Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced she left the Democratic Party on Tuesday, denouncing the organization as an "elitist cabal."

Gabbard, who retired from the House of Representatives in 2021, attacked the institution in a nearly 30-minute video posted to her YouTube account. She did not announce plans to join the Republican Party or adopt any other political affiliation, however.

"I can no longer remain in today's Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism," Gabbard said in an excerpt posted to Twitter.

She went on to call on other moderate Democrats to follow in her footsteps.

Comment: Gabbard has been heading in this direction for a while. She's finally made the leap. If only there were more independent voices with her courage. and of course there was this epic moment, one of the few times Gabbard was allowed a platform by the DNC

Deputy of the Rada Goncharenko announced negotiations with Wallace on the destruction of the Crimean bridge, APA reports.

Ukraine held talks with British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace on a plan to destroy the Crimean Bridge at the NATO summit in June, Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko said.

The parliamentarian drew attention to the statement of expert Igor Korotchenko, who said on the air of the Rossiya 1 TV channel that, according to some information, the plan for striking the bridge was allegedly being developed under the personal supervision of the head of the British military department.

"Ben Wallace and I discussed the plan to destroy the Crimean bridge back in June," Goncharenko wrote, posting a photo from the talks, which, in addition to him and the head of the British Ministry of Defense, shows British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

In July, Aleksey Arestovich, an adviser to the head of Vladimir Zelensky's office, said that Ukraine could attack the Crimean Bridge as soon as the first technical opportunity appeared.

Comment: Ukraine and its NATO allies have long been looking at how to destroy the Crimean bridge. It just didn't quite work the way it was planned and Russia immediately started fixing the damage caused as well as finding out exactly who was behind. Russia drew the conclusion that they are dealing with terrorists.

The 19-km bridge linking the Crimean Peninsula to the Russian mainland sustained serious damage following the detonation of a truck bomb on one of its road sections on Saturday morning.

The secret British intelligence plot to blow up Crimea's Kerch Bridge is revealed in internal documents and correspondence obtained exclusively by The Grayzone.

The Grayzone has obtained an April 2022 presentation drawn up for senior British intelligence officers hashing out an elaborate scheme to blow up Crimea's Kerch Bridge with the involvement of specially trained Ukrainian soldiers. Almost six months after the plan was circulated, Kerch Bridge was attacked in an October 8th suicide bombing apparently overseen by Ukraine's SBU intelligence services.

Detailed proposals for providing "audacious" support to Kiev's "maritime raiding operations" were drafted at the request of Chris Donnelly, a senior British Army intelligence operative and veteran high ranking NATO advisor. The wide-ranging plan's core component was "destruction of the bridge over the Kerch Strait."

Documents and correspondence plotting the operation were provided to The Grayzone by an anonymous source.

The truck bombing of the Kerch Bridge differed operationally from the plot sketched therein. Yet, Britain's evident interest in planning such an attack underscores the deep involvement of NATO powers in the Ukraine proxy war. At almost precisely the time that London reportedly sabotaged peace talks between Kiev and Moscow in April this year, British military intelligence operatives were drawing up blueprints to destroy a major Russian bridge crossed by thousands of civilians per day.

The roadmap was produced by Hugh Ward, a British military veteran. A number of strategies for helping Ukraine "pose a threat to Russian naval forces" in the Black Sea are outlined. The overriding objectives are stated as aiming to "degrade" Russia's ability to blockade Kiev, "erode" Moscow's "warfighting capability", and isolate Russian land and maritime forces in Crimea by "denying resupply by sea and overland via Kerch bridge."

Amid the fresh round of sanctions imposed by the European Union, the partner nations are trudging their own line. Reportedly, Hungary and EU hopeful Serbia are planning to construct a pipeline between the two countries so that Russian oil from the southern Druzhba pipeline, also called the Friendship pipeline can be supplied to Serbia via Hungary.

Hungarian government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs took to Twitter to make the announcement and cited the new sanctions imposed as one of the main reasons that necessitated the new arrangement.

Belarus will not go to war with neighboring states provided there are no wrong steps on their part, Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said on Monday.

"We don't want to be at war with Lithuanians or Poles, let alone Ukrainians. If you don't want to and don't take wrong steps, then there will be no war," the Defense Ministry's press-service quotes Khrenin as saying.

He urged Ukraine not to provoke the Belarusian side and to refrain from spreading fake news about an allegedly impending attack by Minsk.

"We are aware that our Ukrainian neighbors are concerned today the Belarussian armed forces may take aggressive actions. There have been groundless allegations we have been planning an attack," Khrenin said. "Our answer to this has been and remains the same: do not provoke us. We are not going to go to war you."

Lawmakers from the US Democratic party, Richard Blumenthal and Ro Khanna, have proposed legislation to put an end to US arms sales to Saudi Arabia as a response to the decision by OPEC+ to cut production output levels.

According to the two lawmakers, Riyadh's support for Moscow, as it is seen by Washington, calls for a "far-reaching review of the US-Saudi relationship."

In an opinion piece co-written by Blumenthal and Khanna, released by US media outlet Politico on 9 October, they wrote: "The Saudi decision was a pointed blow to the US, but the US also has a way to respond: It can promptly pause the massive transfer of American warfare technology into the eager hands of the Saudi."

Comment: The US is set to lose either way, it needs the arms revenue, it needs the Saudis for its destabilisation of the Middle East, it needs their oil, but recent events have shown that the Saudis no longer feel they need the US.

Ukrainian soldiers have reportedly encountered interruptions in Starlink's satellite internet connectivity as they fight against invading Russian forces, Financial Times reported on October 7.

Under the condition of anonymity, two government officials told the news outlet that soldiers encountered connectivity issues when they visited cities that had just been liberated from the Russian occupation.

Since the liberation of some areas had not yet been announced, experts speculate that the problem may have been caused by SpaceX employees trying to prevent the Russian military from using the technology.

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, tweeted a response to the article. "This operation has cost SpaceX $80M & will exceed $100M by the end of year.". "Bad reporting by FT. This article falsely claims that Starlink terminals & service were paid for when only a small percentage have been," he added. "As for what's happening on the battlefield, that's classified," he noted.

Comment: Whilst it would make sense in terms of strategy, at the moment these allegations remain unconfirmed.
