Washington whistleblower: There were 'secret society' meetings between FBI and DOJ who worked to undermine Trump

FBI secret society
A whistleblower has revealed to Congress that clandestine, offsite meetings between high ranking FBI and DOJ took place in which officials discussed ways to undermine President Trump after the 2016 election, Rep. Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Fox News on Tuesday.

The bombshell revelation all but confirms a "secret society" alluded to in text messages released last Friday between two anti-Trump FBI employees tasked with investigating both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
"The secret society - we have an informant talking about a group holding secret meetings off-site," Johnson said.

"We have to continue to dig into it," he added. "This is not a distraction. This is biased, potentially corruption at the highest levels of the FBI." -The Hill

Comment: If there wasn't so much riding on this political war of truth and lies, if the ramifications and implications weren't so deep and so frightening - this on-going saga might actually be entertaining.

UN Human Rights Council slams Israel for violations, calls nation an 'apartheid state'

On Tuesday, the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) held a session aimed at assessing the progress Israel made during its third Universal Periodic Review (UPR), a UN-backed process designed to assess the human rights record of a state and make recommendations for improvement.

In the course of the struggle between the Israelis and Palestinians, the UN has repeatedly accused Israel of not respecting human rights as it continues to build settlements on the West Bank, however, the strongest condemnation comes from South Africa, a country which used to have one of the world's worst human rights records itself.

Comment: And used to be one of Israel's strongest of international allies as well. My have the times changed.

During the session a delegate from South Africa, a country where the system of discrimination based on supremacy of white people and suppression of the black population called apartheid originated from, characterized Israel as "the only state in the world that can be called an apartheid state," since it denies the right of self-determination to the Palestinian people, "in the absence of which no other human right can be exercised or enjoyed."

Western Society doesn't realize how moderate Vladimir Putin really is

Who Vladimir Putin truly is, and why you should thank God he's president and not a more extreme candidate
Vladimir Putin

Putin is a moderate. The western portrayal of President Putin as a dangerous extremist is based on lies; it's a narrative which can only survive so long as people are not educated about the real Russia, and the result of profound hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy is the spirit which distinguishes politics of our age. Wherever you look, the Hypocrisy of western politics is far-reaching. The West supports wars in the middle east which kill millions and they can be described as "Humanitarian superpowers", Russia allows Crimean people to reunite with their ancestral homeland in a transition which results in less than ten deaths, and somehow Russia is rebuilding the "axis of evil".

To understand how a truly moderate statesman like Putin can be falsely portrayed as a radical, we must first understand how hypocrisy and split personality distorts one's view of Russia.

Comment: Reinforced ignorance about Putin's Christian faith proves how disconnected American press is from reality

Peter Hitchens: There is no Russian threat to Britain

russians meme
I can't blame the Army for trying to save itself from the current mad round of cuts, but could there be anything more ludicrous than a warning that we need to beef up the Army because it can't cope with an attack on Britain by Russia? Likewise we could not cope with an attack on Britain by Klingons (who don't as far as I know exist), or, come to that, by the Chinese People's Republic (which does exist). But these attacks are not likely, let alone imminent.

I say, please plan for what is realistically likely, rather than frightening people with bogeymen, and so perhaps creating the preconditions for a war which, if you had not been so silly, would never have happened.

General Sir Nick Carter, head of the army, was all over the media this morning warning of the Muscovite threat.

Comment: If we are to judge a man on on what he says and the actions he takes, Hitchens' perspective on Putin is. Thankfully, many Brits disagree with him: Brits laugh off crazed General's anti-Russian hysteria, saying they wish Putin ran their country

British media watchdog Ofcom dismisses Bellingcat blogger's complaint that RT was unfair to him

Higgins Bellingcat

British broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has rejected a complaint from professional web-surfer and blogger Eliot Higgins, which claimed that an RT report was (to paraphrase) mean about him.

The man behind the Bellingcat online investigative team is not normally shy of tweeting about Ofcom rulings involving RT. At the time of writing though, he's been silent about this one.

Higgins complained about a sequence shown on RT which questioned elements of his work in relation to the downing of the MH17 airliner in eastern Ukraine in 2014. His work essentially involves watching videos on social media and looking at Google Earth to carry out investigations into incidents in conflict zones. Much of his focus is on Syria and Ukraine.

Comment: Given Bellingcat's sketchy record for accuracy, the Ofcom assessment seems fair. One might wonder how Higgens continues to command the influence he apparently does with the MSM.

Could Democracy be on the way down?

