Lavrov raps US: Can 'rarely separate terrorists and opposition' in southern Syria

Russia Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday that the US can rarely separate terrorists and opposition in Syria's southern de-escalation zone.

"We have also pointed out the need for the implementation of agreements on the southern de-escalation zone, deals which were reached by the United States, Russia and Jordan on all aspects, including the continuation of the uncompromising struggle against terrorists from Islamic State and JabhatFatah al-Sham, which control about 40 percent of the southern de-escalation zone," Lavrov said after the talks.

The allegations made by Western media outlets and politicians about ethnic cleansing during anti-terrorist campaigns in Syria's Eastern Ghouta and eastern Aleppo were false, Lavrov said.

Trump hits back at critics of Putin meeting - 'It's a good thing to have good relations with all nations'

President Trump has lashed out at critics of his decision to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying that "it's a good thing" to have good relations with all nations, including Russia, and that Putin himself is "fine."

Trump touched on his upcoming summit with Putin in Helsinki as he was speaking at a pep rally in Montana on Thursday.

By mentioning the July 16 meeting, the first one between the two leaders that won't be taking place on the sidelines of any other event, Trump sought to defy those accusing him of being "angry" at NATO and cozying up to Russia. He insisted that it's only normal to seek mutually beneficial relations with all countries.

"I am meeting with President Putin next week and getting along - let me tell you, getting along with Russia and getting along with China and getting along with other countries is a good thing. It's not a bad thing. It's a good thing," Trump told the cheering crowd in Great Falls.

Trudeau gives half-hearted apology to groped female reporter, still claims he did nothing wrong

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has addressed the claims that he inappropriately touched a reporter in 2000 by saying the interaction wasn't "in any way untoward" and that he apologized anyway.

"I apologized in the moment," Trudeau told reporters on Thursday, but he noted that neither he nor his staff have contacted the unnamed reporter.

"I don't want to presume how she feels now. I haven't reached out to her, no one on my team has reached out to her. We don't think that would be appropriate at all," the PM said.

An outspoken feminist and champion of liberal values, who once famously mansplained to a female constituent that she should use the word "peoplekind" instead of "mankind," Trudeau presented the incident as some kind of teachable moment about inappropriate sexual behavior.

UK Minister: Amesbury poisoning victims were neither targeted nor linked to Skripals

Theresa May Novichok
The latest reports from the Amesbury alleged "Novichok poisoning" have taken a turn for the weirder. According to several reports, UK Minister of State for Security Ben Wallace has said that the Amesbury "poisonings" were neither targeted, nor linked to the Skripals. He said that instead, he believes it is a "contamination by Novichok".

So far, the optics seemed like it could be an obvious Skripal 2.0 scenario, which was honestly ridiculous that they would bother to invent the same baseless and insane accusations against Russia twice. Yet instead, the latest reports seem to indicate a totally different spin is being taken. For example, the BBC has reported:
The victims of the nerve agent emergency in Wiltshire were not directly targeted, the security minister has said.

[UK Minister of State for Security] Ben Wallace disclosed that the "working assumption" is that the pair were exposed to Novichok either as a result of the attack on former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Hulia in Salisbury earlier this year, or "something else".
It must be clear however, this does not mean the U.K. isn't pointing the finger at Russia, as the report continues:

Kiev's abducting journalists to exchange for terrorists

Kiev vigilante unti
© ndrugua / Facebook
On July 5th, Kiev announced that it is willing to expand the list of prisoners that Ukraine is ready to exchange for Ukrainians being held in Russia. The new list includes the head of the arrested journalist and head of RIA Novosti Ukraina, Kirill Vyshinsky, as well as 12 Russian citizens. Some of them have Russian citizenship or dual citizenship (like Vyshinsky). Among those intended for exchange is the coordinator of the Volunteers of Victory movement, Elena Yurevich (Odnovol), arrested for organizing a Victory Day celebration outlawed by Ukrainian authorities.

In turn, the Ukrainians plan to receive in exchange a group of Ukrainians sentenced for terrorism, the most famous among whom is Oleg Sentsov. Sentsov was arrested by the FSB literally just before he planned to commit a terrorist attack in Crimea. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian press and Russian liberal circles continue to refer to him as a "director", and the famous film director Sokurov has joined support campaigns for Sentsov.

Sources: Russians confident US forces will leave al-Tanf and northern Syria within six months

US soldiers
Russian advisors visiting the Syrian capital Damascus are confident that the US forces will pull out of al-Tanf and will also aim to completely withdraw from north of Syria (al-Hasaka and Deir-Ezzour) in the next six months.

According to top decision makers based in Damascus, the US President Donald Trump is pushing his administration to approve an already prepared total withdrawal plan. Despite Trump's limited knowledge of foreign policy and being unaware of the consequences of his decisions in the international arena, however, he found no convincing elements - said the sources, who asked to remain anonymous - in the presentation by his administration where US forces could benefit from the continuation of their presence in such a hostile environment and without suffering hits in the future. Trump's biggest fear to see the US special forces deployed in the north of Syria and in Iraq returning to the country "in plastic bags". He would certainly find it hard to offer any explanation for the US occupation of the Levant after the defeat of ISIS (the "Islamic State" group) or what remained of it in Syria and Iraq.

Moreover, Trump noticed that the hostility against its forces in Iraq was growing: Iraqi security forces (Hashd al-Sha'bi) vowed revenge on the US following the destruction by unknown jets (believed to be Israeli) of their command and control position on the Iraqi-Syrian borders with specific orders to stop and destroy ISIS terrorist groups crossing into Iraq.

Comment: The US and Israel accepting defeat in Syria? The US leaving Al-Tanf and northern Syria? It sounds wonderful, but lets not forget that this comes from anonymous sources, so we are forced to take it with a grain of salt.

America's sh*thole: Maxine Waters district 43 is the worst in Los Angeles

Maxine Waters billboard
The people who keep voting for her in this district, even though nothing ever changed over the years, are more stupid than she is, which is A LOT!

Comment: Aside from being totally batsh*t crazy, Maxine Waters is one of the biggest hypocrites in American politics. How she can lecture anyone about anything while her own district wastes away in poverty is simply jaw-dropping.

Germany, Austria and Italy plan talks to 'shut' southern migrant route

German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz
German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Vienna, Austria July 5, 2018.
Germany and Austria said on Thursday they will hold talks with Italy next week on how to jointly "shut" the migration route across the Mediterranean from Africa into Europe, but also said they could act against Rome if it did not cooperate.

After a meeting with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Germany's Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said his government's plans for new immigration measures at their shared border would not make Austria responsible for people arriving there who had already sought asylum in another European Union country.

"We agreed ... that next week there will be a meeting of the German, Austrian and Italian interior ministers with the goal of taking measures to shut the Mediterranean route into Europe, to make sure that illegal immigration to Europe on this route is stopped," Kurz told a joint news conference.

Comment: The momentum of the immigration crisis backlash is building with leaders from Austria, Italy, Hungary, Czech republic and officials from Germany either refusing EU refugee quotas or seriously questioning current policy. Whereas leaders like France's Macron and the UK's May say they will accept refugee's but then do their best to abdicate any responsibility: Also check out SOTT radio's:

Key Trump administration officials have been confronted at restaurants. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) urged protestors to hound Trump officials at restaurants, gas stations or department stores.

Progressive pundits and the liberal media almost daily think up new ways of characterizing President Trump as a Nazi, fascist, tyrant or buffoon. Celebrities openly fantasize about doing harm to Trump.
