Israeli reading of the preparations for US presidential elections

The Israelis are waiting with undeniable concern as preparations for the US presidential elections begin, and as they witness the disturbing political positions towards Israel, most notably with regard to the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, on the matter of relations with Iran, or regarding the Palestinian issue, or even when it comes to the current President Donald Trump, and the possibility of a change in his positions during his second term, since he will no longer need the support of the Zionist lobby.

Today, Israel is preparing for the possibility that Biden will be named president of the US. As far as foreign policy is concerned, Israeli policy forums consider Biden to be a long-time supporter of Israel. But, if he wins the elections, tensions may rise between him and the Israeli government over two main issues: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Iranian nuclear file. Therefore, from an Israeli point of view, it is probably advisable for Tel Aviv to start communicating with Biden and his advisers as soon as possible, to establish a secret channel for political discussions in order to serve as a basis to build trust between the two parties.

At the same time, and as an effort to rebuild their bipartisan support, Israeli political leaders are demanding that no action should be undertaken during the election campaign, since political polarisation is increasing. This will be interpreted in Washington as unilateral support for one of the candidates.

The coming coup?

Democrats are laying the groundwork for revolution right in front of our eyes.

As if 2020 were not insane enough already, we now have Democrats and their ruling class masters openly talking about staging a coup. You might have missed it, what with the riots, lockdowns and other daily mayhem we're forced to endure in this, the most wretched year of my lifetime. But it's happening.

It started with the military brass quietly indicating that the troops should not follow a presidential order. They were bolstered by many former generals — including President Trump's own first Secretary of Defense — who stated openly what the brass would only hint at. Then, as nationwide riots really got rolling in early June, the sitting Secretary of Defense himself all but publicly told the president not to invoke the Insurrection Act. His implicit message was:
"Mr. President, don't tell us to do that, because we won't, and you know what happens after that."

Five quick things: The most shamefully dishonest campaign in political history - lying is all Biden & Co do!

© Barbara KelleyLies politicians tell us
Did you happen to see, by any chance, the interview Bret Baier did on Fox News with a soy-eater named T.J. Ducklo, who serves as the national press spokesman for the Joe Biden campaign?

If you didn't, you really missed out, because it was pretty destructive. And with that, we'll launch into our Five Quick Things, which all fall under the category of evidence that the Biden campaign is the most shameless pack of liars ever unleashed on the American people.

This is by no means whatsoever an exhaustive list. It's simply the first five things that came to mind. We could easily come up with 25 more.

Senate chair to Horowitz: Open a probe into wiped Mueller phones for destroyed data, record retention, transparency

Sen. Ron Johnson
© AP Photo/Steve HelberWisconsin Senator Ron Johnson
Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson on Friday asked Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz to open an investigation into the dozen-plus phones belonging to associates of the Robert Mueller special counsel that had been wiped of data prior to being surrendered to investigators.

Government documents released this week listed multiple phones belonging to members of Mueller's Russia collusion probe as having been cleared of all data before they were handed over to Horowitz's office. Many of the phones, according to the documents, were purged of data after the users entered incorrect passwords too many times.

In his letter, Johnson — the chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs — said the missing data "raise[s] concerns about record retention and transparency."

The senator asked Horowitz's office to "open an investigation into this matter to determine what, why, and how information was wiped, whether any wrongdoing occurred, and who these devices belonged to."

Comment: Others are requesting similar information on the blatant erasure of recorded messages and call logs:
Johnson's request followed a letter from Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) to the FBI and Justice Department inquiring about the wiped phones and demanding that they produce all records Mueller's team did turn over, as well as unredacted copies of the FOIA documents.

Horowitz has mounted similar probes into the handling of internal messages by FBI agents involved in the Russia probe and mounted a major effort to retrieve messages deleted from some FBI phones. Horowitz detailed his findings and retrieval methods in a 2018 report.
Andrew Weissmann, who was the top prosecutor on Mueller's team, is listed twice on separate dates. One record states: "AAW accidentally wiped cell phone -- data lost": a second states: "entered password too many times and wiped his phone."