Tinkering in USA

"The Western democratic system is hailed by the developed world as near perfect and the most superior political system to run a country," mocked China's official new agency. "However, what's happening in the United States today will make more people worldwide reflect on the viability and legitimacy of such a chaotic political system."

There is a worldwide audience for what Beijing had to say about the shutdown of the U.S. government, for there is truth in it.

According to Freedom House, democracy has been in decline for a dozen years. Less and less do nations look to the world's greatest democracy, the United States, as a model of the system to best preserve and protect what is most precious to them.

China may be a single-party Communist state that restricts freedom of speech, religion and the press, the defining marks of democracy. Yet Beijing has delivered what makes the Chinese people proud - a superpower nation to rival the mighty United States. Chinese citizens appear willing to pay, in restricted freedoms, the price of national greatness no modern Chinese generation had ever known.

The same appears true of the Russian people.

Mueller's investigation accidentally exposes FBI cover-up of Saudi role in 9/11

Further deteriorating the propaganda surrounding the government's probe into alleged interference by Russia in the 2016 election, recently discovered court documents have just revealed that the person leading the investigation, Special Counsel Robert Mueller, was complicit in covering up Saudi Arabia's role in 9/11. Not only did Mueller cover for the Florida Saudi family but, according to the documents, he released intentionally deceptive statements to muddy the official investigation.

The new report, released by Florida Bulldog is nothing short of bombshell.

According to the CIA's database, 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, and when they first arrived in the United States, nine of them arrived in Florida.

As TFTP previously reported, Florida Bulldog, a team of investigative journalists that has spent years probing the connections between the 9/11 hijackers and Saudi Arabia, sued the FBI in 2012 for details on the ties between the hijackers and a rich Saudi family that mysteriously left all of their belongings and abandoned their luxury home in Sarasota, Florida, just two weeks before the attacks. The lawsuit led to the release of materials from a 2002 FBI report, which found "many connections" between the Saudi family and "individuals associated with the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001."

Schumer rage: 'The worst negotiator in Washington' say left-wing activists over shutdown failure

Chuckie
© TownhallDemocratic Senator Chuck Schumer
The ill-fated 'Schumer Shutdown' officially ended last evening after nearly three fruitless days of what Democrats had heretofore labeled unconscionably reckless "hostage taking." As our previous piece mentioned, "the resistance" accomplished virtually nothing, and even the spin from their defenders was most notable for its weakness. Democrats knew they were up against a public perception issue, compounded by a messaging problem. On the former challenge, voters were not behind their tactics, and were also amenable to a number of core Republican priorities on immigration -- the ancillary issue over which Schumer and friends forced the shutdown in the first place. On the latter, many liberals were stuck in this irreconcilable gray zone:

Clinton Foundation uses hidden transactions for influence peddling

Criminal duo

Huge, unregulated transnational charities provide unique cover for moving money and other considerations as illegal favors.

A friend of mine, Peter Wing, once actually hid an elephant in plain sight at the castle he built with his bare hands from reclaimed materials near Millbrook, New York.

The evolution of the Clinton Foundation since Oct. 23, 1997, proves that gigantic frauds, spread across the globe under the harsh glare of public attention and in the media, are tough to grasp - and tougher still to police.

Who would imagine, for example, that a former president, an aspiring president and a highly educated only child would work together, purposefully gaming controls at supposed "charities," produce false and misleading public filings, and do so for more than two decades using a bevy of outside professional advisers and world-renowned directors?

Yet close examination of available facts demonstrates the Clinton Foundation and its network of false-front charity "initiatives" and affiliates remains the largest set of unprosecuted charitable frauds in American history.

Comment: Was the IRS complicit in hiding/ignoring financial abuses and giving a wink to those sources, utilizing under-the-radar connections within the Clinton realm? Were officials on the take, or were the Clintons just really good at being really bad...

Ivanka to hunt for new chief of staff over frustrations with Gen. Kelly

President Donald Trump is reportedly looking for a new White House chief of staff to replace Gen. John Kelly, according to a report in Vanity Fair. Gabriel Sherman claims that he spoke to two prominent Republicans who confirmed that Trump's relationship with Kelly has "gone past the point of no return," and Trump is now actively looking for a successor.

Trump's daughter Ivanka is allegedly taking a central role in the search, with figures such as political operative David Urban currently being considered.

Kelly, who was appointed as White House chief of staff last July as a replacement for Reince Priebus, apparently infuriated Trump when he falsely claimed that Trump's views on the construction of a wall on the southern border had "evolved," a position which Trump quickly denied.

"The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it," Trump responded.

Trump was also angered by Kelly's explanation to Democratic lawmakers that Trump's campaign promises for a border wall were "uninformed."
