Missouri swimmer infected with rare brain-eating amoeba, first case ever discovered in Iowa

A Missouri resident is hospitalized in intensive care after being infected with a rare brain-eating amoeba that likely happened after swimming in a southeastern Iowa lake, health officials said Friday.

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services has shut down the beach at Lake of Three Fires State Park in Taylor County after the person was diagnosed with primary amebic meningoencephalitis, a rare and usually fatal infection caused by the Naegleria fowleri amoeba.

"The closure is a precautionary response to a confirmed infection of Naegleria fowleri in a Missouri resident with recent potential exposure while swimming at the beach," according to a release from Iowa health officials.

Chile is known to be the most economically developed country in Latin America, with a GDP per capita of $28,500 - about the same as Bulgaria. It's therefore not surprising the country's vaccine rollout proceeded rapidly. As a matter of fact, by mid June of last year, the country had double-vaccinated a greater share of the population than the U.K. or U.S.

Comment: The same scenario is happening in Singapore also. Excess mortality after a mass vaccination campaign in the country.

The research in the UK showed that, not only is there is no efficacy of the vaccine against COVID, but it actually increased the risk of getting a severe form of the infection.

A vaccine effectiveness of minus-100% means the vaccinated are twice as likely to be infected than the unvaccinated.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Denmark and Sweden took very different approaches. While Denmark imposed mask mandates, closed schools and repeatedly closed so-called 'non-essential' businesses, Sweden imposed hardly any all-encompassing restrictions. Lockdown proponents have accused the Swedish authorities of recklessness and claimed their approach has led to an unnecessary death toll.

But now the numbers are out, and according to two Danish professors, Christian Kanstrup Holm, a virologist and Professor at the University of Aarhus, and Morten Petersen, Professor of Biology at the University of Copenhagen, in an article in the Danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende on July 8th, excess mortality in 2020 and 2021 was in fact the same in both countries.

In Denmark, harsh restrictions were justified by the need to prevent the breakdown of the healthcare system and the public has generally accepted this justification. The professors' conclusion however is that this justification does not hold: despite very few restrictions in Sweden, the Swedish healthcare system was never even close to breaking down.

VAERS data released Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show 1,329,135 reports of adverse events from all age groups following COVID-19 vaccines, including 29,273 deaths and 241,910 serious injuries between Dec. 14, 2020, and July 1, 2022.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today released new data showing a total of 1,329,135 reports of adverse events following COVID-19 vaccines were submitted between Dec. 14, 2020, and July 1, 2022, to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). That's an increase of 14,541 adverse events over the previous week.

VAERS is the primary government-funded system for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S.

Uruguay halts COVID-19 vaccine for kids under 13, judge demands government officials turn over Pfizer contracts

Uruguay suspended COVID-19 vaccines for children under 13 after a judge on Thursday issued an injunction halting vaccinations in that age group until government officials turn over its contracts with Pfizer.

Uruguayan government officials and Pfizer were ordered on Wednesday to appear in court after judge Alejandro Recarey gave them 48 hours to present detailed information on Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine while the court considered an injunction request to halt COVID-19 vaccinations for children 5 and older.

The government said a confidentiality clause in the contract prevents it from producing the documents, The Washington Post reported.

Comment: Good on the judge Alejandro Recarey! Sadly it comes a little too late for many children:
As of Thursday, 44% of Uruguayan children between ages 5 and 11 and 75% of those between 12 and 14 have received two doses of coronavirus vaccine, according to Uruguay government data.

Last week we wrote about the new "polio outbreak" reported in the UK and around the world, and how it was likely yet another constructed narrative designed to sell yet more vaccines.

After all, it was reported that the market for polio vaccines had "stagnated" through 2021, and the first-ever vaccine granted approval under emergency use license by the World Health Organization was a new "triple-locked" polio vaccine.

In early June, the WHO granted Chinese pharmaceutical giant SINOVAC international approval for their new polio vaccine too.

So, they had brand new products, but no one to buy them.

The motive was there to create a population of 'incentivised' customers. That's a simple mechanic of marketing we're all very familiar with.

Since March, Israel has been running the "Operation Two Drops", a polio vaccination drive (using that new "emergency use" polio vaccine), which apparently resulted in a huge increase in vaccine uptake in children of all ages.

This program was reported to be "over" just yesterday, with the Jerusalem Post headlining that "Israel's polio outbreak finally under control".

Just as with the Covid "vaccines", Israel has acted as the world's guinea pig.

Following the proclaimed "polio outbreak" in London (yes, they're actually calling it an outbreak despite literally zero reported cases) the UK government declared an "emergency" and laid plans to "increase vaccine coverage".

The EU meanwhile has pledged to provide 40 million euros worth of polio vaccines to Afghanistan,

And just today Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Mozambique announced they have already administered over 36 million doses of polio vaccines as part of a new joint initiative, despite the region reporting just two cases in the whole of 2022.

So, clearly, a big part of this is selling vaccines.

Evidence from Europe suggests the vaccines did save lives.

The EU country with the highest excess mortality, Bulgaria, also has the lowest vaccination rate. By the end of 2021, only 36% of Bulgarians over 60 had been doubled vaccinated. Meanwhile, the EU country with the lowest excess mortality, Denmark, is one that managed to keep deaths to a minimum until completing the vaccine rollout. As of January 1st, 99% of Danes over 60 were double vaccinated.

However, this does not mean the vaccines' effectiveness against death is as high as 90%, or even close to that. Numerous countries around the world have seen large spikes in excess mortality after their vaccine rollouts. These spikes invariably coincided with waves of Covid infections, showing that - despite high levels of vaccination - many people were still dying.

One interesting case study is Lithuania, which has the second highest excess mortality in the EU. You might assume, therefore, that it would have a low vaccination rate. But it doesn't. By the end of 2021, 78% of Lithuanians over 60 had been double vaccinated - the highest level in Eastern Europe.

Comment: Mortality spiked due to a confluence of factors, one of which was vaccine.
