A police chief has said he wants to discriminate against white job applicants and hire more ethnic minority officers.

Chief Constable John Robins of West Yorkshire Police has consistently pushed to reform laws across the country in order to boost the number of ethnic minorities in his force.

Mr Robins, who has been an officer for West Yorkshire Police since 1990, was appointed as its chief in 2019 and has overseen the dramatic new changes to its recruitment policy in recent years.

The force, which is currently putting applications from white Brits on hold, said it is accepting them 'all year round' from 'under-represented groups' such as black and Asian candidates.

One whistleblower who revealed the change in the hiring process said candidates from different backgrounds were being split into tiers, according to The Telegraph.

Claiming it held a "command and control center used by Hamas," Israel chose Palm Sunday to bomb the only Christian hospital in war-shattered Gaza. It was also the last fully-functioning hospital in Gaza City. No casualties from the bombing per se were reported by Gaza's civil emergency service. However, a child who'd been hospitalized for a head wound died from "the rushed evacuation process," said the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which runs the al Ahli Arab Hospital. The diocese is part of the Anglican Church.

Citing Gaza Civil Defense, Middle East Eye reports that the bombs resulted in "the destruction of the surgery building and the oxygen generation station for the intensive care units." St. Philip's Church was one of multiple nearby buildings that also suffered damage. The IDF attributed the low casualty count to its effort to "mitigate harm to civilians or to the hospital compound, including issuing advanced warnings in the area of the terror infrastructure, the use of precise munitions, and aerial surveillance."

A local journalist told BBC that the IDF called an emergency room doctor and urged the hospital's immediate evacuation, saying "You have only 20 minutes to leave." A previously-injured Khalil Bakr said he and his three wounded daughters -- two amputees and a third "full of platinum plates" -- managed to get out of the hospital just a couple minutes before destruction rained down.

"Follow the science" they say, right up until they destroy it

In August 2021, as the masses were being coerced and cajoled into vaccinations, the government announced a gigantic long term study with 10,000 Australians that would run for five years. They promised they would include the vaccinated and unvaccinated, and generate 100,000 samples, and 11 million datapoints. No stone would be left unturned to make sure the vaccines were safe and effective. "The Science" was being used to reassure the people.

Less than two years later the data must have looked terrible, because they suddenly stopped the study. They muttered something about archiving the data until more funding was available. (Sure, sure). Now, they want to quietly destroy the data and make sure no one can ever use it, or find out the secrets it hides with an FOI application. The cost of the entire project was $20 million, a pitifully small fraction of the $18 billion we spent on Australia's Covid 19 treatment experiments, and it's nothing compared to the human cost of suffering involved. Now, we're trying to save a few dollars because the National Archives can't afford to buy another 8 Tb hard drive from Officeworks or spend 0.1% of the Covid budget renting a cool room in a warehouse. Does anyone believe these excuses any more?

Tell the children, "Government ScienceTM" is nothing more than a tool of persuasion and marketing. It's just a brand-name abused for profit and power.

A cynic might say those who set this study up did it purely for the purpose of "radiating confidence" in vaccines, and they never intended to finish it. But we know that if a miracle happened and the results had turned out well, they'd be running adverts, going on talkshows and sending a star recruit with a QoVax badge on a spaceflight with Katy Perry.

An exercise by the UN agency earlier this month simulated an outbreak of a "fictional" virus spreading across the world

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently rehearsed a scenario in which an ancient virus lying dormant in the remains of a woolly mammoth caused a deadly global outbreak of "mammothpox," The Telegraph has reported, citing documents about the exercise it had obtained.

The press release by the global health authority stated that earlier this month more than 15 countries took part in Exercise Polaris, which "simulated an outbreak of a fictional virus spreading across the world," aiming to test readiness for a new pandemic.

1) In the WHO press release, there was 4 April 2025:
The two-day simulation, Exercise Polaris, tested WHO's Global Health Emergency Corps (GHEC), a framework designed to strengthen countries' emergency workforce, coordinate the deployment of surge teams and experts, and enhance collaboration between countries.

The exercise simulated an outbreak of a fictional virus spreading across the world.

