Italian Deputy PM Matteo Salvini fired back at top EU economic official Pierre Moscovici, telling him to "wash his mouth out" following Moscovici's remark on the spread of "little Mussolinis" in Europe.

Moscovici, the European commissioner for economic and financial affairs, voiced his fear over the rise of right-wing forces in some countries, comparing the situation to the WWII era.

"Fortunately there is no sound of jackboots, there is no Hitler, (but maybe there are) small Mussolinis. That remains to be seen," he told reporters in Paris on Thursday.

MSM hits peak lunacy: Hurricane Florence is Donald Trump's fault

hurricane florence trump
© CBSNThe 'perpetrator' and the 'crime scene', at least according the the Washington Post.
Mother Nature truly doesn't give a whit about politics - but try telling that to the hysterical mainstream leftist media!

The Washington Post ran a piece about Hurricane Florence (sort of) on Tuesday, Sept 11, with this headline: "Another hurricane is about to bash our coast. Trump is complicit." And apparently the opinion writers of the Editorial Board of The Washington Post, believe that this is either true, or that it is good political fodder as the midterm elections approach. It is not enough to talk about the presence of this piece, especially when one can read it for themselves:

Analysts weigh in on Skripal poisoning accusations: 'UK cornered itself claiming Petrov & Boshirov were perpetrators'

skripal suspects interview
Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov
Whatever revelations may pop up, the UK will stick to its vague version of the Salisbury poisoning incident, analysts said on the heels of an exclusive RT interview with Britain's Skripal case suspects.

The interview with Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, named as suspects in the Salisbury poisoning, appeared on RT on Thursday. Speaking to RT editor-in-chief, Maragarita Simonyan both said they had been wrongly accused by the UK of attempted murder of the ex-Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter.

Although they claimed they went there to see the sights, the British were quick to denounce the interview as a blow to the "public's intelligence." RT has been told that no matter what, the UK will not change its view on the matter.

Comment: The situation is going from bad to worse for the Brits in their attempt to whip up the Cold War hysteria.

Russian Orthodox Church suspends work with Constantinople for recognizing independence of breakaway Ukrainian Church

Patriarch Kirill

The Russian Orthodox Church is ending its participation in any structures chaired by the Constantinople Patriarchate, the Holy Synod said, as Constantinople decided to recognize the independence of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

"We have decided to suspend joint performance of church services with the hierarchs of the Constantinople Patriarchate, to suspend our membership in all structures, which are headed or co-chaired by the representatives of Constantinople," Metropolitan Hilarion, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church's External Relations Department, said following an extraordinary meeting of the Holy Synod, the governing body of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Comment: Interestingly Russian Orthodox Partriarch Kirill recently commented that the Russian Orthodox church is free from all political influence, can the same be said for the church in Ukraine?
"I don't know if other heads of Orthodox churches in the world enjoy the same level of freedom," he added. "Russian Church is completely free from any political influence in the country, it is interacting with the authorities on equal terms and this is for the first time in history."

More US intervention in Syria would be crazy and stupid despite NYT obscene war propaganda

NYT op-ed Syria intervention
We’re being given all these different stories about why a regime change intervention in Iraq’s next-door neighbor Syria is needed, and the only thing those stories seem to have in common is that they all require a large amount of expensive weaponry being discharged upon the human beings who back the Syrian government.
As tensions continue to mount around the Al-Qaeda-held province of Idlib in Syria, the New York Times has published an op-ed by virulent neoconservative war whore Bret Stephens explaining that the US should intervene militarily in order to thwart the geopolitical agendas of Iran. He argues that any movement to recapture Idlib should be met with a full-scale assault on the Syrian government, crippling its air force and attacking Bashar al-Assad's presidential palaces. Stephens says this must be done to prevent Tehran from "consolidating a Shiite crescent stretching from Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf to the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon."

Spain to 'honor' sale of 400 bombs to Saudi Arabia despite halting it over rights groups outcry

Just about a week after halting a bombs' sale to Riyadh following a widespread indignation over Saudi Arabia's indiscriminate bombing in Yemen, the Spanish government said it would still go ahead with the deal.

"The decision is that these bombs will be delivered to honor a contract that comes from 2015, and was made by the previous government," the Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell told Onda Cero radio. He went on to say that the contract was reviewed three times by a commission that authorizes arms sales while several ministries worked on the issue.

"We found no reason not to carry it out," Borrell said. When asked about any guarantees that the use of the Spanish-produced bombs would not result in casualties among the Yemeni civilians, the minister said that the laser-guided bombs have "extraordinary precision" and, thus, do not "produce the same sort of bombing as less sophisticated weapons ... that create the sort of tragedy that we have all condemned."

