exact revenge."

According to the report, Klinzman said that his social media posts caused members of the Kirkwood Community College community to complain to the school.

A supposed parent of a Kirkwood Community College student posted on the school's social media page, saying "Parents...go to Jeff Klinzman's FB page. See the bias. See the pro communist posts. See the hate. See the advocacy for violence. Ask yourself why a man so filled with hate is teaching. Why am I spending thousands of dollars for a CC that supports Antifa hate?"

Klinzman has a 2.5 out of five rating on RateMyProfessors.com.

"Whatever you do, don't interrupt him when he's telling stories about his glory days of protesting, and how much of a rebel he thinks he still is," one anonymous user wrote in August 2017. "He's mean, he's a bigot, and he's sexist as heck. He treats the female students who aren't hairy pitted feminists like they are garbage."

"Way too opinionated and grades fluctuate based on your ideology," another review from that month claimed. "He will not admit he made an error, and will punish you for showing him it. Most of the assignment topics were taken from other college website curriculum."

A November 2018 review termed a class taught by the professor "very opinion-based."

Gabriel Nadales, who is an employee of Campus Reform's parent organization the Leadership Institute, but also a former Antifa member, told Campus Reform, "it would be great if Professor Jeff Klinzman was a lone supporter of Antifa, but unfortunately, there are many professors who support Antifa's violent ideology."

"As a Regional Field Coordinator for the Leadership Institute, I often work with students who tell me about their professors who profess a left-wing ideology which makes them hide their conservative views out of fear that the professor will dock their grade," Nadales said. "Professors have a duty to their students to be fair and balanced in the classroom."
Kudos to Kirkland Community College for removing an individual who seems more interested in indoctrinating his students than educating them.

The corporate-controlled media in the United States has effectively shut down all reporting on the death of the politically connected multi-millionaire sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, only one week after his body was discovered in a prison cell in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.

Epstein's death was the most widely reported American event in the first few days of the week, with hours of coverage on cable television, the lead story on nightly network news programs, and pages upon pages of reporting in the New York Times, Washington Post and other leading daily newspapers.

There was ample reason for such attention, particularly by the standards of the sensation-obsessed American media. Epstein was, at least by reputation, both fabulously wealthy and dangerously predatory. He travelled in the highest circles of bourgeois society, hobnobbing with ex-presidents, future presidents, British royalty and numerous billionaires, some of whom he claimed to have enriched enormously.

And his crimes against teenage girls and young women had already resulted in a 2008 felony conviction that led to a slap on the wrist in jail time, in keeping with his status as a member of the class of super-rich "money managers." Only hours before his death, moreover, 2,000 pages of new documents were released linking many prominent world figures, including Prince Andrew and several top Democrats, to Epstein's sex-trafficking activities.

Comment: The Epstein taint promises to be both deep and far-reaching, and any provable association with this case is a given liability. The story control lever, abruptly pulled, certainly raises interesting questions. Perception management? Too close to home? What do the media moguls not want the American public to know?

Seven people, including two children, have been killed in a collision between a helicopter and a small plane in Majorca.

Five people were on board the helicopter, two of them minors, and they were all likely to be German, the Balearic Islands government said on Twitter.

Two adult Spaniards were in the small plane. All the people on board the two aircraft were killed.

According to a Spanish news agency, the aircraft crashed into a field following the collision at 1.35pm local time.

A powerful natural gas explosion badly damaged an office complex and shopping center in Maryland on Sunday, officials said.

The explosion happened at about 8 a.m. in Columbia, Maryland, and no injuries were reported.

"It was so powerful it could be heard in communities many miles away," said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball in a statement.

Police and fire crews responded to multiple reports of hissing sounds coming from a large crack in a parking lot and made sure the buildings nearby were not occupied.

"Fortunately, because of their actions and because this happened on a Sunday morning when no one was inside the building, there are no reported injuries at this time," Ball said.

With about 1 billion health searches happening on Google every day, it's not hard to understand why censoring natural health information serves a multitude of interests, not the least of which is Big Pharma's bottom line.

A new analysis released by Bob Troia, Twitter handle Quantified Bob, reveals how health sites have been decimated by Google in the period tracked from April 15th, 2018 to August 15th, 2019.

He posted the following graphic on Twitter on August 25th, 2019, showing as high as a 99.87% decrease in visibility through Google search results, and a 81.14% drop for Greenmedinfo.com.

Comment: It's not really surprising that Google has made this change in their search algorithm, all but leaving alternative health websites out of their search results. Clearly they've given up on their original motto "Don't Be Evil".

An American Legion membership card fluttering down and landing softly on the blouse of an American Legion clerk results in the USS Liberty Veterans Association being BANNED from The American Legion National Convention FOREVER.

"You will not discuss the attack with anyone. Once the Court of Inquiry findings are released you will not contradict them. This order will remain in effect after you are discharged from the Navy. If you violate this order you will be prosecuted and will spend a considerable amount of time in a Federal Prison."

This order was repeated every day at quarters while we were in drydock in Malta.

If anyone tells of witnessing the deliberate machine gunning of our life rafts in the water, he runs the risk of doing time in a Federal prison.

If anyone tells of witnessing the use of unmarked aircraft or of the jamming of our radios on both US Navy tactical and international maritime distress frequencies, he runs the risk of doing time in a Federal prison.

We cannot talk about this among ourselves. We cannot talk about this with our family. We cannot talk about this with any counselor. We cannot talk about this at a meeting of any veterans group we may become involved with. We cannot talk about this with our Congressional Delegation. We cannot talk about this at The American Legion National Convention.

We cannot talk about this with anyone.

If we do, we risk Federal prison.

Comment: The treatment of the survivors of the USS Liberty has been a disgusting stain the U.S. government and military. Their subsequent treatment, and the total lack of justice, makes it only too clear that these American servicemen are second-class citizens. The Israeli murderers have more rights. The deliberate attack on the U.S. ship was covered up, the murderers faced zero consequences, and America's biggest "ally" got a free pass to stab the U.S. in the back. Israel is guilty of everything the Russians are accused of and more. The have lied, stolen, cheated, blackmailed and murdered with complete impunity. Israel is not the U.S.'s ally. It is a rogue state run by criminals.
