US again trying to control Greenland to dominate Arctic

greenland
In the summer of 2020, the U.S. intends to open its consulate in Greenland, as well as allocate $12.1 million to strengthen its presence on this island. According to the U.S. ambassador to Denmark, Carla Sands, the North American country will reopen a consulate in the capital city of Nuuk so it can "serve as our primary platform for increasing our daily interaction with the people of Greenland," which is a territory of Denmark.

According to the State Department, the $12.1 million tranche is intended for financial aid to Greenland and is supposedly not related to the desire previously expressed by U.S. President Donald Trump to buy the territory. As stated in a Greenland Government (Naalakkersuisut) press release, "the U.S. is focusing on sectors in Greenland that will benefit the economic development of Greenland, including the mineral industry, tourism and education."

At the same time, the State Department said "that the United States recognizes that Russia has legitimate Arctic interests. It's an Arctic Council member. It's cooperated with the United States and other Arctic states in a number of areas, including oil spill response, search and rescue, pollution issues. That work is continuing; it's ongoing; it's welcome. We have no concerns about it or no objections to it, and we want it to continue. But we also have concerns about Russia's military build-up in the Arctic." The State Department spokesman also said that the United States does "not accept Beijing's claims to be a near-Artic state" and that "its soft power tools generally have a sharp edge."

French government announces 'historic' €7 billion aid package for Air France-KLM

France said on Friday it was readying a "historic" package of multi-billion euro loans to help carmaker Renault and flag-carrier Air France through the crisis caused by the coronavirus.

For Air France, a seven billion euro ($7.5 billion) package is planned and for Renault five billion euro ($5.4 billion), Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire announced.

He said the package was needed to save Air France amid an unprecedented industry crisis but warned the money would come with strings attached, with the airline notably having to improve its environmental credentials.

Comment: Similar environmental conditions enforced on the farming industry - prior to the crisis - led to massive protests because of their unworkability, and so it's likely similar demands will be equally unhelpful to the airlines: Farmers roll out hundreds of tractors in German cities protesting new eco-rules

Comment: And unlike the UK, France, Poland and Denmark are refusing to bail out companies registered in offshore tax havens.

Leaked list reveals presence of Johnson adviser and Vote Leave ally on supposedly independent body

The prime minister's chief political adviser, Dominic Cummings, and a data scientist he worked with on the Vote Leave campaign for Brexit are on the secret scientific group advising the government on the coronavirus pandemic, according to a list leaked to the Guardian.

It reveals that both Cummings and Ben Warner were among 23 attendees present at a crucial convening of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) on 23 March, the day Boris Johnson announced a nationwide lockdown in a televised address.

Multiple attendees of Sage told the Guardian that both Cummings and Warner had been taking part in meetings of the group as far back as February. The inclusion of Downing Street advisers on Sage will raise questions about the independence of its scientific advice.

Tim has on journalist Whitney Webb to discuss Epstein, Bill Gates, China, and America becoming a surveillance state. Whitney, with permission from Maria Farmer, plays small clips from a 3.5 hour interview recently recorded, that in Whitney's opinion changed her perspective on the Epstein case.

Note for people watching the video: when playing the clips Whitney would instruct me what time stamps I would have to find from her 3.5 hour interview, so that's why there are jump cuts. At one point as well Whitney had to stop the interview to deal with something and we went right back to the pre-recorded call. None of what you heard in the Farmer phone call is edited to be misconstrued or sensationalized.

One of the more remarkable aspects of the Pandemic Pandemonium is the jettisoning of sombre death statistics for more headline friendly scary death statistics.

The CDC embraced scary death statistics by including cases where COVID-19 "is assumed to have caused or contributed to death".

Comment: They're really moving in for the kill, on ALL fronts. Now that word is spreading that nicotine protects against succumbing to viruses, govts everywhere are also banning the few remaining means of purchasing tobacco...

France has banned the online sale of nicotine products and limited their sale in pharmacies, after researchers suggested that nicotine may play a role in protecting against coronavirus.