Evil after all: Leaked Google video reveals company's extreme left-wing bias

Google Trump resistance video
In this leaked video from 2016, we can see Google leadership’s dismay over the results of the US election and hear their discussing their conspiracy to provide “in-kind” political efforts to one party to attempt to sway the outcome.
We've talked before about how Google is actively suppressing climate skeptics, including yours truly.

The business motto for Google used to be:"Don't be evil.", seen below as archived by the Wayback Machine on April 21, 2018:
"Don't be evil." Googlers generally apply those words to how we serve our users. But "Don't be evil" is much more than that. Yes, it's about providing our users unbiased access to information, focusing on their needs and giving them the best products and services that we can. But it's also about doing the right thing more generally - following the law, acting honorably, and treating co-workers with courtesy and respect.

The Google Code of Conduct is one of the ways we put "Don't be evil" into practice. It's built around the recognition that everything we do in connection with our work at Google will be, and should be, measured against the highest possible standards of ethical business conduct. We set the bar that high for practical as well as aspirational reasons: Our commitment to the highest standards helps us hire great people, build great products, and attract loyal users. Trust and mutual respect among employees and users are the foundation of our success, and they are something we need to earn every day.
Then, in a stunning turnaround, they removed the phrase from their website, giving themselves a license to follow the dark side.

By now you may have heard about the in-house "private" Google video (created right after the 2016 presidential election) leaked to Breitbart. It was never intended that the public see it. Fortunately, we have. After Trump won the election the video shows the Google management team doing group hugs, tears, and wailing about how Trump won and how Hillary was wronged.

Comment: More from Sputnik:
What's more important, however, is that the staff pledge to use the power in their hands to thwart the efforts of the new administration, which, according to Brin, "conflicts with many of [Google's] values.

"In the video, the company's CFO, Ruth Porat, pledges that Google will "use the great strength and resources and reach we have to continue to advance really important values."

Ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page, whose Trump-bashing texts made it clear who she backed in the 2016 presidential election, refers in a newly revealed message to serving as an intern "under Clinton."

Page, who exchanged tens of thousands of texts with disgraced FBI official Peter Strzok, revealed the information in one message among a new batch exclusively obtained by Fox News.

"Get inspired and depressing reading that article about how Obama approached the mail room," Page wrote Strzok on Jan. 19, 2017 - the last day of the Obama administration. "Needless to say, it was very different when I interned there under Clinton."

Seeking to thwart the Idlib offensive Turkey deploys battle tanks in northern Hama

© Umit Bektas / ReutersTurkish army tanks are seen near the Turkish-Syrian border in Hatay province, Turkey January 23, 2018
On September 13, the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) deployed several battle tanks and armoured vehicles at their observation post near the town of Murak in northern Hama, according to reports by pro-militant sources.

It was first time when the TAF deployed its heavy military equipment in this area. Pro-government activists link this deployment with attempts of the Turkish leadership to prevent an expected military operation of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the province of Idlib and nearby areas.

The TAF has 12 observation posts in the so-called Idlib de-escalation zone. Many of them are located in the areas directly controlled by internationally recognized terrorist groups or close to these areas.

Ukraine's inept and corrupt leadership face disaster by escalating in Lugansk and Donetsk

Aleksandr Zakharchenko Donetsk
© Alexander Ermochenko / ReutersDonetsk, Ukraine, September 2, 2018
The tragic murder of Alexandr Zakharchenko solidified Ukraine's intent to retake the Donbass region by force. We know the attack on Donetsk Republic leadership was meant to throw the fledgling nation into an emotional and political turmoil and cause a crisis in succession for the Republic.

Ukraine gravely miscalculated the response Poroshenko received which was both deliberate and dignified by Donetsk Republic leadership and LNR's interim president Leonid Pasechnik.

The murder was possibly to set up the conditions for a September 14th assault.

Donetsk People's Republic Operations Command spokesman Daniil Bezsonov notes Ukraine is making a lot of noise but doesn't have the fuel or munitions on hand. To make an assault from Mariupol possible they need to resupply. Donetsk Intel says Ukraine is trying to remedy this for the 14th and Ukraine has over 12,000 troops ready.

It's common knowledge US and NATO trainers have been hard at work training Ukraine's new and improved army. The problem with the army is that even with new and improved weaponry, tactics, and equipment, it still remains essentially what it was in 2014-2015.

In reality, it fits right into the outlook of Ukraine's civil and military leadership to mount an attack without the supplies for the tanks to make it to the battle lines.

Comment: Kiev may be about to launch an offensive on Lugansk and Donetsk that will end in disaster for them. But it may not even be their idea. Their real masters at NATO may want them to cause trouble to Russia as Syria gets ready to liberate Idlib.