Participating countries included Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ethiopia, Germany, Iraq, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mozambique, Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar, Somalia Uganda and Ukraine, with additional countries as observers. Each country participated through its national health emergency coordination structure and worked under real-life conditions to share information, align policies and activate their response.

Regional and global health agencies and organizations, including Africa CDC, European CDC, IFRC, IOM, UNICEF and established emergency networks such as the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network, the Emergency Medical Teams initiative, Stand-by partners and the International Association of National Public Health Institutes, worked together to support country-led responses. More than 350 health emergency experts connected globally through this exercise.

"This exercise proves that when countries lead and partners connect, the world is better prepared," said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. "No country can face the next pandemic alone. Exercise Polaris shows that global cooperation is not only possible - it is essential."
Exchange "global cooperation" with "global control", and the last quoted sentence might be closer to the intention.

2) As many commentators have noticed, there could be a precedence in Event 201, referred to in a number of previous SOTT articles. Event 201 was a pandemic simulation that preceded, the actual COVID response, by a few months.

The following articles are mostly selected based on whether "Event 201" appeared in the summary text. Together they may give an idea, but it does not mean that something real could not happen, including something more sinister, and perhaps of a more "natural origin" than COVID. 3) The name "Polaris Exercise" is interesting in its own right; Polaris is another name for he the current North Star. There was also Operation Stellar Polaris, a military operation during WWII.
Operation Stella Polaris was the cover name for an operation in which Finnish signals intelligence records, equipment and personnel were transported to Sweden in late September 1944 after the end of combat on the Finnish-Soviet front in World War II.
Something similar to Operation Stella Polaris might happen if Ukraine gets some peace this year, but that is a different issue. Among the participating nations, Canada and Denmark (with Greenland) are both stakeholders in the Arctic, which is probably just a coincidence.

The brutal murder of eight Red Cross paramedics and five aid workers in Southern Gaza on March 23rd 2025 - each shot more than 20 times and then buried in a sandpit along with their vehicles - should be 'an event too far' for Israeli soldiers. The brave precedent for saying 'no' already having been set by colleagues refusing to follow the commands of the Israeli war cabinet.

This vile atrocity must have crossed the red line for these recruits, as well as seasoned soldiers of the Israeli army, if they are still to be considered human beings.

It has already been reported that a small but growing number of Israeli military have refused to engage against Palestinians in Gaza, demanding that Netanyahu stands by the terms of the hostage exchange negotiated with Hamas.

But this hostage exchange 'quid pro quo', as vital as it obviously is, is now joined by another critically important concern that must be addressed: are the soldiers carrying out these executions under the influence of a mind control program similar to that developed by MK Ultra in the USA in the 1950' and 60's?

Gather 'round, young 'uns, and hear tell of the days of yore. When I tell younger people that I didn't start using the internet until I was out of high school (c. 1999), I'm usually met with the look they reserve for great grandpa's story about trading in his horse-drawn cart for a rootin' tootin' Henry Ford Model T. The internet was a different place back then. Most people were still offline, and the early adopters were not exactly a neutral cross-section of the world's English-speaking peoples. The user base skewed young and male compared to the general population. Social media didn't exist yet, so the vast majority of users were set to read-only. They didn't blog, post, comment, or DM, they read articles, looked up information, occasionally bought something, and that was about it. The users who were creating content - posting in message boards and comment sections, blogging, creating their own personal websites, etc. - skewed young and male even compared to the already young and male overall user base. The libertarian, even anarchist, idea of the internet as an unassailable bastion of free expression still held over from the hippie days of Silicone Valley, and it was taken for granted that, short of explicitly illegal activity, there were no rules. People who tried to impose rules were identified and eliminated.

A terrorized Bronx woman has armed herself with a pair of pit bulls in a desperate effort to defend herself from an unhinged career criminal who keeps breaking into her home — but remains on the streets.

Beauty salon owner Itesha Hairston said she's petrified that 33-year-old Jarrell Coburn is stalking her after the vagrant broke into her home three times in under 10 days last month, but keeps getting a slap on the wrist due to a soft-on-crime court system that won't lock him up.

In fact, Coburn, who has at least nine unsealed busts on his rap sheet, tried to bust in again on April 9 — just nine days after he was last nabbed inside her Longwood ground-floor apartment.

Why are NY judges, lawmakers and other leftists conspiring to murder a Bronx woman?

