Because magnesium deficiency causes all kinds of havoc with our cell physiology and worsens as we age, appropriate magnesium supplementation will not only help ensure we don't age so fast but it also will prevent many of the major diseases we are facing today. Research published in the American Journal of Epidemiology in 2002 showed that when the diets of 2,566 children ages 11-19 were studied, less than 14% of boys and 12% of girls had adequate intakes of magnesium.

When magnesium is deficient, things begin to die, but when our body's magnesium levels are topped off, our body physiology tends to hum along like a racecar yielding higher performance along many physiological parameters. Most doctors do not want to acknowledge that magnesium deficiency can lead directly to cancer, thus to a significantly shorter life. Same goes for diabetes and heart disease-magnesium deficiency brings on these diseases.

Quality Supplements: Is this the beginning of the end?

Just a few days ago, FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb released a wide-ranging statement about the FDA's regulatory approach to dietary supplements. The statement was short on details, and without more explanation we see some potential causes for concern. Consumers who care about supplement access must be on alert and stay engaged in this process, given the agency's demonstrated hostility towards the natural products industry.

Commissioner Gottlieb starts out by saying that he has personally benefitted from supplements, and as a physician recognizes the benefit of supplements for patients. So far, so good: we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he means what he says.

Commissioner Gottlieb goes on to discuss the prospect of "modernizing" the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA). Since the FDA cannot unilaterally change legislation, presumably he means working with Congress to change DSHEA. DSHEA set up the current framework for the regulation of supplements. Importantly, it said that supplements are food and would be regulated as such-not like drugs. This is crucial. If supplements were regulated like drugs, we would lose widespread access: supplements, being natural products, generally cannot be patented the same way drugs can and therefore, without that protection, they cannot afford to go through the expensive FDA approval. We've also been telling you about the back-channel at the FDA that allows Big Pharma to turn nutrients into drugs.

The FDA has issued a proposed mandate that represents the greatest threat to dietary supplements since 1994. Back in the early 1990s, consumers were so alarmed by FDA bullying that they staged a massive revolt. The result was that Congress passed a law prohibiting the FDA from banning popular nutrients (as the agency had threatened to do).

There was, however, a loophole in the 1994 law. The FDA was given authority to regulate ingredients introduced after October 15, 1994.

It has been 17 years, but the FDA just issued draconian proposals as to how it intends to regulate what it now calls "new dietary ingredients". You can find the FDA Draft Guidance on New Dietary Ingredients (NDI's) here. If implemented, some of the most effective nutrients you are taking will be removed from the market. Glyphosate found to raise the risk of non-Hodgkin lymphoma by 41%

A broad new scientific analysis of the cancer-causing potential of glyphosate herbicides, the most widely used weedkilling products in the world, has found that people with high exposures to the popular pesticides have a 41% increased risk of developing a type of cancer called non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The evidence "supports a compelling link" between exposures to glyphosate-based herbicides and increased risk for non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), the authors concluded, though they said the specific numerical risk estimates should be interpreted with caution.

The findings by five US scientists contradict the US Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) assurances of safety over the weed killer and come as regulators in several countries consider limiting the use of glyphosate-based products in farming.

Monsanto and its German owner Bayer AG face more than 9,000 lawsuits in the US brought by people suffering from NHL who blame Monsanto's glyphosate-based herbicides for their diseases. The first plaintiff to go to trial won a unanimous jury verdict against Monsanto in August, a verdict the company is appealing. The next trial, involving a separate plaintiff, is set to begin on 25 February , and several more trials are set for this year and into 2020.

A vegan Florida couple allegedly almost starved their five-month-old son to death after switching out his doctor-prescribed formula for an internet concoction made of mashed potatoes.

Julia French, 20, and Robert Buskey, 31, of Titusville, Florida, were charged with neglect after investigators found the infant weighed only 8 pounds, 8 ounces after being recorded at birth at 7 pounds, 9 ounces, according to WFTV news.

The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) said the boy was obviously malnourished with his ribs visible and eyes appearing sunken.

'At one point, when the child was doing good and healthy and gaining weight, he was on an organic formula and they changed it on their own,' said Titusville Police Detective Lauren Watson. 'I've never seen a child to this level, this close to possible death.'

Facebook is considering taking action against harmful and misleading content posted by 'anti-vaccination' activists on the social network.

Democrat US Congressman Adam Schiff had written to Facebook, as well as Google, asking them to address the issue of 'anti-vaxx' content on the platform.

In its response to Schiff, Facebook wrote that it is looking into removing misinforming content about vaccinations from recommendations to its users and to 'demote' it in searches on its platform.


Comment: Misinformation abounds all over mainstream media where Big Pharma owns 70% of the advertising and therefore the narrative.


In a letter to to Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Google's CEO Sundar Pichai, Schiff wrote: 'As a Member of Congress who is deeply concerned about declining vaccination rates, I am requesting additional information on the steps that you currently take to provide medically accurate information on vaccinations to your users, and to encourage you to consider additional steps you can take to address this growing problem.

Using millimetre waves as a fifth-generation or 5G wireless communications technology is a phoney war of another kind.

This phoney war is also silent, but this time shots are being fired - in the form of laser-like beams of electromagnetic radiation(EMR) from banks of thousands of tiny antennas[1] - and almost no one in the firing line knows that they are being silently, seriously and irreparably injured.

In the first instance, 5G is likely to make people electro-hypersensitive (EHS).[2] Perhaps it was sitting in front of two big computer screens for many of the 18 years I worked at the UN that made me EHS. When the UN Office at Vienna installed powerful WiFi and cellphone access points - designed to serve large, public areas - in narrow, metal-walled corridors throughout the Vienna International Centre in December 2015, I was ill continuously for seven months.

I did my best for two and a half years to alert the UN staff union, administration and medical service to the danger to the health of UN staff of EMR from these access points, but was ignored. That's why, in May 2018, I took the issue to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres [transcript]. He is a physicist and electrical engineer and lectured on telecommunications signals early in his career, yet asserted that he knew nothing about this. He undertook to ask the World Health Organization to look into it, but seven months later those public access points remain in place. I received no replies to my many follow-up emails.

"Lawn chemicals, particularly, ones containing 2,4-D, have been linked to at least two types of canine cancers. Studies found that lawn chemicals travel to neighboring yards and inside homes, and chemicals have been found in the urine of dogs whose owners did not spray their lawns."

Sadly, the evidence that lawn chemicals are linked to cancers in dogs has been accumulating steadily over the past 20 years. Even if you don't own a pet this should raise alarms for anyone who cares about children or just your own health.

As Prof. John Reiff of Colorado State University reminds us, "Animals may be sensitive indicators of environmental hazards and provide an early warning system for public health intervention, as exemplified by the iconic canary in the coal mine." He shared the results of work at Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine that found exposure to lawns or gardens treated with herbicides was associated with an increased risk of bladder cancer in dog breeds studied.

While there is current controversy in public health circles and the news about the use of Monsanto/Bayer's Roundup (glyphosate), another herbicide, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), has a controversial history as well. It was banned in Sweden for use in the lumber industry because of concerns about cancer among lumberjacks in 1988 and banned for general use in 1990.

The so-called Reproductive Health Act states that "every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry the pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to have an abortion." This erases the state's recognition of preborn babies older than 24 weeks as potential homicide victims, removes abortion from the penal code entirely, and allows licensed health practitioners other than medical doctors to perform abortion procedures.

This has many people up in arms as it essentially removes the limits on abortion. The Left frames it as a victory for women's rights while the Right are calling those who promote the new mandate participants in a culture of death who authorize infanticide.