The new rules cover products like nicotine gum and patches designed to help people stop smoking.

Last week, data from a Paris hospital indicated that smokers were statistically less likely to be admitted for treatment for Covid-19.

Trials are set to continue in France.

France has reported nearly 22,000 coronavirus-related deaths since the start of the outbreak earlier this year.

Best of the Web: Dr. Fauci had an assistant doctor fired and jailed in 2011 for warning that vaccines were giving Americans known chronic diseases

Fauci and Gates
Dr. Fauci, not only is connected to Bill Gates and together they are set to make millions on a coronavirus vaccine. But a little known story is how Dr. Fauci ruined the career of a brilliant young doctor who blew the whistle on the harmful consequences attributed to vaccines.

Dr. Judy Mikovitz was a brilliant young doctor with a promising career, until she discovered what she considered to be harmful consequences with vaccines. After she came out with her warnings, she was jailed for identifying the link between vaccines and chronic diseases.

In the first part of the video below, Dr. Mikovitz explains how she was jailed for speaking out about her concerns.

Comment: Given Dr. Fauci's allegiance to Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the corrupt World Health Organization, it should come as no surprise that he would, with 'extreme prejudice', fire a scientist with integrity who threatened to expose the deleterious effects vaccines had - and have - on millions of people. Such facts, if brought forward, would upend the entire vaccine industry - and likely throw many out of their seats of power among a number of the largest government-run health organizations, and billion dollar-generating pharmaceutical companies - including Fauci himself.

And from this article we learn more about Dr. Judy Mikovitz's story:
Top U.S. scientist and research pioneer Dr. Judy Mikovits said she cooperated with the FBI during an investigation of Dr. Anthony Fauci and the National Institute of Health, alleging Fauci was a workplace tyrant who was under investigation for swiping scientific research, covering up tainted vaccines, doling out lucrative federal grants to feckless cronies and much more.

Dr. Mikovits broke her long silence on the Thomas Paine Podcast and revealed an insider's nightmare spanning three decades of conducting research under the governmental control of Fauci. Dr. Mikovits said eventually her widespread allegations of fraud and abuse by Fauci helped spark an investigation by the FBI. Dr. Mikovits said she cooperated with federal law enforcement up through 2014. What happened to the probe? You won't even believe it when you hear it. Dr. Mikovits now accuses the FBI and Justice Department of a massive cover up to protect Fauci and his associates — and sweeping medical scams that continue to endanger Americans. Another FBI scandal. Another Justice Department scandal. And by the way, that was James Comey's FBI and Eric Holder's Justice Department. During the White House administration of Barack Obama. (more below)

These details warrant a host of NEW federal investigations to get to the bottom of numerous Fauci-led schemes revealed by Dr. Mikovits on the Thomas Paine Podcast. Paine also detailed the FBI probe on the Moore Paine Show on Patreon. Dr. Mikovits said Fauci helped imprison her after stealing her proprietary research not once, but twice and her allegations against the White House's coronavirus top medical advisor and his government cronies paint a disturbing portrait of widespread institutional corruption. And greed. The alarming allegations include: stealing research, covering up tainted vaccines, fraud and much more. And Fauci's parent agency, the National Institute of Health is not the only governmental agency involved in what amounts here to decades of corruption gone awry. US rightly snubs WHO's initiative to speed COVID-19 drugs, vaccine

World leaders pledged on Friday to accelerate work on tests, drugs and vaccines against COVID-19 and to share them around the globe, but the United States did not take part in the launch of the World Health Organization (WHO) initiative.

French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa were among those who joined a video conference to launch what the WHO billed as a "landmark collaboration" to fight the pandemic.

The aim is to speed development of safe and effective drugs, tests and vaccines to prevent, diagnose and treat COVID-19, the lung disease caused be the novel coronavirus - and ensure equal access to treatments for rich and poor.

"We are facing a common threat which we can only defeat with a common approach," WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said as he opened the virtual meeting.

