Three farmers and a child were killed, while two women were also seriously injured, after being struck by lightning at Sangovar village under Nardiganj block of Nawada district on Friday.

Sunita Devi and Shobhi Devi are undergoing treatment at sadar hospital.

According to cops, the victims were working in the fields when it started raining, and they took shelter under a tree. During this time, they were struck by lightning.

The deceased have been identified as Shambhu Kumar, 45, Madan Rajvanshi, 50, Bhuvneshwar Rajvanshi, 50, and Sonu Kumar, 12.