New York's lefty lawmakers and lenient judges refuse to stop a deranged thug from repeatedly invading an innocent woman's home — though escalation to murder seems clearly in the offing.

That's the inescapable conclusion to be drawn from the obscene case of Bronx career criminal Jarrell Coburn and beauty salon owner Itesha Hairston.

Coburn, a crook with a mile-long rap sheet, broke into her apartment three times over a 10-day span in March — with a follow-up attempt on April 9.

The court response: Nothing.

Coburn got sprung with no bail for the first two break-ins, and even his follow-up offenses met the same fate, evidently thanks both to soft-on-crime judges and New York's obscene 2019 criminal justice "reforms."

On top of being a violent thug, Coburn is clearly both insane and obsessed with Hairston.

He has pulled a gun on her, insisted that her apartment is his and run her sink until it caused a flood.

As long as Coburn walks free, this seems certain to end only one way.

Even though Hairston has moved her sister's pit bulls into her place for protection.

And the pro-crime judges, and progs on the City Council and in Albany, and "justice" shriekers on social media will do nothing.

Along with the whole rest of the crew that wants murderers, rapists, burglars, dealers, traffickers and shoplifters in charge of the streets, while the law-abiding suffer and cower.

Neither the judges who refuse to put obviously dangerous criminals in pre-trial detention, nor the legislators who conspire to spring the crooks, face any consequence when those criminals go on to hurt or kill or burn or rape — even though they're morally as culpable as people who throw cinderblocks off highway overpasses for kicks.

That is: These lefties by now have to know they're ensuring innocents will die, or be raped and robbed and so on, yet they keep on encouraging crime.

Which makes it incumbent on all New Yorkers to rise up and vote these jackals out of office.

France's national terrorism office has launched an investigation into a wave of apparently coordinated attacks at multiple prisons across the country believed to be linked to a government clampdown on drug traffickers.

Gunmen with automatic weapons opened fire on the entrance to Toulon prison in southern France in the early hours of Tuesday, while in recent days cars have been set alight outside four other jails, and in Marseille a residential building housing prison guards was attacked.

The attacks came as the French parliament prepares to approve a new law increasing the power of police investigating drug dealers, toughening prison conditions for convicted traffickers and creating a new prosecutors' office responsible for investigating organised crime.

Whatever else you think is happening in our world, contraction is the reality-based order-of-the-day, and everything else is downstream of that. The world has to get by with less. Nothing is going to fix this for everybody, though any number of schemes for redistributing what's left will preoccupy the political mojo.

Right now, it's tariffs, which are an attempt to restore industry ceded to the formerly left-behind people elsewhere in the world — taking back what we used to do. You are correct to wonder if this is even possible. The wish is surely understandable, if a bit fuzzy and over-simplified: to be again a nation of people occupied purposefully in the service of a bright future. Redemption stories are deeply appealing.

Many of us are aware that the hour for this is late. We've already lived through our decades of pumping cheap oil out of American ground, extracting the ores, fashioning the metal into I-beams and rails, raising the skyscrapers, laying the asphalt ribbons of highway, and strewing the landscape with split-level houses and strip-malls. Let's not try a re-run of that.

What have we got to work with? An overly-complex matrix of systems and subsidiary systems operating on the verge of failure at excessive scale. For example, our cities and their asteroid belts of suburbs. The rot is already well-advanced in many of them from their centers outward, and we can see the process underway of strip-mining the remaining assets on-the-ground. Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore. . . all occupy important geographically strategic sites. All are populated by dwindling societies of the cope-less, floundering their way out of existence. The geographies will abide without them. Others will come along and make something of these places' virtues.

A history teacher has said she was arrested and blocked from seeing her daughters after she confiscated their iPads.

Vanessa Brown, 50, described her "unspeakable devastation and trauma" after spending seven-and-a-half hours in a cell on 26 March after a claim that she had stolen two iPads.

She was later released with bail conditions that barred her from speaking to anyone connected to the investigation - including her children - until the case was dropped.

Brown told LBC she had taken the iPads to encourage her daughters to focus on their schoolwork. Surrey police tracked the devices to Brown's mother's house in Cobham, Surrey, and later accepted the devices belonged to her children and she was "entitled" to confiscate them.