Trump talked about Weissmann during his Saturday evening rally in Nevada, saying there "has to be repercussions" for the deletions.
And Trump had more to say!
"ALERT: So now we find out that the entire Mueller 'hit squad' illegally wiped their phones clean just prior to the investigation of them," Trump tweeted.

He heaped scorn on the "really dumb" excuses that members of Mueller's team rolled out to explain why more than two dozen cell phones they used during the two-year investigation of Trump-Russia collusion allegations were rendered useless before the Justice Department's inspector general could check them.

"Just like Crooked Hillary [Clinton] smashing her phones with a hammer, & DELETING HER EMAILS!" Trump scoffed.

Julian Assange is not on trial for his personality, but here's how the US gov made you focus on it

Chomsky and Assange

On Monday Julian Assange was driven to the Old Bailey to continue his fight against extradition to the United States, where the Trump administration has launched the most dangerous attack on press freedom in at least a generation by indicting him for publishing US government documents. Amid coverage of the proceedings, Assange's critics have inevitably commented on his appearance, rumours of his behaviour while isolated in the Ecuadorian embassy, and other salacious details.

These predictable distractions are emblematic of the sorry state of our political and cultural discourse. If Assange is extradited to face charges for practising journalism and exposing government misconduct, the consequences for press freedom and the public's right to know will be catastrophic. Still, rather than seriously addressing the important principles at stake in Assange's unprecedented indictment and the 175 years in prison he faces, many would rather focus on inconsequential personality profiles.

Assange is not on trial for skateboarding in the Ecuadorian embassy, for tweeting, for calling Hillary Clinton a war hawk, or for having an unkempt beard as he was dragged into detention by British police. Assange faces extradition to the United States because he published incontrovertible proof of war crimes and abuses in Iraq and Afghanistan, embarrassing the most powerful nation on Earth. Assange published hard evidence of "the ways in which the first world exploits the third", according to whistleblower Chelsea Manning, the source of that evidence. Assange is on trial for his journalism, for his principles, not his personality.

FBI handler says supposedly reliable Steele acted 'crazy' due to Clinton partisanship

"Crazy" was the term the FBI agent used to describe the behavior of Christopher Steele, author of the now-debunked Trump-Russia dossier. "I've seen crazy source-related stuff in 20 years in New York and this was one of the craziest," the veteran agent testified to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Nevertheless, the FBI continued to rely on Steele's allegations - that Donald Trump and his team were conspiring with Russians who possessed compromising information - to justify its surveillance of the Trump campaign. Without evidence to verify Steele's claims, the FBI fell back on its assertion that the former British intelligence agent was reliable.

The previously unreported testimony of FBI agent Michael Gaeta is found on page 900 of the fifth and final volume of the Senate committee's probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election. It raises new questions about the basis of the FBI's investigation of the Trump campaign, Crossfire Hurricane, and the declarations it made to the FISA court in four separate applications submitted to spy on American citizens.

Germans now claim God poisoned Navalny - that's the god out of the machine

navalny
When it comes to fabrications in warfare, it was the ancient Greeks who invented the Trojan Horse. They also invented ἀπὸ μηχανῆς θεός - he has come down to us from the Latin, deus ex machina, meaning the god out of the machine. He's the culprit or the cause which resolves the inexplicable ending of a story by a device which drops out of the heavens, or rises through a trapdoor on stage.

Aristotle didn't think much of it because it's too plainly unbelievable. The deus ex machina, he thought, was the invention of the incompetent for an audience of simpletons.

Germany's Foreign Minister Heiko Maas doesn't know his ancient Greek. He also doesn't know his fellow Germans. They have removed him from the running to lead the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in next year's German national election. On his road to political oblivion, Maas has needed a public platform on which to regain his footing, he thinks. According to very well-informed Berlin sources, Maas is the official responsible, behind fifteen journalists of Der Spiegel, for fabricating the evidence of the case of Alexei Navalny (lead image, left), after he landed in Berlin.

After their first account of the Novichok poisoning of Navalny failed the standard biochemical and forensic tests, they have invented a new one. This is "harder", they have reported, claiming for source a secret briefing in a Berlin bunker by the BND, Germany's secret intelligence service.

