Flashback Ukraine was a playbook CIA coup d'état according to Prof Francis Boyle

The very first act of the western-backed insurrectionists which represent a small percentage of the population and have managed to overthrow the government was to attempt rob Russian speakers in Ukraine of their language.

This denial by the Bandera nazi [sic] extremists and the illegitimate power in Kiev of a basic human rights for a huge percentage of the population runs contrary to international law and the European Convention of Human Rights to which Ukraine is a signatory.

According to the United Nations General Assembly Declaration of Principles of International Law and under the terms of the United Nations Charter, effectively the Russia population have a right to secede from Ukraine. In an interview with the Voice of Russia Harvard Professor Francis Boyle says that there is no real government in Ukraine right now, and called it a gang of neo-Nazis, fascists and rightist thugs. There is clear cut discrimination against Russians in Ukraine with public demands in Kiev that Russians be killed. According to Professor Boyle what happened in Kiev was a playbook coup d'état by the CIA. Victoria Nuland, the Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs, working with the US Ambassador, were instrumental in carrying out the coup d'état, as it has been proven they were working with "the brown shirts": Svoboda, the right sector, the Bandera Nazis and skinheads.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson allegedly told his cabinet on Tuesday that he wants to provide Ukraine with "more lethal" military aid to help the country repel the Russian attack, The Times reported on Wednesday, citing a government source.

Western countries have been urgently supplying Ukraine with weapons after Moscow launched its military campaign on February 24. Kiev, however, has repeatedly asked for more aid, arguing that the current level of support is not enough.

Admiral Tony Radakin, the chief of the Defense Staff, was said to have stated at the same meeting that the UK was moving to a "new phase" of its support for Ukraine.

Putin signs decree creating ruble payment system for Russian gas to bolster currency

putin
President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree forcing some purchasers of Russian gas to set up a special account to pay for their supplies as the country tries to cope with the impact of Western sanctions imposed because of Moscow's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine last month.

Comment: "Unprovoked." RFE/RL will never give up their special breed of slimy journalism. For reality, see: Russia, Ukraine & the law of war: Crime of aggression

Putin said after signing the decree that, from April 1, buyers of Russian gas from what Russia deems "unfriendly" countries would have to set up special "K-accounts" to transfer their payments. Once the payment is received, the funds will be exchanged into rubles. The entire payment facility will be set up and run through Russia's Gazprombank, a subsidiary of state energy giant Gazprom.

Putin also said any country refusing to use the payment mechanism will be in violation of their contracts and face "corresponding repercussions."

European leaders have rejected paying for deliveries in rubles, saying such a move would undermine sanctions imposed on Moscow because of the war in Ukraine.

It is not clear if Russia can demand that buyers with contracts already agreed upon use the mechanism.

Comment: We guess they'll soon find out!

Comment: More details on the potential implications of this move:
Countries globally may soon have to create ruble reserves within their domestic economies if they wish to continue to buy Russian gas, as Moscow switches payments to its national currency, Ilya Ilyin, the head of the banking and financial markets analysis department at Promsvyazbank said on Thursday.

"In the event of a transition to gas payments in rubles, the partner countries will probably create a certain fund of ruble reserves to facilitate payments," the expert said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Thursday that the country is changing the payment mechanism for certain exports, starting with natural gas on April 1. The measure effects countries which have imposed sanctions on Russia in connection with Ukraine and froze Moscow's foreign reserves.

The 'unfriendly' states Putin referred to are the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Switzerland, the 27 nations of the European Union, and a number of smaller countries.

Moreover, according to Ilyin, it may be necessary to reduce Russia's reserves in the currencies of unfriendly countries, including the US dollar and euro, given the risk of sanctions-related freezing of payments.

Therefore, Russia itself should accumulate ruble reserves.

"With stable exports and budget revenues, an excess of rubles will be formed, which will be directed to state support or temporarily placed in banks," the expert suggested.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday that any NATO military presence in Central Asia would undermine the security of the Russian-led CSTO alliance, in the region, and would not be tolerated by Moscow.

The minister made his comment at an Afghanistan-themed summit in Tunxi, China.

"We believe it's unacceptable to have any US and NATO military infrastructure, or their Afghan helpers, on the territory of neighboring states, especially in Central Asia," Lavrov said, adding that "such designs go against the security interests of our countries."

He added that the existence of Western military sites would contradict the interests of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which has six members, all former Soviet states.

West wants Ukraine to be 'second Afghanistan' - Moscow

Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused the West of attempting to turn Ukraine into "a second Afghanistan." He was speaking during a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in China on Wednesday.

The remarks came ahead of a summit on the situation in the Central Asian country, which will take place on Thursday in Tunxi city, and will be attended, by China and Russia, as well as the US, and others.

"Those who tried to make Afghanistan the center of world politics are now trying to replace Afghanistan with Ukraine," Lavrov said.

Since 1978, Afghanistan has been a scene of multiple wars with numerous international players involved. American and other Western troops left Kabul last year after a two decade occupation, with the country falling to the Taliban soon after.

Comment: This is no mere theory or conjecture. Making Ukraine into a 'quagmire' for Russia has been openly stated by US foreign policy designers for years.

Ukraine accuses Red Cross of 'working for enemy'

Ukraine's deputy prime minister has accused the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) of "working for the enemy" after it allegedly assisted in the evacuation of residents from the city of Mariupol to Russia. She implied that the international aid organization was more interested in Russian money than in supporting the Ukrainian cause.

The barrage of accusations came from Iryna Vereshchuk, who is Ukraine's highest-ranking parliamentarian with responsibility for humanitarian affairs. She reiterated Kiev's claims that Moscow was forcefully abducting Ukrainians from Mariupol, the port city that has seen some of the worst fighting since the month-long Russian attack on Ukraine began. The ICRC had helped with those evacuations, she has alleged.

"Ukraine never agreed to a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to Russia. That's obvious. They are occupiers. They are enemies. Not peacemakers. The Red Cross had no right to help evacuate people there," she said in an interview with Ukraine's Strana news outlet.

Comment: The fact that one of the highest government officials in Ukraine is angry that their own people are being helped out of war zones is in itself proof Kiev is using their own people as human shields. The abduction allegation is not even flimsy, and it shows the Kiev government for who they are and what they are doing.
