Flooding struck in Accra and surrounding areas in Ghana on 10 October after heavy rainfall.
Media reported a heavy downpour lasting several hours, early on 10 October, causing floods in areas of Accra and neighbouring Kasoa in Central Region. Just over 78 mm of rain was recorded at Kotoka International Airport in Accra in 24 hours to 10 October.
The floods caused traffic chaos, with some reports of vehicles being abandoned or swept away. Images shared on Social Media showed roads turned to rivers, with raging flood water up to 1 metre deep. Reports also suggest homes have also been damaged, although there are no reports of displacements or fatalities.
Days of heavy rainfall in South East Asia have caused flooding in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. More severe weather is on its way as Tropical Storm "Linfa" approaches central Vietnam.
Cambodia
Flooding in parts of Cambodia over the last few days has left at least 10 people dead and thousands affected.
The first of the recent spate of flooding began in early October 2020 when around 150 people were evacuated from their homes in areas of Banteay Meanchey province, in particular Ou Chrov District close to the border with Thailand.
Several other provinces were also affected by heavy rain at the time, including Pursat, Battambang, Kampong Speu and Kampong Chhnang.

The Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment are responding to reports four whales have become trapped in Macquarie Harbour, on Tasmania's west coast where 470 of the mammals were stranded last month (pictured)
A small pod of pilot whales have become stranded in Macquarie Harbour on Tasmania's rugged west coast, only weeks after a mass stranding in the same harbour left hundreds dead.
The Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment are responding to reports a large pilot whale became stuck in the harbour near Strahan on Saturday afternoon.
Three smaller pilot whales, which were swimming with the large whale before it became stranded, also remain in the harbour.
The whales appear to be healthy and should be returned to sea on Sunday, wildlife biologist Sam Thalmann says.

Two fishermen watched as a waterspout developed before their eyes over Lake Erie
We are beginning to see the interlacing of Grand Soar Minimum intensification reducing the length of growing seasons, leading to higher food prices where people cannot afford to eat after all of the business closures across continents. This is pushing the need for food banks, but China experienced the worst crop wipe out in the last 200 year and are actively buying grain and commodity crops across the planet, driving up prices further. This in turn adds 10% to food prices where more people can't afford food, sending them to food banks. Record waterspout count in the Great Lakes as South America enters a drought further reducing global grain totals. The spiral is in play.
As well as natural disasters devastating crop growth, the insane response to the coronavirus crisis and losing value of currency in Western nations in particular, have made the production, availability, purchasing and distribution of food - a MAJOR global issue the likes of which we haven't seen in generations.
Forest fires in Syria and neighbouring Lebanon have killed two people and burned swathes of land since Thursday, state media and officials said.
Syrian state television on Saturday morning broadcast scenes from the affected areas, where firefighters were working to extinguish the blazes.
It said hundreds of hectares had burned in the countryside of Syria's coastal Latakia and Tartus provinces, and in the central Homs province.
The health ministry said two people died in Latakia province on Friday as a result of the fires, and that 70 people in the area were taken to hospital suffering breathing difficulties.

Hurricane Delta floods the gulf coastal town of Sulphur, Louisiana.
More than 5 million people are under flash flood warnings across the lower Mississippi River Valley after Delta made landfall as a Category 2 hurricane and continued to drench the Southeast.
Delta, now a tropical storm, dropped over a foot of rain in Louisiana and its powerful winds pounded communities already ravaged by Hurricane Laura weeks ago. In its wake, it left nearly 730,000 homes and businesses along the Gulf Coast without power, according to poweroutage.us.
Flash flood emergencies were also issued following the heavy rain, with parts of southwest Louisiana receiving up to 17 inches of water. Lake Charles Mayor Nic Hunter, who rode out the storm in a downtown building, said the experience felt a little like "deja vu."
It's snowing!? That is the question being asked after some Canadians woke up to a blanket of white snow this morning, in October.
Residents from a town called Antigonish, in Nova Scotia, were in for a big surprise when they looked out of their windows and saw snow covering the ground and in some cases, mounted on their cars.
They quickly took to social media to share the news and show the rest of Canada just how epic the precipitation got so early in the year.
One resident woke up to her car covered in snow, but was very cheerful and welcomed the unexpected mix of seasons into town.
A man is dead and his wife was seriously injured Thursday after they were attacked by their own dog at a mobile home park in Moses Lake, sheriff's officials said.
The dog was identified as a pit bull or pit bull mix, said Kyle Foreman of the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
The incident unfolded at about 11:20 a.m. when a neighbor called 911 to report a dog attack at the Harvest Manor Mobile Home Park in the 4800 block of Airway Drive.
Deputies and medics responded to the scene and found the man and woman with severe injuries consistent with a dog attack.
"The purpose of GLADIO was to attack civilians, the people - women, children, innocent people, unknown people, far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to force the public to turn to the State and demand greater security. Under a strategy of tension, you 'destabilize in order to stabilize', to create tension within society and promote conservative, reactionary social and political tendencies."