But according to leading British organophosphate chemists, the new "Novichok" is not more credible than the first. This is also the reason no details of the substance have been handed over to the Russian Prosecutor-General, presented to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), or published in the German press. Maas's deus ex machina isn't visible, as even the ancient Greek audience demanded. It's offstage, in the dark.

Aussie minister warns foreign journos against 'slanted view' in spy row with Beijing, as cops crush lockdown dissent at home

Australia's Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton, warned foreign journalists that they may be investigated if they give a "slanted view" of the country. Meanwhile, cops in Victoria have crushed lockdown protests with an iron fist.

Dutton's comments came several days after the arrest of Cheng Lei, an Australian journalist with China's CGTN broadcaster, and after the evacuation of two Australian journalists from China last week.

Comment: In other words, after a spat with China, the Australian government is going to behave more like China? Aussie 'freedom and democracy' logic for ya!

"If people are here as journalists and they're reporting fairly on the news, then that's fine," Dutton told ABC TV on Sunday, adding that these journalists shouldn't give "a slanted view to a particular community." Dutton added that the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation - comparable to the British MI5 or American FBI - questioned some journalists this summer, but would not confirm if they were Chinese nationals, as had been reported.

Dutton's comments came amid a diplomatic spat with China over the evacuation of the Australian journalists. Beijing has accused the Australian government of "interference in a Chinese legal case" by pulling them out of China. The minister didn't directly address Chinese journalists in Australia, but indirectly cautioned any foreign reporters who may be "interfering or conducting espionage-type activities."

Silent bombshell: Trump reveals true motivation for US presence in Middle East - Israel, not oil

trump
© NBC NEWSTRUMP SPEAKS IN WINSTON-SALEM, NC, SEPT. 8, 2020.
Four days ago, Donald Trump said the U.S. isn't involved in the Middle East for oil, but because we "want to protect Israel." The comments have gone all but unreported in the mainstream press.

Trump made the comment during a rally in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Sept. 8, when he was bragging about America's energy independence, which he said Joe Biden would undermine if he gets the White House (minute 47):
I like being energy independent, don't you? I'm sure that most of you noticed when you go to fill up your tank in your car, oftentimes it's below two dollars. You say how the hell did this happen? Thank you President Trump! Look at your electric bills and everything else- these guys, your electric would go up four, five, six times. The Green New Deal it's called the Green New Nightmare. While I'm president, America will remain the number one producer of oil and natural gas in the world. We will remain energy independent. It should be for many many years to come. The fact is, we don't have to be in the Middle East, other than we want to protect Israel. We've been very good to Israel. Other than that, we don't have to be in the Middle East. You know there was a time we needed desperately oil, we don't need that anymore. We have more than they do, isn't that nice? After years of rebuilding other countries, we are finally building our country.
The American Conservative's Barbara Boland is the only reporter who seems to have picked up Trump's remarks. No one else cares, evidently.

Do you remember all the arguments about Why we are engaged in so many conflicts in the Middle East? And why we are going to war in Iraq? And the mainstream default position is that it's because of oil. Even though we lost concessions in Iraq.

Comment: And Trump wants to get out of the Middle East... And Trump is one of Israel's most vocal supporters... Contradictory? Well, yeah. That's why only Trump could get away with this kind of truth-telling.

As scandal-hit charity linked to Justin Trudeau shuts up shop in Canada, the silence of the woke brigade is deafening

justin trudeau

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau should be facing more ethics questions after the WE charity, which paid his family so well, ceased trading amid a financial scandal. But his status as a liberal icon will ensure no lasting damage.

The world of woke is in turmoil following the closure of Canadian operations and the shuttering of its London office by the painfully right-on WE charity.

Its former high-profile pals are scurrying to distance themselves from the accusations of financial mismanagement that threaten the career of Canadian PM and woke icon Justin Trudeau, whose squeaky-clean liberal credentials have been dragged through the mud by his association with the Kielburger brothers and the charity they started as kids in the kitchen of their family home.
