Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's handling of the Covid crisis wasn't just a health catastrophe, but a financial one too, according to a damning new audit report released Friday. The state government poured $453 million into building an enormous stockpile of medical equipment -- and only used 0.000012% of it.

According to state comptroller Tom DiNapoli, New York bought a staggering 247,343 medical devices, but only wound up using a laughable three pieces of equipment out of the vast horde. Worse, the waste was only compounded by the state's utter neglect of its fiduciary duties to taxpayers. Rather than finding buyers for the once-valuable assets, bureaucrats have been content to let the equipment age and decay in warehouses. As if the erosion of the stockpiles weren't bad enough, New York is also wasting money on storage costs.

Comment: Desperate times, desperate measures...by design. Fear became the motivator and guys like Cuomo played into its hands.

That was more than 24 hours ago - and the promised "arrest" has not happened. More to the point, the promised arrests have not happened. The arrests of criminals such as the pedophiles on Epstein's list, for instance. Nor the "COVID" criminals - including Dr. Fauci and the head of Pfizer, Anthony Bourla.

They are free to make book deals and give speeches (Fauci) and to continue manufacturing dangerous drugs (Bourla). Gretchen Whitmer and Kathy Hochul and JB Pritzker are still the governors of their respective states, despite having turned their states into police states.

None of it matters. All is forgotten - which is a form of forgiveness based upon willful amnesia. Just pretend the last five years never happened. Everything's ok now.

Ziegler was doxed. Shapley was told to accept a demotion or resign. Convinced the IRS and Department of Justice were stonewalling their efforts to bring charges against a sitting president's son, the agents went public as whistleblowers in 2023.

Hunter's alleged crimes occured at time when he has admitted he was a drug abuser -- evidence of which turned up on his laptop.

The result, during the hyper-polarized years spanning the Trump-to-Biden-to-Trump administrations, was predictable: The two men were accused of partisanship, lambasted by Democratic members of Congress and the press, and had their reputations impugned by high-powered lawyers paid for by those sympathetic to the Bidens.

Critics argue the recruitment policy adopted by West Yorkshire Police unfairly discriminates against White candidates

White applicants from a British or Eastern European background are at a disadvantage when applying for entry-level police constable roles at one of the U.K.'s largest police forces, according to reports by The Telegraph newspaper.

It has emerged that West Yorkshire Police permits Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates to submit job applications all year round, but White people must wait for specific recruitment drives, sparking accusations of positive discrimination.

The police force claims the move is designed to boost diversity numbers and make the police more reflective of the area's multicultural society.

And it turned out to be a surprisingly warm, candid, and friendly one-on-one conversation.

Maher was shocked when he presented Trump with a list of past insults Trump had hurled at him over the years.

And in epic fashion, Trump signed it — all in good humor.

Sweden has seen massive demographic changes over the last 25 years, and this is not only reflected in the demographic composition, but also the religious composition of the country. While churches continue to close their doors, the country went from approximately seven mosques in 2000 to now 300 in 2025.

The exact figures are difficult to ascertain, however, the 300 mosques refers to permanent prayer places built for Muslim worship, which often feature a minaret and a dome. If unofficial places of Muslim worship are factored in, such as converted shops or basements, the number would likely be far higher, according to Swedish newspaper Samnytt.

"If by mosque you mean a Muslim place of worship, the number may be close to 300," said Frederic Brusi, the knowledge officer of the Swedish Agency for Support to Religious Communities.

UK creating 'murder prediction' tool to identify people most likely to kill

The UK government is developing a "murder prediction" programme which it hopes can use personal data of those known to the authorities to identify the people most likely to become killers.

Researchers are alleged to be using algorithms to analyse the information of thousands of people, including victims of crime, as they try to identify those at greatest risk of committing serious violent offences.

The scheme was originally called the "homicide prediction project", but its name has been changed to "sharing data to improve risk assessment". The Ministry of Justice hopes the project will help boost public safety but campaigners have called it "chilling and dystopian".

On the last day permitted by the justices, Ghislaine Maxwell filed a 159-page petition Friday asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn her sex-trafficking conviction, arguing that per the terms of a non-prosecution agreement the government made with her former boyfriend, Jeffrey Epstein, she should never have been prosecuted.

The 63-year old Maxwell was convicted in 2021 of five counts of sex trafficking and grooming minors for Epstein's abuse — crimes for which she was sentenced 20 years imprisonment. Epstein himself died in jail before he could face trial.

Following Maxwell's conviction, she unsuccessfully appealed, having argued that a 2007 plea deal between Epstein and the federal government made in the Southern District of Florida protected her — even though she was not a party to the deal and her prosecution was taking place in the Southern District of New York.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit ruled that it was "well established" law that a plea agreement "binds only the office of the United States Attorney for the district in which the plea is entered unless it affirmatively appears that the agreement contemplates a broader restriction," and that no such indication was present in Maxwell's case.

Recently, a young Black male killed another young White male. This is hardly news, seeing as how every day, young Black males kill. It's a 'hood workout'. The apparent motive in this case, was that the young Black male felt 'disrespected'. In ghetto culture, you don't accept 'disrespect'. You have to respond, too often in a deadly way.

Now why this story has become national news is puzzling. The young victim, an honor roll high school student named Austin Metcalf, who was a Division 1 college football prospect, is no different than countless other White victims of Black pathology who remain anonymous because the crimes were ignored by mainstream media. The murderer is named Karmelo Anthony. We were assured that he came from a good home, unlike the vast majority of young Black killers. In this case, Anthony appears to have wandered into the tent provided for members of Metcalf's high school track team. Maybe Karmelo forgot what school he went to. Metcalf asked him to leave, because the tent was reserved for track players at his particular high school. Now, no one asks a young Black man to leave any place. If he's there, he must have a reason. So, Karmelo felt 'disrespected'. And he responded in an appropriate ghetto style.
