Russia isn't only behind election hacking! They're also trying to smear US over coronavirus ... according to State Department

Not satisfied with just blaming Russia for election meddling, US officials are now claiming Moscow is trying to "sow discord" by spreading disinformation about the coronavirus and the US' role in its creation and global response.

US State Department officials are claiming Moscow is behind an internet campaign to blame the coronavirus on the US government.

Without citing specific examples, officials told AFP that the foreign nation is using "false personas" to spread conspiracy theories about the virus, including that the virus is the US' attempt to "wage economic war on China" and that it could be a biological weapon deployed by the CIA to "spread anti-China messages."

Bloomberg is a 'foie gras & caviar' rather than 'Subway' guy, but say it out loud and the Bloombergbots will come after you

The Bloomberg campaign says he is such a 'relatable' guy, he could eat Subway sandwiches every day. Their receipts tell another story, but keep it to yourself - saying it out loud could trigger an invasion on your Twitter feed.

You can have all the money in the world but you'll still have to go through the motions to win public office. Kiss some babies, shake some working-class hands, order some fast food just like all the plebes do. Mike Bloomberg is no exception, so his campaign published video evidence that their candidate is a very relatable guy.

Comment: Bloomberg's campaign strategy has also resorted to using billboards to criticize Trump's choice of how to cook and eat his steak, as though that would endear him to the common voter. The man has zero self-awareness.

Beseiged Tripoli govt invokes 'the Russians' as excuse for Pentagon to redeploy troops to NATO-ravaged Libya

Nine years after the US helped bomb what was once the wealthiest African nation back to the Stone Age, the Tripoli-based government says it would welcome American troops on Libyan soil - to fight terrorism and 'deter' Russia.

In the wake of plans voiced by US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper to scale back America's military presence in the region and re-focus its forces globally towards confronting adversaries such as Russia and China, Fathi Bashagha, the interior minister for the UN-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA), told Bloomberg that Libya would be happy to help.

Comment: Funny, because not too long ago, Tripoli was asking the RUSSIANS for help. The potential for double- and triple-crosses abound.

Stone sentencing ends Russia collusion, part I

Roger Stone
© Mary F. Calvert/ReutersFormer Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone departs following his sentencing hearing at U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., February 20, 2020.
The Roger Stone sentencing farce is as fitting an end to the Russia Collusion saga as one could conjure up . . . though it might be more fitting to call it the end of Russia Collusion, Part I. No sooner did the first flick conclusively bomb than the media-Democrat complex was issuing the casting call for Russia Collusion, Part II.

In the sequel, you're asked to believe that Putin is manipulating the chesspieces to steal a second term for President Trump - somehow preferring an incumbent who beefs up the U.S. armed forces, pressures NATO allies to beef up theirs, imposes painful sanctions on Moscow, provides lethal aid to Ukraine, ramps up U.S. energy production, and seeks to thwart the Kremlin's coveted natural-gas partnership with Germany, over an unabashed socialist who honeymooned in the Soviet Union and whose policies would wreck the American economy, end the resurgence of American energy production, and hollow out the American armed forces.

It's a lunatic plot. But the scriptwriters no doubt figure that if they can peddle what they've been peddling for the last two weeks, they can peddle anything.

Stone was sentenced to 40 months' imprisonment. This was smack in the middle of the federal sentencing guidelines' range โ€” 37 to 46 months โ€” that Attorney General Bill Barr's Justice Department argued would be a reasonable term. The AG's position was a second-guess of the Stone trial's prosecutors. That team, dominated by Mueller fabulists who portrayed the Stone case as Watergate revisited, had recommended something closer to a nine-year sentence.

Muslims should have been sent to Pakistan in 1947 says Union minister Giriraj Singh

Union Minister Giriraj Singh who is known for controversies has said in the recent offing that all Muslims should have been sent to Pakistan in 1947.

While speaking in Purnia, Bihar, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries said on Wednesday, "It is the time to commit ourselves to the nation. Before 1947, (Muhammad Ali) Jinnah pushed for an Islamic nation. It was a big lapse by our ancestors that we're paying the price for. If at that time Muslim brothers had been sent there and Hindus brought here, we wouldn't be in this situation," he said.

