While the Arabs of the Persian Gulf concluded from the war against Iran that Israel was a predator and that the United States was not the world's policeman, Americans still don't know what to think of Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition. "Revisionist Zionists" are trying to introduce pro-Israel candidates into the Republican and Democratic parties, while the majority of voters no longer want to support this genocidal state. Moreover, they are trying to turn the Gulf Arabs against Iran and revive the Israeli operation in Lebanon.

The Islamabad memorandum [ 1 ] not only established peace in the Persian Gulf. It also stipulated that Iran would receive $300 billion, not as "war reparations," but as "investment." In doing so, it implicitly acknowledged the victory of the Islamic Republic.

This victory does not signify the military defeat of the United States, but rather the political defeat of a particular camp within the United States. Those who have lost are the traditional supporters of Israel who refuse to acknowledge the massacres of civilians perpetrated by the so-called "Jewish state" in Palestine and Lebanon.

The defeat of the revisionist Zionists

The blindness of those complicit with the State of Israel stems from their inability to judge this state for what it does, not for what it claims to be. They confuse their dream of a homeland that would be a refuge for the victims of European pogroms with the reality of a state governed by fascists, in the historical sense of the term.

This confusion is all the more surprising given that they had rightly distinguished between civilians and combatants during the Palestinian operation "Al-Aqsa Flood." Some of them had not contested the inalienable right of Palestinians to resist the Israeli occupation, but had denounced the massacres of civilians. In doing so, they were mocking the memory of Izz al-Din al-Qassam (1882-1935) — who gave his name to the Hamas brigades. Far from being a resistance fighter, this man was first and foremost an anti-Semite who gloried in massacring Jewish civilians.

Today, the "revisionist Zionists," that is, the followers of Vladimir Ze'ev Jabotinsky, are rallying around Benjamin Mileikowsky-Netanyahu to overthrow President Donald Trump. They are relying on all those living in the confusion I have just described.

Let me remind you that the "Revisionist Zionists," followers of Jabotinsky, have always been vehemently opposed to the "Zionists" (plain and simple) of Theodor Herzl. The two groups waged a bitter war, from Jabotinsky's alliance with Ukrainian "integral nationalists" to massacre Soviet Jews, to Jabotinsky's support for Duce Benito Mussolini [ 2 ] , and even negotiations with the Nazis to seize the property of Hungarian Zionists [ 3 ] . Admittedly, this conflict was put on hold by the first Israeli Prime Minister, David Grün-Ben-Gurion, during the creation of their shared state, on the condition that Jabotinsky's remains would never be buried in Israel. Nevertheless, this conflict has resumed today with the "legislative coup" that amended the country's fundamental laws and paved the way for a dictatorship. Over the past three years, the majority of Israelis have loudly protested against these "reforms," supported by the vast majority of former army and security officials.

The massacres we have witnessed did not arise from nowhere. They are the application of a policy already implemented in the 1920s, that is to say before Nazism; a policy universally condemned at the end of the Second World War.

The succession of Donald Trump

Supporters of this policy in the United States have rallied around the Adelson Foundation, named after the Ukrainian casino owner in Las Vegas. They initially funded Marco Rubio's candidacy in 2016, then Donald Trump's in 2023. Today, on the Republican side, they are again supporting Marco Rubio, and on the Democratic side, Rahm Emanuel [ 4 ] .

Given the Democrats' visceral reaction to the massacres committed by Benjamin Netanyahu, the "revisionist Zionists" are keeping in reserve a less controversial candidate, the governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro.

On the Republican side, their candidate is the current Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. He had already benefited from the support of the late Sheldon Anderson during his 2015 campaign. The old Ukrainian-Israeli-American casino magnate saw him as another child of immigrants and had taken a liking to him.

Saving the Abraham Accords

One consequence of the Islamabad memorandum is that the United Arab Emirates has, once again, changed its position. In the past, they were very committed to the Palestinian cause, which they largely financed through Prince Ahmed, one of Sheikh al-Zayed's sons. But he was assassinated by the CIA in Morocco in 2010. He was the younger brother of the current ruler of Abu Dhabi and president of the seven United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. However, the latter changed his mind again in 2020. He decided on an alliance with Israel against Iran, to which the Emirates owed a portion of their wealth (the port of Dubai served to circumvent the US siege of Iran). They therefore signed the Abraham Accords, alongside Bahrain.

However, when Israel and the United States attacked Iran, the Emirates did not understand the Iranian reaction, which involved bombing them. They tried by all means to obtain a favorable vote from the United Nations Security Council [ 6 ] , then from the International Maritime Organization [ 7 ] , before realizing and admitting that, placed in the same situation, they would have acted like Iran [ 8 ] . Therefore, the Emirates secretly agreed last week to sit down at the negotiating table with their former Iranian allies.

Similarly, Saudi Arabia, which had restored diplomatic relations with Iran in 2023 under Chinese pressure, had assured President Trump before the war that it saw no problem with the Pentagon overthrowing the Islamic Republic. Then Saudi Arabia reacted angrily to Iran's military response on its own soil. But today, it is drawing its own conclusions from the conflict: Israel is prepared to do anything to carve out an empire, and the United States, far from protecting its vassals, is turning them into targets. Riyadh is therefore preparing a reconciliation summit that will bring together all the Gulf states, including Iran.

It was in this context that Marco Rubio traveled to the Emirates, Kuwait, and finally Bahrain from June 23 to 25, where he met with all the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He attempted to revive the Abraham Accords [ 9 ] , especially since the person in charge of this matter since their signing, Donald Trump's Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, no longer hides the fact that he now considers Netanyahu to be mentally ill.

But Marco Rubio's efforts were unsuccessful.

The Lebanese question

So, the Secretary of State, back in Washington, forced the Lebanese ambassador, Nada Hamadé Mouawad, to sign, on June 27, a "framework agreement" and a "secret annex" with the United States and Israel. This involved revising what had been agreed upon in the Islamabad memorandum, negotiated by Jared Kushner and JD Vance. The latter stipulated "the permanent end of the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon" (Article 1).

In contrast, Marco Rubio's "framework" stated:
"The Israeli Government emphasizes that its military actions in Lebanon are solely a consequence of the attacks, the threat they represent, and the hostile intent of non-state armed groups, particularly Hezbollah."(Article 5) [ 10 ] .
This is about validating the Israeli rhetoric that the Jewish state never attempted to annex Lebanon, but was merely responding to the actions of a terrorist group; a narrative that ignores Léon Blum's attempt to create the State of Israel in Lebanon (1936); the 1948 Arab-Israeli war (which ended with the victory of the British forces in Transjordan); the 1982 Israeli invasion; and the 2006 invasion.

This framework denies that Hezbollah is the core of the Lebanese resistance to the invasion. It suggests that the resistance is what instigates the occupation, not the other way around. No one can doubt it: the signed text is still not on the Lebanese presidency's website. The Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, immediately announced that it would not be ratified, and many leaders have already rejected it. This is not a matter of sectarianism, but of Lebanese identity.

Following the signing of the Islamabad memorandum, Hezbollah had put up large posters along the highway that crosses Lebanon. These posters featured portraits of the two Khamenei, Ali and Mojtaba, and the inscription "Thank you Iran." Hezbollah removed them on Saturday to make way for posters from the Ministry of Tourism. But on Sunday, these were replaced with other posters depicting the Lebanese flag and the inscription "Lebanon First" (meaning without its resistance). Immediately, motorists parked their cars and burned the posters.
