Fines are piling up for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) over her failure to resolve a New York state tax warrant filed against her defunct business five years ago.

New York state filed a tax warrant against Brook Avenue Press, a children-focused publishing house Ocasio-Cortez founded in 2012, on July 6, 2017, to collect $1,618 in unpaid corporate taxes. Ocasio-Cortez has yet to pay a penny of her overdue corporate taxes, causing the current balance of the tax warrant to swell by 52% to $2,461 as of Wednesday afternoon.

New York dissolved Brook Avenue Press in October 2016, state corporate records show. The state filed its tax warrant against Ocasio-Cortez's defunct business about two months after she launched her successful primary campaign against former Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY).

The Assassination of Abe

© Corbett Report
As you no doubt know by now, Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, was assassinated in broad daylight on Friday.

So what happened? Who was responsible? And what does it mean?

Following are the results of an open source investigation conducted by The Corbett Report community to compile all the known information about the incident and to put that information into its proper context.

Comment: More from RT:
"It's not a grudge against the political beliefs of former prime minister Abe," police in the western prefecture of Nara, where the incident took place, told reporters.

The name of the "specific organization" was not released, but investigators said it was apparently religious in nature - if it actually exists.

According to local media reports, citing investigative sources, the suspect had initially planned to slay the leader of this group, believing it was responsible for bankrupting his mother by continuously leaching donations from her.

...

Nara police admitted that security at the campaign event was flawed and did not provide enough protection for Abe.

"It is undeniable that there were problems in the security," a police official told a news conference on Saturday. Earlier, local police officials told media that the request for security at the event had been "sudden."

Retard western media can't spell 'ABE Shinzo', feign commiseration

Assassination in Japan: ABE Shinzo, former Prime Minister, shotgunned by ex-Soldier Buddhist.

The 'Cool Japan' showman and ex-Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party was apparently gunned down by a certain YAMAGAMI Tetsuya (41), who had military training and who had assembled a DIY-twin barreled shotgun that looked like a lot like a movie prop from Mad Max or the Fist of North Star.
The Shooter

Mr. ABE, globally recognized for his dysfunctional "Abenomics" (aka supervised economic decline), was shot twice in neck and heart-lung from behind. He collapsed to the ground and rolled on his back, not reacting.

The deadly shots were fired at 11:29 am on Friday, July 8, 2022. There were about 20 women-aids and civilians close by, and about a hundred watchers some 50 feet away, but not at all a mass of spectators or some mass panic or anything. That's why all those perfect pictures could be taken. The politician lay down next to a street crash barrier like roadkill.

Security jumped YAMAGAMI, who looked like Akira from the cyberpunk saga. A lean man, with full black hair and glasses, stood in the background for some while.

The EU is building an €8m secure bunker in Brussels so that leaders can discuss secrets without Russian or other eavesdroppers, according to an EU memo describing the project, seen by EUobserver.

The chamber could host around 100 people — up to 34 leaders and their 34 note-takers, as well as protocol, technical, and catering staff.

The EU has 27 members, but could expand in future, and the secure room will also be used for lower-level meetings by ambassadors and senior EU officials.

The room will be offline but equipped with internal big-screen conferencing technology and microphones hardwired to equally secure booths for 30 interpreters.

Italian MEPs back GMOs claiming 'climate crisis', cattle now being fed GMOs because of anti-Russia sanctions

Italian lawmakers have expressed support for the use of genetic modification techniques in agriculture to achieve more resilient crop varieties in light of the heat waves and droughts that are currently affecting Italy and other parts of Europe.

The plea from Italian lawmakers was made on Thursday (7 July) during an exchange with EU Commissioner for Foresight and Interinstitutional Relations Maroš Šefčovič at the European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg.

The debate focused on possible adaptation strategies as heatwaves and droughts become more frequent due to climate change.

"Europe will have to be able to address the issue with measures beyond emergency measures," said Italian MEP Antonio Tajani, a former EU Commissioner in charge of entreprise and industry.

Comment: Just two examples show how little Europe's establishment cares about providing food for its citizens and those elsewhere: It is currently responsible for blocking grain and fertilizer shipments from Russia, one of the world's largest grain and fertilizer providers; it is preventing Africa from creating its own fertilizer plants, because that would go against its own 'green goals'.

Germany, however, has exempted itself from some of these 'green goals' as it restarts its own coal plants, because, after also sanctioning Russian gas, it won't have enough energy for its citizens come this winter.

