Miranda Andersson, American student deported Sweden
Miranda Andersson - Private picture
American student Miranda Andersson, was told to leave Sweden after she didn't have enough money in her bank account for a short period.

Andersson, who studies at the Uppsala University, transferred some money to her parents' account in the United States for safe-keeping.

Therefor her balance dropped below the ($10,126), the amount foreign students should have in their bank account to get a residence permit.

The American student immediately returned the money to her Swedish bank account when she realised her error.

Comment: While these insane liberal policies appear to make little sense, these decisions are part of an overall objective to radically change European countries by completely overwhelming the native population. Vlogger Logan Paul's scandalous videos trigger new YouTube punishment laws

Tasteless videos by scandal hit vlogger Logan Paul have seemingly led YouTube to reconsider how it punishes people who carry out "heinous pranks" or "demonstrate cruelty" online.

YouTuber Logan Paul recently had his ad revenue on the site suspended following outrage at his videos, which appeared to show a suicide victim in Japan, as well as one where the vlogger tasered a dead rat.

Paul, who has 16 million online subscribers, was also slammed for disrepecting Japanese culture for a December video showing him donning traditional dress and fighting in Tokyo. In the clip, the controversial internet star is also filmed buying and then smashing up a Gameboy color before trying to return it to the shop.

School district removes two literary classics cuz snowflake students say they make them 'uncomfortable'

empty schoolroom
© GettyA school district in Minnesota is removing two literary classics from their list of required reading because they make students feel "uncomfortable."
American literary classics "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" are read by most high school students nationwide. But students in Duluth, Minnesota, will no longer be required to read the novels.

And the reason why encapsulates political correctness culture.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the books will be dropped from high school English classes' list of required reading in an effort to "be considerate of all students" because the books contain racial slurs.

The books were required reading for ninth- and 11th-grade English classes in Duluth Public Schools, but will be optional next school year.

Comment: History isn't pretty. Trying to protect students from that fact by removing all evidence of it from the curriculum is not doing these students any favours. It just encourages them to remain helpless within their little snowflake bubble.

Germany spends €50,000 a year to look after single 'child' refugee

Angela Merkel
One region spent €105.2m in 2017. Official figures show around 43% aren't children.

It costs around €50,000-a-year to look after a single unaccompanied young refugee in Germany, and just one region spent a total of €105.2m was spent on housing and support for them in 2017, according to reports.

Official figures published by the German government show 43% of unaccompanied child migrants are actually adults, and some are allowed to be cared for by child welfare services until the age of 27.

Comment: Breitbart reports more on the advantages that come to grown men who pretend they're 'child refugees':
Many asylum seekers have claimed to be underage because it is much harder for the German government to deport underage asylum seekers and many get preferential treatment.

According to Afghan asylum seeker Hussein K., the suspected murderer of German student Maria Ladenburger, he lied about his age to receive better benefits saying, "if you're a minor, the situation in Germany is better."

Germany is not the only country facing a large number of asylum seekers lying about their age. In Austria last year, authorities found almost 1,000 asylum seekers had lied about being under eighteen. An Austrian policeman commented on the issue at the time, saying: "It is absurd for us to see grown men with beards and greying hair that claim to be 17 years of age."

Without Russia Winter Olympics viewing numbers are "worst ever"

g Russian flag colors in proper order, sneaky and wonderful Serbia
Serbian team reversed its flag colors for the uniform -- opting for a color order as it appears on the banned Russian flag
Last night's coverage of the opener of the 2018 Winter Olympics received one of the worst ratings ever, a result of organisers deciding to keep Russia from participating.

"I am no longer fond of Olympic games. There are too many sport disciplines, too much cheating, too much money and too many politics involved in the Olympics," at least one Canadian viewer told FWM.

The Norwegian team was rumored to have brought some 6 000 doses of asthma medicine for its athletes. Even if the rumour is false, it makes a valid point, because such drugs are exempted by the anti-doping agency if some doctor simply certifies that an athlete "needs" them.

Top EU official Corina Cretu says it is very important to stop migrant segregation in several European ghettos.

"If we allow ghettos or segregation of migrants, this will become a nuclear bomb in the future", Cretu said. The European Commissioner wants to spend millions of the EU's cohesion policy budget to boost social integration.

Cretu spoke at the Thomson Reuters Foundation this week at the World Urban Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She said social integration will be crucial in the years to come.

German workers have won the right to a 28-hour week in a victory towards their fight for a better work-life balance.

Industrial union IG Metall, Europe's largest trade union, has won its workers the right to work the equivalent of under six hours each day in a deal that could eventually impact almost 4 million people in the country.

The collective deal covers around 900,000 metal and engineering workers in the south-western state of Baden-Württemberg, but it is expected to prompt changes across the country and in other industries.

Propaganda

Glenn Greenwald: Is fake news used by Russia or is it about Russia?

yellow journalism MSM lies
Every empire needs a scary external threat, led by a singular menacing villain, to justify its massive military expenditures, consolidation of authoritarian powers, and endless wars. For the five decades after the end of World War II, Moscow played this role perfectly. But the fall of Soviet Union meant, at least for a while, that the Kremlin could no longer sustain sufficient fear levels. After some brief, largely unsuccessful auditions for possible replacements - Asian actors like China and a splurging Japan were considered - the post-9/11 era elevated a cast of Muslim understudies to the starring role: Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, ISIS and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and "jihadism" generally kept fear alive.

The lack of any 9/11-type catastrophic attack on U.S. (or any Western) soil for the past 17 years, along with the killing of a pitifully aged, ailing bin Laden and the erosion of ISIS, has severely compromised their ongoing viability as major bad guys. So now - just as a film studio revitalizes a once-successful super-villain franchise for a new generation of moviegoers - we're back to the Russians occupying center stage.

Comment: Greenwald does a good job of calling out the propaganda. When it's collected and presented in such a manner, it's hard for anyone to continue believing the garbage that comes out of the mainstream media and government officials. Now if only people would read it.

Diversity is far from the panacea it's made out to be

diversity
The issue of racial and gender diversity in our schools, companies, and communities has become highly politicized. While one tribe sees diversity as an imperative cure-all for many of the world's problems, another tribe sees diversity as a form of tokenism at best, and a nefarious conspiracy at worst. Even political moderates can have a visceral reaction to the term "diversity" and may accept any line of thinking that validates their reaction, leading to shallow reasoning on all fronts. Rather than advocate for a particular position in this essay, I hope to add some nuance to the conversation and show that the truth is much more complicated than many are willing to admit.

A 2017 Audi ad showed a scrappy little girl in a box car race. Her worried father asks, "Do I tell her that despite her education, her skills, her drive, her intelligence, she will automatically be valued as less than every man she ever meets?"

This year, a T-Mobile spot assured a group of adorable babies: "You will demand fair and equal pay. ... You will be heard, not dismissed."