"If Bharatvanshiyas don't get shelter here where will they go," he said

Comment: Giriraj Singh is not new to controversies or making statements that are considered politically incorrect.
In April 2016, he stirred up a controversy with his remark stating that the population should be controlled by ensuring that people of all religions have the same number of children in their families. In October 2016, he was embroiled in a controversy when he urged Hindus to produce more children. Again on 4 November 2016, Giriraj Singh stressed that the Hindus in India need to increase their population.

In January, 2020, he raised controversy by remarking that Indians eating beef outside the country was "a matter of concern". He also suggested imposing Hindu religious texts on school children.

Too little, too late? Macron announces measures against 'Islamic separatism'

macron press conference
© @GadjiMiko / TwitterPresident Macron made the announcements on Islam during an event in Mulhouse, Haut-Rhin
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a series of measures designed to combat "Islamic separatism" in France - including new rules on foreign imams and education.

The measures will also aim to "fight foreign influence"and "promote the [positive] organisation of the Muslim faith", Mr Macron said on a panel of ministers on Tuesday February 18, at an event in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin).

France will gradually stop welcoming "detached imams" sent from other countries such as Turkey or Algeria, Mr Macron said, and would aim to increase the number of imams trained in France, instead.

Nor will France continue to permit the 300 or so extra religious leaders that would usually enter the country during the period of Ramadan, he said.

Comment: Hopefully Macron's measures will be able to get a grip on the situation. French citizens have complained for years of feeling like strangers in their own country. Russia has pulled off the seemingly impossible, isolating the dangerous sect of Takfirism while supporting its moderate population and helping them identify as Russian citizens. Macron could take a lesson here:

The future of Islam in Western Europe? Look to Russia
Unlike the EU, Russia has one single central government, and a strong one at that. The Russian intelligence and security services are amongst the best on the planet, as is the Russian military. Russia does not suffer from the disease of political-correctness: it is totally acceptable in Russia to denounce Islamic terrorism in the harshest possible terms. In fact, Putin even made a famous statement about "offing the terrorists in the toilets if needed" and the Russians did exactly that: they killed every single Chechen Wahabi leader and, far from denying it, they proudly proclaimed it. The key difference with the EU is that Putin and the Russian people had the political will to stop the insurgency in Chechnia, even if that meant turning all of Chechnia into a pile of smoking rubble.

Yet, at the same time, Putin made major efforts to support the Muslim community in Russia. Not only did he built a huge (and beautiful) mosque in Moscow, he has embarked on major program to support the growth of traditional Islam in Russia (just as he has done with the Orthodox Church). As for Chechnia, Putin has made Ramzan Kadyrov something of a "political son" and has given the Chechens an extremely wide autonomy, especially in matters of religion. So is Putin anti-Muslim or pro-Muslim? Neither. Putin understands a simple thing which, so far, totally eludes western politicians: Russians are very good at killing Takfiris, but only Muslims can kill Takfirism.

[...]

So the key characteristic of Takfiris is that they believe that all those who do not follow their version of Islam are not even Muslims. How do you think that this makes these other Muslims feel about the Takfiris? Actually, there is nothing wrong in theological terms with the notion of "Takfir" just as there is nothing wrong with the notion of "excommunication" or, for that matter, "anathema" or "heretic". These are categories which, when properly used, are indispensable for specific types of theological arguments. However, just as "excommunicate", "anathema" or "heretic" can be used by some only as insults, slander or even calls to murder, "Takfirism" is first and foremost a mindset. Guns and bullets cannot defeat a mindset. In fact, only ideas can defeat other ideas. The Russians know that.