Comment: As we've seen elsewhere - such as the Netherlands attempting to shut down farms because of 'nitrogen' - the establishment is using the chaos created by their manufactured crisis in Ukraine to force through a raft of nefarious legislation that, otherwise, would probably cause uproar amongst its peoples and be rightly stopped.

Another European PM resigns: Estonia's first ever female PM resigns after party fractured over attempt to ban Russian language in schools

Kaja Kallas, Estonia's first-ever female prime minister, submitted her resignation to President Alar Karis on Friday. The move is part of a month-long effort to put together a new coalition government, after Kallas lost the support of her erstwhile junior partner and with it the parliamentary majority. A new cabinet will include three parties and, once it's finalized, the Riigikogu is expected to approve Kallas as the PM again.

"I myself submitted this resignation proposal," Kallas told the Estonian outlet Delfi, explaining that she wished to avoid "noise and discontent" if she simply appointed new ministers.

Comment: Well she didn't have much choice but to resign, she lost the confidence of her partner who provided her with the majority, she could have clung to power but she probably wouldn't have lasted long.

The announcement came after her Reform party reached a power-sharing deal with two smaller parties, the Social Democrats and Isamaa (Fatherland).

China is calling the United States "the biggest threat to world peace, stability and development," continuing its sharp rhetoric in response to U.S. accusations of Chinese spying and threats to the international order

The United States is "the biggest threat to world peace, stability and development," China said Thursday, continuing its sharp rhetoric in response to U.S. accusations of Chinese spying and threats to the international order.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian's comments came a day after the head of the FBI and the leader of Britain's domestic intelligence agency raised fresh alarms about the Chinese government, warning business leaders that Beijing is determined to steal their technology for competitive gain.

The heightened tone comes ahead of a meeting Saturday between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Group of 20 leading rich and developing nations' ministers summit in Bali, Indonesia.

Comment: The "rules-based order", as opposed to international law, is set up to benefit the U.S. China is not the only country chafing under it.

West is struggling to compete with Asia and Africa - BRICS forum president to RT

Anand

The West is finding it more difficult to compete with Asian and African countries as people in these regions are beginning to understand the value of their own natural resources, the president of the BRICS international forum, Purnima Anand, said in an interview with RT on Thursday.

Anand argued that for a long time Western nations had been trying to establish the supremacy of the US dollar by exploiting the human and natural resources of other countries and continents. However, she noted, as the level of education increases, the people of Asia, Africa and other regions are beginning to understand the value of their own natural resources and their own development potential, and are now beginning to compete with Europe.

"The competition in Europe which they had among European countries is now flowing towards other continents and other countries," stated Anand, claiming that the EU is beginning to lose competitiveness.

Comment: Shear numbers will dictate the future as nations ditch the West for an equal-partner format, new financial direction and unexploitable wealth.

Moscow ends all operation of the Jewish Agency in Russia

Russia instructs the Jewish Agency to halt all operations amidst mounting anger towards "Israel", its stance towards Ukraine and its aggressions in Syria.
Putin with Rabbi

The Jewish Agency has been instructed by the Russian government to stop all operations inside the nation, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

The directive was stated in a letter the Russian government sent earlier this week. Jewish Agency representatives acknowledged that the letter had been received, but they declined to comment on the organization's planned response, which is presently being discussed in its headquarters in occupied Al-Quds in conjunction with the Foreign Ministry and the Prime Minister's Office.

In a response to a question by the Jerusalem Post, the agency claimed that "As part of the work of the Jewish Agency's delegation in Russia, we are occasionally required to make certain adjustments, as required by authorities," adding that "The contacts with the authorities take place continuously, with the aim of continuing our activities in accordance with the rules set by the competent bodies. Even nowadays, such a dialogue takes place."

The order comes amid growing tension between "Israel" and Russia over "Tel Aviv's" support for Kiev and its leader, Volodymyr Zelensky, in the continuing conflict in Ukraine. Russia's foreign ministry requested an immediate end to the assaults on Syria on Monday, describing the Israeli attacks as intolerable.

Piece by professor said hunger was "fundamental to the working of the world's economy."

The United Nations was forced to delete a weird 'satirical' article which celebrated the 'benefits' of world hunger after an online backlash.

Originally published in 2008, the article, titled 'The Benefits of World Hunger', was recently reposted to the UN's Chronicle magazine.

Comment: Given that we are currently facing a rather serious food insecurity problem, the timing of republishing this piece was extremely poorly thought out. Who thought this was going to land well?