Too right: Denmark and Poland refuse to bail out companies registered in offshore tax havens - UPDATE: France follows suit

Denmark and Poland are refusing to let companies registered in offshore tax havens access financial aid from their coronavirus bailout packages.

The Danish finance ministry on Saturday extended its bailout program into July but stressed that firms based in tax havens would no longer be covered.

"Companies seeking compensation after the extension of the schemes must pay the tax to which they are liable under international agreements and national rules," a translation of the statement said.

"Companies based on tax havens in accordance with EU guidelines cannot receive compensation, insofar as it is possible to cut them off under EU law and any other international obligations."

Comment: The cruise industry is not the only one muscling in on funds meant to support small business and families.
UPDATE 23/04/2020:
Business Insider reports France will join Poland and Denmark in blocking aid to firms registered in tax havens.
Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire announced Thursday that companies either registered in tax havens or controlling subsidiaries in them were ineligible for the 110 billion euro, or $108 billion, rescue package.

"It goes without saying that if a company has its tax headquarters or subsidiaries in a tax haven, I want to say with great force, it will not be able to benefit from state financial aid," Le Maire told the France Info radio station.

"There are rules that must be followed. If you have benefited from the state treasury, you cannot pay dividends and you cannot buy back shares," he said.

"And if your head office is located in a tax haven, it is obvious that you cannot benefit from public support."

The announcement follows a request for an amendment to the 2020 finance bill from a group of Centrist Union group senators, led by Nathalie Goulet, on Monday.

The amendment sought to exclude "companies whose subsidiaries or establishments are established in states and non-cooperative territories" from getting aid. The amendment passed Wednesday.

France is the third country to enforce such a measure amid the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus crisis.

Newly filed court documents include exculpatory evidence for Michael Flynn

New documents filed under seal in federal court include exculpatory information about former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, an FBI official told The Federalist on Friday.

New court documents filed under seal include significant exculpatory information about Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump's former National Security Adviser, an FBI official familiar with the situation told The Federalist on Friday. The new documents, which were filed under seal by the Department of Justice Friday, allegedly include exonerating evidence about Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about his conversations with foreign diplomats as Trump's top incoming foreign policy adviser and is currently attempting to withdraw his plea, as well as evidence of malfeasance by the FBI during its investigation of Flynn.

According to the FBI official who spoke to The Federalist, FBI general counsel Dana Boente led the charge internally against DOJ's disclosure of the new materials. Boente, who briefly served as acting Attorney General after Trump became president, personally signed off on one of the federal spy warrants against former Trump campaign affiliate Carter Page. The new documents, which were filed under a protective order by DOJ on Friday, will reflect poorly on the FBI, the official told The Federalist. It is not clear when, or even if, those documents will be unsealed and made available to the public for review.

Because the documents were filed under seal, The Federalist has not been able to review them independently. Neither the Department of Justice nor the White House responded to requests for comment about the newly filed court documents or their legal or political implications. Trump has reportedly been weighing whether to issue a pardon for Flynn.
Multiple investigative reports issued by the DOJ Office of Inspector General revealed myriad instances of corruption by FBI officials throughout the multi-year investigation of Trump and his campaign. Former FBI director James Comey was even referred for criminal investigation by the inspector general. Attorney General William Barr, who was confirmed by the Senate and sworn into office last year, appointed a seasoned federal prosecutor to investigate and determine whether other DOJ or FBI officials broke the law in attempt to oust Trump from office.

The federal judge overseeing the government's case against Flynn refused to throw out his conviction last year, but is still considering whether to allow Flynn to withdraw his guilty plea. Flynn has charged his previous counsel with a conflict of interest and ineffective counsel. Sidney Powell, Flynn's current attorney, did not respond immediately to a request for comment on the matter.

Powell tweeted last month that the FBI was "still hiding evidence of Flynn's innocence" and has noted repeatedly that the FBI has failed to produce the original written FBI account, known as a 302, of its agents' conversation with Flynn that led to charges against him.