There are several videos on YouTube (alas, in Russian) which show Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov coming to the location of a battle with Chechen extremists and engaging the terrorists in a theological dispute about Islam. Instead of just ordering his troops to kill them all, he challenges them by asking them "so you think that you are Muslims and we are not?" or "how is our society not Islamic?". And his favorite one "if you can find a single quote in the Quran proving to me that what I do is not Islamic then I will immediately cease doing it". This does not always work. Some refuse to surrender and they are all inevitably killed (there is zero tolerance for Takfiris in Chechnia). But frequently this does work. Terrorists lay down their weapons, come out and instead of being abused and jailed or simply shot, they are sent to special prisons where Islamic preachers come and spend long hours teaching them about true Islam. And more often than not, when these young men come out they become volunteers for the Chechen security forces!

When will it end? US military AGAIN raises injury toll from Iran missile strike in Iraq - but only by one

The Pentagon has raised to 110 the number of U.S. service members who suffered traumatic brain injuries during an Iranian missile attack on an air base in Iraq last month.

The total figure announced on February 21 is one higher than the toll announced on February 10.

It represented the sixth time the U.S. military has raised the total of those suffering injuries in the attack that took place on the night of January 7-8.

President Donald Trump initially said that no Americans were harmed in the attack on the Ain al-Asad Air Base, which came amid tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Comment: The IRGC's take on this, from the last time the U.S. military gave updated figures:

Kataib Hezbollah spokesman states 'US forces surrounded in Iraq'

Spokesman of Kataib Hezbollah group Jaafar al-Hosseini said that the American forces are surrounded by the resistance groups in Iraq.

"Many people are not aware that now the Americans are fully surrounded in Iraq because they cannot traffic in Baghdad streets and they cannot go from one base to another but by helicopters," al-Hosseini said in an interview with the Arabic-language al-Mayadeen news channel on Tuesday night.

He added that the Americans have called for mediation of different figures and groups to prolong their presence in Iraq, but the resistance forces have rejected the demand.

"The US merely understands the language of force," al-Hosseini said.

Comment: Iraq has been requesting, and now demanding the US leave since 2018. What will happen when the Iraqi people have finally had enough?

Democrats resurrect 'Russiagate' to go after both Trump and Bernie Sanders, hide their own election trickery

clinton and warren

Establishment Democrats have now used the claims of 'Russian meddling' to go after their own progressive wing as well as President Donald Trump. The bogus accusation seems to be nothing more than cover for their own wrongdoing.

Moscow is now supposedly helping Bernie Sanders in the 2020 US presidential election - that is, if you believe the anonymously sourced Washington Post "bombshell." This follows a New York Times claim on Thursday that the Kremlin is "again" betting on Trump, written by known partisan hacks and likewise based on anonymous sources.

In the minds of the 'Russiagate' cult, the Kremlin is backing Sanders either to get Trump re-elected, or to get a "socialist" president. Never mind that Russia is not socialist, try arguing that there has been precisely zero evidence - now, or back in 2016 - that Russia has backed any US candidate, and watch people's heads explode. Much like the vaunted US "intelligence community," they want to believe. That's the only way they can explain the mind-breaking shock of Hillary Clinton losing to Trump.

Billionaire machinations make it likely Elizabeth Warren will win the Democratic nomination

warren sanders bloomberg Las Vegas debate
© John Locher / Associated PressFormer New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, left, and Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have their say at the February 19,2020 Democratic presidential primary debate in Las Vegas.
Bernie Sanders โ€” the only Democratic Presidential candidate who is supported by no billionaire โ€” is now clearly in a position where he has the support of more Democratic Party voters nationwide than does any other candidate. Therefore, the Democratic National Committee will likely hand its nomination to Elizabeth Warren, who is the only other contender in the contest who even possibly might be sufficiently preferred by Democratic Party voters for those voters to accept their Party's Presidential nomination being handed by its billionaires to someone else. No other nominee than she would be even possibly acceptable to both the billionaires and the voters. She would be the only compromise candidate (compromise between the Party's billionaires and its voters). She โ€” and she alone โ€” has been competing against Sanders as being an opponent of control over the Government by America's billionaires, and her statements in that regard have convinced a sufficient number of Democratic Party voters so that they will possibly be enough to defeat Donald Trump in the final election on November 3rd. Trump, of course, is funded by Republican Party billionaires. Therefore, as in 2016, it would be a contest between Democratic billionaires versus Republican billionaires. Here is how it would be done this time:
